I saw this, this morning about our Helper. We’re all familiar with Romans 8:26, 27. It begins in verse 24, “For in [this] hope we were saved. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For how can one hope for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure. 26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. 27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.” (Amp.)

The first portion of this scripture doesn’t necessarily say we won’t know “what” to pray for, but it says sometimes we don’t know “how” to pray for it. We know we’re supposed to pray for our nation, our government, our President, all our leaders. We know that. But we don’t always know how to pray for it. It seems so big. When I read that scripture this morning, I thought sometimes we wait for the Holy Spirit to do something. Take for example, we’re in the chapel praying just waiting on the Holy Spirit to do something. But He is waiting on us to do something. Sometimes we wait for Him to “overpower” us and use us. But from this scripture, we know He, the Helper, is there and we can ask Him to help us.

It would be like if you are moving, so you hire two men and a truck. You get them to your house and they’re standing there ready to move you cuz they’re your helpers. But what if you don’t ever ask for their help? “Okay, start in the living room and take all this to the truck.” It’s similar to the Holy Spirit. He is our helper. He will help us. But we have to be open to that help. Yield to it. Believe for it. Expect it.

Erika will go through the confession for our nation. Sometimes I think the people on GPAN are thinking, “Is this a broken record? Every day, we see that same confession.” But… we’re called to do it. We have a call to declare these things over our nation.

Erika shared…

Thank God He didn’t leave us as orphans. He said He would send another just like Himself, not somebody just a little bit different than Him, but He would send another who reveals, unveils, discloses and transmits the things of the Father to us. He would lead us and guide us into all truth. He is the teacher. He, the Holy Spirit, on the inside of us.

Prayed for President and the Nation…

Father, in the name of Jesus and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them, and let them not depart from Your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by Your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our congress, our supreme court, our military leaders, and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority You have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival, and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor Lynne shared…

I’ve been thinking about the four ways we hear from the Lord in the Bible. With the Holy Spirit living inside us, we hear Him in our walk with Jesus every day. We hear Him in our prayer assignments. We have to know the next step in our prayer assignment. The four ways we hear Him are: 1) We hear Him with our ears. 2) We see with our eyes, with vision. 3) Or sometimes, you sense an atmosphere or you “feel.” We normally don’t like to use the word “feel” so much, but by feel, I mean you sense a certain atmosphere and you know that it’s God. 4) And we know. My husband, Pastor Mac, is a know-er. He just knows things. We don’t know how he knows, he just knows. He’ll go, “I know we need to do this and this and this.”

What I found in the Bible, different people had more acuteness in one of those areas than they did others. For instance, Daniel wasn’t so astute in the hearing part or the feeling part or the knowing part, but he “saw.” He was a seer. And because he used his faith for that, he saw that gift in himself and he used his faith that God would do it more.

One of the things I saw is that some people have more ability in one of those ways to hear God than other people. Like, for instance, people tell me that I’m the “feeler” that I can sense atmosphere and I can interpret. I interpret what the Spirit is doing by the atmosphere. I have those other things, but they’re not as astute as that one.

Yesterday, we were talking about how this information can help in corporate prayer. If you are in a corporate prayer group and you know what the gifts are in everybody in the group, how can that help you? Well, if you know this person has acute hearing and you need to hear at that moment, you would call on that person because they are gifted there. Do you see what I’m saying?

Here is Patsy Cameneti. We’ve been hanging out for a couple of days. We were talking about this yesterday and so Pastor Ray asked if we would share it.

Jesus said in Matthew 16 something real critical as far as the construction of the Church is concerned. He said, “I’ll build My church and the gates of hell won’t prevail against it.” What He said had to do with what He asked Peter beforehand. He said, “Who do people say I am?” Peter said, “Some say that you’re Moses and Elijah, one of the prophets.” He said, “Who do you say I am?” He said, “You’re the Christ, the son of the living God.” Then He said, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you. But My father that’s in heaven.” So one of the great ongoing revelations to us is who He is. I was just thinking about that this morning when we were worshiping. Don’t we love who He is? Don’t we yearn for who He is? And to know Him more?

