Prayer Summary for September 16

The following excerpt was taken from Grace vs. Judgment by Keith Butler:

2 Corinthians 12:7–8
lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

Your enemy is not flesh and blood. Your mother-in-law is not your enemy. Your father-in-law is not your enemy. There is a demon behind these folks, and this demon is using them against you. There is no sense in treating the symptom—go right to the source! Stop getting mad at the symptom and get angry at the source. Recognize that Satan is the source of your problem, and decide to deal with him instead of dealing with people. Walk in love with them and use your authority against Satan.

When Paul prayed, notice that the Lord did not answer him the first time. No doubt Satan whispered, “You’re doing work for God; you have suffered all these things, and now God won’t even answer you. Where is your God?”

Paul asked a second time, and God still did not answer him. Some of you say, “I have been seeking the Lord for a while now, and I can’t seem to get an answer.” God isn’t in a hurry. You are the one in a hurry. He is not bound by time, He understands that if you do what you are supposed to do, everything will work out.

But Paul was still growing up. Paul was still learning. He was a human like us. So he asked the Lord a third time and finally the Lord answered him and said “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness: (v. 9a).

God told Paul, “My power, My anointing, and My miraculous ability is enough for you! My supernatural power is made complete in your inability.” In other words, God said, “Son, I know you can’t deal with that demon spirit. You couldn’t beat a baby demon with one hand tied behind its back. But you don’t have to take him down. Your Big Brother has already done that!” These are shouting words! Jesus has already defeated Satan!

Paul got it! The light came on. He received the revelation! Most gladly therefore will I rather glory [brag] in my infirmities [my weakness, my inabilities, my failure to get their job done by myself], that the [supernatural] power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I, take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (vv. 9–10, emphasis mine).

Notice Paul’s attitude change: Therefore I take pleasure. Instead of saying, “Lord, why are You letting this happen to me,” he is now saying, “I get it! I take pleasure:

1. In infirmities, a word meaning weaknesses and inabilities.
2. In reproaches, when other people talk badly about him, causing him to become an individual whom people scorn.
3. In necessities, a word that means dealing with lack or need, including financial problems.
4. In persecution, which is pressure brought upon a person by Satan, who uses other people to bring it.
5. In distresses, a word meaning calamity

Again, do all of these things mean that Paul is out of favor with God? No! At least Paul sought the Lord for advice, instead of his friends. Stop talking to folks and start talking to God. Stop asking people for their opinion; consult the Holy Ghost. One word from God can change your attitude. One word from God can change your life forever. One word from God can change your life and release the power of God in your life.

Say, “I am taking pleasure in my weaknesses and inabilities. I take pleasure in people talking about me. I take pleasure in the fact that I have no money today. I take pleasure with these folks messing with me. “The anointing was over Paul: for when I am weak, then am I strong. You need to keep your attitude, get back in faith, seek God for the Word to announce, decide to believe it and receive it, and count it all joy!

Pastor Ray shared…

That may seem like a weird confession but not really. Hallelujah, I am taking pleasure in this. I don’t have to work it out. I can’t work it out anyway. Like he said, we couldn’t beat up the Devil if he had his hands tied behind his back even a mini Devil but He did it. Isn’t that right?

We need to keep our attitude right against people that the Devil is using to mess with us. We get back in faith, we seek God for the Word to announce, decide to believe it, receive it, and count it all joy. In other words, we give in. We don’t give up and quit. We give in and accept what He already did for us. So we are not asking the Lord, “Why in the world is this happening to me?” The last thing He said was to get My Word on it. If it lines up with the Word, we receive it and act on it. Amen.

In our prayers, we have infirmities where we don’t know how to pray. We move out from our thoughts, words, and actions and move on over into Him, into His presence. He said to seek Him and we would find Him. In unity, lifting Him up and He is there. We are anointed and always will be anointed. We are anointed and that anointing will not be taken from us. It’s true.

The anointing is resident in each and every one of us. Not so that we would settle back and feel good but that we could break the yokes and bondages of lack. Every one of us has a word to speak whether in or out of season. It doesn’t matter. When the demand is placed upon us, we will declare victory there in Jesus’ name under the anointing and break those bondages, lacks and hindrances that are trying to hold people back. Whose responsible for that? The enemy!

So we can declare this morning we love humanity especially those who are in the body. It doesn’t matter if they are swimming in another river but it matters to walk in love and take our authority over the enemy and walk in love even with those who are speaking or operating against us.

It’s time to shake some things off. It’s time to shake out of some situations that have tried to hold you down. It’s time to shake it off, move in the Spirit, call for the anointing that is resident in each one of you and see the change take place that will bring freedom not just for you but for each and every one around you—your family, your job, your church, your pastors, your call, your future! Oooohhhh! Shake free! Shake it off! Shake out of it!

Even the boundaries… some things have tried to box you in or shut you down… but no! Shake out of it and be free. In your own strength? No! In My strength, grace, power, anointing, the blood of My Son.

Many need to be shaken free – we pray in the Spirit for those in Jesus’ name
Free from the hindrances, chains and boundaries – Free! Free! Free!
Calling those in from the north, south, east and west
Into the kingdom today, for such a time as this
We shake you into the kingdom today
“All you that are suffering, come to Me” saith the Lord of Hosts!
Lift up the names of Your loved ones who are not yet in the kingdom– they are coming in today!
This is the appointed time – right now!
They will be uncomfortable in their seats! We break the power of sin over them today!
The fire comes upon you now!
Ablaze for this generation!

Pastor Folu laid hands on everyone to receive the fire of God

Continued praying…
