Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Good morning, everyone. Happy Wednesday. Good to see y’all here in the chapel.

News on Israel under attack…

You probably heard that Israel was attacked in a couple different ways. Yesterday, hundreds of missiles were launched from the Iranian regime toward Israel in an all-out attack. Most of them were absorbed or taken out by the Iron Dome and Israel’s defenses. And then also in Tel Aviv, a terrorist exploded some sort of device and killed eight Israelis and wounded seven. So it was a difficult day, a dark day in Israel. I’m sure they’re already planning how they’re going to retaliate with what has happened to them.

They are surrounded by their enemies. If you know anything geographically about Israel, surrounded by enemies on all sides. And of course, many good Arab people… people that God loves and we believe God is going to get their attention and save them. But then there are also some terrorist factions within those nations that seek the downfall and destruction of Israel.

We stand with Israel…

Well, I’m here to remind us today that we stand with Israel. We’re going to continue to pray for Israel. And believe that God is defending her and working on her behalf. And so, anyway, that’ll probably come up at some point as we pray this morning. So we’ll keep that in our thoughts and just let the Holy Spirit inspire us as to what to pray about for Israel and for some other things here today.

Luther E. Lovejoy on being a steward of prayer…

To get started, let me share something about being a steward of prayer. As stewards, we have both the privilege and the responsibility to pray for others and for ourselves. Prayer is not a gift to be taken lightly or used irreverently, says stewardship writer Luther E Lovejoy. The power of prayer is the most sobering responsibility. It is a stewardship for which we must render a strict account. In other words, God intends for us to get results. He’s planted us into this earth, endowed us with certain gifts and tasks and responsibilities from His plan’s standpoint that we would produce fruit.

The fruit of answered prayer…

That’s most fundamentally what God is looking for in our lives. That we would produce or yield the fruit of answered prayer, that there would be divine fruitfulness in our binding, in our loosening, in our interceding, in our worship, in our strong stance on a particular promise of God. That’s how we’re to roll, to work in collaboration with Him and His Word, to yield His purposes, His plan.

We may not handle lightly this grave trust as innocent children handle sharp-edged tools or careless workmen high explosives. For to the Christian disciple is given the duty not only to pray and to pray for worthwhile objects to pray for fellow men but to prevail in prayer.

So prevail in prayer! Amen.

I prophesy to you, you’re going to prevail in prayer…

We’re going to prevail in prayer today. Do you agree with that? I’m going to prophesy over you out of the gate this morning: You’re going to prevail in prayer over that situation that He’s assigned you to pray about and watch over. You’re going to prevail on the wall of the outpouring regarding our nation, this election, Israel, any particular thing going on with one of your family members.

You got this because God has got you. He is in your court. You are with Him and He is in you. A God ordained outcome is in your future regarding whatever situation you want to point to.

What have you done with the power of prayer?

Render an account of your stewardship is applicable to prayer as to money or time. What have you done with the power of prayer? It was given you as spiritual capital, with which to achieve, to produce, to create.

So just like the parable of the talents where the Lord instructs us to take the talents that He’s given us and produce increase, harvest, fruitfulness. So God has given you spiritual capital.

The Bible says that He’s even given us an endowment or a portion of the God kind and quality of faith with which we should use daily to engage in kingdom operations, to use that faith to speak life and not death, to prophesy what God is aspiring you to say rather than complain and doubt, to intercede with your heavenly language. That’s a spiritual capital.

The gift of God the Holy Spirit, not only in the initial salvation experience, but also the overflowing, the flooding experience of His presence that produces the evidence of speaking in a unknown language to your intellect. That’s a spiritual capital that can produce great results, can shift the momentum of situations and even nations. And what’s going on in the church in this hour. You! Me! Us together! Amen? Making a difference. Changing the game, so to speak, because of this capital investment. God is looking for us to yield the result of His will…

by what He’s planted in our lives
by the gift of salvation
by the gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit
by the gift of faith
by the endowment of the Holy Spirit.

Whew! I’m getting stirred just thinking about that here this morning.

E.M. Bounds says, We have a powerful helper in the Holy Spirit…

Pastor and devotional writer E.M. Bounds expounds on the Holy Spirit’s role of intercession as discussed in Romans 8. The text is most pregnant and vital in Romans 8 and needs to be quoted. “Patience, hope, and waiting help us in prayer. But the greatest and most divine of all helpers is the Holy Spirit, for He takes hold of things for us. We are dark and confused and ignorant and weak in many things. In fact, everything pertaining to the heavenly life, especially in the simple service of prayer, there is an “aught” on us, an obligation, a necessity to pray, a spiritual necessity upon us of the most absolute and imperative kind.

