Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Worship leader…
Good morning, everybody. I really love reading Psalm 27. I’ve read it in, I don’t know how many translations now. Verse 4 in the Message translation says it this way: “I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing to live with Him in His house. My whole lifelong, I’ll contemplate His beauty. I’ll study at His feet.”
Now, the psalmist, I think it was David who wrote this, had to go somewhere to get to the presence of the Lord. He didn’t have the Holy Spirit with him all the time like we’re blessed to have. But I think the sentiment can be the same, right?
To be aware of His presence.
To want Jesus more than anything.
To study His beauty and sit at His feet.
Prayed…
Jesus, that’s what we want this morning. We want to desire you more than anything else, to just sit here at your feet and worship you.
Pastor Heather…
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, worthy of all honor and praise and glory. Oh, we thank you, Father.
Picture the throne of God with His angels all around the throne…
You know, as we were singing, I was just picturing heaven. And sometimes we feel like it’s such a faraway place or a “We’ll get there someday” kind of a place. But right now in heaven, they’re worshiping Him, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, worthy of all honor and glory and praise.”
Just picture that. Picture angels around the throne worshiping Him.
Prayed…
Oh heaven, invade us, invade us, invade the earth. Invade this space, invade our hearts today, and remind us that we’re not alone. That heaven is so close. It’s just a whisper of a veil right now as it continues to invade the earth. Let your kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Thank you, Father. Heaven invade us, invade the space. Open our eyes to see the spirit realm, what you’re doing right now, even as we speak. Open our eyes. Remove that veil to see that people and sngels are worshiping at your throne. Even now, as we stand down on this earth and we figure out our days and our steps and we go through situations and trials, you have already overcome. You are on the throne. You are in control. So we remind our hearts today and we lift our eyes to where our help comes from. Thank you, Father.
I’m going to read Revelation chapter 4 in the Amplified. It is so powerful.
“After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like [the calling of] a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future. 2 At once I came under the [Holy] Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne! 3 And He Who sat there appeared like [the crystalline brightness of] jasper and [the fiery] sardius, and encircling the throne there was a halo that looked like [a rainbow of] emerald.”
Just picture that!
4 Twenty-four other thrones surrounded the throne, and seated on these thrones were twenty-four elders (the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin), arrayed in white clothing, with crowns of gold upon their heads. 5 Out from the throne came flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder, and in front of the throne seven blazing torches burned, which are the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit]; 6 And in front of the throne there was also what looked like a transparent glassy sea, as if of crystal. And around the throne, in the center at each side of the throne, were four living creatures (beings) who were full of eyes in front and behind [with intelligence as to what is before and at the rear of them]. 7 The first living creature (being) was like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature [was] like a flying eagle. 8 And the four living creatures, individually having six wings, were full of eyes all over and within [underneath their wings]; and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty (Omnipotent), Who was and Who is and Who is to come. 9 And whenever the living creatures offer glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sits on the throne, Who lives forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities), 10 The twenty-four elders (the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin) fall prostrate before Him Who is sitting on the throne, and they worship Him Who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before the throne, crying out, 11 Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and were created.”
Prayed…
So we say that today: Worthy are you, our Lord and God to receive the glory and the honor and the dominion.
We don’t want the glory. We don’t want the honor. You have the dominion. And you’ve given us that dominion to speak out. But the glory and that honor belongs to you, Father.
Dominion, over all things—holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy.
So we just picture that now, Father. Your throne and the creatures and the elders around your throne worshiping. And how beautiful that sight is. That is as the creatures cry out, “holy, holy, holy,” those elders, they bow, they fall before you and cast their crowns before you. And so we do that, Father, we lay our crowns down, whatever our crowns might be, whatever we feel we’ve gained or done right, we just lay that. We cast it before you. We cast it before you because you are the one who is holy and worthy. You have all dominion.
And so we refuse to get into fear or anxiety about the future for you have dominion. All power is in your hands.
And you will show us what to do.
You will show us where to go.
You will show us how to figure out that thing.
You will show us how to resolve that issue, that problem.
You will show us how to give glory and honor to your name with our lives as we lay our crowns down. Not for our glory. For your glory, for your honor.
