Do your words reveal that you’re a person of faith?
Good morning, saints. Thank you so much for coming to prayer.
You know, saints, I’ve been thinking about faith lately. And the Lord has been telling me, “Son, you talk about faith, but you don’t act by faith. Your words don’t show that you are a man of faith.”
So I’ve been going through some deep examination of myself lately to determine whether I am a faith man that I profess? Because if I’m a faith man, I would act differently. I would speak differently. And one of the things He’s been challenging me about lately is about our church attendance and our church numbers. We were having a conversation last week, the Holy Spirit and I, and He was challenging me. He said, “You keep on praying and asking Me to do something.” He said, “I’m not going to do anything.” He said, “What are you doing about the growth? What are you confessing about the growth?”
When are we going to start acting by faith?
Saints, it was a real expose for me, I tell you. Because, many times… and I fall into that habit, “Oh Lord, we’re praying for the people to come. Oh Lord, because of covid. They have not responded.” He said, “Did I not say that faith is now in My Word?” I said, “Yes, Lord.” He said, “So when are you going to start acting by faith?”
He quickened me…
And so He quickened me, you know, He uses my spiritual father to help me a lot. And that’s how I ended up at this church in the first place. So He said, “Your spiritual father is Brother Hagin. Go do some studying and some reading when it comes to the area of healing and transfer that into faith for Living Word.” So He quickened me.
Testimony of woman with three months to live…
There’s a story about back in 1971, brother Hagin had this husband and wife, pastor and wife, friends. Reverend RV Kemp. So the wife, unfortunately, was dealing with cancer. And it came back a third time. And so the doctors gave her three months to live. It was in every gland of her body. So Brother Hagin was having a service. And this Reverend Kemp, who was the pastor of First Assembly Church in Pasadena, Texas. So Reverend Kemp brought his wife to this service that Brother Hagin was conducting. And during the time for healing, brother Hagin said that when they came into that assembly, his choice of words is that… He said, “When my wife and I saw her, we almost wept. She looked like the picture of death. She came forward and I laid hands on her. The power of God fell on her…”
And listen to what she said, saints. This is a woman that was just given three months to live. This is a woman that cancer was in every gland of her body. This is what she says. She said, “This is it. This is it. I know according to the Word of God, I’m healed.” Yet she still had all the symptoms. She was still helpless. Her husband had to get her out of bed and dress her. He had to prepare her meals, then pick her up in his arms and sit her down in a chair at the table. And here’s her confession. “I know according to the Word of God that I am healed. I choose to walk by faith in God’s Word rather than by sight.”
She made a choice…
Let me read that again. “I choose.” She made a choice. When everything was telling her, “No, no, no, no, you are on your way to the grave.” When she came to that service and the man of God touched her and the power of God fell on her, what did she say? So that’s one of the things the Lord has been talking to me about. What have you been saying, son? Have you been agreeing with My Word or have you been agreeing with the natural senses, what you see? Because here’s this woman of God says, “I know according to the Word of God that I’m healed and I choose to walk by faith in God’s Word rather than by sight.”
The Lord is waiting on us…
And the Lord quickened me. “Now what you have read there now bring it into Church growth and what I have for Living Word and everything will be okay because you are not waiting on Me. I’m actually waiting on you.”
Mark 11:24. “Therefore, I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.”
Romans 4:17, “Calling those things that be not as though they are…”
Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.”
John 4:35. “Open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for harvest.”
Acts 2:41, “About 3,000 were added to their number that day.
Declarations…
So I want us to make a declaration now. In light of what I just read to you about Sister Kemp. Sister Kemp operated in faith by faith. She made some declarations when everything was not looking right. And then shortly afterwards, she got out of that place and she was totally healed. Now that is walking by faith! And that’s what the Lord showed me. He said, “Son, you’ve been saying this, but you’ve not been acting by faith.”
Easter attendance goal…
And so we have a commission from my senior pastor. Last week, Pastor Trina said that our senior pastor, Pastor Mac and Lynne, they are believing for at least 5,000 people here at church for Easter. So when I heard that, I said, “Okay, Lord, we are going to take on this assignment. So what myself and the healing school team are doing, we said we’re going to partner up with our senior pastor and we’re going to go for 5% of that target. And 5% of 5,000 is 250 people. So as a healing school team, we have asked the Lord for at least 250 people for that weekend. And we have a campaign. You got to have some tasks. You can’t just pray. You got to go to work. You got to do something.
So one of our campaigns that we are doing… and we started yesterday… My wife and I live in Ramsey. And Miss Cindy has been so gracious to look into our database and to see how many people have visited Living Word from the city of Ramsey. And I was shocked; these are not members now. So these are just people that have visited in times past. It’s almost 200 people that are not members, that don’t go to Northwest, that are not on staff. So we started a calling campaign yesterday. We’re going to go after all those 200 people and invite them back. So we’re going to call them at least three times, depending on the response, and then we’re going to email them. So that’s what we are doing.
Making declarations like Sister Kemp…
Believing God for at least 250 out of that 5,000. And I just want to ask you to do something about that; maybe in your department, maybe as a team. So let’s make this opening declaration together please. On three. Let’s do this together. Just as Sister Kemp declared, this is it. While symptoms remained, we declare this is it. Our harvest is here. We don’t wait to see 5,000 visitors to believe it. We believe it, to see it. Just as she acted healed before physical change, we act now as a church receiving this harvest. Ooh, glory! Hallelujah! Bless the Lord!
Faith declarations…
So I want us to make some faith declarations. Let’s say this together:
“We thank you, Lord, that at least 5,000 people are encountering Jesus this Easter.
Our teams are moving with divine efficiency for these crowds.
Every seat is filled with hungry hearts.
Every visitor is divinely connected to this house.
Salvations are flowing freely in every service.
We’re making faith declarations. We’re calling things that be not as though they are.
So I want to do some praying, saints, some prayer focus. So, as you know, we need to prepare for this harvest. There’s a preparation. So let’s thank God for the current operation of the drawing power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah. So let’s pray.
Prayed…
So thank you, Lord. We thank you for your operation right now. Drawing… the power of the Spirit of God, drawing people from the north, from the south, from the east and the west, drawing them to this house, Lord, drawing them to this house for this upcoming Easter celebration. And not just to this house, to every church, to our Northwest church, to Iglesia, to online to every Bible believing church in this city, in this state, in this country, in the world, the power of God drawing people, men, women, children … the power of the Holy Spirit right now. We thank you for the operation of the drawing power of the Holy Spirit.
