Pastor Ray shared…

This morning before I got out of bed, I had this on me, to believe Him for revelation concerning some things that maybe I hadn’t seen. I saw these three things as I read through the Word. Matthew 17:1, “Jesus took Peter and the brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain. His appearance changed from the inside out.” It’s hard to even understand that. It changed him from inside to the outside. Then they, Peter, James, and John “realized that Moses and Elijah were also there in deep conversation with him.” What a happening! What a scene! “Peter broke in, “Master, this is a great moment! What would you think if I built three memorials here on the mountain—one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah?” Yikes! In the middle of this visual, Jesus talking to Moses and Elijah, Peter breaks in? This is the way the Message says is. “While he was going on like this, babbling, a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and sounding from deep in the cloud a voice: “This is my Son, marked by my love, focus of my delight. Listen to him.” When the disciples heard it, they fell flat on their faces, scared to death. But Jesus came over and touched them. “Don’t be afraid.” When they opened their eyes and looked around all they saw was Jesus, only Jesus.”

For me, that stood out that we stop focusing on other things that would take us away from seeing Him, His way, His Word, His plans, His purpose. Stop in some things that rattle our bones. Things that move in our minds and create thoughts of opposition to what the Word has said and focus more clearly on Jesus only, Jesus. That’s what I took from that.

Then further down when they got to the bottom of the mountain, Jesus had already told them not to tell anybody. “At the bottom of the mountain, they were met by a crowd of waiting people. As they approached, a man came out of the crowd and fell to his knees begging, “Master, have mercy on my son. He goes out of his mind and suffers terribly, falling into seizures. Frequently he is pitched into the fire, other times into the river. I brought him to your disciples, but they could do nothing for him.” Jesus said, “What a generation!”

We could say that about our generation today.

This is how it says it in the Message Bible. “No sense of God!” In other words, His manifested presence. No sense of that. No recognition of it. What a generation! “No focus to your lives!” Then He started talking to them, “How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring the boy here.” He ordered the afflicting demon out—and it was out, gone. From that moment on, the boy was well. When the disciples had Jesus off to themselves, they asked, “Why couldn’t we throw it out?” This is what He said. “Because you’re not yet taking God seriously,” said Jesus.” They were living with Him. Yet not taking His Word. Not taking God seriously. “The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle.”

If we believe.

So we get our focus on Jesus and Jesus alone. And we focus on and declare everything that we see in the written Word is true. And we take that Word seriously. In these days, people make fun of the Word. People make fun of those that believe in the Word and want to turn it a certain way so they can do that they want with it. The problem here was they didn’t take Him seriously. They could not help that little boy. But what did Jesus do? “Get out! Leave! Be gone!” What was the result? The devil was gone. The influence was gone. We can say the sickness was gone. And healing was manifested.

Then the third thing in this chapter down at the bottom. They were together hanging out and a tax collector came along and questioned Him about some things. I love this. “We don’t upset them needlessly,” He’s telling this to one of the disciples. I believe it was Simon. “Go down to the lake, cast a hook, and pull in the first fish that bites. Open its mouth and you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to the tax men. It will be enough for both of us.” More than enough for one. Enough for both of them.

So do you think there was any doubt in the disciple when he was on the way to catch the fish, that there would be a coin in it? I believe by faith he just started walking. He started taking steps. This morning then, for absolute positively sure, let’s believe God for money or increase, “the more than enough” to come from directions that are unheard of. We didn’t know about it. We hadn’t seen it yet. But money, or resources, or finances… we call it all forth and believe it’s coming forth. And like we’ve done in the past, we just say, “Money, you’re coming.” When? Now! Right now! We’re not commanding God to do something. We’re commanding money to do something. We’re commanding money to come!

We loose ministering spirits and tell you to go and bring it in… increase… ♪ Jesus, be Jesus in us… we look to You…we keep our eyes on You… we take You seriously… we respect You… ♪
