Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning, everybody.
I’ve reflecting about the fact that the stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. And Jesus is alive! Amen? And as we sang that song, Jesus stands undefeated. And we stand with Him. Glory to God. We have so much to be grateful for.
God is going to see us through…
God is going to see America through to the fulfillment of our call and our destiny as a nation. God is going to see you through. You can take that as a word this morning. God is going to see you through to the finish line. Whatever He started, whatever good work He’s inaugurated in you, no matter how long ago that may have been, or soon or recent, it was, I just prophesy over you—God is faithful! The good work that He’s begun in us, He will continue it. He will continue to develop it. And He will bring, as one Bible translation says, the work in you and through you to a flourishing finish. He’s going to see you through to your destination, to the outcome of your faith.
That’s why the Bible says, “rejoice with joy unspeakable and be filled with the glory of God. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! You better believe there’s nothing but celebration. Nothing but light. Nothing but optimism. Nothing but God in the heavenly realm.
Well, we’re participating in that realm through worship, through prayer, through our citizenship now being found in His kingdom, not just this world.
Don’t give the enemy one iota of space…
Don’t you dare let the enemy talk you out of what God has said to you, what He’s promised you. Don’t give him a foothold. Don’t give him one iota of space. Don’t allow him to harass you. You have the right to run him out the door, so to speak, in your life, in your mind, in your emotions, in your children, in your nation.
Come on now! I’m telling you, we are on the victory side with Him. We’re on the victory side! Aren’t you glad you don’t have to live and move and have your being and decide how your day’s going to go based on what you see or what happened yesterday?
We’ve got inside information…
We’ve got, as someone once said, “inside information.” That He is the God who always causes us to triumph. That He is the God that is all knowing and all powerful and had a plan before the enemy ever decided to do whatever he did. He had a plan. Before you messed up…
He had a plan for your comeback
A plan for your success.
A plan for you to go forward and to flourish and to thrive, and to prosper.
You and your children. You and your church. Hallelujah! Glory to God in the highest!
Sometimes I think that’s all God is waiting on is for us to get to praising and worshiping. It’s a high form of prayer. And I don’t know about you, I’ve had the experience that I know many others, and I see it in the Word where a lot of miraculous things, that completely boggled and refuted what the enemy was doing in the earth at the time.
Things happen when we worship…
Miraculous things happen when God’s people got to praising and worshiping.
Walls fell down.
Jail cell doors swung open.
Bodies were healed.
I’ve received healing before just by getting over… I had to press but got over into worship and praise and boasting in the Lord. So much so that I just got caught up in God in the Spirit. I lost track of my symptoms. I lost track of what the enemy was harassing me with. And before I knew it, I realized I was in the middle of what God had promised. The power of God was flowing and there was nothing the enemy could do about it. Praise God. Hallelujah!
It’s our worship. It’s our praise. It’s our boasting in the Lord that sends out heavenly vibrations that brings down the gates of hell, that brings down enemy strongholds and makes a way where there doesn’t appear to be a way.
I’m just here to remind you this morning that God has called us to not be a people who reflect always on the past, but a people who are prophetic. That we’re to be prophetic. Using your voice, using your words, God’s Word on your tongue as a sword to divide and separate, run the enemy through and make a way. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
This is bottom-line Christianity…
This isn’t just a bunch of Christianese or faith speak. This is bottom-line Christianity. Glory to God. The Bible says this of Abraham. And maybe you’re finding yourself in a place where you’re in this middle ground where you have not seen the result of your prayer and you haven’t seen the breakthrough that you are expecting. Well, guess what? It’s not over yet. God’s not through with you. He’s not through with me. He’s not through with the church. We are at the point of the consummation of the ages.
And the Bible tells us in 1st Peter 4 to “be alert and be sober and use your time wisely for the practice of prayer.” Because even though maybe we’ve seen some positive signs in the election for Christianity and for God’s initiatives in America and beyond, this is no time to back off or to relent or to yield in some way and just stay in a place of… “Oh, look what God did,” or, “look what’s happening here.”
No! God has far bigger and greater things in mind than even just the election here in the United States. He’s interested in reaping the precious fruit of the earth. He’s interested in wrapping up, consummating this age and opening up a whole new one.
He desires that none should be lost and that all would be saved.
He desires that nations would align as sheep nations and not goat nations.
He desires for His glory to be put on display before a generation of men and women of all ages.
The church can’t rest on her laurels…
And that’s going to require a collaboration of the church, not resting on her laurels, but leaning in and praying like never before. Getting excited as we go, that God is going to do so much more. And it says in Romans 4 of Abraham, who was well past age, that it was beyond concept in the natural that he would become a father at all at 100 years old and Sarah at 90. Yet there’s something about faith. There’s something about a forward-leaning expectation in God and what He’s promised you in your spirit and in His Word that goes to work to create the reality of what He intends, regardless of what the news media is reporting, regardless of what your senses are telling you.
Because He’s God…
After all, we decided to follow Him. Because He’s God. He’s outside of time and space. He can do the impossible. In fact, He likes to do the impossible. He prefers to do the impossible, to redeem what’s hopeless and broken and repurpose it for something glorious.
I believe He’s doing that in your life and in America for this end time last move of God.
Abraham didn’t waver…
But it says of Abraham, even though there was no reason for him to have faith, it says no unbelief or distrust, in the Amplified Bible, made him waver. That’s one thing worship will do. It’ll just settle you down. Cause you to be resolute and just… You know what I mean? Just, uh, like, “I’m sorry, Mr. Devil, you better just move on to the next house. Because there ain’t no space or place as Ephesians 4 says for you here.
