Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist

Brother DJ…

In those days, Hezekiah become very sick. God sent a prophet and he told Hezekiah “You’re going to die.” Hezekiah started seeking the Lord. The Lord said to the prophet to “Go back and tell him I’m going to give 15 more years added to his life.” He gave him a prescription. I think it was fig leaves or something. Boil them and drink. While we are praying, seeking the Lord speaking in tongue, he said do this and do that. He might say to you, “Go walking and drink lots of water.” Answers are coming. Eat this. Don’t eat that. Eat donuts or don’t eat donuts. Drink that. Walk. Do something.

Stretch forth your hand…

One time, I was watching television. I didn’t know about the faith yet. I saw a man praying. He said, “You are sick. You have this pain, this disease going on.” And I thought he was talking to me. And he was! He said, “Stretch your hand toward television. I’m going to pray for you and God will heal you.” And I had really bad sports knee accident at age 32 in Arizona. And as I was watching him, he said, “Stretch your hand.” I’m sure he was speaking to hundreds of thousands of people, millions even, through the television. He said, “Stretch your hand toward me.” And I said, “Okay. I’ll stretch my hand.” Not knowing much. I stretched my hand. Then he said, “Not only stretch your hand, put your hand on the television where my hands are.” I’m like, “Well, nobody’s around me. I’m not going to be embarrassed.” So I put both my hands on the television. He started praying. He said, “In the name of Jesus, be healed from this disease.” He said, “Be healed in your legs.” I had surgery set up for Friday. On that Friday, I went to the doctor. He examined me. He said, “There is no fluid. We can’t do anything. Come back again if the fluid comes back.” It was shattered because it was sports injury. Back then, I used to play basketball. So that was the last time I had pain in my knees. By His stripes … from the television, He sent His Word and He healed me that day! Even though I was a sinner, Christ died for me.

Sister Cindy…

Father, you created us as a living body of believers. And your command was that we would love you and that we would love those in your body as you have loved us. So we can only do that, Father, by keeping our eyes on you, seeing how you see it. In the world there is a sway. But in you, Father, your sway, your breath, you’re living, breathing through our bodies together. Its takes us up higher where we can see, as you see the very small things that we made in our eyes once we made them so big. They seem so small now.

So we thank you, Father, that in your kindness… it was your kind intent to bring us back to where we belong, abiding in you, where we were always meant to exist. Death is just separation from you. Thank you, Lord, that you came to bring us back to yourself and you gave us your mind. You shed your love abroad in our heart, and together we just focus on you and focus on our brothers and sisters and the commission that you have given us to bring more into the body, to bring more into the light and the freedom through Jesus.

He’s commissioned us to do exploits…

In your name, you’ve commissioned us to go out and do great exploits, to tear down those gates of hell that would confine people to darkness. Because nobody is going to choose to go to hell in the light. So we thank you, Father, that you’ve given us power in your name to break down those gates and boldness in our heart through your love and faith deposits that we exercise and grow in every day. To be bold, not to draw back, that there would be no intimidation.

It’s a spirit of fear, which you have not given us. Thank you, Father, that you have great plans for us. You are a great planner. We take confidence in that you know all things. We see through a glass darkly. But as we walk, our steps go brighter. So we keep walking and experiencing those things that shake off the world, the world’s way. It becomes less and less of a hold on us. Because we’re walking in the unforced rhythms of grace, and we’re seeing supernatural things.

Hezekiah got real in his heart…

I think that’s interesting because it wasn’t just a natural thing. Hezekiah put his face to the wall, and he got really real about his heart. And he cried out to the Lord for salvation. And Jesus said, “Come unto Me all you who are burdened and heavy laden.” And He will by no means reject you. So Hezekiah was given 15 more years and instructions in a natural sense. So there was nothing hidden and the heart of Hezekiah was cleansed. And God gave him a simple, supernatural answer. Because what? It came by the Rhema of the Spirit.

He’s giving us wisdom that is meant to help others, help ourselves. But most of all, to point others and ourselves continually to Him. We don’t make anything an idol.

We thank you, Father, for the good things that you have placed in our lives, but we don’t hold onto them. We just enjoy every day. For He said, “I’ve come to give you life that you might have it and enjoy it.” I thank you for all the good things that you’ve prepared for us today. Things for our enjoyment, things that feed us, things of real value and worth, things that are making us wealthy. For He said, “Wealth and riches are in your house to establish His covenant upon the earth.

