Prayer Summary for 9.16.14

Scriptural Focus…

(5) “The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot. (6) The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage. (7) I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. (8) I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. (9) Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety” (Psalm 16:5–9 Amp.).

“The wise counsel GOD gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with GOD; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go” (Psalms 16:7–8 Amp.).

“Moses said, “If your presence doesn’t take the lead here, call this trip off right now. How else will it be known that you’re with me in this, with me and your people? Are you traveling with us or not? How else will we know that we’re special, I and your people, among all other people on this planet Earth?” (Exodus 33:15 The Message).

“The wise counsel GOD gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with GOD; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go” (Psalms 16:8 The Message).

“Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of GOD for the rest of my life” (Psalms 26:6 The Message).

(1) “The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. (2) He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. (3) He refreshes and restores my life (myself); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. (4) Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. (5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. (6) Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place” (Psalm 23:1–6 (Amp.).

Scriptural Focus…

(1) “The Lord is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (4) One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. (6) And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. (7) Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me! (8) You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word]. (13) [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living! (14) Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord” (Psalm 27: 1,4,6,7,13 Amp.).

(1) “Ascribe to the Lord, O sons of the mighty, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. (3) The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon many (great) waters. (4) The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty” (Psalm 30:1 Amp.).

(1) “I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. (2) O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me. (3) O Lord, You have brought my life up from Sheol (the place of the dead); You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit (the grave). (4) Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (5) For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 29:1–5 Amp.).

(18) “Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness, (19) To deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. (20) Our inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield. (21) For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy name. (22) Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You” (Psalm 33:18–22 Amp.).

(1) “God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. (10) 10 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! (11) The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” (Psalms 46:1,10–11 (Amp.).
