Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Morning, everyone. Happy Monday! Are you all alert enough to pray this morning? Because it is time to pray. Welcome everyone! Good to have you guys with us. My name is Ken, and I’m excited to join you all in some time of prayer here today.

I think I’ll start by referencing a couple of scriptures, and then we’ll get into it. I’ve got something to read as well it. There’s a lot going on in our world. We’re approaching midterm elections right here in the United States, and someone just reminded me about Israel’s election tomorrow. So we’ll lift that up as well today.

We are at a time where we cannot be without the Holy Spirit…

Truthfully, we are at a moment in God’s timetable of events where we cannot be without the Holy Spirit. And if you profess Jesus, you’ve invited Him into your life, then you have the presence of the Holy Spirit with you. However, we must give Him attention. We must acknowledge Him. We must actively pursue relationship with the Holy Spirit, actively engage with Him, and recognize His leadership and His guidance and His simple promptings in our everyday lives.

Because He’s there for a good reason. And that reason is not just to protect us, not just so that we’ll make right decisions that will go well for us, but also to carry out the Father’s plan. We’ve been sent, I like to say, into time and space to be a people who help to establish God’s purposes in our world, in our lives, in our communities, and beyond.

John 16:12…

And let me simply remind you of a passage found in the Gospel of John 16:12 in the New King James Bible. It says, “I still have many things to say to you,” this is Jesus speaking, “but you can’t bear them…” or you’re not ready for them at the moment. “However, when He, the Spirit of truth,” that would be the Holy Spirit, “has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak, and He will tell you things to come. For He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and will declare it to you.”

Now, when it says, “He will guide you into all the truth,” of course, that means doctrinal truth, the truth regarding the scriptures, but it also means the truth regarding your future or your today, what ought to be so, what ought to be a reality for you.

God has a reality, a marked plan, for our todays and tomorrows…

In other words, God has a reality. We see a reality. We maybe presently experience a reality, but how many of you know God has a reality, a marked plan for our todays and our tomorrows? And the Holy Spirit comes to reveal what that is…

How we’re to walk in it
How we’re to function
What decisions we’re to make.

And the more you give yourself to acknowledging the Holy Spirit, the more you choose to partner with the Holy Spirit in prayer and in simple acknowledgment, the more your life will align with what God has planned for us, for you, and for me. And the more things will go well for us.

Now let me read to you a passage found in the Acts 4:23–30. It says this…

“And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. So when they heard that, they raised their voices to God with one accord.”

Did you catch that?

With one accord, they raised their voices to God. I just want to point out that I know that I’m the point person, so to speak. I’m leading. However, when we come together, whether it’s in this chapel or you’re with us online, we’re all here by assignment. We’re all here to raise our voices together. We all have a supply to offer. We all have something that must be articulated, decreed, interceded for, and we do that together. It’s not about one person. It’s about each of us joining together in the spirit of prayer to offer up our faith and the words that God is inspiring us to say so that God gets his way.

Continued…

“So when they heard that, they raised their voices to God with one accord and said, ‘Lord, you are God who made heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them, who by the mouth of your servant David have said, ‘Why did the heathens rage and the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’ For truly, against your holy servant Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles and the people of Israel were gathered together to do whatever your hand and your purpose determined before to be done.’ Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to your servants with all boldness they may speak your word.”

We pray for that today, right? For us. Lord, look onto your servants and grant us boldness. If there ever was a moment to not stay silent, if there ever was a moment to show up on God’s radar screen, it is now. If there ever was a moment when we press down on the accelerator of God’s purposes, it is now.

It’s not a time to relax.
It’s not a time to relent or back off or give up.
It’s a time to lean in.

We’re going to do that through prayer today. We’re going to lean in to what God has planned out, what He has already predetermined should come to pass if we’ll pray and we’ll believe.

So it goes on to say…

“By stretching out your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled or gathered together was shaken. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.”

Building shaking power…

So prayer had a very definite outcome, that when they prayed, it caused the building in which they were assembled, that very place to be shaken. When was the last time you were in a prayer meeting where the facilities began to shake? I don’t know about you, but I’m believing I’m going to see that before Jesus returns, that we’re going to experience that perhaps right here, even today, amen?

We know it’s possible because we have this account, and there are many other accounts that prayer produces so much power that it can shake not only hearts, not only lives, not only situations, but whole structures and buildings and places.

And then it says…

“And they spoke the Word of God with boldness.”

Prayer will embolden you…

Make no mistake about it, when you give yourself to prayer, and in particular prayer in the Holy Spirit, it does something on the inside of you. It emboldens you without a doubt. It releases words. It releases wisdom. It releases the deep and the bottomless things of God so that they are available and accessible to you and to me. There is a depth to God that we have yet to experience and we have yet to draw from. And I believe that in these days, we’re going to draw from the depths of His wisdom, His strategy, His solutions, His victory, His miraculous, His power for you and for me and for the church at large. But prayer has an important part to play in that.

