Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Folu…
Good morning, everybody. Thanks so much for coming to prayer today. My name is Folu. I get to be the host of this wonderful prayer meeting.
Brother Kenneth E. Hagin prophetic word, January 24, 1988
“For even in worship as the Father would have you to worship Him for He is high and He is holy. And you come not unto Him as you would come unto man. And you give not Him applause as you would man for you must not bring Him down on the level of man. But you must come up on the level where He is in holiness and reverence, worshiping Him and Him alone. And then shall the Spirit of God descend upon you like a mighty rain from heaven. Mighty rivers shall flow out of you, and you shall be known as a reverent, worshipful people. And you shall be known as a supernatural people, for the supernatural will be ordinary with you. And it shall be said of you as it was said of those days gone by, they that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.”
Pastor Folu continued…
We’re going to continue in this place of worship. I’m going to read what I just read again to you. I heard this years ago. And because of this word, I stopped clapping in a church service. Because of what the Lord said to Brother Hagin many years ago. Nothing wrong with it, but from what we hear here, it’s good to clap when we’re introducing a man or something. But before the Lord, it actually is not very appropriate. Let me read this again.
Repeat of word…
“For even in worship, as the Father would have you to worship Him, for He is high and He is holy. And you come not unto Him as you would come unto man and you give Him not applause as you would man, for you must not bring Him down on the level of man. But you must come up on the level where He is in holiness and reverence, worshiping Him and Him alone. Worshiping Him and Him alone. Worshiping Him and Him alone.
Commentary…
Saints, let me just stop there for a second. You notice that, Saints, for whatever reason, the Holy Spirit wanted to emphasize that. He said that three times.
Prayed…
So, Lord, help us as we’re here this morning that we’ll worship you and you alone. We come against and banish every distraction. We banish every other thought about any other thing that will just help us to focus right here right now. Worshiping you and you alone.
Continue…
I continue with this wonderful word of the Lord. And then, saints, isn’t it interesting when we’ve done the worshiping Him and Him alone, He says, “And then shall the Spirit of God descend upon you like a mighty rain from heaven. Mighty rivers shall flow out of you, and you shall be known as a reverent, worshipful people. And you shall be known as a supernatural people. For the supernatural will be ordinary with you. And it shall be said of you as it was said of those days gone by they that have turned the world upside down, I come hither also.”
The Lord gave this to Brother Hagin back on January 24, 1988. And it’s so relevant for today. And you know how the Lord is so interested in the minute details… When I was given this opportunity weeks ago for me to host this prayer meeting, in my heart I was praying that “Lord, let everything just flow well as you intended.” And then when I saw the schedule, I saw this lady’s name on the schedule. By the grace of the lord, I’ve had some wonderful dealings with my dear sister back there that is singing and she’s just a pure worshiper and that the Lord would have her scheduled today when He put this on my heart. There’s no coincidence.
So Saints, like I said, today we’re going to take some time to just worship Him. This is Thanksgiving season. We’re thanking Him for so many things. And I saw a lot of us already got into that place of worship. So please, as we go back now, saints, let’s just worship Him and Him alone.
I know you’re doing that already, but I’m saying that for the benefit of everyone. And I believe this, that by the time we are done worshiping Him today, that He would have spoken some things into your heart. He would reveal some things to you because we cannot worship Him and Him alone and He does not come to our focus, our attention into making a way for us where things are needed, even deep things.
Prayer…
So, Holy Spirit, we give you this time afresh. Thank you for what you’re already doing. Thank you for the worship that is already coming up to you. And thank you for some of us being enlightened today about the importance of not clapping to you, that that brings you down and you don’t want to be brought down. We want to come up to where you are, Lord. And thank you for this wonderful privilege, Father, that we will be known as a reverent worshipful people. We give you a praise, Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
Woman led in prayer…
Father, we just lift up everyone that’s online, Father, that may have a heavy heart. I pray for comfort. I pray for peace right now in the midst of whatever may be going on. Father, you know all that’s going on and you are the healer of our hearts. We just bring it all to you, Father. Thank you for mending those hearts, for ministering throughout the day and throughout this season, wrapping your loving arms around them, knowing that you are here for them and with them, that you would never leave them. You would never leave us nor forsake us.