We have been sold a bill of goods…
You can get to that place. We have been sold a bill of goods to think that, “Oh, sometimes God does and sometimes He don’t. And I don’t know. It’s a difficult road to follow Jesus.” Uh uh… It is challenging. But the Bible says that we can grow strong in faith. The Bible says that we can be increasingly enveloped in His glory, in His power.
Pastor Lynne used to say, “God has called us to an upward incline into God,” where we’re not just like up and down, pinball Christians. One day we are. One day we ain’t so much. No! God has given us resources to increasingly become like Jesus. We’ll never be Jesus. But we are His younger brothers and sisters, as I say. We’re called to walk in His footsteps. He was the forerunner that showed us the way and we can walk in His way. But we must be willing to walk as He walked.
Jesus didn’t give the Devil any space…
One of them was to pray. He gave great prominence and priority to prayer in His life. He searched the scriptures daily, even from the youngest of age. He was found in the temple regularly. He didn’t give the Devil any space. He swiftly dealt with the enemy when he showed up and said, “How dare you, Devil, get thee behind me in Jesus’ name, for the Word says X, Y, Z.”
So we can employ the strategy and the ways of the wisest and most victorious man to ever live and see those same results. Abraham was onto something even long before Jesus as this recorded in Romans 4:20. It says, “No unbelief or distrust made him waver doubtingly question concerning the promise of God.” I just challenge you this morning—Hang with God. Stay with Him.
The last word He said to you…
Hang onto that.
Stir that up in you.
Worship around that.
Keep that in front of you.
Whatever that prayer assignment is, whatever that need, whatever that situation is regarding your family, it doesn’t matter how much time elapses, God’s outside of time. He’s going to follow through. Let’s just not grow weary in well-doing.
But he grows strong…
It goes on to say, “but he grows strong…” It says he didn’t question anything concerning the promise of God, but grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His Word and do what He had promised.”
He is doing what He promised…
Now, let’s just keep going with Him. Let’s just keep yielding our hearts. Know the salvation, as I’ve often said, is just an introductory offer. There are many more offers that He has that He’s extending to you and to me. You might be in a different season of life than the person to your right or to your left. But make no mistake about it. God desires to get great fruitfulness and great purpose out of your life, out of your journey of faith.
In fact, He’s not satisfied until He glorifies His church. Until you and I are the lit-up ones, lighted by the glory of God on planet earth in our generation. Amen?
So much so that when the world sees you walking down the street, looks at the church, they see holy fire. They see a people that look like the sons of God because they are the sons of God. Glory to God.
Grace Ryerson Roos’ book, “Prayer Letters”
There’s a book entitled “Prayer Letters” by Grace Ryerson Roos. It’s a little book. It’s in our bookstore. She writes in this one place, “For nothing is as strong as united prayer. Nothing is more forceful than everyone moving under one leadership. Yes, even under the Holy Spirit.” She says, “But if a man or a woman would school him or herself in setting aside a devotional time of prayer and reading of God’s Word, he will see as he increases in the knowledge of Me.” This is actually a prophetic word. “He will increase in power and many mountains will be removed and many things will start to fall into place.”
That’s so true. I’ve seen that. I have experienced that for myself personally. Through many seasons, things begin to fall in the place when you give yourself to prayer. And it’s not because you do a good work, quote unquote. It’s because you’re connected with the flow of heaven. God is synchronizing things as you pray, individually in your life, in your home.
God is synchronizing and aligning and reordering some things in our nation… Even now I believe and going forward. But understand the mandate of scriptures that first and foremost, pray for those in authority. So whatever comes in the days ahead and what leaders are come down and what leaders are exalted into new positions, that is our call and reminder to pray all the more. Because it’s our prayers that equip them and resource them and surround them with what is needed to make right decisions, to resist the temptation to do something that is a compromise in some way.
Grace goes on to say…
“He will increase in power and many mountains will be removed and many things will start to fall into place. It is the spirit that is lacking. It hungers for more of Me. Man is not sufficient of himself. His sufficiency is of Me and through Me.”
Notes that I jotted down…
Let me just read one other thing here that I came across this morning. Some notes that I jotted down a while ago. But I was referencing 1st Corinthians 14:2, and I’m jotted these down.
“For he or she who speaks in a tongue, does not speak to man, but to God. For no one understands him. However, in the spirit, he speaks mysteries, hidden things, divine strategies, God’s purposes for us individually and for us collectively.” And then I made these notes.
“You and I are praying places to go. Imagine that! When you’re praying, you’re praying for your next steps and the place God’s called you to be. You’re praying steps to take, answers to problems and direction needed for decisions. We’re praying into existence when we pray in the spirit. And we’re praying really spirit-inspired prayers. It might be in your known language, but you’re inspired to pray it out in your understanding or you’re interpreting your tongue. You probably hear me sometimes I’ll pray out a word because I start hearing a word or it just kind of escapes my lips and I didn’t even intend to say it, but I’m praying in the spirit.
And Paul writes in the letter to the Corinthians, when you pray in the spirit, pray that you may interpret your tongue. God wants you to be able to comprehend the things that you’re praying, so pray that you may interpret.
Well, that’s how I often do it. I start praying out those words or certain words just keep coming up time and time again when I’m praying in the spirit. Because God wants you to know some things. He’s revealing some things, those hidden things.
But I wrote, “We’re praying into existence the individual pieces to God’s great plan or puzzle.” We’re praying them out, piece by piece, step by step. We’re praying those pieces into place so that God’s purposes for our lives, for our nations, for our churches, for our family’s lives so that God’s purpose for all of that becomes reality.