Let’s just worship Him now in our hearts. Worship Him with your words…
Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven… in our lives, in our churches, in our families, in our communities, in our nation, on earth as it is in heaven…
Sister Barb Tafoya…
We have Heidi Baker coming here this coming weekend. And the Holy Spirit reminded me of a few years ago. Heidi Baker a lot of times she’ll go “HOLY!” Not quiet. And I asked the Lord about that. And I said, “What is that?” It caused me to think, “Hmmm, that’s pretty interesting.” I don’t know if you’ve ever seen her. But she’s not quiet about it. She’s not ashamed about it. And so I asked the Lord, “What is that?” Not to be judgmental, but “What is that? Why does she do that?”
And a few weeks later, I was here in morning prayer, and Pastor Ken was here and someone was doing music. And I walked up to the podium. And as I started to begin to speak, He gave me a glimpse… just the tiniest glimpse of His majesty. And I went “HOLY!”
And I said, “I understand. I see it.”
She’s seeing just like those four living creatures, every time they come around, they see something new in Him and they don’t go, “holy, holy…” They go, “HOLY! HOLY!” I mean, it was not something that I controlled myself. I can understand how God says, “every knee shall bow” because when they see Him for who He is, down you go and “HOLY IS HE!”
And we tend to be quiet about it. We tend to be “Okay, we’re going to worship.” “holy.” Oh, we saw something amazing. Praise the Lord! Holy.
NO! It’s “HOLY, HOLY is the Lord. He is HOLY!”
Let Him open your eyes. Get just the tiniest glimpse of that new thing in Him, that thing He wants you to see and to discover in Him, the glory that just drives you to your knees, not even of your own volition because of His amazing presence and His power.
And so we cry…
“HOLY today, Lord! HOLY is the Lord God Almighty. And we thank you for opening our eyes today. Give us that glimpse, even the tiniest glimpse, Father, that throws us to our knees and to magnify you, to glorify you, Lord. We look today! Open our eyes to see you. Everything you have, everything you are… Revelation, come! Sight, come in Jesus’ name. That we would enter into that worship of heaven, that we would enter into that holy place in heaven, Father, and worship you the way you need to be worshiped, to honor you the way you need to be honored, for you are glorious, and magnificent, and worthy of all praise. There is no one like you. No one comes close to who you are.
What do you want from God…
So what is it that you want from God today?
Do you want to understand something?
Do you want to see something?
Did you know that He loves curious people. He loves people that inquire. “I want to know what that is.” You just ask Him. He says, “Today, here’s My hand. I extend it to you. Take what you want. Ask Me for what you want. Take it from My hand. It’s yours.”
You want to see something?
You want to experience something that you’ve seen on someone else?
You want to flow in the anointing like you’ve seen other people flow in… past or current?
He says it’s yours for the asking. “I’ll show you. I’ll open your eyes. I’ll lead you. Just receive it today.” He wants you to experience Him in the fullness, the fullness, everything He has. Everything He is, is yours today. And all you have to do is take it.
We humble ourselves before you today. We thank you for everything you’re doing in us and through us and for us, Father. You are so amazing.
Pastor Heather…
Breathe Him in. Let Him go to those deep, deep, deep, deep, deep places like oil, just running and running and running. Saturating dry places, irritated places, cynical places, self-ambitious places.
Father, come and wash us now with the water of your Word and your presence. Cleanse us. Let our thoughts be your thoughts. Let us become more like you as we abide and dwell in your presence.
I sense… I see like a callous, like we’re soaking a callous. Some of us have some calluses that need some soaking in His presence, softening areas of our hearts, our personalities, our situations. Softening, softening, softening.
Just as we sit in His presence, just as we worship Him, as we behold Him, as we abide in Him, come and do that work in us, Father. We give you permission. We yield to your spirit.
Thank you that we’re changed from glory to glory, to be more like you.
Father, you’re molding us, softening things, removing things, pushing out things, giving us boldness and courage for things.
You’ve called us to awakening dreams, stirring up calls and gifts, fanning flames and fires of passion.
Oh, awaken us, Father, awaken us.
Let us not be lulled asleep by the way of the world… by busyness… by distraction. But that we stay awake, alert.
Oh, refreshing now. Refreshing. Refreshing. Refreshing.
Awakening. Awakening hearts now…
Now equipping, equipping, equipping us to do what you’ve called us to do for this season
Whatever it is, I say, “Yes, Lord.”
And tomorrow morning when I wake up, I say, “Yes, Lord.”
And the next day I wake up, I say, “Yes, Lord.”
And I just continue to say, “Yes, yes, yes, yes to your will and your way.”
