Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Brother DJ…

This morning, I was reading how important prayer is, especially praying Psalm 91. There’s a 9-1-1 prayer. We say Psalm 91. He who dwells in the secret place of the most high God shall abide under the shadow of the almighty God. We are saying that…

The Lord is our refuge.
He’s our fortress.
He’s our redeemer.
He’s our healer.
He’s our provider.
He’s everything!
Who’s worthy like Him?

Was it a coincidence? Or was it the Lord?

I read this morning a testimony about a house of the Lord. There was scheduled a choir practice in the evening around 6:30. There was choir practice in the church. They say we’re going to meet around 6:30 after supper and practice in the evening. Choir practice. So the pastor decided, “You know what, I’ll turn down the furnace. We’ll go and have supper and come back. We’ll meet here and practice music.”

So everybody went home. They decided to come back at 6:30 after supper. There were six or seven people that were supposed to meet at the church. One person’s daughter got a little sick. And she said, “I can’t go right now. I’ll go there later.” And the pastors, something else came up and they get delayed. Then one thing or another, somebody’s car didn’t start. Five or six people all could not make it on time.

But finally the church where the choir practice was at exactly 6:30, the furnace broke. It exploded and whole church got caught on fire. It is coincidence? Nobody got hurt because, why? Somebody’s car didn’t start? A daughter didn’t get dressed up. She wanted to change her dress. And somebody else didn’t show up late because the car didn’t start. This doesn’t happen. Is it a coincidence? All five or six people in choir practice did not show up. And the furnace blew.

How’d that happen?

Nobody got hurt because they were dwelling in the secret place of the most high God, abiding under the shadow of the almighty God. I will say the Lord is our refuge. He commanded His angels concerning them so nobody get hurt. They were all safe.

We’re talking about the house of the Lord. God want us to pray, and Psalm 91 is the one of protection. He shall command His angels concerning us. They will lift us up so we will not dash our foot against the stone. The prayer of the righteous man availeth much!

The Lord caused Jacob to prosper…

We remember how Jacob worked for his father-in-law for 14 years. After 14 years, he asked his father-in-law, “Hey, I want to leave now. I want my wages. I want to leave.” He said, “Please don’t leave. Please don’t leave. We know you’re anointed man of God. Since you’ve been here, I’ve been prospering.” But he had cheated Jacob so many times. He said, “No, I want to leave.”

We’re talking about the way we look at things. The Lord said, “Above all I desire that you prosper and be in good health as your soul prosper.” The mind and the heart prosper.

So Jacob asked Laban, his father-in-law, “Give me my wages.” He heard from the Lord the night before on what to ask, how to ask. He went to Leban, “I want my money.” Laban said, “What do you want?” He said, “Well, give me the speckled sheep and goats.” He asked the right thing because he had only a few because in that area, they don’t have any speckled or brown goats and sheep. But he was smart. He only asked for a few things. If he asked for too much, Leban would have said “no.”

He was a smart, intelligent man. He heard from the Lord on what to ask and how to ask. So he asked him, “Give me the brown and speckled ones. In that area, there were very few you can find because they were either white or plain colors. Laban said, “Go ahead.” He agreed to it because there was very few. But the Lord gave Jacob a dream on how to multiply. So he took sticks. And he made it white and put them by the streams. So whenever those sheep and goats come to drink, they would mate and so forth. And then they multiplied. And the Bible say the man become very rich, very wealthy.

But he heard from the Lord what to do, what to ask. He asked the right thing. Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you’ll find it. And He will prosper you.

So this morning in a little bit, we’re going to be praying. It doesn’t make a difference how old you are. God can give us one idea and one dream. He said, “I will open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that you don’t have enough room to contain it. You’ll give it away.”

He wants to work through us, in us like He did with Jacob. He gave Jacob an idea how to multiply the sheep and goats. “How long?” he asked. “How long do I sit here and do nothing?”

The man waiting at the pool…

I was reading this morning, about the lame man sitting by the pool. The Bible say he was sick there for 38 years. And Jesus passed by and asked the man, “How long have you been here?”

The answer was 38 years.

“Do you want to get well?” Of course, he wants to get well. He said, “Oh, you know what? Nobody helps me. Whenever the water is stirred, everybody else goes ahead of me. I have no one to help me into the pool.”

Jesus said, “Do you want to get well? In two more years, you’ll be a 40 years old. You’ve been sitting here for 38 years. Do you want to get well? Then get up.” Two years you’ll be 40; 38 years you’ve been waiting here.

He said, “I am the way, I’m the life and the resurrection. Get up and walk!”

How long we wait. He said “Get up and start doing things.” Depart from me. I do not know you because you did nothing what I asked you to do. What are you supposed to do?

The parable of talents…

You remember the man that the master gave him talents? Whatever it was. Two out of them quickly… The Bible said they immediately went out, started a business, selling and buying. Both of them. One doubled his talents. And the Lord said, “Here’s your reward.” But the third one, the one that did nothing. The Lord said, “You wicked, lazy servant. At least you should put the talent in the bank so I could get some money out of this.”

How long, He asked, are you going to wait here? Get up and walk. Be healed. Get up and move on. He said, “But nobody has helped me.” Jesus said, “I am the resurrection. I am the life. I am the way and the truth.”
