Good morning, everyone. Welcome, to our online family and prayer community.
I believe in this day that God is going to rain more spontaneously and more frequently in our lives, in our services, and our situations. So let’s expect it.
God is wanting to focus us…
And it kind of goes with something that I wanted to share with you this morning. And I don’t know how far I’m gonna get, but I do know that God is in addition to sending greater intensity of streams of His power and of His light and the miraculous and the supernatural in this hour. He is also working actively to focus the church, to focus us, to focus pray-ers… you know how you turn a lens, kinda the old school cameras, you would turn a lens to focus or telescope. You focus it in on the moon or on a planet so you can see clearly and accurately and be informed by that clear image that you’re seeing because you focused.
God wants us to focus and sync up with His plans…
Well, God is focusing our hearts individually and collectively as a church. He’s wanting to do so, so He can prepare us, sync us up with His plan so we can move with Him more readily, more swiftly, to be more responsive as a people, as pray-ers and as individuals, as Christians, as a body His church. And prepare us, as I said, for where He wants to take us next.
God has a “next” for you…
Don’t you know, He has a “next” for you. He has a next for us as a church, for the church in this generation. Acts 2:17 says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. And your young men shall see visions. And your old men shall dream dreams.”
Tommy Hicks vision has been shared many times…
You may have heard this before, but back in 1961, a man by the name of Tommy Hicks had a vision. This just came to me here the other day again. I’ve read it. Perhaps you’ve heard it. I think Pastor Ray has read it over the years. Pastor Lynne too, I think. And I’ve heard it many times, but I read it recently and it just brought so much more clarity to me. It just was like, oh, I get it now. Not that it’s a hard vision, but I don’t know, it just like focused me. It helped me to see what God is endeavoring to do right now.
Background on Tommy Hicks…
Lester Sumrall, his friend was Tommy Hicks. Tommy Hicks was a part of the great Argentine revival; I think it was the fifties maybe into the sixties. But on the morning of July 25, back in 1961, 2:30 in the morning to be exact in Winnipeg, Canada, a vision came to Tommy Hicks three times in exact detail and he was so stirred.
It says, he was so moved by the revelation that it changed his complete outlook on the body of Christ and upon end time ministry. We don’t know the exact hour that Jesus is going to catch the church up or do what He’s going to do next. But we know we’re in that time and in that season, right? We can see the progression of things and the ramping up of the intensity of events. Significant unprecedented events. We can see God’s timepiece Israel and what’s going on there, as a good idea as to where we’re at. And we’re right there for what God wants to do next.
God will give a double portion of His power in the last days…
But he said, I do not think I fully realized nor could I understand the fullness of it until I read this vision. Until I read the book Joel 2:23, which says, Be glad then you children of Zion and rejoice in the Lord, your God. For he hath given you the former rain moderately. And he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain in the first month. It is not going to rain the former and the latter, but he is going to give his people in these last days, a double portion of the power of God.
Tommy’s vision begins…
And it says, Tommy said that when this vision appeared to me, I suddenly found myself at a great height looking down upon the earth when suddenly the whole world came into view. Every nation, every kindred, every tongue came before me in sight from the east to the west, from the north to the south. I recognized the countries and cities that I had been in. I was almost in fear and trembling as I stood before this great site. At that moment, when the world came into view, it began to lightning and thunder. As lightning flashed over the face of the earth, my eyes went downward. I was facing the north. Suddenly I beheld, what looked like a great giant as I stared and looked at it, I was almost bewildered by the site, a giant. The giant was gigantic. His feet seemed to reach to the north pole and his head to the south pole. His arms stretched from sea to sea. I could not even begin to understand, whether this was a mountain or whether this was a giant. As I watched, I suddenly beheld that it was a great giant. I could see he was struggling for life to even live. His body was covered with debris from head to foot. At times, this great giant would move his body and act as though he would rise up. When he did, thousands of little creatures would run away. Hideous looking creatures would run away from this giant. And when he became calm again, all these little hideous creatures would come back.

Isn’t that interesting? Now just kind of meditate and translate that to your life when we are indifferent or remain ignorant or apathetic, or lukewarm in some way, or just don’t step into our place of prayer or exercise or authority, or let our hearts be stirred with an indignation of what the enemy’s doing, or the fact that somebody’s not saved, that we should be praying for or reaching out to in some way. The enemy is allowed to move in, creep in, encroach in our lives, in our churches, and our homes and situations. We must be vigilant. It is a time to be vigilant. The Bible’s really clear. Give the devil no foothold, no place, not even one square inch of terra firma, is what it says in Ephesians. It’s literally what it means from the Greek. Don’t give him one square inch of earth in your life, ground to even put his foot on. Run him out. Be aggressive toward him. Don’t put up with things. Don’t learn to cope with things, situations. We’re here to change situations. We’re here to run the enemy out the door and to keep him out the door.
