Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Good morning. We are live in the chapel on Facebook, on YouTube, and on our online church channel. Good morning to everyone logging on.

Well, I’m blessed to be able to lead prayer on this Thursday morning, and I want to introduce a very special minstrel we have with us this morning—Nick Bailey. He offered to be here this morning and join us. He’s going to lead us a little bit here with some worship. We’re super excited to have him here. I appreciate you, Nick, for being willing to be a part of this, this morning. Thank you so much.

What the Early Church Prayed For…

Today, I don’t have a digital version yet for those of you online. But I came across something called, “What the Early Church Prayed For.” And if you’re in the chapel, I’ve got copies up here afterwards. But I thought it was interesting some of the things that the early church prayed for. In fact, I was just commenting before we started that I looked through this list last night. I looked down the right column and it says “that God would send reinforcements.” And that’s what we were praying about yesterday under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We were praying for reinforcements. I just think it’s interesting how the early church prayed. They prayed that God would exalt His name in the world. The early church, first Century Church, prayed that God would extend His kingdom in the world, that the Gospel would speed ahead and be honored. Which we’ve been praying about often lately. For the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

This is what I pray…

So I’m sharing this list because I want it to be a source of inspiration. I don’t know about you, but because I lead prayer so often, I’m concerned that I would just fall into some religious rut in my praying. I’m often praying, “Lord, inspire me, reinvent me, reshape me on the inside. If you’re the most creative being in all the universe, then let me be inspired and moved along by the great Creator by God the Holy Spirit, and that there would be freshness and newness of life every time we come together and something new and divine that transpires and is deposited and prayed out and accomplished.”

You can’t pray and make faith decrees without there being a miracle. That’s my belief. And that’s what the Word of God says. So I think that’s interesting they too prayed for the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

They prayed that God would vindicate the people in their cause. Of course, we prayed that last night if you joined us for Wednesday night service with Guy Liebowitz. In fact, if you didn’t get a chance to join us Wednesday night online or in person, check out our Facebook feed or go to our YouTube channel and watch that. It was very eye-opening what he had to share. And at the end, Pastor Jim prayed a prayer that God would defend Israel. And then Guy would recite it in Hebrew, which was beautiful to hear.

Pray for Israel…

If you want a prayer assignment, take up the cause to pray for Israel. Even just praying Psalm 122:6 “for the peace of Jerusalem” … the land, the people, the region, what God wants to do there. That gets God’s attention. And I believe garners favor with Him. Because when you take up Israel’s cause, His first covenanted people’s cause, then that’s significant in the heart and mind of God.

That God would direct the use of the sword of the Spirit…

But the early church also prayed that God would direct the use of the sword of the Spirit. That’s my prayer daily. “Lord, supernaturally mentor us, coach us in how we should pray, when we should hold our tongue, how to be patient, how to be present, and just aware of His movements in our heart and in our gathering and aware of the words He wants us to declare.” Because one word can move mountains in the realm of the Spirit. And then have a wake that shows up in this realm of change… a wake of change.

They prayed for boldness in proclamation…

They also prayed for boldness in proclamation, for signs and wonders for the health of the healing of wounded comrades, for the healing of unbelievers, for the casting out of demons. In other words, they contended for the gifts of the Spirit and the power of God to be fully manifest, for the raising of the dead.

Yeah, I said it. They prayed it! We’re going to pray it more.

They prayed God would supply His troops with strategic wisdom…

That God would supply His troops with necessities, for strategic wisdom.

Oh my goodness, I’ve found that if there’s anything I need on a day-to-day basis now in this new season of 2024 and beyond, if there’s one thing the church needs now, an entrepreneur needs now, a mom or a dad or a leader or a believer needs now is strategic wisdom. His quiver is full of arrows of strategic wisdom. They’re going to make all the difference in 2024 and break open the realm of the Spirit so that God can move and have His way in our lives and in our nation.

That God would establish leadership in the outposts…

They prayed that God would establish leadership in the outposts. In other words, that founders would be pushed out and the glory hotspots would show up. And that the Gospel would spread and prosper, for the success of other missionaries, for the unity and harmony in the ranks, for the encouragement of togetherness, for the mind of discernment, for the knowledge of the will of God.

Paul writes, “Lord, grant unto me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you.” And he goes on from there, of course… to know God better. Just pray that, “Lord, show me your ways and teach me and cause me to experience yourself more and more deeper and deeper sense of assured hope.” They prayed for strength and endurance, that your faith not be destroyed. And on and on and on.

And if you didn’t get a copy, I’ll have some up here afterwards that you can take for yourself. And we’ll find a way to post this maybe in the prayer movement later in a digital format on our Facebook group. If you haven’t joined our Prayer Movement Facebook group, ask the host about it in the chat if you’re online this morning and they’ll post a link. You have to go to our Facebook page and request to join.

E.W. Kenyon’s book, “In His Presence…”

Can I just read one more thing before we worship? It’s out of a book by E.W Kenyon. I’ve read from it once or twice before entitled “In His Presence.” It’s a bit of a deep book, but if you just read it in chunks and kind of let it marinate and wash over your spirit… I mean, it’s not really hard to read or anything, but it just speaks to me.

