Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Sister Jeannie…
Good morning. Welcome to Morning Prayer.
I heard someone say yesterday, “What an honor to be alive during these times.” It’s an honor to be alive during these times and sometimes the most baffling thing is that God chose us to be alive during these times. And along with that, He’s never had an insecure moment about choosing us to be alive during these times. And we can take great comfort in that, that wherever He has you, He’s completely confident in where He has you right now. Complete confidence! Not one time has He doubted His ability in you to not only get through but to take dominion.
Prayed…
So, Holy Spirit, I thank you for utterance today. I thank you that you speak through us as you minister to us. We thank you that you’re with us, that you’re in us. We thank you for the name that is above every name.
The name of Jesus always wins…
Especially in times like this, we have a name that has never lost, that never will lose, that doesn’t even have an opposite. That always overtakes the darkness. That always, always, always wins every time. And really our part is to utilize that name. The name of Jesus that made a show of things right when it looked like it was the end, right when it looked like it was over. Jesus didn’t even look like a man anymore. And He called it “finished.” And then He didn’t even end it there. Then He went to hell and made a show of them. No contest. No contest! Never has been a contest.
So let’s pray in the spirit right now and watch over what I know God has for us today. And then we’re going to pray it out and it’s good news. It’s not only good news. It’s about real time winning in this hour.
Have you noticed the groanings?
I’m sure we’ve all noticed this. I’m just putting words to it this morning. But I’m going to put it in a question form. Have you noticed the groanings. You know, the groanings… The Word talks about how the earth is crying out for the sons of God to be revealed in Romans. The earth is crying out. And then you have the people in the church that are finding out that the name of Jesus works in real time. I am loving these moments where we’re pressed up against the wall. There are times when He’s our only option. Foolishly by the way. There are times when we only use His name when it’s our only option left.
There’s a shift taking place…
But can’t you see a shift happening in the church? That’s our go-to now. I was talking to Ray the other day and I said… We were having a conversation. And I said “You can feel the groanings in the chapel.” This longing to experience what God has said, what God has promised for this place, what God has promised for Minnesota, her namesake being “St. Paul.” St. Paul who was Saul before he had that Damascus moment. In these times. Right now, today. And if we will receive Holy Spirit’s fortification, His strength, we begin to acknowledge that desire to see Him move, to see the former and the latter rain here on the earth, we will begin to acknowledge that desire again. Because hope deferred makes the heart sick.
1st Samuel 17…
So we’re going to 1st Samuel 17 today. We’re going to kind of parse it out and pray it out. Because in the middle of all the groanings, a giant has been pardoned. But I will tell you prophetically, I do not agree with that pardon. When I started reading about David and Goliath, one thing I noticed was that the Israelites… So the Word says that for 40 days, Goliath tormented the people of God. And they put up with it. They allowed it.
We have tolerated too much for too long…
And we’ve reached a point in our country and in the church where for four years… longer. Where we put up with it. You know that, right? The thing that you tolerate will remain and many times grow. But we’ve reached a point of intolerance for evil, just like Goliath tormenting the people and they’re putting up with it.
Why did they put up with it for so long?
So when you read it in the Word, you’re thinking, “Why would they put up with that?” And then, Holy Spirit, “What are you putting up with, Jeanie? When you have My name?” So I’m going to go out on a limb here, I’m going to propose a question to you. What if we have seen happen here on the earth as the result of our prayers, as the result of us putting legs to our prayers are really, truly only the equivalent of David killing the lion and the bear when he was alone with God. And what if we are about to go in and take the land and now the giant killing has begun? And that is why the giants are getting louder.
The Giants of World War III, the giants of disruption in South Korea… The giants are opening their mouths and attempting to show themselves stronger just like Goliath. And I find it poignant that one man… God always only requires a remnant. That one man that was rejected, whose calling was completely disrespected by his family, by his father, only God stood for David when he was anointed king. Think about that. Only God.
Is this a prophetic picture of the church?