Pastor Lynne taught that prayer is intended to push back…
Pastor Lynne has taught us through the years so well, prayer is intended to push back. One purpose for it is to push back darkness off of our lives. We’ve been granted this great and beautiful privilege of authority. Jesus said, I’ve given you authority to tread on scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. We must use it. Those hideous creatures are in their spirit dimension, and you can see them ever more in this hour, influencing people and causing crazy chaotic things to happen. People that yield to it, even Christians that are unknowingly yielding and influenced by those things. God is trying to focus us in now on what’s really going on, where we’re going. And who really is the giant… who really are the victorious ones.
As I said yesterday, the enemy’s not growing stronger. In fact, he and his minions are growing weaker to the end. He’s frantic, he’s pathetic. He’s underfoot, according to my Bible. Let’s put him there. Let’s keep him there. And let’s let God focus us in on where we’re going.
The vision continues…
Tommy Hicks went on to say, All of a sudden, the great giant lifted one hand toward the heavens. And then he lifted the other hand. When he did, these creatures by the thousands seemed to flee away from that giant and go into the night. Slowly, the great giant began to rise and as he did, his head and his hands went into the clouds.

Now, let me just preface this by saying this vision is about what God is endeavoring to do right now in this hour. This is the culmination of the church. The scripture reads very well. The end of all things, the culmination of all things is at hand. It says the culmination of all things is at hand. Be circumspect, be aware of things; therefore for the practice of prayer. Jesus said, when I return, will I find faith in the earth. In the gospel of Luke and implied in that passage, will He find faith being released in prayer. God is willing to focus in on prayer so that He can have His way in our generation and in this last and final push of God’s work in this hour. So that’s what this vision is about. It’s about what God wants to do to wrap things up.
Vision continues…
And he goes on to say, Slowly, this giant began to rise. And as he did his head and hands went into the clouds. As he arose to his feet, he seemed to have cleansed himself from the debris and the filth that was upon him. And he began to raise his hands into the heavens as though he was praising the Lord. As he raised his hands, they went even into the clouds. Then suddenly every cloud became silver, the most beautiful silver that I’d ever known. As I watched the phenomenon, it was so great. I could not even begin to understand what it all meant. I was so stirred as I watched it. I cried out unto the Lord and said, “Lord, what is the meaning of this?” And it felt as if I was actually in the spirit and I could feel the presence of the Lord even as I was asleep. From those clouds, suddenly there came great drops of liquid light raining down upon the mighty giant slowly. Slowly the great giant began to melt and began to sink as it were into the earth itself. As he melted, his whole form seemed to have melted upon the face of the earth. This great rain began to come down. Liquid drops of light began to flood the very earth itself. As I watched this great giant that seemed to melt suddenly it became millions of people all over the face of the earth. As I beheld the sight before me, people stood up all over the world. They were lifting their hands and they were praising the Lord.
At the very moment, there came a great thunder that seemed to roar from the heavens. I turned my eyes toward the heavens and suddenly I saw a figure in white and glistening, but somehow I knew that it was the Lord Jesus Christ. He stretched forth His hand. And as He did, He would stretch it forth to one and to another and to another. As He stretched it upon the peoples and the nations of the world, men and women, he pointed toward them. This liquid light seemed to flow from His hand into the person and a mighty anointing of God came upon them. Those people began to go forth in the name of the Lord.

He’s doing that now. You may say, “I don’t see it, Ken.” Well, hello? This is all about living and doing and having our being by faith. God says something and He expects us to respond or align to it. And as we do with our steps of faith, then it becomes manifest and in evidence.
Vision continues…
He went on to say, I do not know how long I watched it. It seemed it went on into days and weeks and months. I beheld this Christ as he continued to stretch forth His hand. But there was a tragedy. There were many people that as He stretched forth His hands that refused the anointing of God and the call of God.