But we do not feel the obligation and have no ability to meet it. The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, helps us in our weakness, gives us wisdom to our ignorance, turns ignorance, in fact, into wisdom and changes our weakness into strength.

He’s able to convert our weakness into strength…

So you might say, “I don’t have much to offer. I don’t have a lot of energy. I’m still waking up this morning. I don’t know what to do.” Well, good! Because in our weakness, He is able to convert it into strength, into wisdom, into strategy, into results. Why? Because we simply surrender and yield ourselves to His Spirit. Collectively this morning, individually as well.

It goes on to say, “The Spirit himself does this. He helps and takes hold with us as we tug and toil and adds His wisdom to our ignorance, gives strength to our weakness. He pleads for us and in us He quickens, illuminates, and inspires our prayers. He invites and elevates the matter of our prayers and inspires the words and feelings of our prayers. He works mightily in us so that we can pray mightily. He enables us to pray always and ever according to the will of God.

Praying in the Spirit is praying in accordance with His will…

Just that alone. The Bible says that when you pray in your heavenly language, when you pray in the Spirit, I think that also means in your known language, but under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, you’re praying in accordance or in alignment or in agreement with the will and plan of God. Which if you think about it too much might be a little scary to your mindset right now. Like, “Oh, you mean I’m praying about things I may not be real excited about if I were to know about them right now.”

Lance Wallnau’s experience…

Like Lance Wallnau who was complaining one day about having to do some things back during President Trump’s previous presidency. Lance was saying, “Lord, I’m not equipped to go advise the president. I’m not equipped to give him spiritual ideas and direction.” Just kind of griping about it. And the Lord just got all up into his business one morning and said, “Well, that’s funny. Every time you pray in the spirit, this is where you tell me in your spiritual prayers where you want to be, which is before great men and women in leadership to be used to inspire them and spiritually guide them and pray for them.” So what are you praying about today that you don’t know God’s taking you to tomorrow?

The deep in you calls for the deep in God…

Isn’t that good! That’s okay. Maybe right now your natural mind and perspective maybe would freak out to know what the will of God is and what He’s got planned for you today. But your spirit knows, and the Bible says your spirit, the deep in you, calls out to the deep in God. Your true desire and the real you spiritually speaking cries out to what God’s will and purpose and ultimate intent for your future cries out to. It makes a connection where you with the Holy Spirit can intercede, can pray for the perfect will of God in your life, in your family, in your nation.

Laying down railroad tracks for the train of your life…

Make no mistake about it. When you turn yourself into the Holy Spirit and you yield to that spirit of prayer, you are making a difference. You are making progress. You are laying down tracks, railroad tracks, if you will, so that the train of your life can follow the will of God in the future.

“Oh, that’s good. I appreciate that, Ken.”

Our super power…

Well, I’m glad that you think so. Hallelujah. It is our superpower. It always has been the Holy Spirit and His inspiring ability to cause us to pray. It’s your superpower, spiritually speaking. The Spirit when He prays through us or helps us to meet the calling on the inside of you of right praying, trims our praying down to the will of God. In other words, He causes your prayers to synchronize and articulate the perfect will of God for a situation. For you. Isn’t that good? That’s encouraging.

You’ve got a hotline to heaven…

The Bible says that when you speak out in your heavenly prayer language, you’re speaking directly to God. You got a hotline to heaven. But in addition to that, you are praying or speaking out the wonderful works of God. So while maybe in your mind you’re second guessing, maybe just an hour before you were complaining a little bit, when you yield over to the spirit of victory and the spirit of grace and supplication, that being the Holy Spirit, you better believe from your spirit in your heavenly language, you’re declaring how it’s going to be from God’s perspective.

That victory is certain… that healing is mine… that the trajectory of my nation is shifting in the direction God intends… that Israel shall be saved… that as far as me and my household, we shall serve the Lord. Hallelujah!

It’s like heaven has access to your voice…

When you yield to praying in the Spirit, it’s like heaven has access to your voice and you’re able to preach a message that is preached in heaven. And you know that every message preached in heaven is filled and saturated with victory and certainty and boldness and declarations of God’s goodness.

