Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, January 29, 2021

Pastor Ray…

Good morning. Happy Friday! I want to start out with just a couple of things about… If you were not here yesterday, never heard the prophecy from brother Hagan about the days that we’re living in, really the last days. You could go back on GPAN, go to the Living Word website, click prayer and you’ll see how to sign up for it. And it’s a day late, but it’s from the chapel.

The one thing Jesus told him about the days that we’re living in really and how it would be and how the Devil will be ramping around, but he told him, “look not at the thing seen, but the things unseen” and just keep pressing, keep believing, and use our faith. So to me, what’s the opposite of defeat? Victory. Yes. You get a prize. So I want to just go down through a couple of things about victory. I know we can all say some things about what we know victory is and what it would look like. Correct?

Number one: The ultimate in decisive superiority in any battle or contest.
Number two: A success or triumph over an enemy in a battle or in a war.
Number three: Achievement of mastery or success or endeavor against odds or difficulties.
Number four: Beating, defeat, licking, a loss, overthrow, a route, shellacking, whipping

All these things are in victory. And so John 5:4–5  says “For whatever is born of God, overcome the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” And then 2nd Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he’s a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things become new.” First Corinthians 15 says “Death is swallowed up in victory.” So we’ve been given victory over the grave. God’s given us the victory over death, over hell, over the grave.

In second Corinthians 2:14 says, “But thanks be to God who in Christ always leads us in triumph. And through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.” That must mean we smell good, right? There’s a fragrance about us. And so one definition of the word “destroy” is to paralyze. The Devil has been broken, paralyzed, and brought to zero. I like that. Zero. All of that is victory in the new birth, of course. But what about victory in being filled with the power of the Holy Ghost? We’ve introduced great power and victory over all the works of the Devil. And Jesus said in John 14:10, “The Father that dwells in me, he does the works.” So we don’t have to do the work. We have work. That’s walking in faith, declaring His Word. Verse 12 says “Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do because I go to my Father. Acts 10:38, says “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the Devil. For God was with him.” And He’s with us.

So that’s the same victory power that we’ve received.

Matthew 3:11, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But He that come with after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I’m not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” We’re talking about the gifts of the Spirit, all the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. That’s how Jesus did everything. That’s how we do it. Right?

Ephesians 3:14–20, “For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith. That ye being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, the length, the depth, and the height. And to know the love of Christ, which passes all knowledge that you might be filled with the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do everything exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. What’s that power? Holy Ghost power!

So in every area, I want us to be sure we know we have the victory because He already did it. I know we know that. We go over it a lot, but sometimes we’re not really thinking that way, but whatever the situation might be… and it can be a press. And how brother Hagin had said that Jesus said to him, “remember, look not at the things that you see, but call those things forth that are still not yet manifested. And when they manifest, when we call it or speak it, we have the victory.” We got to know we’re victorious in Him.. That way we can keep on marching in the army that we’re called to be a part of. You agree with that Barb?

All right, so let’s lift Him up, please. Let’s worship Him continually see us the way He sees us victorious today, tomorrow, next week, next month, overcoming in every area.

Pastor Ray…

Something you were saying reminded me of something way back. My mom was so in fear about not doing the right things for God and we’re raised Catholic. My parents went to church every day. So she would be in such fear that she wasn’t doing God’s plan or whatever, you know, doing things right. Even though we never saw her doing anything wrong, but when she would go to confession, as children, we were embarrassed because she would stay in there for like 20 minutes. We’re just waiting. “Oh my gosh. No, it’s not my mom.” And we’re like, “What is she doing?” So she erred over on that side, and my father erred on the side that nothing’s going to work out right. Okay? That’s quite a combo. It made me err over on the other side: everything is going to be okay. Before I was born again, I thought everything was going to be all right. Guess what? Everything wasn’t all right. But it did put something inside me. So when I got the Word of God, everything is going to be all right, because He already did it on the cross. And it reminded me of this one time both my sons, Nate and Brian, a few years ago. They were a lot younger. And so was I. But there was a pastor that always watched Pastor Mac on TV. So it was in the old building and he loved how the sanctuary looked. And so we got a message from him somehow and we found out that he wanted his church to look like our church. And so we went out on a limb believing, you know, “sure we can do that. We’ll do it.” So we built some things here in Minneapolis. We had a plan, we had a kind of a drawing. And, so we showed up with a truck load of it… it was a set like the front of the church. One problem was we didn’t know how to put it all together there. I mean, we built it, but we never really put it together. Wow, talk about just going out. We were going by faith, for sure. So the Lord brought different people to help us and it was in St. Louis. So we had to drive a ways, stay overnight. While we were there, we got help by the Holy Ghost. He’d send somebody else to say, “Well, you need to do it this way. Whatever.” Well, then Brian got sick. He got so sick. He was put in the hospital and we had a timeframe. So we only had so much time to get this thing done. He’s in the hospital. And so, they gave him a terrible report. There was some internal organ not functioning. It’s not going to function. I mean, it was like a nasty report. So he’s getting a nasty report. We’re over at the church trying to keep the deal going. And the pastor would come in and he’d look at us while we’re trying to do what we needed to do and he would kind of go, “Are there any problems?” “Oh, no, no, we’re just making sure everything’s right.” Just speak right. And so he sent an associate pastor over to the hospital in between Brian and this pastor, I don’t know, one of them came up with Charles Capps’ book, the little mini book on healing. So between the pastor and Brian, they kept on the Word, kept speaking the Word, despite what the medical people were saying, while we’re over at the church speaking in other tongues. All right. So just because it was such pressure, you know, but it just reminded me how the Spirit of God worked in both areas. He helped us. It all came out, right. Everything did work out right. And Brian was out of the hospital in two days from “you’re going down. This is serious…” The word went in and the Word did the work. And so it just reminded me of it when you’re singing that He’s a good God. And so even like in that time that there were some impossibilities, we did not know what to do. He is so good. It was a big thing to us. Maybe it wasn’t that big of a deal, but it was to us. If it’s a big thing to us, it’s a big thing to Him. And He’ll work it out. He’s working! He’s working right now. Thank you, Lord.

