Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Hello everyone. Happy Monday. Good to have you with us. My name is Ken.
Jeremiah 6:16…
I want to read to you a passage found in Jeremiah 6:16 (AMPC) that says, “Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
There is a path we’re to be on right now in prayer…
I’ve been reflecting on that lately because I believe that that’s exactly what God is saying to us now. That there is a place, a path, a mark that we’re to be at right now in prayer and in our day-to-day lives. In fact, last night I jotted down some thoughts as I was praying and meditating.
- The Lord needs us to be at, or on, our marks in our spiritual lives.
- To be humble, surrendered, and available to Him.
- A people who are easily influenced by the Holy Spirit and responds to His direction with urgency and boldness.
- The hour is late, there’s no time to hesitate.
- We must seek to carry out the Father’s plans to pray into this prophetic moment and make a way where we don’t see one.
- To invite His realm to invade ours.
That’s what prayer is all about. It’s about making a way where we don’t see one. It’s about being so fixated and so dialed into the spirit realm, into God’s realm, that we manifest that realm in our realm. And that is done through prayer, through faith decrees, through us living and moving and having our being in Him. Him being our priority and our focus and what our lives are all about.
We are called and equipped to pray for our nation…
I was also thinking about how we are created. We were, and are, created equipped and called to pray for our nation to turn back to God, for the church to be prepared for the final chapter of what God’s plan before Jesus’s return.
The definition of intercession…
I was reminded of the definition of intercession, which there are many of them. But the one I like right now is “It’s to go between” or to be a mediator between God and a situation, between God and others who are far from Him. Intercession involves two things.
Number one…
It involves a reconciling, being a bridge to unite individuals with God and His blessings. That could be your family members, that could be somebody you only know by face because you see that person in your heart, or a nation, or whatever the case might be. So it involves reconciling.
Number two…
It involves a separating, a breaking, or a disuniting from Satan’s influence. This is what Jesus did for us through His redemptive work. You want to see a picture of intercession? Look at Jesus! He interceded on our behalf. He had compassion toward us. He loved us with a great love. And, therefore, laid down His life and went the distance so that we could receive and be united once again to the blessings God intended us to walk in all along.
Quote from Nancy Dufresne’s book, “A Supernatural Prayer Life”
And then one other thing I wanted to share with you guys is found in Nancy Dufresne’s book (which I highly recommend) entitled “A Supernatural Prayer Life.” So if somebody can post that in the chat online this morning.
In chapter two, Pastor Nancy writes…
“The heart of a man or a woman, saved or unsaved, is hungry for the supernatural. God created man in His image and God is supernatural. Therefore, man longs for the supernatural.”
Does anybody long for the supernatural? I know I do. I believe God has put that in our hearts as the church in this hour to long and to contend for the supernatural-ness of almighty God in all its display, in all its ways. Not just healings and deliverances, but in every regard. We want to see God invade our generation. We want to see God invade our households, and our families, our churches, our neighborhoods. Our lives in a deeper, more meaningful, more profound and eternal way. And that’s why we come to Him, because we realize we can’t do it on our own. I realize I can’t do this on my own. I need Him.
We’re to identify with Moses who once said long ago, “Lord, don’t take me up from this place unless your presence goes with me.” In other words, there was a fervency, there was a demand on the inside of him that required God to go with him. Required God at every turn in his life and in every assignment in his leadership calling to bring about deliverance to the people of God at that time.
“Lord, I can’t do this apart from you” should be the cry of our hearts…
And so for us, that ought to be what leads the way, the tip of the spear in our lives, whether we’re in the marketplace or in the ministry, whether we’re a mom or a dad or a grandparent, or whatever station or assignment we’re at in life, there must be something rising up in us today and every day that says, “Lord, I can’t do this apart from you.”
I mean, if Jesus said that, how much more should we say, “Lord, I can’t do this apart from you. I must have you. I must have an experience or an encounter of your presence equal to and greater than my circumstances, equal to and greater than my calling.”
We must step now into divine flow…
Heaven is just flowing, not just to us for a particular need, but we’re experiencing heaven flowing through us, where we’re stepping into overflow. Where the Spirit of God is overflowing in us and through us, in our decision making, in our praying, in our conversations, in all that we do on a day-to-day basis. God desires to invade earth now.
That’s on His heart.
That’s on His mind.
That’s what’s going to produce revival.
That’s what’s going to bring awakening.
That’s what’s going to get the job done so that He can return and catch us up to ever be with Him.
She goes on to say…
“Man longs to see what this realm doesn’t show. But as those who are born again, we have a free invitation to live in the realm that every man longs for, the supernatural realm. The Word calls it the unseen realm, the spirit realm. It is the realm of the supernatural. Jesus came from the unseen realm and showed man that there was another realm.”
