Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Heather…
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to morning prayer. My name is Heather Sabinski. I’m one of the pastors here at Living Word.
Worship…
We welcome in the King of glory.
We welcome you into our hearts.
We welcome you into Living Word.
We welcome you into Minneapolis.
We welcome you into Minnesota.
Who is this King of glory? He’s the Lord high and lifted up.
He’s not fretful. He’s not worried.
He’s high and lifted up. He’s all powerful, all knowing, all present.
The King of glory. Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Raining, raining, raining, raining, raining over all.
Word came forth…
So, what’s your problem today?
What’s your need today?
What thing do you need Him to do today?
For the King of glory is here. He is here.
And He has more than enough to fill every need.
All powerful, all knowing, all seeing God.
Will I not take care of you, My little child? Will I not take care of you? Do I not know the number of the hairs on your head? Do I not know every shadow of your turning? Every thought? Oh, but My thoughts for you outnumber the sands on the seashore.
So what are you worried about? What are you worried about? Nothing too impossible for Me.
Trust, trust, trust, trust that I have the answers. Trust that I have you. Trust that I’m holding you.
Trust that I see and I know and I care.
I care. I care for I’m a good Father. And I don’t love how the world loves. I never leave. I never forsake. You are never alone. If you knew the power that I’ve placed in you already to change that circumstance, to change that atmosphere, to change that situation. So be alert now. Be alert for the time is short.
Worshipful response…
What would you have us say? What would you have us do, Lord?
We just reverence you, Father. We reverence you, reverence your presence.
Oh, how we love you, how we need you.
Pastor Heather shared…
I think it was Leif when he was here that said this statement… And it wrecked me a little bit, if I’m honest. He said, “If Jesus came up to you and said, ‘Hey, can I use your body today?’ You said, ‘Yes.’ How much would your life change? How much would your day be different?”
And I had thought about that. Like it shouldn’t be different. Right? We should already be living for Him every day. We should already be doing all those things. But when I thought about it, if He literally came up to me and was like, “Hey, Heather, can I use your body today?” I’d be like, “Wow, my day would be really, really different.” And I think that’s how we should think every day, right? We should feel like that every day. Like He literally is saying, “Hey, can I use your body today? I need to get some things done today.” Yes sir, you may.
And just let that sink in, that thought of how much your day would change if you literally were like allowing Jesus to use you throughout the day. And I like to think of myself as somebody who listens and does what the Lord says. But I know not every second of every day that I’m doing the most that I could for Him, right? Because we live in a world that’s very busy, distracted. I can get consumed with my own day, my own things. We’re human. And just receive that today. Not in a shameful way. That’s not meant to shame anybody or make anybody feel bad, but just something to meditate on, to think about.
Prayed…
“What are some ways that I can be sensitive to that, Father, that you can show me that there’s ways that I can die even more unto you, unto your plan. I can take up my cross even more. I can see the world with your eyes instead of my eyes. I can see your need before my need. Others’ needs before my need. Help us to be sensitive, Lord, and remind us in a world where we’re really very blessed in this country. I don’t have to worry about my safety so much or if the electricity will be on when I get home, or if I have water. We have so very much to be thankful for. But in that too, Father, let us not become complacent or self-absorbed or just caught up in our own little world, our own little thing, or lethargic or apathetic.
How much would our day change if you came up to us and said, “Can I use your body today?” And you ask us that every day? You do. You want us to be your hands and feet.
So thank you, Father, you equip us. Holy Spirit, equip us, resensitize our hearts, our senses to hear, to see the way that you hear and see. Because we know the time is short. And so we thank you for an Awakening.
Let it start with us, Father, an Awakening in our hearts, an Awakening in our eyes.
As we go about our day that we see that person at the grocery store, that we see that person that is on the other side of an email or a phone call or whatever that looks like, Father.
An awakening in our lives, in our days, in our actions, in our hearts, in our senses.
That we be awake, that we be alert to the supernatural realm and not so consumed with the natural realm that we live in.
Help us, Father, to be aware of the supernatural.
Remind us that we are in this world, but we are not of this world.
And we are spirit beings. In a natural world like aliens, our homeland is heaven.
And you placed us here for a reason, for a time, for a place as ambassadors, representatives of heaven.
So remind us, Father, when we start to become assimilated to this world, that we are not of this world.
We are spiritual beings walking in a natural world.
But we’ve been equipped to change circumstances, to change atmospheres, situations with the power of the Word.
So, what world are you creating? What world are you creating with your words?
For it shall be as you say. Everything that was created was created with a word.
Speak. Speak, speak. Speaking in the situations, not just watching, not just worrying.
Subject to change, that situation that you’re worrying about is subject to change.
So speak, speak, speak on earth as it is in heaven.
There’s a lot of things on earth that are not as they are in heaven.
So now speaking, praying, declaring on earth as it is in heaven.
Prayer leader Barb…
When we let the Lord use us, He makes things better for us. He makes things easier for us. Something that would take you three hours to do when you have yielded to the Lord to do something for Him, He knocks it out like that. When you have to go and buy something, you don’t have to go to 10 stores because He’ll get it for you at the first try.
So I just heard this song… “He makes it better.” ♫ He makes it better. He makes it easier for you. He makes things better. ♫
But He does! He makes it better. He makes it easier. He makes our lives to flow when we sow our time to Him. When He asks us to do something and we yield. He’s like, “I’ll make your day so easy today. I appreciate you and I’m going to make your day easy. I’m going to make things flow for you today because you did what I needed you to do.”
Prayed…
So we just thank you, Holy Spirit, that you do make things better. Ooh, all the time! All the time. You make our steps to be in sure places that we don’t misstep. Glory to God, that our steps are easy because you’ve laid them out for us. And as long as we yield to you, we can experience the greatness, the glory, and the peace that comes from Him.
Exhortation…
We don’t have to strive to accomplish things. But there’s a yielding to the Holy Spirit when His anointing just comes upon you to do that task, to get that project done. He’ll cancel meetings for you that you don’t have to go to anymore. They’re just removed from your schedule. And you’ve got all that time to do what you need to do, to do what you want to do.
Prayed…
You make things better. You make things easier. You make them easier because you’re so good.
God pours out His mercy and grace upon us daily.
We come to Him in the morning and we say, “Woo, grace and mercy, Lord, we come to the throne of grace to receive for the day that grace and mercy that you cover our mistakes. You turn our mistakes into something good that brings glory to your name.”
Exhortation…
And if you’re feeling down today, He’s there to fill you with His joy, to let that joy come up on the inside. So that you would have that capacity and that tenacity to do the things He’s called you to do. You got to have that joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and His strength is what causes you to overcome.
Prayed…
Thank you, Father, that your burden is easy and your yolk is light. So if we’re feeling heavy or burdened, we’re carrying a burden that doesn’t belong to us. So we thank you, Father, for this time today for the reminder of how big you are, how good you are, how we’re never alone, and how you take our burdens and our cares and you make it better, you make it easier, you make it lighter.
Father, we give you all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise in Jesus’ name. Amen.