Start praying a little bit more now. You come up here. So if God is working and He is, there is no place in no time for being down. Questioning whether it’ll work out because it’ll always work out. Okay, go ahead.

Barb…

What you were saying about your mom being fearful to do the wrong thing, I would rather step out and miss it than never step out at all. Because even when you step out and you miss it, you go, “Okay, maybe that wasn’t right.” And you figure out the right voice to listen to them because you’re not always going to miss it. You’re going to hit it and then you’re going to go, “Okay, this was the Holy Spirit. This was me.” So better to step out when you have an unction or you feel… I don’t want to say feel because we’re not moved by feelings… when you have an unction or you sense that He’s moving on you or speaking to you, then you go ahead and step out and you follow and do what He says. And I’m telling you, I would bet 99.9% of the time you’re going to hit it. Don’t be so fearful because that’s containment.

Pastor Ken…

Can I just add something? One thing that’s been stirring in me lately is the fact that we don’t have to be afraid to step out because the truth of the matter is God has already factored in failure into our journey. In other words, He already knows when we’re going to fail and what’s going to happen. And He’s already factored that in. Already provided grace, already planned for a comeback. I mean, so much so that the Old Testament before even Jesus did what He did says that He went and prepared a plan for our lives. And wrote it down, Psalm 139:16 in a book, and some say stuck it in a library in heaven where angels come and go to reference that book to help us overcome failure and fully succeed at all that God has called us to succeed in. Some who had death experiences and come back to tell about it, have said that there is no thought or imagination in the heart of God and the hosts of heaven that we will ever not do what God’s fully called us to do. Failure or not, there’s nothing but faith in heaven, nothing but faith in the hosts of heaven, cheering us on to do what He’s called us to do in this hour. COVID or not, craziness in our world or not. He has gone before us to prepare a way. Amen. And He’s factored in failure and He’s working behind the scenes to turn everything for good. Amen? As Pastor Ray said one time, “hide ourselves in Him.” Amen. I just wanted to add that.

Barb…

Think about Abraham, missed it a few times, right? I mean, I would say kind of in a big way, um, wouldn’t want to be his wife. He missed it and still he was the wealthiest man around. People were intimidated by him. So go ahead and do what the Holy Ghost has for you to do.

I have laughter on me. I came in this morning and I was praying on the way in for a friend of mine and then I hadn’t been praying that long and then all of a sudden, I just started singing. It’s His anointing. His anointing… that burden removing, yoke destroying. And we can’t really say, “come in this way. We want you this way. Oh, come in this way. We want you this way.” He comes, He comes. We just say, “come Lord Jesus, come Holy Spirit.” And He comes how He wants to come, how He wants to manifest Himself to us. So we just thank you, glory to God.

I was singing on the way in singing on the way in and I came in here and by the time I got here in the chapel, I was dancing. So He really had victory in my heart today. And so Ray was right on the same page. Thank you, Lord. So we yield ourselves to you, Holy Spirit. We yield ourselves to you. Thank you for that joy that you put in us. It’s necessary so that we can finish our course… Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We receive, we receive, we receive, we receive, we receive of you, Holy Spirit. We take that rest. We take that peace that only comes from you. We don’t look to things on the outside to bring those things to us. We look to you. We run to you. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah!
