Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Well, we are live once again from the Living Word chapel in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. My name is Ken Olson and we are going to pray this morning. Can we do that? It is Thursday, the 21st of March. I hope you all are doing well.

This morning, I thought I would start by sharing a couple of thoughts. I wanted to talk briefly about the importance of taking dominion in our garden. And, I’ve been going through this book by Patsy Cameneti called “For Such a Time as This: Praying in the Last Days.” And I thought maybe I would begin by prompting your thinking and your heart by sharing just a few excerpts in regard to spiritual authority. For some of us, it’s not a new concept or a new truth. For others, maybe it is a little bit. But regardless, it’s important that we keep that understanding stirred up in us, because that’s one of our chief responsibilities as followers of Jesus, as ambassadors for God in the earth is to resist the enemy.

Romans 5:17…

In fact, let me just share with you a couple of passages that are probably familiar to all of us. In Romans 5:17, it states, “For if by the one man’s offense,” that would be Adam, “death reigned,” or death, the curse, and all things evil got entrance into the earth and into the human experience. That’s where it happened, right? “Through one,” through Adam,” much more…” Somebody say “much more.” “Those who receive abundance of grace…” Uh, newsflash! You’ve received an abundance of grace, “and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through one Jesus Christ.”
“Well, Ken, I don’t really feel like I’m reigning a whole lot right now. I feel like it’s raining on me.”
Well, that may be, but stay tuned. Stay connected this morning because God wants us to reign. Because the truth of the matter is, from a biblical perspective, we have received an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness that we might reign, that we might rule, that we might walk in our vocation, which is spiritual dominion.

Spiritual authority is simply defined as “the right to rule within a given domain.” And your domain begins with your household, your life, your body, your finances, et cetera.”

Matthew 28:18…

Let’s go over to Matthew 28:18. It says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore, and make disciples of the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

I read that passage because inherent in that passage is the idea that God, through Jesus, is transmitting or transferring all authority in heaven and earth to the church. While Adam lost it, Jesus obtained it and restored it back to us—spiritual authority, the right to rule within our given domain, the right to reign in life through Jesus Christ.

Luke 10:19…

Then in Luke 10:19. Actually, I’m going to start it in verse 17. It says, “Then the 70 returned saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. And He said to them, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” In other words, he was cast down from his original state or position. And cast down like lightning. So it happened pretty quick. And it also implies that he’s in the earth realm. Of course, the Bible refers to him as the god of this world. In other words, he’s controlling many of the world’s systems except where the church inserts itself. You and I, and us collectively to disrupt what the enemy is doing. Because the enemy must relent where we take ground, where we resist him.

So, Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” That’s a good word to hold close to your heart in this hour. Despite what comes or what Antichrist spirit rises in the earth, we have the upper hand.

Things have been rigged in our favor…

The truth of the matter is… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Things have been rigged in our favor because of our righteousness, because of our ability to use the name of Jesus. Because of this delegated authority, that badge of authority that you presently have and what may not be visible from the natural perspective in the spirit dimension, they recognize the “lit up ones.” They recognize the ones robed in righteousness. They recognize the Devil and all that fell with him and were cast into the earth for a period of time, they recognize the church. That we’re part of Christ. We’re the body of Christ, right? Isn’t that what we profess ourselves to be? Isn’t that what the Word says?

Then in James 4…

This is going to help somebody this morning, by the way. Even if you’ve heard these… we’ve got to keep these things stirred up in our hearts because if there ever was an hour that we are to stand up and to take our position and be accounted for, it’s now! And even in just little ways… in your thinking, with symptoms in your body, with insufficiency, with division and challenges in your home with your family, your relationships. We war not against flesh and blood, but against those principalities and those powers and those forces of darkness that seek to create problems and to harass and to insinuate things to try to get individuals to get you and I to believe a falsehood, or a lie.

The Devil is the father of all lies…

The Bible says the Devil is the father of lies. That’s all he knows to do, is to deceive and lie. And if he can dupe us in some way into believing or agreeing even with our words, in other words, taking a thought. The Bible says don’t take a thought saying… If he can do that, then he can find an entrance point into our lives.

