Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader Jeannie…
Good morning. Welcome to Corporate Prayer. Once again, I have the honor to pray and be with the most powerful people on the planet, and that is those in the chapel. My name is Jeannie.
Pastor Jim’s testimony…
Pastor Jim’s message this weekend confirmed and kind of sharpened some things that Holy Spirit had been sharing with Mike and me just recently and just everything that’s been happening.
You know what? Before I get into that, because it’s going to be maybe a two-minute deal, let’s just pray in the Spirit and have Isaiah worship. So if you just start worshiping, just praising and worshiping, and we’re going to pray in the Spirit while he does that, because we are going to declare suddenlies today.
Rick Renner said something recently…
He said he was going through a storm. And he was asking God, “What are you trying to teach me?” And he said, “Did you know that when you’re going through a storm, that’s the worst time to be taught something?” Sometimes you just got to get through the storm.
And when Rick Renner, Bible scholar, shared, “When you’re in a storm, it’s the worst time to try to be taught something,” it freed me. And God tweaked something in my very goal-oriented demeanor. And He said to me, “Precious, precious daughter, you see every challenge as an opportunity to learn. But…”
Perhaps now you’re to learn to be loved.
Perhaps now you’re to learn what it means to belong to Me.
Perhaps now you’re to learn what it is to be a daughter of a good, good Father.
During the storm…
What if when there’s a storm, it’s not time to learn. It’s just time to be loved. So it was after Jesus silenced the storm that He began to instruct the disciples. But during the storm…
He didn’t shame them
He didn’t blame them
He calmed the storm
Perfect love casts out all fear…
So Holy Spirit was talking to me about this, and then to have Pastor Jim share what he did on Sunday, talking about how he’s been dealing with fear, just with what’s happening with him personally. We’ve suffered a loss on our worship team and just in the body of Christ at Living Word, and the financial pressure. And that what he did was to meditate on the scripture, that is “perfect love casts out all fear.”
And in that scripture, it talks about that when we know God’s perfect love that casts out all fear, there is no fear of punishment. You’re not being punished. It’s just the enemy. So, Holy Spirit, make me articulate now, because this can’t just be about what God showed me, and then we not get into prayer and get some things moving today.
Dealing with fear…
But this morning when I woke up, I saw myself kind of sharing these things. So when Pastor Jim shared the pressure, he said, “Look, I’ve been dealing with fear because of what’s happening with Rolo.” And then the financial pressure from the church, and then also just the severe losses that have been suffered corporately as a church, and for me personally. Okay? So think about that. Emotional pressure, spiritual pressure, financial pressure.
So much pressure!
And what did he do? God’s perfect love casts out all fear. It wasn’t, “I’m going to get out my sword and I’m going to fight.” Okay? So if we don’t pay attention in Word of faith, we can start to make faith a performance. And we can start to make our words and our confession a performance. And then when we slip up, the enemy lies to us and tells us, “Well, you’re still in the storm because you’re not saying the right thing.” Because you’re not performing. Okay?
But God’s perfect love casts out all fear. So what he would propose to us instead of doing the… Okay you’re dealing with pressure on every side. And so you’re Word of Faith, okay? So you’re going to be a good Christian, and you’re going to speak the right thing, okay? And in the meantime, the enemy is in here doing this, okay? And you know in your mind you’re not saying the right thing all the time. And then the enemy can get in there and say, “Well, you doubted, and so now that’s why you’re still in the storm.” Right?
Start from the basic…
So what He was talking to me about is He’s like, “Jeannie, instead of trying to learn something when you’re being challenged, start from the basic, most foundational foundation of all, that Me, a good Father, sacrificed His only Son for you. Lean in on that. Lean in on the fact that you are loved, that you’re beloved, that it is literally impossible for you to be condemned.”
Literally.
“In fact, even faith, you’re leaning on Jesus’ faith, and that faith was a gift from Me. You cannot perform your way out of this.” So when you’re trying to perform your way out of it, thinking you’re being a good Christian, you crumble. And you can’t figure out how come it’s not working. Because it’s Jesus who’s lifting you up. It’s in Him you’re relying on, you’re leaning on His faith. See what I mean?
Rising up from the place of perfect love…
Your identity is getting strengthened in Him. And then it’s out of that place we exercise our authority, okay? Versus it’s out of that place our confession speaks to the mountain because we know we have the authority. But when we do it from a place of, “I have to learn something,” instead of “I belong to Him, I’m His daughter, He loves me, He thinks I’m perfect. I’m absolutely perfect in Him,” and then from that place, I rise up and I exercise my authority and things move.
Your life shames the enemy…
Here’s the other part. From that place, the unction of Holy Spirit, the revelation that Jesus endured everything you have ever endured, and He died for you, and He finished it, and He made the Devil ashamed. The revelation that your life shames the enemy causes you to rise up and boss things around in Jesus’ name.
The enemy at the Mall of America…
So here we are. Someone was just arrested yesterday for their attempt on a very brutal massacre at the Mall of America. Jesus is God! It shall not be in Minnesota. It shall not be at Living Word. How do I know that? Because Jesus is God. Because we’re the Church. Because His perfect love casts out all fear.
So then the storms become opportunity to speak, opportunity to declare. They’re not something for us to perform against. They’re something that we already are the boss of, because the boss is inside of us and we come in His name. So it’s that teeny, tiny tweak that has shifted things for us in such a massive way, that when you’re in a storm, God is not trying to teach you something.
Your only job is to enter into rest…
If you’re sick, if you’re dealing with pressure, He’s not trying to teach you anything. Your only job is to be loved and to enter into rest. And then out of that place of a rested, full-of-rest believer of Jesus, acceptor of everything He did for you, you then speak!
Declarations…
Okay, so we’re going to meditate on that for a minute and then declare the “suddenlies” of the Most High God and His plans in Minnesota.
Because God’s plans, Jesus’ plans, are coming to pass right now and suddenly in Minnesota.
Every weapon that has been formed against Minnesota, against Living Word, in the chapel, in this very hour, we declare it is completely and fully diminished, and it shall not prosper.
And anything the enemy would ever even attempt or think about is being used for God’s plan.
And we come at it from the place of sons and daughters greatly loved. Leaning and relying on the faith of God.
