Samson was anointed…
The Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson. Samsun did great and mighty things. One time, He took the jawbone of a donkey, just one jawbone, and killed thousands of his enemies. (Judges 15:15–16)
Shamgar was anointed…
There’s another man, his name was Shamgar. He used a stick, or something, and killed a lot of enemies.
Judges 3:31, “After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad; and he also delivered Israel.”
King David was anointed…
The Spirit of the Lord came upon King David. When Samuel anointed King David, the Bible says from that day forward, he became a different man.
When the Spirit comes upon a man, he changes…
You know, the Spirit of the Lord came upon different people at different times. When that happened, they changed into different people. The thing they couldn’t do before, guess what? When the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, they were anointed to do it.
Samson! Shamgar! King David! Even Jesus said… And you and I can relate to this. …“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me.” And you and I can both say, He is upon us and in us right now. Jesus said, “He has anointed Me to preach the Good News to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted.”
We are anointed like Jesus…
Like Jesus, we have the anointing to set the captives free. The Spirit of the Lord is upon us because He has anointed us to heal the broken hearted, set the captives free, start a business, make it happen. Or whatever you wanted to do. The anointing! It’s upon us, in us.
You know, He said, “I will send the Holy Spirit.” And He did. On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and you know what the evidence was? It was speaking in tongues. They all started speaking in different languages. We have the Holy Spirit in us, and that’s why we are able to speak in tongues, which is the evidence to bring change to our lives and others around us.
You know, just by praying in tongues, the Lord has given me some ideas about business… to do something, which I won’t tell you. When it happens, I’ll tell you. And it just came, an idea about business. It happened while I was just waiting on the Lord. I just got the idea when praying in the Spirit, praying in tongues.
Jesus said, “Call unto Me and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty thing you don’t know or you need to know.”
Prayed…
Father, I thank you. We are here to pray for Living Word Church people.
You lead us by your Spirit into victories.
You lead us into good health.
You lead us into prosperity.
We are anointed to take the light to the world…
So we’ll be a light outside the church. A light! We are the light here in the chapel, now let’s go out and be a light in the darkness, in the world.
People say, “Oh, it’s getting darker and darker.” It’s because we are not going outside with the Light. We keep hanging out with all the other Lights. We are hanging out in church where all the Light is. We need to take this Light out in the world. There’s no darkness when we hang out where there is only Light. Look at how many Lights there are here!
I thank you that the Spirit of the Lord will come upon individuals to accomplish things that we couldn’t do.
What we wanted to do. Places you wanted to go. You have things to do.

Prayed…
Fear of the Lord and knowledge of God.
And the wisdom of God is the principal thing.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
We understand, Father, that you are God over all. You are overshadowing us with your mighty power.
It is the rhema of the Spirit, and your rhema is what we live by, and we eat it every day.
We stay in your Word night and day so that we may be sharp and have good understanding and know the things that you’re saying. Because they’re timed-released deposits every day.
We are partaking of your Word, the Word of life. And you, Father, bring those words up at just the right time, and we hear you’re speaking to us, the rhema of the Spirit, the Living Word of God, the Word for us in such a season as this.
We need the rhema of the word…
The Word tells us about a lot of things, but it doesn’t say what we’re to do. You know, like DJ was saying, “What are we to do? Open a business? Are we to go on vacation?” And He is speaking to us because He’s with us. God with us, Emmanuel. And we delight to hear and do, and we defer in everything to you.
Lord, you want us to be out there in those places shining bright for You in the kingdom of God, righteousness, peace, and joy.
And I like to say everybody’s looking for peace and joy. So we have it, and we display it, and we let that light shine for you, Lord.
And people will see and come to the table because it tastes so good.
We have a word in season for those who need it…
We do the work of the evangelist, and that is to have a word in season for everyone who’s weary, everyone who’s kicking against the pricks, everyone who’s tired and downcast.
Father, You have given us the word of wisdom that we might speak a word to the weary.
Our focus is on Him…
So great and awesome are your plans, Lord. We’re going to do it this year. We got to shake off all the things that are keeping us from going forward because we have a great and wonderful advocate with the Father.
And we always seek to please you, Lord, but we fall short sometimes. But you are our advocate, and it doesn’t keep us from going forward because you’re cheering us on, and you’re going to bat for us, and you’re keeping our heart because you’re greater than our heart, and you know all things.
So the condemnation goes, and we grow in the knowledge of your goodness and that you’re steering the ship because we give you the wheel and not defer to ourselves or even think so much about ourselves. But our focus is on you and how wonderfully you’re working out our salvation.
He fills your house with His presence…
And, Father, we just say “fill the house with your presence.”
I would like, Father, for you to occupy every room.
As we gather together in one accord as the body of your love, there is no space that is void and no “dark corners,” but the house is all lit up with the glory of your purpose and plans.
It’s all about grace…
I woke up one morning and was feeling like, “I have just done something that’s going to set me back, and, ugh, it’s not good.” And the Lord said, “Any time, Cindy, you get up…” Because if you get knocked down, it matters how you get up.
He said, “If you get up not pointing your finger and not making excuses and not feeling like you’re at a loss, but you get up and you say, ‘God, I messed up, but you’re the God who cleans up messes, and I just thank you, Lord, that you make something out of this.’”
And He said, “If you do that, you receive grace. You humbly acknowledge…” In the Bible, it says, “You will all have to become equal to understanding and calmly receive your own little load of oppressive faults.” But you’re going to have to do that for one reason, and that is, if you don’t acknowledge it, you can’t put it off.
And I just say, thank you, Lord, that we can put it off and then not receive condemnation but receive grace to meet it and to exceed it.
Because He said, “If you get up in that way, I will take you further and higher than had you not made the mistake because you’re learning that it is all about grace.”
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…
I was reading about Jeremiah in Jeremiah chapter 1. The Lord knew Jeremiah, and He formed Jeremiah in his mother’s womb. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” (Jer. 1:5). And the Lord had a purpose for Jeremiah, to be His mouthpiece, to tear down, to uproot, destroy, to build and plant.
Jer. 1:9–10 says…
“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant”
We are gifts to be unwrapped…
When things were not looking good outside, Jeremiah was called by the Spirit of the living God. And the Bible says that he was given… Jeremiah didn’t ask for it. God just gave him. Well, “we” are all given.
WE ARE GIFTS TO BE UNWRAPPED!
