Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Hello and happy Wednesday! Good to have you with us. My name is Ken, if you don’t already know.
“Eleven Signs That Prove 2025 Will Be Historic”
I wanted to start off by sharing a couple of things with you. I came across this just the other day. It’s entitled “Eleven Signs That Prove 2025 Will Be Historic.” And there’s some quick good reminders regarding the hour and the season that we’re in. And I believe we need to be discerning and recognize what is happening in the earth and the signs that are all around us. We live in a world where it’s literally filled with signs regarding the end of days and the return of Jesus.
Pastor Tom Hughes…
And this was given by a pastor by the name of Tom Hughes, who laid out 11 prophetic signs that suggests the coming years will be nothing short of unprecedented. And it’s a good reminder for us to stay vigilant, for us to stay aware of the season and the time that we live in so that we can engage in the Father’s purposes, firstly through prayer. And so let me just share these 11 things real quickly.
First sign: Lots of unbelievers in church…
The first sign is that there’ll be a lot of unbelievers in churches. Pastor Hughes opened up with a sobering observation. He said, “Churches are filled with unbelievers and false teachings.” He pointed out that many congregations have embraced doctrines that deny truths, including the existence of hell and the authority of God’s Word. The Bible warned that that would happen in the last days. And Pastor Hughes cited 1st Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times, some will depart from the faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”
Pastor Ken comments…
Aren’t you glad we get to pray and participate in the ongoing work of God revealing Himself in the earth and in people’s lives? Prayer is our ability to see in this hour. It’s our ability to discern and to help others to see and discern God’s grace and love and not be caught up in those doctrines of devils, as 1st Timothy says.
Second sign: A system that cannot be escaped…
Secondly, he says there’ll be a system that cannot be escaped. He said, “Technology is creating a system where no one can buy or sell without being tracked,” referencing Revelation 13:17. From the digital currencies to drone surveillance, he highlighted how governments are developing tools for unprecedented control. This is not something we can escape. He warns the importance of spiritual preparation.
Pastor Ken comments…
We’ve been talking a lot about that for the last months, right? We’ve been praying out preparation, get your house in order, take advantage of His Word and your time in the presence of God to be strengthened and reinforced spiritually speaking.
Third sign: Unparalleled deception…
The third sign for 2025 is unparalleled deception. We’ve entered into an era where deception is almost impossible to avoid. Pastor Hughes declared this, pointing to advancements in AI, deepfake technology. He explained how these tools make disguising truth from lies increasingly difficult, fulfilling Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24:24. “For false prophets and false Christs will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible, even the elect.”
Sign four: Rise in Anti-Semitism…
Pastor Hughes call attention to the alarming increase in anti-Semitism worldwide. We’re seeing Jewish people driven back to Israel. He notes, tying this trend to prophecies in Ezekiel 36 and 37. He adds, “God is bringing His people home as He promised,” which of course was to be a sign as well to the generation before the coming of Jesus a second time.
Fifth sign: Worldwide focus on Israel…
The fifth sign for 2025 that it’s going to be an unprecedented year is the focus on Israel. Jerusalem is becoming a burdensome stone for all nations, Hughes says, quoting Zacharia 12:3. He highlighted the growing tension surrounding Israel’s capital, including international disputes over its sovereignty. This is exactly what the Bible said would happen in the last days.
Sixth sign: Nations are getting into position…
The sixth sign is Ezekiel 38 “players in position.” He used details that the alliance forming between nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38, including Russia, Iran, and Turkey. These nations are aligning in ways that can only make sense if you understand Bible prophecy. He argues the coalition will come against Israel and we’re watching it unfold.
Seventh sign: Destruction of Damascus…
The seventh sign that 2025 will be an unprecedented year is the destruction of Damascus. Turning to Isaiah 17, Hughes speaks about the ongoing war in Syria and the looming threat of Damascus’s destruction. The Bible says Damascus will become a ruinous heap. He explains, with the current geopolitical tensions, this prophecy could be fulfilled any day.
Eighth sign: Knowledge will increase…
And the eighth sign is knowledge will be increased. And there’ll be much movement. Pastor Hughes stated, Daniel 12 foretold that knowledge would increase and people would move to and fro. He emphasized how exponential advancements in technology and global travel are clear signs of the times we’re living in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
Nineth sign: Donald Trump’s reelection…
President Donald Trump, or his reelection, is a pivotal moment that has reshaped global dynamics. He stands as a bulwark against the globalist agenda. Hughes says linking this to prophetic warnings about world governance in Daniel chapter seven.
Tenth sign: Globalist agenda for a one-world government…
Number 10, globalist agenda and the new world order. The push for a one-world government is accelerating. Referencing Revelation 13 and the 10-Kingdom System in Daniel 2, he argued that ongoing efforts to centralize power align perfectly with Bible prophecy.
Pastor Ken comments…
Of course, the globalists do not like that and do not like President Trump’s message and the things that he’s confronting.
Eleventh sign: Calls for peace in the Middle East…
The 11th sign is that calls for peace and a one-world leader. Pastor Hughes addressed the increasing calls for peace in the Middle East and the emergence of a potential global leader. The Bible warns of a false peace and the rise of the Antichrist. He explains citing 1st Thessalonians 5:3, “For when they say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them.”
