Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Hello, everyone. Once again, it is time for morning prayer. Good to see y’all. Glad you’re here in the chapel.

There are some very specific things God is doing in this hour. And one of them is He is endeavoring to turn the hearts of His people back to Him for prayer and for the purpose of reaching out and winning the lost and doing the work that He intends to accomplish yet in this hour and in this time. So just know that this morning.

Isaiah 6—“Here I am, send me…”

Well, I thought I would share a passage found in Isaiah chapter six from the New Living Translation. It says “It was the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty…” I think the King James version says high and lofty or a high throne or something. But here it says, “a lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Attending Him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s armies. The whole earth is filled with His glory.’ Their voices shook the temple to its foundations, and in the entire building was filled with smoke.”

I like that.

“Then I said, ‘It’s all over. I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips. I live among a people with filthy lips, yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’ Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from off the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips and said, ‘This coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.’ Then I heard the Lord asking, ‘Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?’ I said, ‘Here I am. Send me.’”

Through Jesus, our sins are forgiven…

I love that. And should be a reminder to us this morning that through the finished work of Jesus, He has removed yours and my guilt. Through the finished work of Jesus, through His shed blood, His broken body, and the price He paid in full, we are entirely worthy to come into His presence. Totally loved, endowed, and prepared to enter into the ministry of prayer. Endowed and prepared to do what He has assigned for us to do in this hour through our lives.

James 5:16…

There’s another passage of scripture that is familiar, I’m sure, to some of you. It’s found in James 5:16, Amplified Classic, “The earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.”

Let’s join the Lord in doing His work…

I wanted to read the story about Charles Finney just to kind of stir up your consciousness regarding the power of prayer, remind you that our role in this hour, as I’ve said often, is to join him in the work that He’s doing, and that fundamentally is to precipitate revival, to bring about His glory into the earth realm, into our cities, into our nation, and into our churches. And prayer, make no mistake about it, is integral to that happening.

Charles Finney was a man of prayer…

Prayer always precedes a move of God, as somebody once said. Every time in the Bible, it was time for change or it was time for revival or it was time for an awakening, God led His people to pray, even just a remnant of them. The story goes about Charles Finney during the time of the Second Great Awakening, that he left his law practice to study the Word and pray. He would go out into the woods for hours to pray near an old split rail fence. One day, he had an encounter with God that changed his life and ultimately would change our nation. This occurred in, I believe, 1821.

“The Holy Spirit descended upon Finney,” he said, “in such a manner that it seemed to go through me body and soul.”

Come on now! The Spirit of God wants to go through us once again, body and soul. Don’t you want that? Oh, there’s so much at stake right now. Nations and the countless lives within nations are at stake right now. It’s remarkable what God is doing. For example, in Africa, or has been doing for many years now in Africa. The tens of thousands of people that come together in the simplicity of what they have heard about this Jesus to attend these great revival meetings. I mean, all over the nations of Africa right now, still to this day, including many that are predominantly controlled by Muslim factions in those nations. People will risk life and limb and livelihood and reputation to travel on foot, many times miles, to hear the Good News of the Gospel, to say a simple prayer that reorients and transforms their lives from that day forward.

Testimony of taking the Gospel to Africa…

I was listening last night to something about a minister who I don’t know what nation he’s from, but he takes huge caravans of semis and trucks across the continent of Africa. And if you know anything about Africa, it is enormous. I mean, it even dwarfs the lower 48. It’s so massive. And they drive from country to country, over roads where they can go usually no more than 30 miles an hour, avoiding huge potholes and pools of water that have pooled up in the middle of the road, from country to country. They don’t just cross over like we do from Colorado to Utah or from Minnesota to Wisconsin without even thinking about or even knowing about it half the time. They have to stop, unload their trucks, go through customs, pay a bribe maybe, from country to country just to go to preach the Gospel. And this minister goes and hosts these meetings where literally tens of thousands, sometimes near a million people attend these meetings just to hear the Good News of the Gospel.

Anyway, I was watching a little video about some of the work that he’s doing, and it just broke me on the inside. Like, man, what are we doing in America? I mean, thank God for the blessings we have in this nation in so many ways. But it was never intended from the perspective of the Godhead to acquiesce us to the status quo, to cause us to settle in a place of comfort and convenience, never to go any further.

America’s prosperity was meant to empower us to go and do what He’s called us to do…

No, what He’s made available to us in the way of freedom and liberty, and what He’s made available in the way of prosperity and blessing was meant to empower us to pray, empower us to go and to do what He’s called us to do in every way. And I’m convinced this morning there is another step for every one of us to take…

In this moment of history
In this moment of consequence
In this moment of unfolding awakening and a revival

Every one of us has a part…

I honestly broke down as I watched that simple three- or four-minute video, seeing the tens of thousands, actually millions, as they showed nation after nation after nation and all the effort that went into making those crusades happen. I thought, “Wow, this man, this ministry is truly sold out. These people are truly hungry.” Truly, the Bible is correct when it says that the fields are whitened, that the wheat, the precious fruit of the earth’s souls, is truly ready to be reaped.” And we facilitate the reaping through our prayers, through our obedience, through our generosity, through whatever God has assigned for us.

Statistics during Revolutionary War…

So I just want to stir us up here this morning with the consciousness and the awareness that things are happening around the earth right now, that what the news media is reporting is not accurate. I think you know that. Somebody threw a quote out the other day that during the Revolutionary War, there were maybe 16 or 17% of Americans at the time were, like, professing Christians in the sense that they had an encounter with God and it was meaningful and important to them. And they had made a commitment to serve and follow Him.