There’s another realm…
So now you know. There’s another realm. This is not it. What you see, what you feel, taste and touch is not it. In fact, this is very temporary. We call it the temporal realm. Meaning it’s subject to change. It is passing away. And the one that will go on and on forever is the one that is unseen right now. And according to the writings of Paul, everything that is seen was created by what is unseen. So how many of you would agree it would be really important for us to dial into that unseen realm?
Colossians 3:2 says…
“Set your minds on things above in the heavenly realm, in the supernatural realm, not on things on this earth.”
She goes on to say…
“Jesus came from the unseen realm and showed man that there was another realm, a higher realm than the seen realm that’s visible to all. Jesus walked into the seen realm among men, but He manifested the unseen realm that hungry men long for.”
Pastor Ken’s notes…
And I put in my own notes here: “Prayer brings the promises of the unseen into the seen reality of our lives.” It’s your ability to connect with the possibilities, with God’s promises, with what could be and really should be. And as you pray and you seek Him, you’re connecting with what God intends in His divine providence, including every one of His great and precious promises. And as long as you continue to walk with Him in that divine fellowship and connection, you are becoming a channel for what is in heaven to invade earth.
She goes on to say…
“The unseen realm is the realm that our Father lives in. It’s the realm that is greater than this realm. It’s the realm that dominates and governs this realm. It’s the realm of the highest authority. We are children of the unseen realm. God instructs us to according to Second Corinthians 4:18, ‘look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ To live according to this seen realm and to focus only on the realm we see is to live disappointed and dissatisfied. This seen realm doesn’t author the things that satisfy the heart of a hungry man or woman. To live with our eyes riveted to this realm is to be cheated of what it means to really live.”
So, to really live means to be focused on Him and on His realm. Now, catch this…
“Every life will manifest the realm they are occupied with. They will manifest the realm they are focused on.”
Isn’t that interesting?
“Those of us who are born again are children of the unseen realm. We are children of God’s realm, children of the throne, children of God’s kingdom, and His kingdom is not of this world. The unseen realm is the realm of our Father. Jesus showed us what God’s realm, the supernatural realm, has for the seen world. By the power of God, Jesus worked miracles, healings, and demonstrations of power that weren’t authored in this natural realm. They were manifestations of the unseen realm—God’s realm. Sickness, disease, heartbreak and defeat are part of this world. Jesus was an intrusion.”
We are to be intruders, disruptors!
I don’t know about you, but I want to be an intrusion. I want to be a disruptor. Come on! You do too! We’re here to disrupt. We’re to intrude in a good and godly God-ordained way because the way things are going aren’t right. Things are going south. We live perpetually at least in the fallen realm and circumstances and a perpetual law of entropy where everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Everything that is steel will rust. If it’s wood, it will rot. Everything is decaying in many ways because of the curse that’s in the earth. But aren’t you glad that the touch of God and the presence of God changes everything?
Jesus was an intrusion into the seen realm…
God blesses His people so that our youth can be renewed like the eagles. Jesus was an intrusion into the seen realm. With His entrance, He manifested God’s realm of healing, health, supply, peace, victory, and all else that belongs in the realm of God. All difficulties and failures are of the seen realm, but all answers, successes, and victories are of God’s realm.” So the more you live at your spiritual address, in other words, the more you will experience what that address, that realm, that place with God has to offer.
It has answers to offer.
It has healings to offer.
It has strength to offer.
It has divine turnarounds to provide for you today.
Breakthroughs, deliverances, steps forward in the divine plan of God as authored in the book of destiny He has for each of us, according to Psalm 139.
Jesus is going to wrap this age with victory and triumph!
Oh, I don’t know about you, but I am enthusiastic today. I am stirred in my soul today because I know in whom I have called upon and in whom I serve. And He is eternally good, right? He’s faithful. He is just. He is, as the Bible says, fire from the loins up and fire from the loins down. He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And He is still preaching as He did long ago, along the shores of Galilee. Only now it’s on the shores of some lake in the heavenly realm preaching with no uncertain terms about it, that He is going to wrap up this age with victory and triumph and an earthly invasion. Heaven coming down into your life and into my life. All that is required is for His people to turn their attention toward Him and grab hold of His promises, grab hold of His prophetic intention in other. In other words, what has been prophesied long ago as recorded in scripture. But in this present day also, and even to your heart, what He whispers to you. In the ear of your spirit, He’s whispering to you—Victory! He’s whispering to you and me the way it ought to be, the turnaround that is now precipitating if we’ll simply agree with Him. And not grow weary.