Wakeup call for believers…
Pastor Hughes’ prophetic roadmap for 2025 serves as a wakeup call for sleeping believers. While the signs may be unsettling, they all point to the hope of Christ’s return. These things must come to pass, and we’re reminded of this. “But we are not to fear. Instead, we are to lift up our heads for our redemption draws near.”
We live in a world filled with signs…
Isn’t that good? Amen. So, just some quick reminder of some of the signs that are all around us. As I often quote, a secular author and speaker a couple of years ago said, “We live in a world literally filled with signs.” And that is our reminder as believers, as followers of Jesus, that we can’t live any old way. God is inviting us into an opportunity now to participate in His end time events, to participate in the unfolding awakening that needs to happen, the unfolding revival that must occur in the church and the ushering in of Jesus a second time. And the end of all things.
Don’t be like the foolish virgins without oil for their lamps…
I’ll remind you of 2nd Peter 4:7, that talks about how there’s coming a time where the culmination of all things will be at hand, therefore be sober minded and discipline. I’m paraphrasing. I think the Amplified Bible says, “For the practice of prayer.” So understand that. And also we’re reminded through Jesus in the New Testament, in the gospels that we in this hour ought to be those five virgins who trim their lamps with the oil of the Holy Spirit, the oil of the Spirit’s presence. But there would be another five out of 10 total virgins who were foolish, unwise, sleeping, lazy maybe. Or as Paul cites in one passage in a letter to a church, he said, “Don’t be slothful.” That means slow to respond to God. Be quick to pick up on the Spirit of God’s cues. Be quick to respond to that prompting in your heart to do, to say, to pray, to repent, to obey to Him. His mercy is in repentance. His mercy is in us responding to His leadership and His directive on a daily basis.
The Holy Spirit in your life…
The leadership of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, is not supposed to be some cool, cute kind of thing. In some instances, it could save, and will save, your life. Will set the course for your future, will enable you the Spirit’s leadership to avoid pitfalls, to pray effectively, even supernaturally as God works with you to see the plan of God realized in your life, in the church, in your family.
Prayer through the generations…
I don’t know about you, but I’m conscious… Every so often I think about even people that I didn’t know in my family, but I was told by my Grandfather and others who had a great faith about them and were pray-ers. And I’m convinced that some that have gone before me, generations before me and my family line prayed out the plan of God for me. And certainly those in my family line from grandparents to great grandparents prayed out the destinies and the purposes of myself and others in my family, and probably you too.
From Pastor Ken’s prayer journal…
So prayers are a real thing. We barely have scratched the surface in our understanding regarding the power of prayer. In fact, I don’t know that I’ve shared this with you, but I jotted down some thoughts regarding prayer in a little different language, but I hope this inspires you here this morning. But just listen to this in regards to the power of prayer.
Different kinds of prayer…
Prayers interface with the physical realm where spiritual energy is converted into tangible effects in the material world. Prayer is not just asking for things but participating in the fundamental creative force in the spiritual and natural realms. Different kinds of prayer produce different kinds of results.
And then concerning in particular, collective prayer. When multiple people pray for the same thing, their prayers and prayer energies will intertwine and amplify each other, creating powerful resonance patterns that can literally move mountains.
When you speak, when you worship, when you pray, when you declare, you’re releasing spiritual resonance patterns, frequencies out into the realm of the spirit, into the realm that you can’t see. But we know is there. Even scientists say mathematically we can prove there may be room for even multiple parallel universes. We know that as humans we only see a relatively small spectrum of light. But that if you had the ability, you could see a lot more. Because there’s lots more light that is unseen to the natural eye.
Show me the evidence of the Holy Spirit in your life…
And so understand that a whole lot happens when you choose to take up the mantle of prayer. When you choose to speak life rather than death, hope rather than doubt. Jesus didn’t send the Holy Spirit again so that it’s kind of a novelty for the Christian, like, “I’ve got the Holy Spirit.” Well, that’s great, but show me the evidence of the Holy Spirit in your life. Clearly, in the early church, they understood the Holy Spirit comes to empower the people of God. He is, in fact, the Spirit of power. He is also called the spirit of grace and supplication. AKA prayer! So show me the evidence the Holy Spirit is in your life. Show me power. Show me consistent patterns of prayer. Show me the supernatural of God. Not done by you, but by the Holy Spirit in you. It’s not by our might, it’s not by our intellect, but it’s by the power of the Holy Spirit.
And I don’t know about you, but that’s one reason I pray because I recognize my ineptness, my inability to produce God results, the will of God in my life. Pastor Lynne has taught us that really clearly through the years. That prayer enables us, especially prayer in the spirit or under the influence of the Holy Spirit, using the language of prayer that the Holy Spirit gives us… it produces results. It causes fruit to be born. It causes change to happen. It is us participating in the ongoing creation of the will of God on planet earth by the release of divine resonance patterns, by the release of faith into the atmospheres of our communities and nations and homes and situations so that change can come.
You’ve been created in the image of God once again. And God has deposited in you a measure of His creative ability. He’s given us a will to choose. And with that will, we can choose to speak forth life. We can choose to contend in the place of the unknown and say, “Lord, this is chaotic. This is unknown in my life, in my nation, in my church, in my family. This ought not be so. I see in your Word that you called light out of darkness, order out of chaos in the Book of Genesis, life out of nothingness.”
I know we’re not at the level of God’s faith, but we clearly in the Word, as Paul reveals, have been given a measure of the God kind and God quality of faith so that we too can frame our world with our words.
