Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader Cindy…
Good morning, everybody.
Enjoying His presence…
We’re enjoying the sweet presence of the Lord always, all throughout the day, and even as we sleep at night. We have His presence with us. Nothing can compare. Nothing in this world. Any thought or feeling. Welcome everybody out there and everybody here in the chapel.
He is the Lord that heals us…
This scripture is coming up in my heart. “I am the Lord God who healeth thee.” Jesus is walking and He’s going to the pool of Bethesda. And He gets to this man who is waiting for the “moving of the water.” An angel went down. This was what he was waiting for. The angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water. And whoever stepped in it first at the stirring of the water was made well of whatever disease he had.
John 5:2 NKJV…
2 “Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.”
The force of disappointment…
Verse 5 says, “Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity 38 years.”
That’s a long time.
There’s like some strongholds there. Maybe he had tried several times. Obviously, he did. He’d be going down there and disappointment had set in. The Force of Disappointment. Pastor Mac has a series on that. It gets to be a stronghold because you believe, but your head is like going, “I know how this is going to go down.” It’s speaking to us, but we need to shut the voice of our brain down.
Analogy to a baseball game…
I was talking to Goke yesterday, and I was like, “Sometimes I see it like a baseball game, and the coach is saying to our brain, ‘Get on that bench. You’re not in the game right now.’” This is just going for the spirit, and your spirit is saying, “Get up to the bat and swing with your whole might. Shut your brain down.”
And you can do it!
You can quiet your brain down and you can tell your brain, “Now listen, you’re to be quiet now and just watch and learn.” Because that’s where understanding comes from—from the experience of God in the face of the pattern of thought that we have.
Say to your brain, “BE QUIET!”
It’s subtle, too, sometimes. It can talk you out of… Even when you’re doing it, you just need to say, “Be quiet and listen and learn,” because I don’t know how it’s going to all go down. But the Spirit of the Lord is telling me to get up to bat, and He is the umpire of our faith. The peace of God that passes all understanding. Because we’re learning by experience. And the understanding that we’re gaining is the understanding that He is God after all. And by experience, we know it. And off with our heads! So to speak.
Verse 5 continued…
“Now a certain man who had an infirmity 38 years, when Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be healed?’” Sometimes, that force of disappointment can lead you to a place where you just want somebody to feel sorry for you. Because you’re figuring that’s the bar of my comfort.
God has commissioned us to be that stirring of the water…
God has a higher bar and that’s complete deliverance and healing and wholeness. And Jesus says, “Arise, take up your bed and walk. And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed and walked.” And that’s what He is doing. He’s commissioned us to be that stirring of the water.
We’re to talk to the stronghold of disappointment…
So when we’re talking about being in the river today, we’re all just kind of like jumping in the water, and I saw us splashing around, splashing around. There’s so much healing available through the church, the commissioned ones, the ones that are called to speak to the discouragement, the disappointment, the locking of the stronghold of fear that it’s ever going to get any better. And the frustration of knowing that the experiences… “I’ve tried and tried and tried, and this is how it goes.”
But we come and we stir up the waters of God. We stir them up today.
DJ prayed…
Father, we pray for every man and woman who live in our churches.
We’re not going to pray. We’re going to believe and ask God Almighty.
We’re going to pray for long time sickness, disease.
We can be healed this morning.
Longtime issue in the marriage relationship or whatever, be resolved this morning.
Longtime financial situation, no more long time.
He said today is the day of salvation.
Today is the day of healing.
Today is the day of deliverance.
Today is the day of recovery.
This morning in the name of Jesus is a day of restoration with your children.
Today is a day for your broken relations for too long.
He said it was too long he was sitting there.
We speak life to your body.
We speak life to your children.
We speak life to your marriage.
We speak life to your businesses.
Cindy prayed…
You are appointed to be well and grow up.
And not just grow up, but flourish in the way that you should go.
The Lord has appointed it.
Today is the day of salvation.
Today is the day to apprehend that which was apprehended for you.
Life, not that you would just have it, but that you would enjoy it to the full, until it overflows.
Mighty is our God, and He is strong to save to the uttermost.
It’s not too late. You’re right on time.
In a moment, in an instant, He’s the God of our salvation.
He’s restoring all things unto Himself.
So we enter in the life of God and displacing everything that would stick to us is easily washed off in the living waters of the pool of His good pleasure.
So we stirred up today and it never ends.
Shared…
We draw waters from the wells of salvation. But Jesus said, “You will have a well that will spring up and never end.” And it’s full of life, and it’s bringing life. Real-time life, all the time, quickening. We have the life of the living God.
Somebody said one time, “How can you as a finite vessel contain the infinite living God?” We open our hands and let Him flow. Let Him flow.
DJ prayed…
So this morning everybody who’s watching here, we feel charged.
Charged in the Holy Ghost.
Charged with the joy of the Lord.
Charged with the peace of God.
Charged with the flow of God.
Charged with the life of God.
Charged in the name of Jesus.
