Prayer Summary for Tuesday, August 1, 2017

The following excerpt was taken from A Fresh Anointing by Kenneth E. Hagin:

What are you full of?

I held a revival for a certain pastor, and I was there for four full weeks. I ate at least the noon meal with him every day, and then sometimes after church we’d go out and have something to eat. So I ate with this pastor at least twice a day and sometimes three times a day for four weeks or about 28 days.

Every single time we went to eat, he’d tell me at least three new jokes. He never repeated himself. Well, if I had eaten with him twice a day, that would be six new jokes a day he’d told me. If I’d eaten with him three times a day, that would be nine new jokes each day. Out of all those jokes, I can only remember one! Well, if you multiply six times 28, that’s more than 150 jokes that pastor told me while I was there holding this meeting for him.

In my meetings, I quoted most of my scriptures by heart. Once when we went out to eat, this pastor said to me, “I wish I could remember scriptures like you can.” Finally, l said to him, “You know, if you’d feed on the Word like you do on jokes, you could remember scriptures. I can’t remember jokes like you do because I’m not interested in jokes. That’s why I can’t remember them—l’m just not interested in them. I’m interested in the Word!” I don’t know about you, but I like to stay full of the Word!

What are you full of? The Bible didn’t say to be full of jokes or things that are insignificant and of little importance. The Bible said to be full of the Word! If you’re full of the Word, then that’s what you’re going to talk about.

MALACHI 3:16
16 Then they that FEARED the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord HEARKENED, and HEARD it…

Throughout the Old Testament, we see that expression “to fear the Lord.” That’s not talking about being afraid of God like you’d be afraid of a tornado or a rattlesnake. That word carries with it the thought of a holy or reverent awe of the Lord! We are to reverence the Lord, and to have a holy awe for Him. If the Church wants the supernatural move of God’s Spirit, we’re going to have to get back to that holy reverence for God and the things of God.

Well, if the Lord heard those saints of God back then in the Old Testament who reverenced Him, I wonder if the Lord still hears us today? Or do you suppose He’s gotten so old He’s lost His hearing? Maybe we should take up an offering and get Him a hearing aid! No, thank God, His hearing is not impaired. His hearing is just as good as it always was!

MALACHI 3:16
16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

It says the Lord hearkened and heard what those who feared the Lord said to one another. The word “hearken” means to listen to, to give attention to, and to give heed to. The Lord paid attention to what they were saying and He heard what they were saying. I wonder if they were telling jokes to one another? Is that what caused the Lord to hearken and to hear them? No, they weren’t full of jokes; they were full of the Word! They were full reservoirs, not empty cisterns. They had a reverential awe for His Name!

MALACHI 3:17
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Glory to God! Did you ever stop to think about it? We’re the Lord’s jewels! There’s a note in the margin of my King James Bible and by the word “jewels,” it says, “special treasures.” We are the Lord’s special treasures!

The Bible says those who fear God and think upon His Name are His special treasures. As the Lord’s special treasures, let’s stay full of His Word and full of His Spirit. Let’s bring the Lord the honor and glory due His Name by being full reservoirs, not empty cisterns. Let’s not be full of our own plans, and full of our own ways; let’s be full of God’s Word and full of His Spirit!

We as the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ need to take advantage of the provision God has given us to be full reservoirs! We can’t do it apart from the anointing! It will take a fresh anointing for each of us to be full reservoirs, but this is what God intends for us. If we follow God’s New Testament pattern for being continually filled with the Holy Spirit, a fresh anointing will abide upon us and we will be full reservoirs to God’s glory. Stay in God’s Presence and in His Word so you can say with the psalmist, “I shall be anointed with fresh oil”!

Pastor Ray shared…

I know people who were once filled to overflowing with the Holy Ghost but they went down, down, down and away. They are not filled with the power or stirred or walking in the anointing of the Holy Ghost. They are more over into maybe a religious way. Many people have actually just backslidden right out of the power of the Holy Spirit and doing things in their own strength and wondering maybe “why isn’t this working out right? Why is my pathway kind of crooked?”