Peter said out of his heart, You are the Christ…

And in all the earth, Lord, we are disseminators of your goodness, the things that we are given by your precious Spirit through the wisdom of God to bless others. And our path that is ordered with many good works, seeing people freed from bondages of darkness because He asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” And there was various different answers. But he asked Peter, “Who do you say I am?” He said by the Spirit of God, speaking out not from his head, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And He said, “Peter, this was not revealed to you by man, but by God. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church.” And they just happened to be in a place that was called the gates of hell. And it was a pagan kind of area where there was a lot of demon worship.

So Jesus liked to teach by precept and example. He was saying, “Get a higher view of what I’m doing. I’m calling and commissioning you to go out and do great exploits. And in my name, who do men say I am? It doesn’t matter. God is speaking to your heart, and He’s given you orders for the day. And everything that you do, you do great exploits. And God could be that day, Jesus Jehovah Rahah, my healer. And so you minister healing, you minister deliverance, you minister in His name.

Psalm 91 talks about the name of God…

It came up in my heart and I’m trying to remember. He says, I will… How does it go, DJ? In Psalm 91 where it says they shall know my name. Do you remember? I’m just going to pray in the Spirit. Amanda, do you have it? Amanda, come up here.

Amanda…

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and shew him my salvation.”

Amanda shared…

You know that last part of that verse where you can see all three parts of the Lord. It said with long life. Jesus dying, giving us salvation, presented us with that eternal life. So then you have where He said He will satisfy you. Wow! What are we satisfied by? Living waters. We are fed by the Word. We are watered by the Word. Here you have the Word of God that is flowing through you. Then you also see… show you your salvation. Wow!

You know what? God gave us His salvation because He didn’t want to be in heaven without us. We are to be with Him. These are gifts that He has given us. These are gifts and we need to rejoice. Rejoice because each and every day these gifts are given, they’re new every day and they’re given to us freely. Hallelujah.

I love the word satisfied. There’s going to come times when you’re frustrated, life happens. But He’s the God who satisfies and we were never meant to abide in stressful conditions. So He said that He is our peace that passes all understanding.

I had a very stressful childhood, a very stressful upbringing. And I get to the point where it’s just the same thing, but it just in a different variety or shade in a different day. And I asked the Lord, “Well, either your Word is true…” The doctor Carolyn Leaf said something. I’ve listened to a lot of people preach. I’ve listened to a lot of people say a lot of good things. But it’s those things that I remember those little islands that are for me. God highlights and I meditate on those. And they will visit me all throughout my life. So those are prophetic words for me. You know, you sit in a congregation and you hear the same message that everybody else does, but you walk out of there and you try to share what God said to you. And they’re like, “That’s nice, but I heard this.”

So we all have something God gives us. He’s the voice of many waters and He’s watering us all.

So Carolyn Leaf said, our cells are not designed to handle stress. It’s very destructive to our body and our brain. But our cells were designed by the great Creator to feed on love.

And so I made a little petition to the Lord and I said, “You created me and you made it so that I am to feed on love and I’m not meant to abide in this place of stress continually every day, year after year.” So I entered into a “what are we going to do about that?” And I think that fasting is just doing that. It’s just setting a boundary of time and space where you stop doing the things that you know are not serving you. I set a mark and I said, “I’m not going to do certain thing for a certain amount of time.” And I say, “I’m going to wait to see how you move in that time.” And I put a little header over it and I say, “Satisfaction.” How are you going to do this? Because you said that you’re the God who satisfies. You’re the God who didn’t create me to handle or to retain stress. How do I let go of this awful, vicious cycle?”

So my boundaries was a walk. And I just said, “I will take one hour out of the day and we’re going to work this through. But at the end of that hour, I fully expect to be satisfied. Otherwise, you’re not the God that satisfies and I’m showing up and we do this dance. I move, then you move.”

And I’m not presumptuous. Okay, so I’ve been praying and seeking God for like three decades. So I should be seeing fruit in this area, Lord. I need help. I just get very, very humble, and I refuse to react the way… I get sober, circumspect, morally alert. I wake up and I ask the Lord for grace. I ask the Lord for mercy that I might find grace in this area. So He is the God who satisfies. And I was amazed every time I would finish that walk. Maybe my circumstances hadn’t changed, but something inside changed and it was supernatural.

I mean there’s a lot of benefit to walking. In Genesis, He walked with Adam in the cool of the day, which I’m meditating about because that was before the fall and he walked and there was a cool breeze that refreshed. So was it hot the rest of the day? You know, I don’t know. Was there things that needed to get worked out? I know his mission was to go to that tree of life.

So Father, we endeavor to just partake of your fruit and bury your fruit. Not reacting and being just like the rest of the world and thinking that that’s going to bring some good results. But, Father, we thank you that we’re learning more and more about what it is all about and that’s grace of God. Those that abide under the shadow of the almighty will say of their Lord….
