Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Brother DJ…
Good morning, everybody.
Father, we worship you on this good Friday. We just want to say thank you for this good Friday.
Friday the 13th…
I just found out that today is Friday the 13th. Friday the 13th is called… some kind of not good or evil or something dark, like bad luck. But I go, “Oh, okay. But this is the day the Lord has made. Even though it’s Friday the 13th or 10th or 11th, it’s still a good, good Friday. I said, “Okay, we’ll remember that.
Be not ignorant of the enemy’s devices…
But you know what the Bible says… This scripture came to me this morning. The Bible says, “Do not be deceived of the devices of Satan.” (2 Cor. 2:11, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”) When I heard this verse this morning, in my heart, in my thoughts, I said, “Devices! So Satan has devices. He is clever.” He said do not be ignorant of Satan’s devices.
Verse 10 talks about forgiveness…
So I open up the scripture to look at it. And I said, “Let’s see what verse before it says.” You know what verse 10 says? Paul said, I forgive you and others. So I have done my part. When I read this scripture, Pastor Melanie, he’s trying to tell us Satan has devices if we don’t forgive. This scripture says to not ignore or forsake his devices. Satan has devices. But before you read, the Word says because I have forgiven you guys and others, that means unforgiveness is a device of the enemy.
Unforgiveness opens the door to the enemy’s devices…
The enemy wants us to keep unforgiveness in our hearts. And that’s his devices. No wonder it says “forgive our sins as we forgive others.” So as we pray this morning… We have many things to pray about. So rejoice in the Lord. Again, I say rejoice! Because we have to pray a lot. And we going to pray. Pray. The Bible says to pray unceasingly. Pray all the time. Men should pray… what? All the time! He said to pray that we not fall in temptation. So prayer has something to do with this. And forgiveness is Satan’s device.
When I read this morning or heard from the Lord, I said, “Let’s look at the scripture. Why it’s coming to me—Do not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy.” So I search my heart to know what or who is the person I need to forgive this morning or this day? Or do I have a grudge against somebody? And there were one or two, maybe more so…
Forgiveness opens heaven…
Oh, Father, I forgive them… I forgive her. Oh, I forgive him for what he did to me. He cheated me. Oh, what they did to me. Let’s forgive them. Even Jesus said on the cross, “Forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.” So forgiveness opens heaven. And it’s the device of the enemy to keep unforgiveness in our heart. So let’s forgive them.
We are redeemed from the curse of the law…
About the Friday the 13th, I learned something. I say, you know what? We have everything in the
Word. Let’s use the Word of God against this Friday the 13th. What does Galatians 3:13 say? It says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.” So we’re not going to worry about Friday the 13th. We’re going to say Galatians 3:13, “Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, curse of poverty, curse of sin, sickness, disease, all that. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, therefore, we forgive others as the Father has forgiven us.” And He’s a good, good Father! Pastor Melanie, lead us into worship and praise this morning.
Sister Cindy…
Earlier, Pastor Melanie was singing that He’s a good, good Father. And usually something will jump out at me when she’s singing. And what jumped out at me was He’s perfect in all of His ways. He is perfect in all of His ways. His ways can be trusted. We can trust Him.
The Father is perfecting us…
And this morning I’m sitting in the living room and I’m meditating on His perfectness and how He’s perfecting us. And that doesn’t mean that we look all glossy and shiny on the outside. He’s perfecting our heart. He’s making us more like Him. His ways are perfect. They’re above the scrutiny of man. They’re good and only good. There’s no shadow of turning.
He’s a good, good Father.
And His perfectness is His motives. His motives and intents of His heart are pure and perfect. He’s setting us free. He’s delivering us from ourselves. Self-referential life is going and God-referential life is coming in. And His life is a life that is love. And thinking more highly of others than we do ourselves. Self takes a backseat. Self is just a forgetting thing because God takes care of us. Hallelujah. And He’s perfecting us as we walk with Him every day because…
He’s a good, good Father.
And He’s fathering us. And He’s making things to pop out and bloom and fruit in ways we never expected because He is desiring that His fruit would be born through us. Hallelujah.
And, Father, we’re taking a deep dive into that heart today and we’re learning your ways, for your ways are easy and refreshing and get our eyes off ourselves, which is not easy and refreshing. You have your way, Lord, today.
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be thy name. You’ve given us your name and by your name and the exceeding great power by which you translated us out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of your dear Son. That’s resurrection power.
By that power, we live.
By that power, we are transformed.
By that power, we exercise it by faith.
Developing more and more in the sunshine of your good pleasure. In the motives of your heart, you are filling our minds with the mind of Christ. Your thoughts, your motives and intents of your heart… your purpose… because…
He’s a good, good Father.
