Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
How’s everyone doing? Good to see you guys. Wow, you guys look all bright-eyed and like you had a good night’s rest, I hope. Here we are, Monday again. So I’ll be with you guys today and Wednesday, and I think maybe tomorrow as well.
Pastor Ken shared…
Let me share something with you. I’m always on alert as to what is going on throughout the body of Christ, wherever God is active, and certainly there are some encouraging signs. I think I may have brought this up at one point, but I wanted to read a little short blurb about revival in Sweden.
Revival news from Scandinavia…
Scandinavia historically has been one of the most secular places around the world with, like, 2 to 3% maybe professing to be evangelical Christians.
This article says…
“A spiritual awakening is stirring among young people in secular Sweden. For decades, Sweden has been known as one of the most secular societies, but signs are emerging that a growing number of young Swedes are becoming curious about Jesus, the Bible, and Christian faith.
“CBN News recently highlighted what church leaders there are describing a renewed spiritual hunger among Sweden’s youth. The report points to packed Christian gatherings, baptisms, growing confirmation classes, and young people openly carrying their Bibles and talking about Jesus.
“One striking example came from Sweden’s youth trend research. In late 2024, Swedish public broadcaster SVT reported that Jesus was being predicted as a ‘major influencer’ among young people in 2025, based on survey data from more than 17,000 Swedes ages 15 to 24.
“The same reporting noted growing interest in religion among younger generations. CBN also reported that the Jesus Conference in Sweden grew more than 3,000 attendees by its third year, while Christian leaders say some confirmation programs fill almost immediately after registration opens.”
So I’ll stop there, but it’s just been increasing markedly in Sweden and in other as well. Amen? Make no mistake about it, God is about His business on planet earth in these days.
Jonathan Shuttlesworth shared what’s happening in Pittsburgh…
I might share something here that I read out of Patsy Cameneti’s book, “For Such a Time as This: Praying in the Last Days.” And she writes in this one particular chapter about preparing the way. I’ll just kind of start with this.
But one thing that I’m encouraged about is the effectiveness of intentional prayer, intercession. I was at a revival meeting last week where Jonathan Shuttlesworth hosted some meetings here in the Twin Cities, and he commented on how they’ve been in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, been speaking over the drug issues, especially with fentanyl deaths and emergency room visits and whatnot, and how they have been speaking over those for some time because sometimes prayer is just making that faith decree. Like, “Hey, devil, you’re not going to have our city. You’re not going to take any more of our youth or young people through fentanyl overdoses.”
Fentanyl deaths are down in Pittsburgh…
And I don’t remember the exact figures, but in the last year, it’s down by a huge amount, the number of people that have died or ended up in the emergency ward due to fentanyl overdoses. They have seemingly stemmed the tide of fentanyl into their city all because of prayer and the work that they’re doing in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
We’re here on a mission…
So make no mistake about it, we’re not here just passing time as individuals, every one of us. We’re here on assignment, once again. I like to say we’re here on mission. And that mission begins with prayer. That mission begins by letting the Holy Spirit have access to our hearts by…
Choosing to uncomplicate our lives
Choosing to simplify our lives
Choosing to slow down at times so that we can pick up on what the Spirit of God is saying.
Jesus said you can have what you say…
So that we can be a sounding board for the Spirit of God to articulate in prayer, to make faith decrees, to say what needs to be said in this realm. Jesus Himself said in Gospel of Mark that you would have what you say. That you can remove mountains by what you say. Well, that’s a reference to prayer, a “saying” form of prayer. So don’t underestimate the power of you…
Speaking to a situation today
Speaking to atmospheres today
Speaking to a seemingly immovable object that’s in your way.
Know your standing with God…
It has to obey if you know your standing, and your standing is with God. Yours and my standing is in the seat of authority, at the right hand of the throne of God. At least that’s what the Apostle Paul implied when he wrote to the church at Ephesus, that when Christ was raised, we were raised, at least from a spiritual standpoint, with him. And therefore, seated with Him in the heavenly realm at the right hand of the throne of God.
The right hand of the throne of God represents authority…
What does the right hand of the throne of God represent? It represents authority. Make no mistake about it, Jesus not only enabled you to avoid hell and gain an eternity in heaven, He also released to the Church, released to you and me, a great authority, right? The right to rule and reign within a given realm. That realm is our lives, our cities, our nation.
So be sure to use your authority. Be sure to bind. Be sure to loose. Be sure to make that faith decree. I have no doubts that the Spirit of God is hovering over yours and my soul today, and…
He’s wanting to say some things.
He’s wanting to pray some things.
He’s wanting to move some things out of the way.
So that we can read more about other nations like Sweden that are seeing an explosion of young people and people in all generations responding to the call to revival, the call to be awakened.
Quote from Patsy Cameneti’s book, “For Such a Time as This”
But Patsy writes in this book, I mention again, it’s entitled “For Such a Time as This: Praying in the Last Days.”
Patsy writes…
“Just as highway building takes time to complete in the natural, spiritual roads take time too. Road-construction crews do as much as they can on any given day. The next day, they pick up where they left off.”
