We rest in You, Lord, assured that You’ve done it. We believe America is moving more toward Your right ways.
Pretty much everyone knows that the President and First Lady were tested positive for Covid-10, so there’s all kinds of wacko things being said already. But we know the Word is true and we’ve covered them and prayed over them and we’ll do it again this morning. But first, I want to remind you when we get to November and we’re voting, I’m just reminded of when brother Kenneth Copeland was here standing on the stage with Pastor Mac. He laid out the platforms of the two parties. The party platforms. We want to keep standing on the right platform, standing on the Word, of course, and continually calling our nation to elect godly leaders that are standing on the right platform.
Without going into a lot about that, I did hear that there are some believers telling people, “You’re not going to go to hell if you vote for the wrong platform.” Well, who said you would? Our salvation is not based on who we vote for, for sure. There are consequences, of course. But it was a backwards kind of way to try to convince Christians they don’t have to necessarily look at the platform. To me, it was another way the enemy tried to get the church to not vote for godly leaders.
I saw this, this morning. I have a book on this man’s life. His name is Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He lived in Germany during Hitler’s rule. He stood up for what he knew was right in the face of every negative thing. This is a quote from him. “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.” Just being quiet. “God will not hold us guiltless,” if we’re just sitting back and not say anything. “Not to speak is to speak and not to act is to act.” So we’ll be praying over the President for sure and our nation but I wanted to bring that up that we cannot not act or speak. And we have freedom to speak what the Word says and we know the Word is true. God is on the scene. I want to go over a couple things and then worship a little more. I’ll pray down this confession.
2nd Chronicles 5:13–14 (Amplified): “And when the trumpeters and singers were joined in unison…” That’s how I see us when we get in agreement in prayer. We’re in unity, one accord. And then things happen. “And when the trumpeters and singers were joined in unison, making one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and other instruments for song and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever, then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.”
I just got a revelation about that right now. It’s not just a building. We’d say this is a church, this is the house of God. And that’s true. We believe for that but when it says, “Then the house of the Lord was filled.” I believe that’s for us personally. We are the house. We’re “houses” of the Lord, the precious Holy Spirit of God. Then when it said the priests could not stand to minister because of the glory of the Lord filled the house, they couldn’t stand under the presence of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord.
Then 2nd Chronicles 7:1, “When Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house. 2 The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.” In this case, they couldn’t even get into the temple. That’s all leading up to 2nd Chronicles 7:14,15,16.
“If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place. For I have chosen and sanctified (set apart for holy use) this house, that My Name may be here forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually.”
Then in Jeremiah 5:31, “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests exercise rule at their own hands and by means of the prophets. And My people love to have it so! But what will you do when the end comes?”
So here we have a situation where false prophets were declaring things and the people actually went with the false prophets. It’s not any different right now. There are people lying and actually saying “this is the way it is” when it isn’t that way. They’re actually almost like false prophets. They’re trying to declare this is the way it is. This is the way we need to go and so on… It’s the same today. We’re not going with the lies or the inaccuracies or a platform that is arrayed with death. The death of babies and it goes on and on. Death of marriage. I know you get it. Let’s look at Jeremiah 6:16: “Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it!” In this case, the people didn’t want to do that. They didn’t want to walk in the old ways. We do! In the ways of God. And that’s why we’re back over here in Chronicles and Jeremiah. But then Jeremiah 7:1 says, “The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house and proclaim there this word and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust not in the lying words [of the false prophets who maintain that God will protect Jerusalem because His temple is there], saying, This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.”
So don’t trust in the lying words of false prophets. We’re not going to do that. We’ve moving our nation in the right way, in the right plan. Let’s read Jeremiah 29:11 while we’re here. “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. 12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. 13 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
It always goes back to our hearts. All of our prayers, we must get out of our minds, get out of the natural and always just get in our heart of hearts. That is the desire is to be in our heart of hearts, declaring things that must change, speaking words that will rearrange and change and declaring this is the way it will be on this earth. Just like Jesus when He spoke on the boat “Be still.” And the storm calmed down. Hallelujah! It’s so important to speak His Word.

I got a text from a friend who said there’s been a precedence set in the Word where God brilliantly moves in. There’s all kind of precedents, all kinds of things in the Bible where the power of God moved in and changed a situation. So it goes on to say, “God is brilliantly strategizing on behalf of America. He said that He blesses those that bless Israel. Our President has been the most honoring of Israel than any other President. This will test our resolve…” speaking about covid, “and we are resolved that we will continually see the goodness of God.” We’re resolved! This doesn’t cause us to tremble in fear. I actually believe that President Trump and the First Lady, obviously they’re quaranteened for at least ten days, they will come out of that ten-day period stronger than there were before. “Some people thing President Trump is too strong, but he’s going to come out stronger than he was before, in Jesus’ name.” So let’s go down and pray this.
A Prayer for Our Nation
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus on behalf of the United States of America. I pray for a shield of divine protection over this country and for insight and uncovering of all terrorist activity. I rebuke the spirit of fear, terror and division. It has no place here.
Father, You said the heart of the king is in Your hand, and You turn it whichever way You choose. So I ask You to direct the heart and mind of President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence. I pray for the wisdom of God, that they make the right decisions. I pray for their divine strength and health. I set myself in agreement with them that we receive these things in Jesus’ name. I give thanks that our government is upon Jesus’ shoulder, and I hold up in prayer all the men and women in positions of authority over us in any way. I am lifting up the three branches of government, Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, at every level. State, local and federal. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon them and a hedge of protection surrounds them.
I believe skillful and godly wisdom enters into their hearts and knowledge is pleasant to them. Discretion watches over them. Understanding keeps them and delivers them from evil and from evil men. Lord, I believe You give them revelation of Your perfect will, and all their decisions are divinely directed by You. I thank You, Lord, for bringing change to the politics of our nation. Thank You for changing the voices of influence to speak in agreement with Your Word. I ask You to send laborers, filled with Spirit of wisdom and might to surround our leaders with godly counsel and insight. I also ask You to remove from positions of authority those who stubbornly oppose righteousness and replace them with men and women who will follow You and Your appointed course for America. Your Word declares that “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” I receive Your blessing and declare with my mouth that Your people dwell safely in this land and they prosper abundantly.
You said in Your Word that if Your people would turn from their wicked ways and pray. You would heal the land. So, Lord, I repent for the sins of this nation. I ask that You would cleanse us and forgive us for idolatry, witchcraft, the sin of abortion, what we have done to the sanctity of marriage and the spirit of division we have allowed to rule in our nation and every kind of disobedience. Grant this nation a spirit of repentance and cover with Your mercy. As we turn back to You, Lord, I believe our land is being healed.
As we enter the final hours of the last days, I ask for the spirit of faith, the working of miracles, for signs, wonders, gifts, and demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and power to be in strong operation. Let believers in the United States and in every land be unified to stand strong in faith in Jesus, the Anointed One and His Anointing that Your glory may be revealed in all the earth.
I thank You that the good news of the gospel is published in our land, and Your Word prevails and grows mightily in the hearts and lives of the people. I declare that Jesus is Lord over these United States!
Thank You, Lord, that these requests come to pass, I believe I receive, In Jesus’ name. Amen!