So that’s a good challenge for us to ask the Holy Spirit. “Lord, teach and instruct us, school us in the use of our language and our words. Because words give entrance to the enemy, or they give entrance to God the Holy Spirit in our lives. Words work for you or they can work against you. Words are keys, of course, in prayer. Words release spiritual authority.

So, I challenge you in that today…

This is an answer for someone. Even in the most mundane moments and challenges that we face, the Holy Spirit is on the inside. There’s an unction, the Bible promises us, a teacher within us who is able to show us and lead us in all things. Even where we go off track with our words or in our thinking, the Holy Spirit wants to steer us back. He is the consummate strategist and will show us where we need to insert ourselves and disrupt the enemy forces and disrupt a thought that’s been maybe harassing and coming against you. We’re to take authority over those things. Take captive every thought, right? And lead it to the obedience of Christ. Hallelujah.

As I said yesterday, the enemy’s playing for keeps. So we ought to as well. So I’m praying for answers for you this morning that God is just downloading some strategies and some keys that are going to help you to not necessarily do your life working harder. I’m not saying we shouldn’t work hard, but smarter as the saying goes. Glory to God.

He wants us to reign…

He wants us to reign as we just read in Romans 5:17. Not just “remain,” but to “reign.” That means to function from a high estate with boldness and confidence and an understanding of whose we are and in whom we serve, that we are adopted into and a part of a household of faith whose head and chief steward is Jesus. We follow in His lineage, in His footsteps. And He left us a path to follow, a narrative to understand how to do life. Jesus seemed to be very proud by saying, “I don’t say anything unless I hear the Father say it within me. And I don’t do anything unless I see the Father doing it first.” Amen!

That’s why it’s so key that we turn ourselves into Him, so key that we surrender to Him. So key that we be present enough in our day-to-day lives, that we invite the Holy Spirit to function in us. He has a ministry He wants to open up within us. He has a ministry He wants to discharge or bring about. And that ministry is counsel and wisdom. That ministry is to show us what we’re to do, to lead us in what we’re to say. Because those little things (things that we think are little) are actually big things in the spiritual dimension. Because they become keys. They become weapons in our hands to bind and to loose in the spiritual dimension. And then over the course of time, what we do in the spiritual dimension is realize in the natural dimension by change and lives that are set free and our own soul that rises and flourishes and flows in a good way.

So let me read James 4:6.

“But he [God] gives more grace. Therefore, he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” That’s probably why Heidi Baker says, “Go low,” right? Be humble. Be teachable. Let’s submit to one another. In verse seven, it says, “Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.” I like that. He will flee from you!

Patsy Cameneti’s book, “For Such a Time as This…”

Now, let me just read a few excerpts from Patsy’s book, entitled “For Such a Time as This: Praying in the Last Days.” From chapter three, she talks about having dominion in your garden. And let me just start out by reading, she says…

“The Bible is full of promises and provisions, which are to be appropriated for our lives. Consequently, the extent of many believers’ prayer lives revolves around themselves and people who directly affect them, such as family and friends. However, there is a vast supply of power available for believers to pray effectively in a much larger arena.”

So get ready to be expanded on the inside this morning.

“Unless you are certain that you are authorized to pray in a broader circumference, which includes kings, priests, and other people of authority and influence, you may never be bold enough to extend your prayers to those wider areas. Your authorization and responsibility to pray for the kinds of people required to prepare the way of the Lord must be settled. To do that, we’ll need to go back to the beginning to God’s direction to mankind when he was created. Genesis 1:27 and 28 states this. It says, ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him, male and female, he created them. Then God blessed them and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth. And then the second command is subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

“God created man to have dominion over the earth and over everything He made in it. He also gave man the authority and glory and power to do the job He had commanded them to do.”

Now let me read this excerpt to you here. She goes on to write…

“Although the American people are glad for the President to be honored wherever he goes, they also expect him to work. In fact, if he didn’t work, he would not be tolerated. His position is indeed of great honor. But it is also a position of responsibility. Adam held that kind of position of responsibility in the garden. What went wrong? Genesis 1: 28 says, ‘God commanded Adam to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.’ He also gave Adam a second command, which was to have dominion and subdue the earth and everything in it. There was a third commandment in Genesis 2:17, which was to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When we remember the sins that Adam committed, what do we think of? We always think about the fact that he partook of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But that was actually not the first mistake. The first thing Adam did wrong was not a sin of commission, but of omission. He never would’ve had the problem of eating the fruit if he had taken dominion over the serpent when he came into the garden to temp Eve. If Adam had obeyed the second command God gave him, he would have said to the serpent, ‘Get out of my garden and don’t ever come back here and leave my wife alone.’ But that is not what happened or the way it happened.

