Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Sister Jeannie…

Good morning. Thank you for coming to prayer this morning. One of my favorite things about coming to corporate prayer is I get to hang out with the most powerful people on earth. And you don’t really always know that. So I just thought I’d remind you.

So there are a lot of things that Holy Spirit was talking with my husband and I about regarding prayer today. And so I’m just thanking him right now.

Prayer…

Father, I thank you that I’m articulate. And that things come out and I speak in the way that you would have me represent what it is you want to say to us today. And we thank you for your plan. We thank you for your plan of victory is never changed. And, Father, what you have for us today is eternal and it’s about the kingdom. We’ll lay a foundation and then we’ll pray.

When people seek truth, they turn to Jesus…

I was watching a podcast with Tucker Carlson and Sean Ryan, and both of them are fairly new believers. And one thing I’ve noticed is when people seek truth, they end up running into Jesus. Have you noticed that? I’ve especially noticed it lately. And a lot lately. The real curious ones always end up running right into them because they’re truth seekers.

“Do you have any hope?”

And they were talking about the condition of the world, the condition of our country, victories we’ve had, what’s still going on. And Tucker asked Sean, “Do you have any hope?” And he said without any hesitation… Now I might get this… It’s not exact, but basically he inferred, “Not really.” And so my first thought was, “Wow!” And these guys have credibility. And my second thought was. He doesn’t understand the kingdom.

Wherever we go, the kingdom goes with us…

Throughout history from the beginning of time, the Word says that God created the earth in the middle of darkness. With His Word. And it says that wherever we go, the kingdom goes. But without that awareness and without putting legs to it, we’re not going to demonstrate the kingdom.

And so a lot of what we’re going to be kind of talking about today and then praying out today is a preparation for what is upon us, which has already begun. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are little fires all throughout Living Word. Things ready to ignite. Breakthrough about to happen in such a tremendous way that we will have to adjust to it.

Breakthrough has growing pains…

And many times when we talk about breakthrough, we forget about the growing pains. And we can prepare for it. Although what’s coming is so great, even Jesus had to lean into the Father to finish the work He was called to do right up till the end.

It’s not a sin to want to give up…

I was reading about Gethsemane again today. And we’ve referenced this before that Jesus wanted to give up at the end, meaning it’s not a sin to want to give up. The “giving up” is the sin. But what I had missed was three different times He asked the Father, “Are you sure there’s not another way?” That is one of the most encouraging things I’ve ever heard myself say, let alone anyone else. Jesus! Think about it. He walked around for 33 years. And the last three years we know about notable miracles. Massive, massive revival and awakening everywhere He went. And then when it came time to do the one thing He was called to do… three times He said, “I don’t want to do it.” And then He said, “But I will, if it’s what you want.”

And then He did it again!

And He went to check out what the disciples were doing. His buddies completely let Him down. They fell asleep when it was the most crucial moment… of the entire world, the entire universe. And He came back and said, “Hey God, I really don’t want to do this. Are you sure there’s no other way?”

And then it said He went away and came back and He had the same conversation with His Father. “There’s got to be another way.”

Jesus didn’t give up and we shouldn’t either…

So fun word for us today, because Jesus wanted to give up and didn’t. We don’t get to give up either! Because the Greater One that lives in you was tempted with giving up. And He overcame it. And so we can too.

Dutch Sheets…

I’m going to start out with Dutch Sheets “Give Him 15.” May 21st. I’m going to read the opener and then kind of toward the end, and then we’re going to get in the Word a little bit unless Holy Spirit changes it up. And then we’re going to declare and pray some things out.

Notable Miracles That Bring Awakening…

He starts out with, “We are continuing on the topic of notable miracles today, because I believe Holy Spirit is renewing our minds when it comes to the topic of miracles, signs, and wonders.”

He’s renewing our minds. Why would He be doing that? Because it’s upon us.

“The supernatural demonstration of Jesus’ kingdom. Is this what we’ve been contending for all along? Have we seen little glimmers of it in our own lives and in others and in other countries. But it is upon us now. These are not secondary matters that should be subjects of controversy, even though they always will be. Even when Jesus walked here on the earth.

I mean, hello? He might as well have had the leather jacket with the labels on the back. Here comes controversy. I mean, that was Jesus. Still is today.

“But essential non-negotiable expressions of faith.” In other words, notable miracles are miracles only God can do and everybody knows it. That’s what’s upon us. In the middle of Minnesota, that just passed a law that says it’s okay for a woman to be topless. In fact, if we don’t like it, we’re discriminating against her. That’s what’s upon Minnesota!

