Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Well, it is great to be with you all once again this Friday, the 10th of April. Good to be with y’all here in the chapel. Welcome everyone who’s joining with us online on our different platforms. Welcome! My name is Ken. And I am looking forward to praying with you today.

This morning, I have a couple different things I want to share with you. And to begin with, I want to read an excerpt that describes prayer in a unique or a bit more of a postmodern way, just to kind of give you a point of reflection before we pray this morning.

Matthew 7:7…

And before I do that, I want to read a passage that may be familiar to you, even so it’s good to be reminded and just let this turn over in your heart a little bit. It’s found in Matthew 7:7. It’s written in red, as somebody once said. That means, Jesus uttered these words. He was teaching His disciples one day and He said, “Ask and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives.”

Somebody, say, “Receives!”

We’re going to receive today. We’re going to receive His assignment, but we’re going to receive His blessing and His download for each of our lives as well. So for “everyone who asks, receives. And he who seeks, finds. And to him who knocks, it will be opened.”

Matthew 7:9…

Verse nine says, “What man among you, if his son asks for bread will give him a stone. Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE…” Let that phrase resonate in your spirit this morning. How much more? A whole lot more… above and beyond what we can ask or think, more. How much more?

Let me pick it up on verse nine. “Or what man is there among you, if his son asked for bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” Now, kind of connect that to this that I’m going to share right now, just as point of reflection and just kind of stir your heart for prayer this morning.

It says this…

“Prayers interface with the physical reality.” I don’t know about you, but I can use some interfacing with my physical reality sometimes, right? In other words, prayer applies the power, the grace, the wisdom, the strategy of God to our present worldly realities. Why is that? Because we need change. Because there needs to be an alignment with our present reality to God’s plan.

It says…

“Where spiritual energy is converted into tangible effects in the material world. Prayer is not just asking for things, but it’s, in fact, participating in the fundamental creative force in the spiritual and natural realms. The force of faith, the force of God’s creative power. Aren’t you glad that God’s creative power is as available to us today as it was in the Genesis account, when the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the deep, the chaos, the darkness, the craziness that was going on in the earth realm at that time. The Spirit of God brooded, hovered over that realm and the creative power of God through the Holy Spirit went to work to bring order out of chaos, to bring transformation, to bring change, to bring creation, to bring all things good into the reality of this new dawning dispensation.”

Well, guess what?

That same creative power, His same anointing is available for us today to be engaged with, to be received, to be expected to hover over the chaos in our lives, in our world, in our situations, to bring order out of that chaos. Glory to God.

We have underestimated what God is capable of doing…

We have way, way, way underestimated what God is capable of doing. Not just in biblical times, but in present times. These are very biblical times, and God intends for there to be great displays of creative power in people’s lives, in churches, in communities, in whole nations, in this hour. We are in that hour that was prophesied long ago—the hour of the former and the latter reigns coming together…

To bring about a culmination
To bring about a demonstration
To bring about God’s great plan in all its fullness
To bring it into full display in your life and in mine

His power is available to do what needs to be done…

And I don’t know about you, but I am just reminded that God is great and God is good and His power is available to do what needs to be done, including in your body physically this morning where you need healing, including in your family, including in your finances.

I refuse to stay stuck in the status quo. I refuse to put up with things and circumstances that clearly the atoning work of Jesus paid the price for me to be free of. Free from sickness, disease, and pain. Your lot in life is not to cope and try to struggle through until Jesus returns or your number is called and you get promoted to heaven.

No! Our lot in life is that we would contend in the spirit and based on the promises of His Word, that we would stand on the reality of the atoning work of Jesus and say, “Yes, Lord, this ought to be so in my life. This will be so in my life.”

Whether it’s healing or provision
Whether it’s direction and fresh vision
Whether it’s salvation for my whole household
Whether it’s a next step in the present season of my life that I my must take

Because the will of God must be done…

My Bible still proclaims that you and I will live and do all of the will of God. Not just survive and barely get by but thrive! Yes, there will be seasons when you have to keep walking. Like the phrase in Nemo, “Just keep swimming.” Just keep swimming. Just keep walking. If you’re going through that valley that has shadows that appear like the death of you or the downfall of you or the defeat of you, pay no attention to that. Look away from all that distracts unto Jesus, the author, continuer, and ultimate finisher of your faith.