Excerpt from Kenneth Hagin’s Bible Study Course on Prayer…

Let me read something to you from Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s book on prayer. He’s got a study course on prayer. And let me just read a little bit and then we’ll pray into this. He’s speaking here of this one passage about Paul and Silas. How many of you know that when Paul and Silas prayed, there was shaking that went on? And there was an earthquake. And the jail cells flung open, and they were set free. They were in their midnight hour, so to speak, and they shifted from prayer. They prayed a good deal of time, and then they shifted to praise and to worship.

And Brother Hagin writes…

“Anybody can pray while he is in trouble, but they sang praises too,” Paul and Silas, that is. “Their backs were bleeding. Their feet were in stocks. It was midnight. That is a dark and hopeless situation. When they sang to God, their backs were still the same. Their feet were still in stocks.” In other words, they were bound. “They were still in the inner prison. It was still midnight. Things hadn’t changed. They had no manifestation or help or deliverance at all when they sang praises to God.”

Make it your habit to praise God…

In other words, it was a faith project. I made it a habit in my life when I hurt or when I feel hopeless or my situation hasn’t changed, I say, “Father God, I thank you that I can by faith pray or I can by faith give you praise and worship.” What a privilege that we get to go by faith and not by sight, that we can live by believing and not by seeing. What a privilege. Amen? That we can choose the Word over what we have been told or what the enemy’s trying to convince us of in our intellect and say, “God, nothing may have changed. I still may feel the same. The future doesn’t look bright maybe in the natural lens of things, but your Word says XYZ. Your Word says you’re the one who’s always able to cause me to triumph. Your Word says you’re able to do exceeding abundantly above and beyond what we can ask or think.”

The Word is chock-full of divine DNA…

The Word of God is not to be a dusty narrative on the shelf that we access occasionally on an emergency occasion. The Word of God is something we’re to put to work as pray-ers and believers every single day. It is, as I say, chock-full of divine DNA and supernatural power to remove burdens, to destroy yokes, to release wisdom and strategy for the time and events that you might be facing. It’s able to heal bodies. We all know that, right? He sent His Word, the Old Testament scripture says, and healed them.

Challenge!

So I just challenge you this morning you’ve got the Word before you today. No matter what has or hasn’t changed, no matter how things are looking, no matter what is reported on ZNN or social media, you have the Word of God, and you can change what you see by what you say and what you pray.

So Brother Hagin goes on to say…

“Things hadn’t changed. They had no manifestation of help or deliverance at all when they sang praises to God. I’m convinced that if most Christians would quit praying and begin praising, it wouldn’t be long until something would happen. Praise and worship is a high form of prayer.

“At midnight, they prayed and sang praises. That is the thing that gets the job done. They didn’t pray and then gripe and fuss and bellyache about it. If you’re going to do that, you are not going to get anywhere because you’re wasting your time. You might just as well mark that down on your calendar right now. It is praying and believing that gets the job done.”

Starts right there, praying and believing.

Hebrews 4:3 says…

“For which we have believed do enter into rest, as He said, ‘I have sworn in My wrath if they shall enter into my rest,’ although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. When you pray and believe, you enter into rest, then you can sing praises to God. It doesn’t say that you enter into a state of fretting or worrying. It doesn’t say that you enter into a state of worry, agitation, confusion, perplexity, and anxiety. It says that they entered into rest, the people of God. It is only the prayer of believing that God hears.

“Matthew 21:22 says, ‘All things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.’ Come on now. There’s a good place for an amen right there. All things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

Do you believe we’re going to get some answers this morning? That you’re going to receive encouragement this morning? That change is going to begin to unfold for you today?

“Paul and Silas received here, so I know they believed. We which do believe have entered into rest. Isn’t it strange how people pray about things, but instead of believing, they will go into a tirade of worry and doubt? They want to blame it all on someone because it didn’t work out. They are going to keep on talking unbelief and keep on griping and complaining because it is not going to work.

“Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God. Some people say that they want to pray quietly because the Lord knows they have a song in their heart. But if it is there, it is going to come out of your mouth. The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. If it is in there, it is going to come out.”

Isn’t that interesting?

In fact, maybe there’s somebody here today or somebody listening online, you’ve been thinking about something.

You’ve been thinking about asking God.
You’ve been thinking about giving a shout.
You’ve been thinking about making a bold faith decree.

Well, guess what?

The next step is to proclaim that.
Say that.
Articulate that.

He goes on to say…

“The rest of the verse says that the prisoners heard them. If they only had it on the inside and didn’t sing it out, the prisoners wouldn’t have heard them. They didn’t pray quietly. No wonder some people’s praying never shakes anything. It doesn’t even move them.”

And he quotes this verse…

“And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s hands were loosed.”

Not because they quietly and silently reflected, but because they opened their mouths and began to say what they were seeing in their hearts, what they were hearing in their spirits. They boldly leaned into what God had promised and began to declare that.