Did you know… I didn’t think I was going to go here. So last time Michelle Bachman was here to speak at the chapel, she started talking about Minnesota. And on the inside I was thinking, “You better recover.” Because you know, when you’re so aware of the evil that’s going on, and when you’re in her position, you’re going to talk about it, especially when you’re around praying people. But she did.

Here’s what she said…

“You know, the Lord talked to me and said ‘You need to repent for what you’re saying about Minnesota.’ And then she said, Many of the noted people of God that she’s been in circles with have said ‘Minnesota has the best pray-ers that they love. The spiritual attitude and cadence in Minnesota.”

Now, would that be happening just so we can give a little speech and nothing change? No! What is upon us will require us to adjust because it’s that great.

In other words, notable miracles are miracles only God can do and everybody knows it. God actions on earth that can’t be denied. Here at Living Word—God actions at Living Word that cannot be denied. They are signs that say “God did that.” A person running and jumping after being lame for 40 years is a notable sign. Holy Spirit is saying to us, “We are now moving into days when notable miracles will increase through Kingdom Ecclesia. That’s the remnant. They’re flowing into towns, cities, regions, states, nations, and religions. People will be forced to admit that God performed them.

Do we see that with Tucker Carlson, Sean Ryan, other truth seekers, other people curious about what’s really happening? Yes. In fact, what very often comes out of Tucker’s mouth is this realization that the Christians are the solid foundation.

He’s even inferred that we’re kind of the boss. We’re kind of the ones that are holding it together. We have a mandate and really it’s the only way to have any fun, quite frankly. If you really want to enjoy your life, start learning about who you are in Him and exercise your authority. Okay?

Prayed…

Father, I thank you for your plan at Living Word Christian Center. I thank you for your plan in the church in Minnesota. I thank you for your plan for each individual within the sound of my voice right now. And, God, I thank you that you pierce our hearts today, especially mine. Because if anyone needs to hear what I’m about to say, it’s me. And so, Father, I thank you so much for what you’re doing, what you’re about to do and with every breath we are in greater agreement with you.

“How do we pray?”

Isn’t it amazing that when the disciples said, “How do we pray?” Jesus talked about the kingdom. It must be the whole thing. It’s the reason why when He wanted to give up three times, He leaned in. And when it didn’t, He didn’t even look like a man. You know that. The Word says He didn’t even have the form of a man. That is how decimated He was.

When a situation looks decimated, when it looks like you can’t even recognize it anymore. Even you, if you’re wondering about yourself, Jesus finished it. Think about that. Those areas where it looks like there’s no way… notable miracle! Only God could do it.

And Jesus did it as a man! Rightly related to God. What a gift we have. We have such a gift.

So what I’m going to share today and where we’re going to be going, kind of comes from my own personal experience as of late. So the end of the year, my husband and I experienced a breakthrough that we didn’t even… I think we only prayed for it in our prayer language. And it was just like completely out of the blue and wild. Everyone around us that we shared it with, because I still haven’t shared it with everyone. Everyone was just like, “That’s so great!” Right? Guess what? That, “that’s so great” required me to change. I had to. And I still am. I had to adjust to this amazing thing that God did.

We’re going to have to adjust to the breakthrough…

It’s like what is upon us is going to require us to adjust. All of a sudden with this promise in front of me, these giants started like popping up. Giants didn’t even know we’re there. Giants of fear, sheer terror, like just weird emotions, all these things. And it was up to me to change. I could either choose to avoid it, or I could choose to walk into that promise. But in order for me to walk into the promise, I had to face giants. And the more I did that, now they are becoming bread for me. Now I’m thinking, “Oh, you know what? This is kind of fun. Now I know what I’m doing. Okay. I conquered that. I dealt with that fear.”

God brings people to help…

But here’s what’s so great about it. God brought people to help. He never leaves us without help. We talk a lot about faith. We talk a lot about the Word. That’s the whole point. But there’s also the soberness with joy of preparation for what’s upon us. In fact, I think I might have even walked away from that promise that showed up if I hadn’t been walking with God as long as I had. It might have been too much for me. You might be thinking, “What are you talking about?” Well, it’s in the Word everywhere. So that’s what we’re going to talk about now.

“What do you mean, Jeannie?”

So, even as I say this, I can feel people saying, “Well, what do you mean, Jeanie? How could when things happen that you’ve been praying for forever, how could they possibly require something of you?” Right? Won’t you just be joyful and happy? That’s what I thought too until I experienced this.

Okay, here we go.

