Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Oh, happy day. It is Monday. Good to see you guys. Welcome to the chapel. Good to have you with us. My name is Ken Olsen, if you don’t already know. And we’re going to pray this morning. Can we do that? And just give ourselves to what God has in mind for us to pray about this morning.
Jesus said it was profitable that He leave so the Holy Spirit could come…
The longer I journey to know the Father, the more impressed I am with the one He sent to be with us, a.k.a. the Holy Spirit. Jesus said it was profitable; it was for our benefit that He go back to the Father, which I’m sure made the disciples’ minds go tilt. Like, “What? You’re leaving? You just got here,” you know? “What are we going to do without you?” But Jesus said, “No,” emphatically, “It’s better that I go back to the Father, because if I’ll do so, I’ll pray and the Father will send another comforter, helper, somebody who will be with you always in every stage and season and situation of life.”
Be encouraged, the Holy Spirit is where you’re at…
And aren’t we glad that He’s with us? I’m so glad He’s with us. Yes, I’m glad for the supernatural works that He puts on display that I’m sure all of us in different ways have experienced in our lives. But I’m just grateful for His presence, for the peace that He brings, for the comfort, for His still, small whisperings and the words that He speaks to your heart when you’re facing a challenge and He says, “It’s going to be all right. I’ve got your back. I’ve led you this far. I’m not going to leave you now. I’m going to take you the distance, and I will be with you always.” And so be encouraged this morning; the Holy Spirit is where you’re at. He’s with us here in this chapel this morning, and I just look to Him just like you are.
Galatians 5:15–18, Amplified Classic
So to start with, I thought I would share a passage found in Galatians from the Amplified Classic version. Galatians 5:15, just to give us a little bit of a heading as we pray this morning and as we enter into what God wants us to do. But Galatians 5:15–18 states…
“Look carefully, then, how you walk. Live purposefully and worthily and accurately. Not as the unwise and witless, but as wise, sensible, intelligent people.” That’ll cause you to stand out in this hour, just being wise, sensible, and intelligent in a world that has gone awry in some ways.
“Making the most of the time, buying up each opportunity because the days are evil.” Verse 17 says, “Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding.” (In other words, be in the know…) “And firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.”
Well, how do we do that?
Well, I have always linked verse 17 with 18. It says in verse 17, “Be understanding what God wants you to do,” in other words, what the will of the Lord is. Firmly grasp it. Verse 18 says we do it this way: “And do not be drunk with wine.” In other words, don’t be distracted or drunken by the cares of this world, by the lust of other things, by everything that competes for our attention on a daily basis. Say “no” to that. Give the Devil no place. And say yes, he says “to be ever filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.”
There’s a connection between be being filled, allowing the Holy Spirit’s ministry to be active…
Isn’t that interesting? So there’s a connection between be being filled and stimulated, allowing the Holy Spirit’s ministry to be active and present in your life and you and I knowing the will of God for us, understanding the direction we’re to head in today, how to make a decision, when to hold and when to fold. Sorry, that dates me a little bit. Wasn’t that a late ‘70s song? Kenny Rogers, I think.
We’re not helpless…
Anyway, just notice that connection by being filled and knowing what God has for you to do today, or any given day, or in any given situation. We’re not alone. We’re not helpless. We’re in the advantage when compared to the enemy, when compared to the devices and the challenges that we face in this world. Oh, hallelujah, glory to God. It’s okay to feel uncertain. It’s okay to feel like, “I don’t know what to do in this situation,” but don’t make that your own and confess it.
The Holy Spirit is on board in your life…
Jesus said in the Gospels, “Don’t take the thought saying.” So you may feel it. It’s okay. Let it come. Feel it. Sometimes I feel incapable, unable, not knowing what to do, frustrated, whatever the case might be, tempted to fear. But then I’ll say, “Lord, I thank you that your Holy Spirit is on board and in my life. I thank you that He knows. He’s the one who knows all things because He comes from you, and He’s in me.”
And He will lead you forward.
And don’t get desperate. Don’t get freaked out if something is coming up, and you’re not sure what to do about it. God will show you in His time. His timing is perfect. And He will always come through for you and me. He’ll grant you a prayer to pray. There are countless records in scripture of men and women of God in much more hopeless situations than any of us find ourselves in. And at the right moment, God granted a prayer. He granted a faith decree. He granted something, a step for them to take at the right time that opened the door, that caused the enemy to be repelled back, that brought down giants, that brought down in fortified and seemingly impenetrable walls through a shout, through a strategy to march around those walls and then give a shout the seventh time around.
God has ways you haven’t even thought of yet…
Who would have ever thought that? Well, I’m here to tell you, God has ways that you haven’t thought of yet, ways and words and prayers that He grants that will pop up in your heart. And if you’ll take them and obey them and say them, God will perform them. Don’t overlook, one of the great templates of scripture. God, utters, He moves within our spirits through His still, small voice. He speaks something to us off the pages of His Word and by His Holy Spirit, not for us just to say, “Oh, that’s nice,” and then forget it as we go along into our day. No, He says something so that we can say the same thing. We’re the agents of change in the earth realm through prayer, through our faith decrees, through the simple exercise of our authority, even the whispering of the name of Jesus.