“The Bible says Eve was deceived, but Adam was not. He lost his job because he didn’t show up for it.”

Come on now! That’s good preaching right there. Are we showing up for our most fundamental job, which is dominion? In other words, she’s saying…

“Adam disregarded God’s command to him. Because he didn’t dominate the serpent, the god of this world whom he was originally given dominion over, he became dominated. But praise be to God, in Jesus’s work of redemption, Jesus got our job.”

In other words, our dominion back. Let me just continue here.

“The work of redemption was not to give us a better life. It was to give us His life. Jesus, as the second Adam, undid everything.”

Did you hear that?

“Jesus undid everything the first Adam had done. The first Adam was not responsible with the job he had been given. However, the second Adam, Jesus, was responsible to the Father His entire life and did exactly what God told Him to do.

We are the second Adam, Jesus. So we have been given authority to reign in this life through Him. Originally, the first Adam had dominion over the earth. Now as a result of our being born again, dominion has been restored to us. We have seen in Genesis 2:15 that God did not tell Adam to have dominion merely over himself, but he delegated to him dominion over everything that was on the earth.

“Today with dominion restored to us, it is very important for us to be aware of everything that is in our garden because it represents our jurisdiction.”

Now, catch this. Now she’s wanting to expand our hearts and our perspective in regard to prayer and the use of our authority.

She goes on to say…

“First of all, the Devil hopes you don’t find out that you do have authority. Second, if you know you have authority and dominion, he, the Devil that is, hopes you won’t use it. Having authority but not using it will yield the same results as not having any authority at all. The Devil will be able to take territory from you regardless. You not only have the right in Christ but you have a responsibility to simply say, ‘no.’

That’s a word of authority right there. Just no. When you’re tempted in some way, you can say no. I mean, brother Hagin used to always say if God commands you or teaches us something through His Word or promises us something that you know that we can do, like exercise authority, then that must be wholeheartedly true because He would be an unjust God to ask us to do something and not empower us, give us the means to do it. You have the means to say “no.” We have the means to say “no” where the enemy is meddling in political affairs in our nation, meddling in our families.

Prayer demonstration of how to take authority…

Now for anyone who’s experiencing trouble… trouble in your soul… trouble in your mind… trouble in your body… trouble in your finances… trouble in your family. Whatever the case might be, Lord, we come together, united in the name of Jesus, whether there be people online or in this chapel who could say, “Yeah, I’ve been going through some trouble.” Lord, I declare and we agree in Jesus’ name, let that trouble be disrupted. We say, “No devil, no longer, not anymore! We’re not going to put up with that, whether it’s emotional or financial or relational or otherwise. We say “No” in Jesus’ name. We bind you and your attempts to harass, to steal, to kill, destroy, to diminish, to discourage, to disenfranchise. We bind that in the name of Jesus in individual lives, in individual ministries and churches and households and businesses. We bind that in Jesus’ name, every diabolical assignment and thing that has been waging against us of the enemy. We speak to the darkness. We speak to the discouragement in lives and hearts. We speak to sickness. We speak to confusion. We speak to every work of the enemy, and we say, “No, in Jesus’ name, not on our watch. You may not proceed. Stand down. Go in the mighty name of Jesus.”

And, Lord, we just plead the blood of Jesus over each and every one now under the sound of my voice. And, Lord, we pray and agree together, that you would advance, that you would perfect, that you would bring into a flourishing state the work that you have begun in every heart, in every church, and every ministry, and every business represented right now during this prayer time.

Lord, I speak a flourishing finish to what’s going on in their lives and in the call of God concerning them. Lord, may you perfect and bring to a fuller state in the coming days that which you have ordained for them and for us. In Jesus’ name, I speak peace over them. I declare healing power be released into your body. Healing anointing and restoration, be released into your emotions, into your mind, into that particular situation now in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Lord.