We do road construction here at Morning Prayer…
That’s somewhat what we do here, right? We pray as far as we can each day, and then we pick up tomorrow until we get the job done. Don’t be discouraged. I challenge you, don’t let your heart sink in hopelessness or because you haven’t seen something come about yet, doesn’t mean that God has said no. A delay is not a denial, as I like to say. It’s just a reminder we’re going to go again tomorrow. We’re going to pray again tomorrow. We’re going to stand in faith again tomorrow. Amen? Good things are on the way for you, for the church. Revival was God’s original intent for this hour, and it still is today. So make no mistake about it, we’re going to see revival.
Patsy goes on to say…
“And they keep at it from one day to the next until the road is finished and ready to use. There is a ministry in prayer which is comparable to the road building, where diligence and persistence are required if the road is to be finished.
“When we lived in Rome, the highways we traveled were built by the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire was the first to ever build highways. They knew the shortest distance between two points, and it’s in a straight line, and they set about very purposefully to build these highways.”
How many of you know God has some highways, some thoroughfares He wants to build. And He knows the shortest point, or the shortest distance I should say, on how to get the job done. That’s why we yield to our prayer coach, the Holy Spirit.
She continued…
“In order to mobilize troops to the region they wanted to conquer, they would first build a road accessing that place. It took a lot of time and energy to make a highway, but in the long run, it facilitated their plans.”
Of course, the Romans, their plans were conquest of the known world at the time.
“They also used those roads for communication and commerce. The same principle is used in prayer. When Jesus wants to manifest His glory in a place for all to see,” like Minnesota, these United States of America, Australia, our friends in the UK… I know it seems pretty difficult and challenging in the UK, so much so that I guess President Trump withdrew the B-2 bombers from there because he’s concerned that they’re not safe in the UK anymore. And there is a lot of craziness and chaos going on in the UK, but if that’s something on your heart, lift up the United Kingdom. We believe the United Kingdom will be saved. All the original people and all the the migrants and those who have moved there over the years.
She continued…
“When Jesus wants to manifest His glory in a place for all to see, He needs a highway. Our voices lifted in faith are used not only as an avenue to receive blessings for our own selves, but also to clear a way for the glory of Jesus to be revealed and ultimately for Him to come again.
“You may ask, how do we know when the road is finished? Well, it’s when the glory of the Lord is revealed in a particular destination, and all the people there are able to see it.”
For you, that might be till your whole family professes Jesus and they clearly see that He so loved them that He gave Jesus.
She goes on to say this…
“God is the master planner. Before He manifests His presence in a place, He stirs a need in people’s hearts to begin building a road to that place in prayer.”
Pastor Lynne has often said…
That she’s perceived that it takes sometimes two years. She’s praying out ahead of things in her life two years in advance. She’s building a road. She’s making a way for something to transpire in her calling, in her ministry, in her life two years into the future. That’s probably true to some degree for every one of us. God is always out ahead of His plan. He knows what He wants to do. He knows the end of your journey better than you know your past.
But the Holy Spirit’s inside of us. He’s active. He’s moving. The Bible says in the book of John, He’s there to reveal, to transmit, to disclose… What? The will of God. Well, how does He do that? He doesn’t necessarily show up, pull up in a golf cart or a side by side and open up a book and tell you all about it. But He does roll up and pull up in your heart on every given day as the revealer, the one who comes to reveal, transmit, and disclose, and He does prompt you to pray.
Oh, come on. That’s good, right?
The Apostle Paul says…
“He who prays in an unknown tongue should pray that he interprets.” I have found that as you pray even 5 minutes a day, 10 minutes a day, give yourself to praying in the Spirit or under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit anyway, things will begin to clear up for you. You’ll begin to see. You’ll begin to gain interpretation and understanding about what you’re praying about. Not everything, some things He’s not going to show you, but things concerning you, concerning your next steps, concerning what you’re praying about, He’ll pull back the veil and begin to show you what you need to know. He’ll begin to impart things to you. As He can trust you, He’ll show you more and more.
So Patsy goes on to say this…
“Before He manifests His presence, He stirs a need in the hearts of people to begin building a road to the place in prayer. He does that by planting a desire in our hearts; His desire for His glory to be revealed to the people in a particular place.”
In the early first chapter, she talks about how the First Coming of Jesus and the Second Coming of Jesus are there. You see it in the scriptures. And during the First Coming of Jesus, He stirred a desire in certain people like Anna and Simeon to pray to prepare the way for His First Coming. And that we now live in these end of days where we can see the Second Coming before us. We can discern that it’s not too far in the future based on events that are transpiring and being reported in the news every day.
And so with that said, that should cause us to be an awakened people to not just live accidentally or live out of memory or live leaving things to chance, but we should live purposefully, the Bible says, worthily, intentionally, in other words.
Why?
Because we can see our day of salvation, the return of the Lord drawing near, and that we’ve been assigned to this hour to build a road to the Second Coming of Jesus.