So this one man that had been spending all of that time with God in silence, in stillness, killing the lion and the bear. Is that not a prophetic picture of what’s been going on in the church? We really haven’t shown up on the scene until now. We’ve been praying, we’ve been waking up, we’ve been realizing that if we don’t mobilize, this really is our battle. This really is our turf that the enemy’s coming. The enemy has brought it to us, just like Goliath brought the battle to the church.
What if we are about to go in and kill the giants? And the biggest indicator is because they are laughing. They are laughing. They are staring. They’re doing everything they can to get us to believe the lie that they’re too powerful to take out.
The CEO of UnitedHealthcare was killed yesterday. You know that. He’s from Minnesota and was in Manhattan at a conference. That’s just a giant. That’s all that is. That’s just a liar because we have the authority.
We have the ministry of sonship…
So we receive your ministry right now. We receive the ministry of sonship, the ministry of belonging to you, what that looks like. Just like David in the stillness of attending the sheep, he received the ministry of what it looked like to belong to you. And when no one was looking, he killed the lion and the bear. And he had absolutely no idea it would lead him to accidentally running into a giant that was tormenting the people, that was tormenting people that had the power to kill the giant. And he would be the one to do it.
The culture shifted when David killed the giant…
And by the way, once that happened, culture shifted. All of a sudden, Israel realized that these giants could be defeated. And that is the word for the day.
When we were in prayer yesterday, I was sitting over there and I just kept hearing “They are all lies.” None of it has any substance of truth. None of it! You know that the enemy… his only weapon that he can use against us is our agreement with the lie. That’s why he works so hard at it. He has no other supply other than our agreement.
Let’s go to 1st Samuel 17…
“Now, the Philistines gathered their armies for battle and were assembled at Soca, which belongs to Judah and encamped between Soca and…” those two other names that I’m not going to pronounce. Saul and the men of Israel were encamped in the valley of Elah and drew up in battle array against the Philistines.
So look, they were preparing for battle. But you see that preparing for battle and actually going in believing God are two different things. “And the Philistine stood on a mountain on one side and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side with the valley between them. And a champion went out.” A champion. Giants that have won battles. This is encouraging. Just that alone is encouraging. Just because these giants have won before has nothing to do with the fact that their time of defeat is upon them.
Goliath of Gath and his armor…
“And a champion went out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath whose height…” Okay here’s what I find interesting. The scripture uses verse 4, 5, 6, and 7 to describe his armor. You know I’m still asking, Holy Spirit, “Why did you spend all that time to describe what the enemy was wearing and using?” But if you think on it, part of why I believe the scripture uses all of that… It’s kind of to me wasted energy, but it’s really not. Because as I read this, notice the buildup of all of his armor, how prepared he was. So he was not only a champion, he was prepared, he was savvy, he was a billionaire. He had a ton of money. He had a ton of connections. And we know the end of the story. It took hardly anything to take him out. From a man that spent time with God.
Do you hear that?
So this champion who was fortified in today’s terms had been moved through the ranks with a ton of connections, had a ton of resources, was known as a champion. Arrogant. His words created torment and fear amongst those around him. Made his enemy shake. And the hilarity of a kid… A kid running an errand. An errand for people that despised his confidence in God took out the giant.
That’s the church.
Okay, so let’s read the buildup. Verse three…
“And the Philistine stood on a mountain on one side, Israel stood on a mountain on the other side with the valley between them and a champion…” a champion! I am cursing that right now. Doesn’t that bug you? So irritating.
“A champion went out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath, whose height… Okay, here we go. Here comes the buildup. But let’s laugh at this. “Whose height was six cubits and a span, meaning almost 10 feet tall. And he had a bronze helmet. Ha ha. Okay, a bronze helmet on his head. He wore a coat of mail, and the coat weighed 5,000 shekels of bronze.
So he was able to carry these resources. He was able to operate with all of these resources, and he was very skilled at it. He was able to utilize all of these connections. He understood how the world worked. He understood how to get things done. And he was resourced. Giants. He had a bronze helmet on his head, a coat of mail. His coat of bronze weighed 5,000 shekels. He had a bronze shin armor on his legs and a bronze javelin across his shoulders. Formidable! I mean, when you look at him in the flesh, yeah, he’s scary. When you look at him in the flesh.