I saw men and women that I knew, people that I felt that certainly they would receive the call of God. As He stretched forth His hand toward this one and towards that one, they simply bowed their heads and began to back away. To each of those that seemed to bow down and back away, they seemed to go into darkness. Blackness seemed to swallow them everywhere. I was bewildered as I watched it. These people that He had anointed covered the earth. There were hundreds of thousands of these people all over the world. In Africa, Asia, Russia, China, America, all over the world. The anointing of God was upon these people as they went forth in the name of the Lord. I saw these men and women as they went forth. They were ditch diggers. They were washer women. They were rich men. They were poor men. I saw people who were bound with paralysis and sickness and blindness and deafness. And as the Lord stretched forth His hand to give them this anointing, they became well. They became healed. And they went forth.
Glory to God, come on now!
This is the miracle of it. This is the glorious miracle of it. Those people would stretch forth their hands exactly as the Lord Jesus did. And it seemed that there was the same liquid fire that seemed to be in their hands. As they stretched forth their hands, they said, according to my word, be made whole. As these people continued in the mighty end time ministry, I did not fully realize what it was.
I looked to the Lord and said, “What is the meaning of this?” He said, this is that, that I will do in the last day. I will restore all that the cankerworm the palmerworm and the caterpillar. I will restore all that they have destroyed.
This my people in the end time shall go forth as a mighty army, and shall sweep over the face of the earth. As I was at this great height, I could behold the whole world. I watched these people as they were going to and fro, over the face of the earth. Suddenly there was a man in Africa and in a moment, he was transported in the spirit of God. And perhaps he was in Russia or China or America or some other place or vice versa all over the world. These people went. They came through fire and through pestilence and through famine, neither fire nor persecution, nothing seemed to stop them.
Nothing’s gonna stop us.
Angry mobs came to them with swords and with guns and like Jesus, they passed through the multitude and they could not find them. But they went forth in the name of the Lord everywhere. They stretched forth their hands, the sick were healed. The blind eyes were open. There was not a long prayer. I never saw a church. I never saw or heard a denomination. These people were going in the name of the Lord of hosts.

In other words, it was simply the body of Christ being orchestrated by the head of the church, Jesus. As they marched forward as the ministry of Christ in the end times, these people ministered to multitudes all over the face of the earth. Tens of thousands, even millions seemed to come to the Lord Jesus Christ. As these people stood forth and gave the message of the coming kingdom in this last hour. It was glorious. It seemed there were those that rebelled. They would become angry. They tried to attack those workers that were giving the message. God is going to give the world a demonstration.
He’s going to give the world a demonstration in this last hour such as the world has never known. These men and women are of all walks of life. Degrees will mean nothing. I saw these workers as they were going over the face of the earth, when one would seem to stumble and fall, another would come and pick him up. There was no big “I” or little “you.” Every mountain was brought low and every valley was exalted and they seemed to have one thing in common. There was a divine love that seemed to flow forth from these people as they went together. As they worked together, as they lived together, it was the theme of their life. They continued and it seemed the days went by, as I stood and beheld this sight. I could only cry. And sometimes I laughed. It was so wonderful as these people went throughout the face of the whole earth showing forth God’s power in the last end time.
As I watched from the very heaven itself, there were times when great deluges of this liquid light seemed to fall upon great congregations. The congregations would lift up their hands and seemingly praise God for hours. And even days as the spirit of God came upon them. God said, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. That is exactly the thing that God is going to do from every man and woman that received this power and anointing of God, the miracles of God flowed continuously.

That’s something that I’ve been hearing too from some others. I know Pastor Lynne shared that with me about what we’re gonna see next will come with such an intensity, it’ll almost feel like how can we sustain this. Like, oh my gosh. I think of maybe what maybe Chuck Yeager experienced when he tried to break the sound barrier and he describes how the plane began to shake and shutter. And he thought every bolt and nut on that plane was gonna like literally vibrate off the plane before he could get through the sound barrier. The intensity was so great.
I remember Pastor Lynne recently saying that in her conversations with Billy and others that, yeah, we’re gonna see something that’s gonna be a quick work and it’ll be extremely intense, but because it’ll be so short and so quick, we won’t have to sustain it for a long period of time. Jesus will just come and catch us up. Amen.
Vision continues…
He goes on to say, Suddenly there was a great clap of thunder that seemed to resound around the world. Again, I heard the voice saying Now this is my people. This is my beloved bride. When the voice spoke, I looked upon the earth and I could see the lakes and the mountains. The graves were opened up and people from all over the world, the saints of all ages seemed to be rising as they rose from the graves. Suddenly all those people came from every direction from the east and the west on the north and the south. And they seem to be forming again this giant body.

Remember the body rose and shook off debris and creatures scattered, but then it melted into the earth for a great end time move or ministry and work of God as the Spirit of God orchestrated them. But then it seems like it’s coming back together right before everything ends up into a body again.
