Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader Jeannie…
Good morning! Every time I come into the chapel, I get to be reminded that we have the most powerful people on the planet here. Don’t forget that. Thank you for coming to Corporate Prayer. I’m Jeannie; my husband, Mike, is here.
Prayed…
Holy Spirit, I thank you right now that you speak through us and to us that we have ears to hear and eyes to see.
Father, we thank you for everything that you have spoken over and to our great state, Minnesota.
And I thank you that your plan is being played out before us right here, right now.
Intro remarks…
So let’s just pray in the spirit for a minute here. I have a tidal-wave volcano inside of me and I’m just looking for that kind of calm pathway. And so pray in the spirit with me and Holy Spirit is going to reveal what it is He wants to share today. And we’re going to pray it out and thank God for it.
The sequence of events that happen in Matthew 14…
The one thing that kept coming up before prayer was in Matthew 14; the sequence of events before Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water during the storm. So first, John the Baptist… Think about the sequence of events. So first, John the Baptist was beheaded by decree of the government. Then Jesus got away, and He saw the multitude, had compassion on the multitude, and fed the 5,000. Which also in addition were women and children. Then He got away again to pray. And what I think is hilarious, in the Word, it talks about how He got away to pray. And then He told the disciples, “Get in the boat and go to the other side.” And then while He is out alone with His Father, He sees the disciples in the storm. But He doesn’t go out there right away. He waits until the wee hours of the morning in the middle of the night.
Think about that…
I find that a bit hilarious how Jesus sees them from the hilltop with His Father. He’s with His Father and He sees the disciples in the storm. And He is observing and watching and then waits until the wee hours of the morning in the dark while they have been managing, dealing with in that storm.
The result of taking your eyes off Jesus…
And then He comes walking on the water. And then Peter being Peter says, “Lord, if it’s you call me to walk on the water.” And when he starts to observe the storm, he sinks. The thing that occurs to me, though, he would’ve sunk even if there wasn’t a storm. So it wasn’t the storm that made him sink. It was the fact that he was observing what was around him and took his eyes off Jesus.
Trained to keep your eyes on Jesus…
So if he would’ve been walking just on glass, just the smoothest glass water and taken his eyes off Jesus, he still would’ve sunk. This is part of what Holy Spirit was saying to me. He’s like, “You are in a storm right now and you’re being trained to keep your eyes on Me. What is coming is massive, massive manifested evidence of what I already said about Minnesota, of what I’ve already said about Living Word, of the glorious church. Signs and wonders. Keep your eyes on Me when it gets smooth. When the things that you have been contending for start to manifest. Don’t stop walking on water. Don’t stop keeping your eyes on Me and expecting more and contending for more.”
You know what is happening now…
We’ve said it so many times, and I’m going to say it again. We are not enduring. We are preparing! Crisis is never wasted in the kingdom. He’s preparing us. Think about that. They had just witnessed the feeding of the 5,000, yet the storm affected them. Let’s learn from that.
Holy Spirit, we open ourselves up. We just open the gates of our hearts to be prepared for the manifested evidence of your goodness.
Minnesota: The Threshing Floor…
So, I’m going to read through Dutch Sheets, “Give Him 15” today, which is “Minnesota, the Threshing Floor.” And the threshing floor in the Word… I mean, there’s Gideon who was threshing wheat in the wine press. I mean, nearly every time the threshing floor is emphasized, there is poverty, there’s lack, there’s the need for God’s intervention. And God intervenes.
It’s where we’re at right now…
You can’t help but be freakishly encouraged. You can’t! If you keep your eyes on Him in the storm. It is supernatural to be encouraged right now. That’s the point! Because what is upon us is supernatural. So when the supernatural, the manifested evidence of His goodness comes in, we keep our eyes on Him. And we keep walking in places we were never supposed to walk in the natural. You know that is what is upon you. We are being prepared. As soon as today, as soon as already, as soon as right now for the goodness of God to invade and overtake the glory of God in Minnesota, the threshing floor.
Let it come in King of glory. Let your robe fill the temple. Let your robe fill this state.
When our namesake, St. Paul, took on that name, it was a disaster like it is right now in Minnesota. It’s just too similar. You literally cannot get away from what God is doing. It’s too similar.
Saul believed he was doing what God wanted him to do. Persecuting believers. Going after Christ’s followers, those that say “Jesus is God.” Do you see that similarity? Those committing fraud. And another hilarious similarity is that the church whined about praying for Saul. It didn’t stop what he was doing. It didn’t stop him. Okay, we’re going to get into “Give Him 15,” in a moment here.
Okay, let’s ponder something. So what I’m about to read speaks to the wonders of our God. This was a word that was declared over Minnesota over 20 years ago. We have a God that knows. He knows what’s coming. He knows what He’s doing. And He is just looking for us to know it too. Okay, so this is from Dutch Sheets today.
Dutch Sheets, “Give Him 15…”
“I had not thought about what the Lord said to Minnesota in quite some time. But a few nights ago, Holy Spirit awakened me several times.”
Holy Spirit awakened someone with an international platform several times about Minnesota and reminded him to remind us what He said to Minnesota over 20 years ago. Could it be that it is upon us? The answer is “yes and amen.”
Dutch cont…
“Holy Spirit awakened me several times. Each time as I awakened, a word He released to Minnesota was always in my thoughts. While there in August of 2003, He has prepared the way… the way has been prepared! He said to us that Minnesota was the threshing floor state.”