It goes on to say…

“That our mighty oughtness of right praying trims. The Holy Spirit trims our praying down to the will of God, and then we give heart expression to His unutterable groanings in our known language. Then we have the mind of Christ and pray as He would pray.”

Don’t tell me that’s not a superpower or supernatural. In other words, you’re praying as God would pray, even though your understanding is very limited. The Bible says we see right now through a glass darkly. We’re very obscured in our perspective because of the realm we’re in and the body that we live in right now. But make no mistake about it, the Holy Spirit is very clear what the will of God is. Very clear what the outcome is going to be for your life, for this church, for our state, for this nation, for the body of Christ in this hour. It’s very clear. There’s no shadow of turning in the heart or mind of God. He has no second plan. His plan shall stand. His plan shall prosper. His word shall come to pass. And that’s what we’re praying when we pray in other tongues. You’re praying the certainty of God’s intent for your life, for that situation. It’s going to be that way. “You better get used to it, Devil.”

The enemy starts to sweat and shake when you pray in the spirit…

You better believe the enemy starts to sweat and shake and get really nervous when you give yourself to prayer in other tongues. If you’ll give yourself even additional time to praying in the spirit, you’ll be amazed of what begins to rise out of your spirit. There’s a great reservoir of God and resource of heaven and ideas and concepts and boldness and ability and supernatural drive to chase after Him and His will for your life, if you will but tap into it through prayer in the spirit.

When you pray in tongues, you build yourself up…

The Bible says that he who prays in an unknown tongue, edifies himself, charges himself up. I’ve found that if you’ll give yourself enough to praying in other tongues, you can’t stay silent any longer. You must speak out. You must prophesy. You must proclaim the Gospel. You must confront evil. You must pray that justice take over a situation that is currently unjust.

Moved to God-ordained action…

I found that if you pray enough in the spirit, you will be supernaturally moved to action. God-ordained action. And sometimes that’s just in how you run your household or how you’re doing your day, or how you’re using your mind as far as thinking.

Each day we’re to adopt a new attitude of mind…

The Bible says that each day we’re to adopt a new attitude of mind. You better believe along with the Word that prayer addresses the issues of your soul, your mind, your will, and your emotions. Some things will only change as you give yourself to the Spirit of God in prayer… concerning your soul… concerning your mind. It will give you a perpetual new perspective so that you can think correctly, speak correctly, believe correctly, along, of course, with the Word.

Let me finish this final paragraph here. I’m going to read this again.

He says, “Then when we pray, we have the mind of Christ. We pray as He would pray, His thoughts, His purposes, His desires become our desires, purposes, and thoughts. It is the unfolding of the Word by the Spirit’s light.”

Think about that. When you pray in the spirit, you’re casting light on your path. Brother Kenneth Hagin used to say that when you pray in other tongues, it’s like walking into a pitch-dark room, spiritually speaking, and flipping a switch and allowing light to cascade across that room. When you pray in the spirit, you’re flipping the switch of God the Holy Spirit, so that you can see and know what decision needs to be made today, how to make that decision.

It allows you to get in sync with God’s timing…

I’ve said before, it also allows you to synchronize or get in sync with God’s timing. Because experiencing open doors, stepping into opportunities, receiving harvest, being fully crowned with His favor isn’t so much a confession as it is a synchronizing with the cadence of the Holy Spirit for your life and for the plan of God, so that you’re at the right place at the right time to receive that favor, to deal with that situation, to avoid a pitfall. Oh, so much of the will of God is simply synchronizing yourself with what God has planned out according to your book of destiny. And prayer synchronizes you according to the will of God, so that things just flow better.

Minister shared how lack of prayer made him to be out of sync with God…

I remember years ago… I can’t remember who it was that talked about how he learned through the years that when he struggled in his life and he seemed to hit locked doors and brick walls and things just didn’t flow very well, that the Lord one time caught his attention and said it was simply due to the fact he was a half step or a step behind in his prayer life. And that he wasn’t synced up. He was out of sync, out of timing. Things are just tough and difficult.

I’m not saying there aren’t still times that you experience that you just got to persevere. But I believe prayer allows there to be heaven’s flow. It taps into and draws, once again, heaven’s flow so that we’re in that flow in our day to day.

Finally, it says it is the unfolding of the Word by the Spirit’s light, guidance, teaching, enabling us to perform the great office of intercessors on earth, in harmony with the great intercessions of Jesus Christ at the Father’s right hand in heaven.