Vision…
So it seemed to form this gigantic body as the dead in Christ seemed to be rising first, I could hardly comprehend it. It was so marvelous. It was so far beyond anything I could ever dream or think of. This huge body suddenly began to form and take shape again. And its shape was the form of the mighty giant. But this time it was different. It was arrayed in the most beautiful, gorgeous white. Its garment was without spot or wrinkle as this body began to form. And the people of all ages seem to be gathering into this body. Slowly from the heavens above, the Lord Jesus came and became the head. I heard another clap of thunder that said This is my beloved bride for whom I have waited. She will come forth even tried by fire. This as she that I have loved from the beginning of time.
As I watched, my eyes turned to the north. I saw great destruction, men and women in anguish, crying out and buildings destroyed. Then I heard again the fourth voice that said Now is my wrath being poured out upon the face of the earth from the ends of the whole world. It seemed that there were great vials of God’s wrath being poured out upon the face of the earth. I can remember as I beheld the awful sight of seeing cities and whole nations going down into destruction, I could hear the weeping and the wailing. I could hear people crying. They seemed to cry as though they went into caves, but the caves and the mountains opened up. They leaped into water, but the water would not drown them. There was nothing that seemingly could destroy them. They were wanting to take their lives, but they did not succeed.
Again, I turned my eyes toward this glorious sight of this body arrayed in the beautiful white shining garment slowly, slowly, it began to lift from the earth. And as it did, I awoke. The sight that I had beheld, I had seen the end of time ministry, the last hour.
The dream repeated…
Then he said again on July 27th at 2:30 in the morning, the same revelation, the same vision came again exactly as it did before. He said, my life has been changed as I realized that we are living in the end time for all over the world, God is anointing men and women of this ministry. It will not be doctrine. It will not be churchianity. But it’s going to be Jesus Christ. They will go forth. The word of the Lord and are going to say I heard it so many times in the vision. According to my word, it shall be done.
O people listen to me, according to my word, it shall be done. We are going to be clothed with power and anointing from God. We won’t have to preach sermons. We won’t have to depend on man, nor will we denominational echoes. But we will have the power of the living God. We will fear no man. But we will go in the name of the Lord of hosts.
Soon thereafter, Tommy Hicks died in Los Angeles, California in 1961.
Ending comment…
So I know that’s a lot to read. And I don’t normally like to read that much, but I got to reading it last night, like, wow. I don’t know. It just came with new relevancy for me. In fact, I’ll work to get this in a PDF or something and share it online. Probably in the prayer movement, Facebook groups. But I think as pray-ers, God is just wanting to focus us in. And I think a lot of what we pray about has to do with this right now.
Prayed…
Lord, we pray for preparation today that our hearts would be stirred that the first love of Jesus in us would be kindled
Lord, we lift up this purpose, this vision, we lift up what you want to do here at Living Word. We lift up the plan of God today and we pray for a supernatural positioning of the church.
We pray for adjustments and changes today… for transformations
We pray that you would help us to hone in on and see those next steps today, individually and collectively as a body.
We pray for new operations… new demonstrations… coming now.
I pray over this prayer community. I pray over our churches today, our families, our households … we lift up those who are calling out to you today… those who have struggled in so many different ways, those who are bound with fear those who are stuck in mediocrity and addicted to the spirit of the world in some way… Father, we pray for ascending now, ascending of light, ascending of your power and miraculous, grace and anointing
We pray for deliverance today. We pray for chains to fall off today.
We pray for heart’s opening… opening in Jesus’ name… we pray for people, Lord, to be invigorated and infused with strength like that giant, who was able to raise a hand and then was able to slowly sit up.
We pray that those that are bound, that are surrounded by many things that are not of God. We pray that you would supernaturally resuscitate them… supernaturally rejuvenate them…
Lord, we pray for a redirecting of churches and pastors and leaders and missionaries and teachers and prophets … that there would come a wholesale realignment… realignment to hearts and lives and ministries and households and businesses … realigning with heaven, realigning with the purpose of God, realigning with their destiny, realigning with Jesus.
We pray for the former and the latter rain coming together. We have to have it, Father.
It can’t be secret anymore…
Secret… It can’t be a secret anymore… We pray for an unfolding of the prophetic events that have been communicated to us in scripture and through modern day prophets and visions. We pray for an unfolding now, constructing now, a revealing now of those things… in fullness… in specificity in glory in power… not just talked about or read about, but Father, we pray that we would start seeing it … witnessing it …