Excerpt…

He writes in one particular chapter discussing the habit of prayer. He says, “You can’t sit with God, the God of all faith and all love, for a half an hour each day without unconsciously breathing in the faith of God.” I like that. That would be a good place to maybe just kind of center yourself on this morning. Regardless of what’s going on in your life or what the media is reporting or what you’re feeling, we can go by faith today to the throne of God. We’ve all been there where we feel constricted on the inside. We feel even a sense of oppression or discouragement or fear or ominousness maybe.

The enemy does his best to try to harass us, to harass the church. He can attempt to do that, but we don’t have to take the bait. We don’t have to just say, “Okay, Mr. Devil, I guess I’ll just join you in that and cooperate.” No, our decision must be each and every day, “I resist that.” The Bible says to submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. We must resist him. Resist that thought. Resist getting down and underneath that melancholy, that discouragement, that despair, even grief.

I know we have at times suffer and experience loss, but we don’t have to invite it to come and take up residence in our lives for the duration of our earthly journey. No. Even in the middle of grief, we can offer that up to Him and say, “Lord, help my heart. Help me to process through this. I invite you Holy Spirit to enter in with comfort and counsel and hope and peace.” He’s a very present help in time of trouble. The Bible announces that at various points in the writings of scripture, He’s a very present help.

In one passage, it goes on to read that He will perfect that which concerns you. In other words, if you stay in a place of agreement and choose to resist the enemy’s plan for you, and choose God’s plan for you, then God is at work whether you see it or not. He is at work in the unseen realm from your eyes anyway, to perfect, to perform, to mature, to bring to full fruition what He intends for you. And those intentions are good if you need to be reminded this morning. The Bible says He is good and His intention is to do only good to you and yours, your family and those that follow after you in your lineage. The Bible in another place says, His desire is to bring you increase more and more, that you would as David understood see the goodness of God in this present life.

So hang in there. Stay with Him…

Sometimes the best thing and the only thing you can do is just linger with Him. Stay with Him. Sit with Him. Sometimes, that’s what prayer really is defined for us on a particular day… just sit with God, stay there with Him until you receive what you need to receive.

For some of us, I sense He’s doing surgery. For those of you online, wherever you might be in the world, you may not be here in this chapel with those of us here, but you are with a company of angels and you are with the majority of the Holy Spirit and the hosts of heaven, and we stand with you. You’re not alone. Stay with Him. Know that God is at work and that He is taking you somewhere and that you won’t always feel this way or always have these symptoms. That God is in the process of leading you out from a previous day and a previous failure or diagnosis or situation into a bright and burgeoning and blessed new place and new season.

In fact, we just stand with you…

If you feel constricted, if you feel beaten down by life, if you feel discouraged and at a loss and hopeless and like you’ve gone through something traumatic, then we stand and agree with you this morning. And we pray and assign the power of God that it would be released to you personally today.

Lord, we release your anointing. We send arrows of Holy Ghost strategy and hope and divine help into the lives and churches and homes and circumstances represented here online. Whether it’s those of us personally or those that we know, we pray and we unite together because we know as we do so you stand with us and you stand behind us. And we release power into hearts, into homes, into marriages, into the brokenness of families wherever there is discouragement and depression and thoughts of suicide… we reject and rebuke you. And we stand with those that are battling those things and we say, “No, you will not have your way, Mr. Devil.” We say, no, we’re coming after you by the name and by the blood of Jesus… how dare you think you’re going to take them down and you’re going to stop them or limit them or confine them in some way to a level of low living or loss or grief or pain. No, you won’t.

We declare and dispatch angels and ministering spirits to uplift, to assist the household of faith today to individual lives. We declare generational things that have come down and still affect us and keep us going around the mountain of self-defeating thought patterns. Yo-yo emotions, patterns in our soul and in our relationships and in our thinking that keep us stuck in devilish ruts.

We say today, “Your time is up. Those strategies, those soul ties, those generational connections that seek to constrict us and enslave us in various ways. We declare together as the household of faith this morning, power of God be assigned, strongholds be broken in Jesus’ name.”

Assignments of the enemy, be severed and separated and broken from them. Their hearts and their lives in a variety of ways. Right now, in the name of Jesus,

Holy Ghost fire, we declare, be loosed, be released, and leap upon us, and leap within our hearts and spread in our homes, in our churches, in our nation today. We release and declare, let Holy Ghost, heaven-sent Day of Pentecost fire begin to burn bright within us. And in our souls, may it purge and burn out all the dross, all the wood, all the hay, all the stubble, all the loss and grief, and all the pain of unmet expectations and hopelessness that would try to compete for our attention. Lord, burn out in us every evil thing, every work of darkness, every bit of loss and trauma. We speak holy fire upon it, that she would burn and purge within us, Lord, in our very souls, in our hearts, in our lives, in our churches. Lord, that you would prepare us this day. And change and transform us this day, we declare that from this day forward, we will not be the same because we receive on purpose your plan, your power, and your holy fire within a Lord.