Mike, could you bring up what we talked about on the way over here real quick?
Mike…
As we were driving over here, one of the things that He showed me and reminded me and maybe other people think about it, but Dutch didn’t necessarily say this. But I just thought it was ironic that if you’re from here or familiar with the history of Minneapolis, it was way back in 1866 that Mill City was founded here in the Twin Cities. It was right on the river in Minneapolis. And it became such a significant role in the grain industry that Minneapolis became known as the flower-milling capital of the world.
Jeannie…
Of the world! Do you see the prophetic? The prophetic, like it’s right there. So from here comes the harvest that goes out into the world. It happened with Mill City. That was something that hadn’t even occurred to us until on the way to lead corporate prayer! Mill City.
And by the way, the prophetic word regarding where 35 W and the river intersect, “out of that area shall come massive revival.” That is where Mill City is located!
I can’t even tell you how much I adore, what a “funster” our God is. In the middle of all this trauma that we are dealing with, He already set it up to give us clues to encourage us. St. Paul being our capital, the name that we chose…
Do you realize we chose St. Paul. We were Pigs Eye. I am going to say it again because we’re going to hear it again. We were Pigs Eye named after a saloon owner blind in one eye. Saul was blinded and then he became Saint Paul. We were blinded and then we chose St. Paul.
Years ago, my sister-in-law went to the cathedral. We hadn’t talked about any of this. She texted me to let me know that the Archbishop of Damascus had come here to pray for Minnesota!
So many prophetic pictures for God to just lay out to us like puzzle pieces, all to create the full picture of glory… of glory… of the glorious church out into the world. And for Him to give another one—Mill City, the threshing floor for the world!
I absolutely love His cleverness. He’s so clever and lighthearted and intense about His plan for Minnesota. And He told us about it years ago before we were even born. Mill City, right where the prophetic word of on the river happened.
Prayed…
We are not a church that whines about these prayer assignments you’ve given us. But we have much anticipation. We’re greatly encouraged how you set it up in the 1800s. Mill City, the threshing floor for the nation. St. Paul wreaking havoc before he was St. Paul. Minister to us, Holy Spirit, the truth of our namesake today. You’re worthy. You’re worthy to believe. Your Word is worthy to declare. The river. George Washington Carver. Mill city. From this state to the nation! Believe it!
Thank you, Father. We receive. You’re so worthy.
Are there even words to describe your glory, God, that is about to hit, that’s rushing in to Minnesota.
God, the kind of glory that cannot be contained; it overflows into the nations.
We engage in the train of your robe, that fills the temple… the threshing floor of your glory.
It cannot be contained.
Even when Gideon hid doing it in the wine press, the threshing couldn’t be contained. Victory couldn’t be contained.
We declare victory. Victory! Victory that overflows. Victory that goes. Victory that cannot be stopped, cannot be held back, cannot be contained.
The victory of the Word of the Lord of hosts, the Lord of angel armies out of this place.
Comments…
You know, we don’t pray to scratch a “religious itch.” We pray to get results. Do you think Jesus went through all of that for us to lack manifested evidence? Oh no… All of us have wanted to give up, but Holy Spirit won’t leave you alone. Hope just keeps rising up.
Think about the Red Sea.
Think about Saul killing all those Christians to the point where they didn’t even want to go pray for him even when an angel said, “Go do it.”
Think about Gideon, being constantly oppressed.
Think about Jesus saying, “There’s got to be another way.”
Think about Peter walking on the water in the storm. It wasn’t the storm that stopped him. It was that he took his eyes off of Jesus.
Think about Mill City.
And the river.
And George Washington Carver’s word.
And Billy Brime’s word.
It’s upon us. Preparation has been happening.
Mike…
Now in Dutch Sheet’s word today, he didn’t mention anything about any correlation between Minneapolis being the grain city of the world. Maybe he knows it, maybe he doesn’t. I don’t know. So I wanted to look up what chaff is. And it says it’s a dry scale-like plant material. This is Wikipedia. They use the words scale-like.” And it talks about … maybe you know where I’m going with this. These things are covered around the actual grain and what is the grain. That’s the part that’s precious. That’s the part that provides bread and life.
Jeannie…
Can I just add something really quick? But stay where you’re at. Remember when Billye Brim said the answer for America is not who’s elected, but an awakening to God. And the Word talks about scales being removed from our eyes. And St. Paul, Pig’s Eye, was blind and to the nations an awakening starting here to the nations. Scales removed chaff.
Mike…
That’s exactly where I was going. Because it talks about in Acts 9, when Saul was blinded. And He told Ananias to go pray for Saul. And it said in verse 18, “And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales.” And he regained sight when he got up. And then when he got up, he immersed… they said that this immersion for purification, which we call baptism. So after these scale-like things that ironically the world calls scale-like is chaff. Or it’s that processing. And it says here, “the process of loosening the chaff from the grain to remove it…” Meaning it has to be removed, otherwise that life cannot become what it’s supposed to be. It’s called threshing. Traditionally done by milling or pounding, separating the remaining chaff is called winnowing. Traditionally done by repeatedly tossing the grain up into a light wind.” I don’t know? Wind of the Holy Spirit… “which gradually blows the lighter chaff away.”
And what do they do with it? Chaff can’t be digested by humans. Isn’t that ironic? The thing that’s covering that thing has to be taken away because otherwise we can’t digest that chaff. It may be fed to livestock, plowed into the soil, or I like this one… It’s burned.