And we’re adoring you, Father. Adoration and praises to our Father. You’re the best Father ever. You are our Father. We love you and our hearts burst with joy, knowing that you are ours and we are yours.
So have your way, your beautiful way. And it’s always surprising and delighting.
Many are the plans in the heart of a man, but God’s purpose, His direction, His purpose prevails.
He’s fathering us. He’s walking with us. He’s making known life and how it is to be perceived by doing life with Him.
Everything becomes an object lesson of His grace and goodness.
Father, we don’t hold our lives dear unto ourselves, but our lives are hidden in Christ. Our lives are to be read because they’re being written down by your pen.
So we thank you, Father, for the transformation that happens when we’re not looking at ourselves.
And like DJ said, we were forgiving those that trespass against us. So you have forgiven all our trespasses: past, present, and future.
You lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from ourselves.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever, never to cease.
And we just thank you for that love. Without that love, we wouldn’t know or be able to exercise our authority because that authority is rooted in the love of God.
And what do we do? We exercise our authority. Having the mind of Christ, having the heart directives from His perfect ways being made manifest.
So we take authority over all the lawlessness, over all the usury and robbery, all the deception, all the plans and plots of the evil one over our state and nation, over our cities.
We love Minnesota. We love Minneapolis and St. Paul. We send the love of God.
There’s a scripture. I’m not sure exactly where it is, but He said He has many people in the city. There will be safety. It will be safe for you because He’s got people strategically in places like salt and light peppered all over throughout the city, throughout the state.
Woman shares…
Right now, I want you to remember, we are under an open heaven. The heavens are open completely to us. And as we lift up tomorrow, Flag Day and the President’s birthday and the military parade and all the things that are happening right now in our nation and maybe in Minnesota…
But in our nation, first off, we take our seat in the heavenlies, knowing that we are one with the Father. We are one with the Son. We are one with the Spirit. And we take our seat and we look down on this situation. And, Father, I see angels surrounding our capital, surrounding all the points of interest.
That there is not a thought in the enemy’s plan or in his mind that God has not already preempted.
That God has already set in store his demise.
That all things that happen will come to naught because God is in control and Jesus is Lord over our nation.
And we plead the blood of Jesus over our nation. Every location that God wants His angels there, we loose them in Jesus’ name. That the military parade will be celebrated the way it’s supposed to be. That celebration will come from the hearts of the people.
Father, I ask for a right spirit to come through all the nation and that the media not spin it to a wrong thing, but Father, that a correct sweet spirit of strength in America because God is our source, that you are the one that is in control.
So we celebrate the nation that you have brought up, that you have the military might, that you have given us. And we are thankful and we hold a parade and we celebrate all that you’ve done, all the victories you’ve given us over all the years. And we celebrate this and the enemy will not steal this, in Jesus’ name.
Woman prayed…
I wanted to pray quickly for Israel this morning. Iran has partnered with Hezbollah and Hamas and said they’re going to wipe out Israel. And Iran is very close within days of having 15 different nuclear weapons. So Israel has just released an attack today on Iran. And so let’s just pray for protection over Israel, protection over that nation.
And then also, President Trump. They have called to take out President Trump. I think today or tomorrow, there was a call for people that are in the really intense group that is connected with Hamas. And so let’s just pray for protection. Let’s just pray in the spirit.
You have called President Trump for such a time as this. And as our President, we cover him with the blood of Jesus. As our leader, we cover him with the blood of the Lamb. We thank you that no weapon formed against him will prosper. No evil plan or plot of the enemy formed against him will prosper.
Father, we thank you that you know his days, that you know every hair on his head that you have good plans and thoughts for him. And we thank you that only the plans of the Lord will be walked out. Only the plans of the Father will be prevailing in this nation and in his life. We just thank you right now for the hand of the Lord that is strong to save, the strong arm of the Lord that is willing and able to save all those who call upon His name. We thank you, Father, for protection over President Trump today.
We thank you for a wall of fire around him. We thank you, Lord, that you were leading him and guiding him like a cloud by day and a fire at night. That he would walk in the calling of the Lord on his life, that he would walk in the steps of the Lord. Would you quicken to him even today… speak to him, that he would walk in your ways for in the center of your will is where we’re the safest. So we just thank you, Father, that you bring President Trump into the perfect will of Jesus.
We pray over the connection with President Trump and Israel. We pray that there would be nothing that would disturb that connection, that America and Israel will be eternally connected in this world and in the nations and in the plan of God forever.
And that President Trump and Israel will complete the tasks that God has planned for this day, this time.