He said that we’re blessed when we know Him by revelation. But then He went on to say, “And you’re Peter and on this rock, I’ll build My church. And the gates of hell won’t prevail against it.” So what He builds His church on, what He builds with is a revelation of, our revelation of who He is and He reveals who He is.

But He also reveals who we are. He can’t build with just us knowing who He is and us not knowing who we are. Because if we don’t claim who we are, we’ll default to acting like someone we’re not. Or just like what Lynne was saying here, our faith is activated by what we know the will of God is. Faith begins where the will of God is revealed. So when you know who you are, your faith can activate in that. We know that about healing. We know that about finances. But really with how you even relate to the Holy Spirit and how you hear Him, knowing yourself, not just the leaders, but knowing how you hear is really important. Because if you know who you are according to His revelation of you, not just of Him but of you, you can, on purpose, develop that interaction with Him to proficiency. And when we were just worshiping here, that word proficiency and prescriptive so it’s not just all over the place, but it’s real prescriptive and precise. Prayer… interaction can be more and more precise when there is real clarity on our individual hearing. So it’s good to just ask the Lord… ask yourself and ask Him and it may come to you right away. “Oh, that’s how I hear. That’s how I interact.” Which one of those four that Lynne just mentioned, which one you are. And if you’re not sure, ask Him. And just like He defined Peter, He defines you. And then, on purpose, you develop that. And it isn’t to the exclusion of the other three, cuz they’ll be the other three there. Just there will be a more dominant way you hear from Him. Lynne sees things but “sensing” is where she’s dominant. I see things in pictures and I can sense things… But you just identify yourself and then do it on purpose.

When we were talking yesterday, I had the most beautiful… it just came when Lynne was sharing about those four that, that’s why corporate prayer is so incredible. You come together and people who know how they hear and respond to the Holy Spirit and how they hear, you bring those senses together. Paul said if all were an eye, where is the hearing? And if everything is an ear… now I’m adding onto what Paul said… but where’s the sensing? Where’s the touch? If everything was sensory or touch, I’m not talking about physical, I’m talking about spiritual. Then where is that knowing? But you put all of those together and that’s corporate. And we’re stronger. We get way more done. We perceive more with all those different ways of interacting with God present. He said wherever two or three of you are gathered in My name, I reckon wherever two or three are gathered in His name, there’s going to be two or three different kinds of those sensing in operation. Praise God! Isn’t it good to pray together?

Pastor Ray shared…

Do you have an example of that?

Pastor Lynne shared…

The other night when we were praying, I saw this. And it was so beautiful. But this was when we were in D.C. We were praying intensely in the night about the President. We were praying about some of the things that are happening and I saw the United States of America and it was a map. It was on a paper but it was representative, or symbolic, of America. I saw it in a scroll form and it was rolled up. It was flying around the air like this. And President Trump grabbed it as it was flying by, he took it to himself, and then he handed it to the Father. Isn’t that beautiful? He handed it to the Father and the Father took it in His bosom as His own. Isn’t that the sweetest? I believe that, that’s what we’re in the process of now is that he is getting… this is what’s going to happen if it hasn’t happened. So I’m praying about that right now. I thought I would share that. Never have I had such a burden in my life for one person, just on and on and on.

Years ago, Ariel Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel, told me something. I was talking to him about the war when he was the general in the Sinai. I said, “I’m so thankful that God saved Israel.” He said, “Yes, but there are many saviors in Zion. I am a savior of Zion.” That’s what the Bible says, “there are many saviors.” I see Trump as a savior to America, cuz the Lord will use him. He’s a savior to our Zion, which is America.

Pastor Ray shared…

Aren’t you glad you came this morning? Any insight I can receive about corporate prayer, I want it. I know it’s so critical in this hour for our nation, all the different things that have to take place. All over the earth. So thank you for coming.