You do not have to put up with the status quo
You do not have to live in perpetual pain
You do not have to be bogged down and stuck in a past

Because of how you were raised or what you went through. Jesus came to inaugurate. That’s the message of Easter that wasn’t just a reminder last weekend, but every day of our lives should remind us that Jesus came to inaugurate a revolution of how we live and how we do what we do in this earthly realm as we’re passing through from one dimensionality to the other.

Come on now! Where are those called of God, earmarked with the presence of God, robed with righteousness, called out of a generation to be warriors of faith, fighting that good fight of faith, standing and believing personally and beyond for what God says should be.

This excerpt goes on to say…

“Prayer is not just asking for things. It’s participating in the fundamental creative force in the spiritual and natural realms. Different kinds of prayer produce different kinds of results. When multiple people pray…” In other words, in collective prayer, prayer of agreement.  “When they pray for the same thing, their prayer energies intertwine and amplify each other.” That’s why the Bible says “if one can put a thousand to flight, two can put 10,000 to flight.”

“There are prayer energies intertwined and that amplify each other, creating powerful resonance patterns that can literally move mountains.”

Isn’t that what Jesus said in Mark 11:23. Give the Holy Spirit permission to help you pay attention to what you’re saying day to day. Not just in morning prayer. But when you kneel in the name of Jesus. As you go throughout your day, invite the Holy Spirit to arrest you, to point out to you your patterns and what you’re saying. Because what you’re saying is what you’re praying. Your words! Your words release life or death as we know.

So this goes on to say…

“That can literally move mountains. Collective prayer generates power and opens channels for divine intervention.” Oh, that’s good. So keep that in mind as we pray this morning. “Collective prayer generates power and opens channels for divine intervention in ways individual prayer cannot accomplish. Prayer doesn’t change God’s mind, but it does change what’s possible within the framework of free will and divine law. When humans pray, they’re not convincing God to act differently. Instead, they’re participating in the process of creation itself. We live in an age where many have lost faith in prayer’s effectiveness.” Or you could say “prayers power.”

“However, it still is a force that shapes the universe. Your prayers matter more to you than you know. Prayer is not just asking for help, but it’s joining in the work of creation. Prayer is a real force that shapes reality in ways we’re only beginning to understand. Every prayer matters. It’s joining in God’s ongoing work in the world. Prayer creates ripples of change in the world. Prayer is far more real than most of us imagine. It’s not just a supernatural practice. It’s a fundamental force that shapes reality itself.”

And I would add to it: sustains our reality.

“When we pray, we’re not just asking for change. We are becoming a part of the change itself.”

God desires to bring change in the physical arena…

You know, one of the arenas that God desires to bring change is in the physical arena. Does anybody need physical healing today? Online? If you’re online, put some prayer emojis or say amen to that. I just want to add this to the conversation here this morning. Just to inspire you, if you’re living with pain, if you know of someone or there’s somebody in your family that’s recently received a negative doctor’s report or has been battling perennial illness or has a terminal diagnosis of some kind, can I just interrupt your thought patterns and say, God is still the God of healing and intends to bring about change in that situation. If you can find someone who will agree with Him, someone who will believe in the atoning work of Jesus as I referenced earlier, because His power and ability is as available and capable today as it ever was. When we feel the touch of death in our lives, when we see it meddling in our families or in someone we love, or in a situation that God draws our attention to, it shouldn’t just cause us to say, “Oh, that’s sad.”

I believe as end time believers, it should cause us to get indignant and angry. Anger is a godly emotion, if you channel it in the right way. And we should be righteously indignant about death, about pain, about infirmity, about cancer, about something that’s malfunctioning in your body. That’s a prayer to be righteously, indignant. Not just about sickness, but about anything the enemy is doing in our world or our lives.

God is looking for a people to rise up…

And I guess what I’m trying to articulate is that God is looking for a people who will rise up. Come on now! To allow that holy fire to rise up in us and take hold together with us and say…

No! We’re not going to have this.
No! I’m not going to put up with this.
No! I’m not going to live with this.

Because healing is equally a part of the redemptive work of Jesus, as is salvation and the forgiveness of our sins.