Barna research…

In April of 2025, Barna did a study that showed that I think it was nearly 66% of Americans, just about a little over a year ago, said that they’ve had meaningful encounters and commitments to God that are still important to them to this day.

God is moving in Sweden…

I read the thing about Sweden the other day and what’s going on in Sweden. I’ve referenced the fact that salvations and baptisms are happening across college campuses, in high schools. You can barely tune in to football Saturday to watch college games or other sporting events where athletes aren’t kneeling down and praying at the center of the field with those who they’re competing with.

Things are looking up…

So don’t get it mixed up. The world would say everything’s going to hell in a handbasket, but I’m here to say, no, things are looking up. Will there be more trials and tribulation? Will end time prophetic events unfold? Sure they will. But that doesn’t mean God’s not going to get His way and have a huge harvest and revive the church and turn America. America is turning. It doesn’t look the greatest in Europe, but I’m here to tell you, America’s heading in the right direction. And we’ll continue to head in the right direction as we pray and as we say and as we speak over our nation.

Don’t be a Negative Nelly…

And not be Negative Nelly about your life, about your nation, about your church, but begin to say what God has said. The Bible does not laud what the enemy’s doing or promote and give a whole lot of credence to that. It tells us to be aware and wise to the enemy’s devices, alert to his presence and what he might try to do. But the last time I checked, my Bible says that He is the one that is always able to cause us to triumph, that our lot in life, that our assigned path is to go from glory to glory, from victory to victory, to strength to strength. That we would succeed and prosper in the plan of God for our lives today.

Rejoicing and being glad is a form of prayer…

So let’s start today. Amen? Prayer isn’t just on your knees, eating carpet, praying in tongues. That is a prayer, certainly, but it’s also as you go about doing what you’re doing today, to pay the bills, to mow the grass, to deal with an appointment or something, and in a moment of time, you just speak out, “Today is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Rejoicing and being glad is a form of prayer. Decreeing over your nation, speaking over your children, your grandchildren, your finances, speaking into the atmosphere of the future that’s ahead of you is a form of prayer, just speaking out. As I said Monday, last time I checked, the Bible said that we move mountains with our words. Amen? We assign power. We release the plan of God with words.

The Charles Finney experience…

So Charles Finney had this great experience that he said penetrated him body and soul with the presence of God. Any time you turn to God, any time you devote time to Him, any time you lift up your holy hands before you go to bed, I’m telling you, it gets God’s attention. He is, without a doubt, searching in this moment of history across the whole globe to find even a few that He can show Himself strong on their behalf and through them.

Will you become a lightning rod?

Will we become lightning rods for heaven’s glory? That’s my question to you. Will you become a lightning rod? In other words, one who stands up and says, like Isaiah, “Here I am, Lord. Send me. Here I am, Lord. Light me up. Strike me with the lightnings of heaven.”

“Who among you will stir him or herself up to take hold of more of God?”

I want to see not just what’s going on in Africa happen in those nations, but we need to see it in America. We don’t need to see what’s been predicted as, like, 10,000 churches closing in America in the next year. We need to see another 10,000 or more planted and started in America, in Minnesota, across the Midwest. But that’s going to require a fight. That’s going to require a tenacity. That’s going to require a fire rising up in our bellies that causes us to not stay comfortably numb in our church seats or in our present reality. But instead, the Bible poses this question, “Who among you will stir him or herself up to take hold of more of God?” That’s something we have to do. That’s an effort we have to make every day, or whenever it crosses our mind. “I’m going to take my last five minutes of my lunch and I’m going to pray. I’m going to lift up holy hands. I’m going to speak the Word over the rest of my day, over my nation, over my children.”

Finney said…

“I could feel the impression of the Spirit of God like a wave of electricity go through me. Indeed, it seemed to come in waves of liquid love, for I could not express it any other way. It seemed like the very breath of God. I can remember distinctly that it seemed to fan me like immense wings.”

Oh Lord, fan us with immense wings today, we pray, right?

“No words can express the wonderful love that was spread abroad in my heart.”

From that day forward, Finney went into ministry and within a couple of years, he was preaching all over the northeastern part of the United States from city to city. Many supernatural things began to happen, and usually within a couple of nights, the whole town was in his meetings, in places like New Hampshire and Maine and Pennsylvania. Conviction of the Holy Spirit would fall on children and adults alike during this time of the Second Great Awakening. Someone would have to often get Mr. Finney so he could preach to the schools, to businesses, because people fell under the conviction of their sins, and they didn’t know what to do. They were writhing in agony of the conviction of their sin, and they needed somebody to send Mr. Finney, or later a minister. Or on ships 10 miles off the coast of the US on the East Coast, they would ask for a chaplain to come and lead these hardened, sinful sailors in the sinner’s prayer.

God’s going to have His way in America in the 21st century…

I’m here to tell you this morning. What he did had an enormous impact on our society; 100,000 people in one area near Rochester, New York were saved. Crime in the cities was decreased by two-thirds. Jails were nearly empty for a year. Judges didn’t have anything to do. At one point, there were 1,500 revivals going on at one time in the northeastern part of the United States. And it was all the result of supernatural prayer.

Moves of God are always preceded by prayer…

And I commented, both of America’s Great Awakenings can be traced back to a people who were so hungry for God, so desperate for fresh fire, that something supernatural descended on them, and they were no longer their own. They became a conduit of prevailing prayer to birth something new in the earth and in our nation at that time.

That’s exactly what’s happening here. We are so hungry for God, right? We’re going to birth something. We are and have and it is being birthed before our very eyes.