Exodus 13:17. This is about the Egyptians. The Israelites and God’s people. “When Pharaoh let the people go, God led them not by the way of the land of the Philistines where there were giants. Although He was nearer for God said, Lest the people change their purpose when they see war and return to Egypt.”

That is not you. And that is not me. I’m going to say it again. When Pharaoh let the people go, God led them not by the way of the land of the Philistines, although it was nearer. He didn’t lead them directly to the promise. Why would He do that? Why wouldn’t He just take them there right away? Right now?

For God said, “Lest they change their purpose when they see war and go back to their old ways and long for the way it was.”

I would propose to you that God knew their hearts, which we already know that, but that these people only wanted relief. They weren’t thinking about victory. They weren’t thinking about God’s plan. They had been in slavery for so long that really, they just wanted relief.

And I’ve been there. When you’re in a mindset of “I just want relief, I just want this much money. I just want to be healed, whatever.” When you’re in that mindset, once you get it, you can be tempted to relax your hold on God’s purpose in your life.

Is any of this making sense? Because now I’ve got an awesome example of what happens on the other side of this. So this is in Mark 9:17. And one in the throng replied to Jesus. So this man addressed Him as teacher and he said, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a dumb spirit. And whenever it lays hold of him so as to make him its own, it dashes him down and convulses him. And he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and he falls into a motionless stupor and is wasting away.”

Is that what it feels like sometimes when you look at the conditions of the world in Minnesota?

“I asked your disciples to drive it out and they were not able to do it.” And He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I have to deal with you? Bring him to Me.” So they brought the boy to Him. Jesus asked the father, “How long has he had this?” And he answered, “From the time he was a little boy.”

Now that really stands out to me because Jesus knew how long this has been happening. So why would He ask the man that question? Even the woman with the issue of blood, the Word says that she had had it for 12 years. But we don’t know that because Jesus asked her. We know that because that’s what the Word says. In this notable miracle, where you knew it was God. Jesus asked him, “How long has this been going on?”

I believe part of it was because this kid would have like seizure upon seizure, foaming at the mouth. And the entire crowd was watching. It was dramatic what the enemy was doing, and they were captivated by what the enemy was doing. Get it? And Jesus asked, “How long has this been going on?” And he said, “It’s been going on from the time he was tiny.” Jesus was encouraging them. “Look, even things that have been going on a long time, even things that the enemy has been doing for a long time that you’ve been enamored by, that you’ve had your mind on, I’m about to change it.”

And he said “From the time he was a little boy. And it has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water, intending to kill him.” But it was never able to kill him, was it? “But if you can do anything, have pity on us and help us.”

I love his honesty with Jesus. If you can do anything, just have mercy on us. Just give us relief. Right? And Jesus said, “You say to me, if you can do anything, all things are possible to him who believes.” And then I love this part. “At once, the father of the boy gave an eager, piercing, inarticulate cry with tears. And he said, “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”

So all at once, he was convicted in his heart because Jesus said, “If you believe, partner with Me in your belief and we’ll get this thing done.” And he had a repentant heart before the Father. And crying with tears, piercing and inarticulate. And he said, “I believe. Help my unbelief.”

Just like Jesus, when He wanted to give up. “God, is there another way?” The Israelites, they were just mad, complaining and decided God owed them. When Jesus noticed that a crowd of people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit saying to it, “You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you to come out of him and never go into him again.”

So let’s just set this up for a minute. The crowd is around. Everyone is witnessing what the enemy is doing. Everyone. They’re all captivated by what the enemy is doing. Media. The news. Captivated.

And then the man says, “Just give me relief. Just have mercy on me.” And Jesus changes the dialogue to, “If you can believe, we can do way more than give you relief. This kid can have a purpose. He can walk free.” And immediately the father’s heart is pierced and he repents for his unbelief and then asked Jesus for help.

That’s how you know there was humility there. You know the scripture when it says, God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. God did not resist Jesus when Jesus was saying “There’s got to be another way.” He stayed in the conversation with Jesus to get Him to a place of resolve so He could say “It is finished.”

He does that with us…

When we stay in the conversation with Jesus, when we stay humble, when we continue to talk to Him about what’s going on, when we pour our heart out to Him and we just get honest, Holy Spirit gave that guy the ability to repent. You know it was repentance because he asked Jesus for help. He went from crying about what was happening with his son to being convicted in his heart of, “Oh my gosh, Jesus, I need to understand and know you more. Help me.” And what happened? Jesus said, “Of course I’ll help you.” And He healed the boy.

This is how we prepare for breakthrough. That’s how that man prepared for breakthrough. That’s how Jesus prepared for breakthrough. We stay close to the Father’s heart. We stay honest.