The shaft of his spear was like a weaver’s beam. His spear’s head weighed 600 shekels of iron and a shield bearer went before him.
If they’re not with God, we can take them out…
Okay, so we’re going to take verse 4, 5, 6, and 7, and we’re going to explain how intimidating he is and how skilled he is at intimidation, at torment, at operating with all these resources. Does this not encourage you? Think about it. God is saying even these formidable forces, if they’re not with Me, you can take them out.
I’m just going to say it again. I mean, seriously. Even these formidable forces that are well resourced, that are very connected, that know how to operate, navigate, you can take them out. And that is what we are doing today.
So here we go. Verse eight. Okay, so he’s not only formidable, he not only has all the goods, everything you would need to win. He’s not only a champion, meaning he has a history of beating people. Okay? So he has a history of taking over and doing evil. So his resume… “Hey, hire that guy.”
Then he stands and shouts to the ranks of Israel and says, “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine? And are you not servants of Saul?” Don’t you love that? Um, I’m the champion. You’re just a servant of the loser king. Does it sound like what we’ve been hearing? “I’m a big giant. I’m a big company. I’m going to control what you put out there because you are just a Christian and your values are outdated. And we don’t need that.” Is it really? Okay.
He’s prophesying his own defeat…
“Choose a man…” Okay, this part, he’s prophesying his own defeat. Okay, listen for this.
“Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me.” I love when he says that. “Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down here.” God says, “I was waiting for you to say it.” Now listen to what Goliath the giant says. “If he is able to fight with me and kill me…” Did you hear that? “Then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us.”
The church is mobilizing…
This is what is coming upon our land. The church is mobilizing. The church is realizing who they are. The church is seeing the giants for who they are—liars, deceivers, and defeatable, and already conquered. And we serve God. We do not and will never give any supply to the giants. In fact, I believe many of these giants… there are a few already that are waking up and serving God. Have you noticed that as well? It’s already happening right before our eyes. So we might as well just agree and get in a good mood.
Okay, so here we go.
“And the Philistine said…” I just love his arrogance, which is just to build up the greater the fall. “I defy the ranks of Israel this day. I defy God’s people this day. Give me a man that we may fight together.”
Love it. Love it.
The giant is longing to be defeated… with his words. God is moving the enemy like chess pieces to do His bidding. He’s causing these arrogant things to come out of the enemy’s mouth, just to prepare him for defeat. A giant being pardoned will be his defeat. I don’t agree with that pardon.
Goliath wasn’t pardoned. He sure thought he was though, didn’t he? I don’t agree with it. I think it’d be a really good idea for you not to agree with it too. Take your place. Take your place!
Okay, and the Philistine said, “I defy the ranks of Israel this day. Give me a man that I may fight together. Then Saul…” Okay, this to me is hilarious too. “When Saul and all of Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.”
Do you know why that’s funny? Because we already know what happened. In comes a kid who’s been spending time with God to run an errand for people that despise his belief in God and his image of himself through God, and he takes out that formidable, well-equipped billionaire.
We are living in this time. The name that has never once been defeated has already killed the lion and the bear. And when the giants start to sneer and torment and intimidate, that is our indicator of their defeat.
It’s already been set in the courtroom of heaven…
Father, I thank you so much for that. I thank you that the precedence has already been set in the Word. It’s already been set in the courtroom of heaven. Oh yeah, when they start to do this, I cause them to ask for it. They’re asking for it. That’s really what they’re doing. They’re just asking for their own defeat. Was he asking for it here? Okay, I think he’s asking for it.
“Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to see me. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants.” That’s a great idea, Giant. I love this idea. Probably the most sensible thing the enemy has ever said.
Verse 12, David, who was denied any credibility from his dad or his brothers, by the way. He was given no credibility whatsoever when he was anointed king. And just a quick sidenote, you know all of David’s mighty men, if you look at that, not one of them were his brothers. His brothers that witnessed him be anointed king. His brothers that saw the prophet come and anoint him king… not one of them got on board.
Holy Spirit, we repent right now for any time that we have failed to recognize a giant killer. We repent right now for any time we have failed to recognize that we are giant killers.