You, as a believer, have the right to use His name…
Just the name of Jesus repels forces of evil and despair and discouragement and fear backwards. Jesus! You’re called by His name. You professed His name once upon a time. That means you’re a son, you’re a daughter. You have the right to the use of the name of Jesus. And at that name… Well, you know the rest, right? Google it if you need to. That at that name, every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess, every demonic entity shall flee, every spirit of fear and discouragement and dismay, every chaotic situation will be repelled and will have to bow at that name.
Jesus paid a very high price…
He paid the ultimate price so that we could be invested in the authority of heaven, so that we could use that name, so that we could speak forth the wonderful works of God in the Spirit and in our understanding, so that we could say what the Father is saying today in every situation that goes awry. You can speak order out of chaos. It will obey you. Trust me, it will obey you. Stand your ground. Let the Word be your stabilizing force. Let the Spirit of God rise up in you to stabilize you in this season so that you can say what needs to be said…
Over that financial situation.
Over what you’re seeing in your nation
Over what you’re feeling in your body
It’s okay to feel pain or sense fear or feel alone. It’s okay. It’s okay to be okay. But if you go by faith, you won’t stay that way.
Let pain of contrary circumstances be a prompt to call upon Him…
I endeavor to let the pain of contrary circumstances, contrary feelings be a prompt for me that says, “Lord, I feel weak, but I’m so glad your Word still says, ‘When I am weak, then I enter into the strength of your power.’” There’s been seasons where I’ve been in really difficult straits, and I have said, sometimes getting on my knees, “Lord, I thank you that while I don’t know the way forward and while I feel like I am broken and hurting and facing a dark night of the soul, I’m so glad that I can go by faith today and not by sight. I can live by believing and not seeing nor feeling.”
The Word will go to work for you…
And into the chaos and the brokenness and the uncertainty, I can speak the Word of God. And so can you! And that word brings change. That word will go to work. You may not see it in 24 hours. You may not see it in a week. You may not see it in a year. I’ve had things I’ve had to navigate that took several years. But I stayed the course. I kept showing up. I’m sure there were times where I missed the mark, and I said, “Lord, I’m sorry. I’m back at it today. I’m back on your radar screen speaking faith, speaking truth.”
Again, your words of truth from the scriptures and the word He’s spoken to you that’s specific to your life, when you speak it, when you utter it, when you pray it, when you worship it, it attacks the facts of your situation that are wrong and begins to transform them. You can speak healing to pain. Like I said, order to chaos. Wholeness to brokenness. And it will begin to change. You may not see it or feel it or can’t quantify it, but the Bible promises that He’s watching over His Word, and He will perform it.
Change is happening even when you can’t see it…
He’s performing His Word right now in your situation. Don’t get it mixed up just because you can’t see it or can’t measure it with a ruler. Change is happening. Stay the course. Grow not weary in well-doing. For He is faithful who promised you. Let His voice within you be your governing voice, be your guidance today, the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Tune out and look away from all that would distract from Jesus…
But you have to tune out and turn down the loudness of what’s going on around you and even take moments where you just listen in to His Word, and you listen in to the still, small voice of His Spirit on the inside of you. And you’ll hear what He’s saying, and He’s saying, “I’ve got you today. I will follow through on what I said I would do for you. Don’t grow weary. Don’t look to the right or to the left.” Look away, the Bible says, from all that would distract. Unto Jesus, right? Unto Jesus. That’s something we could preach to ourselves on a daily basis.
Sometimes you need a new antenna…
My dad reminded me the other day, he had an antenna that wasn’t working anymore. And he went up there and took the old one down and put a new one up. Sometimes we got to put a new antenna up. Yours is broken, it’s bent. The birds have pooped on it. It doesn’t work anymore. The wires are corroded and cracked, and it’s just not receiving. So somebody needs to pray, “Lord, give me a new spiritual antenna.” Sometimes you just need a new antenna.
Well, guess what?
The Word gives you that antenna. Starts with the Word. If you can’t hear His voice for yourself on the inside, then hear His Word. He and His Word are one. His Words, Jesus said, are spirit and they are life. His Word reveals the will, the way, the character, and the strategy of our Heavenly Father. You don’t need anything more than the Word. You’ve got the Holy Spirit, but He’ll quicken the Word to you. He’ll make it real to you. He’ll make it personable and relevant to where you’re at today.
The Word is our springboard …
As pray-ers, we don’t grow beyond the Word. Pastor Lynne has taught through the years that the Word is our springboard. The Word is our foundation from which we pray, from which we articulate the works of God in our prayer language and in our known language.
So as a pray-er, be stirred up about His Word. Be a student of the Word, first of all. Because that’s where faith emanates from. That’s where you get confidence. That’s when chaos and craziness begins to calm down within you, when you put the Word inside of you. The Word of God. The Word of faith.