The Devil, his plan is to make crooked our straight path. He has a plan and his plan is to get us derailed and get us over out away from what God has called us to do. Isn’t that right? We being filled with the Holy Spirit and overflowing will bring others into their destiny and their plan and their purpose if we stay full. But it’s like a restaurant or like eating daily. Because we ate yesterday, does that mean we will not have to eat today? No. It’s an ongoing thing. And being filled as the Bible says to be, being filled with the Holy Ghost, stirring ourselves up, praying in the Holy Ghost, singing songs, hymns, and spiritual songs, they do increase the anointing that we walk in.

Many times I have experienced this where people will sense, people in the world sense a difference when you are overflowing with Him, the power of the Holy Spirit because your words will be more accurate. Your words will be lifting. Your words will be transforming kinds of words. Instead of moving things down you will be moving things up, lifting up. And they, many times, are changed just because they come in contact with believers like us, filled, saturated, anointed, equipped, empowered, strengthened – that’s the Church.

Prayed…

Thank You, Father
Wherever we have come down a notch, let some weeds grow where they shouldn’t be growing
Wherever we have missed it, wherever we have not stayed full, wherever we have yielded to something else other than the anointing
We repent before You, Father
Wherever we have not given You all the glory that is due unto You
We repent
Wherever we have said things that distract from You or help the Devil in any way
We repent
And thank You this morning for the power of that precious holy blood that has cleansed us
We receive it today in faith believing
Yesterday is gone and finished
We are stepping over into new days
Greater authority, more wisdom and insight
If we can’t go over, we will go around
If we can’t go around, we’ll go through
Because the Holy Ghost is in me and you
The power of the Holy Spirit takes us all the way through
No wall built by the enemy can hold us back
No plan or no words from man can stop us and hold us back
For we have overcome by the blood
Because of what was done on the Cross at Calvary over 2,000 years ago
Thank You, Father, for a refreshing today – an infilling, a refilling
More of Your ways in us than the world’s ways
We minister unto You, we lift and magnify You, Father – thank You!

I just see this in my heart. There are some things, some situations, some steps were just a little off but in Jesus’ name by the power of the Holy Spirit those things are being lined up as you spend more time with Him Who is the One who makes the way where there was no way. There was no way. There is no way without You, Lord.

We are welcoming Your help this morning to do what we are called to do
To contend, to lift up, to push through
To stay filled with You
We are strong in the Lord and the power of His might
We overcome because You overcame
We are above not down under
Not pulled over sitting on a bench
We have not placed it in park but we are fully pressing ahead in Your strength
In You we can do all things! Because You have strengthened us!
We declare over our feet today “Get going and get moving in the right way!”
Feet be whole! Feet be healthy!
Our legs are walking in the right direction in Jesus’ name
Our minds are strong and thinking on the right things
All those other details, gone in Jesus’ name
Things that were held back by the Devil – loosed in Jesus’ name
Stepping, moving, increasing
Overcomers by the blood – the joy of the Lord is our strength
Knowing what He has done and what He is about to do
It brings about a supernatural strength – internal joy!
Those thing that were stolen – restored seven times greater in Jesus’ name
Abundance, prosperity body, spirit, and soul
New territories – new!
Thank You Lord, thank You, Father
Reverencing You, humbling ourselves before You
Yielding ourselves

Scripture focus…

(1) Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. (2) But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. (3) And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. Psalm 1:1-3

(11) But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits. (12) For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor). Psalm 5:11-12(AMPC)

(7) I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.  (8) I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  (9) Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety, (10) For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. (11) You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:7-11 (AMPC)

(8) The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes. (9) The [reverent] fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. (10) More to be desired are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb. (11) Moreover, by them is Your servant warned (reminded, illuminated, and instructed); and in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:8-11 (AMPC)

(1) May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high [and defend you]; (2) Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen you from Zion; (3) Remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah [pause, and think of that]! (4) May He grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.
(7) Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. (8) They are bowed down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright. (9) O Lord, give victory; let the King answer us when we call. Psalm 20:1-4, 7-9 (AMPC)

We have victory in Him
Declaring His Words!
Eat the Word, fill ourselves up on the Word
And we will be declaring the Word, standing on the Word
Always the same, never has changed
Thank You, Father, for Your Words
Bowing ourselves humbly before You this morning
You are moving in and through us by Your Spirit

Flooded internally by Your Spirit
Overcome by Your presence, Lord

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