And so we just bring every care, every thought, every anxiety, all those things to you, Father. We just give them to you. You have your way in every situation, because we know that you’re bigger, you’re greater than all.
And we thank you, Father, for the victory that we have in you. Hallelujah. So we rejoice in the midst of it. We look to you. And we thank you, Father, for the answered prayers in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah.
Pastor Folu…
We’ll read that word one more time. And when we read it this third and final time, Saints, I believe the Lord is really going to help us. Because His goal is that you and I will be known as a reverent, worshipful people.
It’s interesting that He says that because that’s how I know this lady. So it’s possible when I think about her, I think about her as a reverent, worshipful woman of God. And that’s what the Lord wants for all of us so that we’ll be known in this world as that kind of a person. Let me read it again.
Repeat of word again…
“For even in worship, as the Father would have you to worship Him for He is high and He is holy. And you come not onto Him as you would come onto man. And you give not Him applause as you would man. For you must not bring Him down on the level of man, but you must come up on the level where He is in holiness and reverence, worshiping Him and Him alone, worshiping Him and Him alone, worshiping Him and Him alone. And then shall the Spirit of God descend upon you like a mighty rain from heaven.”
Pastor Folu…
Let me just stop there for a minute. Those of us that were up here. Some of you felt that rain as you were standing up here and I’m sure all the folks that were… I’m still feeling it. I’m still sensing that rain on me now. I feel a drip in my body, in my being as I’m standing up here.
Word continued…
“Mighty rivers shall flow out of you, and you shall be known as a reverent, worshipful people. And you shall be known as a supernatural people. For the supernatural will be ordinary with you. And it shall be said of you as it was said of those days gone by, they that have turned the world upside down are come hither also. Hallelujah.
Pastor Folu…
Saints, “they that have turned the world upside down.” That’s the way the Lord refers to us. We’ve read about it in the book of Acts. That those men and women of those days, they turned their world upside down. And the Lord is giving all of us… some of us knew this already but for some of us, it’s a reminder. For some of us, this is brand new information. That this is that gateway to be known as that kind of a person and to do those kind of things is to be a reverent, worshipful people.
And I know a lot of people in this room are already that kind of a person. But the Lord is just reminding us of that today. And I really want to commend all the people that came forward. And those of you online that came forward in your heart, I believe the Lord touched you. And I believe in a moment whatever it was, I believe it broke. And so I just want to give everyone, especially the folks that came forward, this little charge from the Lord.
Charge from the Lord…
The enemy is going to try and try and try, especially at this season to bring that stuff back on you. Please don’t let him. The Lord already broke it off of you. Don’t think about it, whatever it is, put it out of mind.
Let us all do what the Word says. Let us think about only those things that are lovely. Those things that are pure. Those things that are of a good report. And whatever the enemy wanted to use to bring you down this season, this wonderful season of Thanksgiving, you just refuse it. You say, “No, not here. Not now. Not ever.” Hallelujah.
Saints, this is just a one of those kind of unique prayer meetings. I hope it’s okay with you that we just spend time worshiping Him and Him alone. He’s teaching us some things here about how to be known and especially about this whole thing about clapping. I read this years ago. Every time somebody would say, “Let’s clap for the Lord,” it just churns in my body. It’s okay to do it for a man when we’re introducing a guest speaker or whatever. But when the people say, “Let’s clap for the Lord,” because of this, I said, “NO!” That’s just tradition that a lot of people have grown up with. But I thank God for this insight that the holy one is reminding us it’s not appropriate. He wants to bring us up. We don’t want to bring Him down.
So we’ll continue worshiping for the 10 more minutes that we have. So I just want to thank you for coming to prayer. Those that are here, those that are online, thank you for joining us. I and my wife and my friends that are up here, we wish you a happy, happy Thanksgiving season. And may the Lord that has began a good work in all of us complete it. Amen