If you don’t know what to pray, pray the Word…
“Lord, your Word says when I’m weak, you are strong. I declare I may feel weak, but I receive strength today.” His Word is the roadmap to your future and your success and your new day. It’s going to get you from where you are to where He’s called you to be. So see, say, and pray the Word today.
See, say, and pray. Yes! Life is an open-book test from God’s perspective. He’s not left us alone. We have the Holy Spirit on board and on the inside, and we have the Word in our hands.
Prayed…
We see you high and lifted up over our nation, these United States of America.
Be exalted over Minnesota. In all the chaos, you’re bringing order, transformation, change to Minnesota.
We’ll see the glory of God, the former and the latter streams come together.
We’ll see the healing of the nations.
We stand and agree, Lord, send rain in the time of the latter rain.
Lord, let breakthrough arise. Let glory descend. Let the work of God be brought front and center in this nation, from Washington, DC to San Diego, California, from Miami Beach to Seattle, Washington, from Fargo, North Dakota, to Dallas, Texas, San Antonio, Columbus, Ohio.
And across the border into Toronto once again. Let there be a great work unfolding in Toronto once again.
Let the movement of the Spirit rise and be rekindled and stirred again in Toronto.
We lift up Canada, Lord. We pray let there come a shift and a change today in leadership, in the church in Canada, from the far east, Lord, Ontario and even to the very coast, back out to British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, Father, the Hudson Bay region, Father.
We pray, Father, whether it’s immigrants or longtime residents or those who have been there for hundreds if not thousands of years, we pray, Father, for a sweeping wave across Canada today, Lord.
Let the church arise in Canada in Jesus’ name, not to be silent any longer, even as they just passed a bill recently that certain speech from the Bible and certain readings of the Bible is now against the law. God forbid. May that be overturned, we pray.
Let the church arise and be vocal and take their place in Canada from province to province and city to city. From north to south and east to west, let there be a wave of glory that has mercy to save and redeem and transform that land in Jesus’ name.
But we pray and unite together as a family, as a church, Lord, may our greatest export be yet to come. May our greatest export be the glory of God, be the Gospel, in new ways and new degrees.
Let the glory and the works of God be exported across this globe in new and relevant ways.
Lord, gain entrance into notable events and certain things that seem secular only.
The Lord will take over that industry, in that area of research and development.
Yes, even in rocketry.
Yes, in social media.
Yes, in high finance.
Yes, in the banking realm.
Yes, in athletics and entertainment.
Oh, we pray for a continued rising and changing in Hollywood. But we pray for a new to come that supports and perpetuates and propagates and preaches the Gospel.
For we declare today, Lord, there is coming a shift. It’s happening right now. There are tremors now happening. Tremors, tremors, tremors are happening. There’s a moving and a shaking and even an obliteration of the old now, moving out, moving out, moving out. A pruning in Jesus’ name, a removing in Jesus’ name. A removing of the old, an obliterating, yes, of that which stands in the way to make way for what is to come.
Congress, and we pray and we say that’s happening in Congress, in the Senate, in the White House, in the various houses of administration and support on various committees. We declare today, Lord, may the Spirit of God arise and make way, moving out what and who needs to be moved out, to make way for a rising tide of the Spirit of God and new ones called to lead the way. New ones called to step into places of influence and legislation.
For we pray out a way, Father, for the 2026 midterm election. We pray and we agree, Lord, where we don’t see a way, Lord, let there be a way made in the name of Jesus for the shift to come.
Move out of the way every boulder and blockage and stoppage. Move out of the way the old regime, the old ways. The old and decrepit and demonically inspired strategies must go, for we say let there be a plowing now. Let there be a plowing by the angels and the hand of God now to move out, move out, move out, even in governments across the n- the globe, Father. Move out that which stands in the way of the glory of God, and set up nations today.
Oh God, we pray, set up nations, prepare them, align them, position them across this world. In the Southern Hemisphere, in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Far East, right here in the West. Oh, have mercy on Europe we pray today, Lord.
There are many still calling out, still faithful in their place of prayer in the UK, in Germany.
We pray for the glory of God to fall on Germany, on the UK, throughout Europe, down into the Mediterranean, into Africa.
We stand and we pray for those churches that we planted and have partnered with and have association with in Africa. in Western Africa, in Central Africa, way over there in the eastern part. Yes, even in the south today.
We pray, have mercy on the churches throughout Africa today.
Oh, have mercy, Lord, on those who are being persecuted and killed and slaughtered even in mass numbers now in Africa, Lord. Oh, we call for mercy. We call for air support, like the military calls for air support to cover soldiers on the ground. We call for air support, heavenly angel support, heavenly spirit support now incoming into those nations, Lord, that have been suffering from persecution and traumas and death and chaos and lawlessness.
Oh, we pray, Lord, send in a supply. Send in the air support. Send in help, Lord, to bring order, to change what’s going on and set the stage for everything the enemy had initiated to backfire and for glory and revival and salvation and demonstration to now rise up and take a foothold in those nations in the mighty name of Jesus.
