Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Folu…
Good morning, everybody. Thank you for coming.
Are you ready for Holy Ghost time?
Father, we thank you for today. The Bible says this is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Saints, in His presence is fullness of joy. Not just joy, but the fullness of it. So it doesn’t matter how you came into this space today, it is time to rejoice. And there’s so many things to rejoice about. Isn’t there? So many wonderful things to rejoice about what the Lord is doing in this great country, right now. The change that is at hand, I tell you there’s a lot of cause for celebration. It’s a celebration time. Woo-hoo. Celebration time!
I see that people are already rejoicing here. I think we should sing some happy stuff, some really pumped up, funky stuff. You guys got some funky stuff we can sing? Some real upbeat, real lively stuff that we can dance to stuff. I think the people are ready to dance too.
Prophetic word…
2024 is going to be a powerful year. There are going to be some marvelous things happening. It is like the old saying: It will be the best of times and the worst of times. There are some things that will settle down during 2024. There are some things that will speed up. This outpouring of My Spirit that has happened is happening all over the world and will get more intensified. It will be stronger and stronger and stronger. The Devil will get all upset, but who does he think he is? I took his power away from him in his own domain. I embarrassed him in hell, right in front of all that served him and destroyed his power and brought him to nothing. He has nothing left but the lie. And he’ll lie and lie and lie. He will upset a lot of people. There will still be wars and rumors of wars, but there are coming victories that you are going to be so thrilled about.
Victories…
Saints, today is a victory day. Today is a celebration day. I am so excited.
Ms. Liat. I see that you’re here. Please come up. I was thinking about this precious lady and I said, “Lord, I hope she will be here today.” So just come right up here, sister. Hallelujah.
We didn’t plan for this. But you have something.
Sister Liat …
Hallelujah. Let’s just continue to flow. Today, a lot of people are on edge. It doesn’t matter which side you’re on. A lot of people are on edge. There’s a lot of tension. But let’s remember that, even as we were singing, we want to see the face of God. We are the body of Christ. We are the face of Jesus in the earth. So what that means is, regardless of any outcomes today or over the next few days, we are conduits of peace. And we are ministers of reconciliation. What greater opportunity then in times of major division and turmoil to be a minister of reconciliation, to be the source of peace and love and blessing and kindness to people… even if we disagree with them!
So as we flow with the Lord today… remember, God’s on a mission. We are just joining Him in the mission that He’s on. We like to think we’re on a mission. Uh uh. He’s on the mission, and we are just joining Him in His mission to save the world. Right?
Prayed…
So let’s pray.
Thank you, Lord, for your peace and grace.
Jesus, we magnify you this morning. No matter how things look, you have the victory. You won the victory in everything. You are victorious, and we are in you. And we’re victorious in you.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you for your victory. Hallelujah. Nothing deserves our worship other than you, Lord Jesus. Thank you for who you are. Thank you for lighting a fire in us to worship you, Lord.
We’re the light in the world in a dark, dark, dark world. We are the light. Thank you for the opportunity to be your light.
Pastor Folu…
I want us to look at a few things here. Some of you know about this already. It’s what we have given out, the prayer points. I kind of fine-tuned it a little bit and we just want to look at it. What we have on the screen talks about three different bullet points. Praying for our nation, for righteousness and godly leadership, for the revelation of truth and for divine guidance for our leaders.
We’re going to come back and pray about this point. I just want to put it out there.
Father, we pray for a righteous nation where justice and truth prevails. Number one.
Number two. May your divine hand guide our leaders to your purposes, grant them wisdom, discernment, and the courage to do what is right.
And then the second point there: for the revelation of truth. Lord, expose the darkness and bring light to every heathen corner. May your truth triumph over lies and deception. Frustrate the plans of the wicked and protect your people.
And then finally, for divine guidance for our leaders. Lord, turn the hearts of our leaders to you. May your will be done in our nation. And then grant them the grace to seek your counsel and follow your lead. Hallelujah.
So we’re going to pray about those things, but before we do that, we can look at First Timothy.
“I exert therefore that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and for all that are in authority. That we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” Hallelujah.
As we’re going to pray about this point, let’s just have that as a backdrop. Let’s pick this up for righteousness and godly leadership.
So, Lord, we thank you that America is a righteous nation. No matter what anybody wants to say, this is a righteous nation. And we thank you, Lord, that your justice and your truth will continue to prevail. Hallelujah.
Father, we thank you that your divine hand will continue to guide our leaders to your purposes. Lord, that you grant them wisdom.
You know how the Bible talks about wisdom being the principle thing.
So, Lord, we pray for our leaders in this great nation… wisdom, discernment. Oh what about courage? Oh, do we need courage in these days to speak the truth, to stand for the truth and courage to do what is right. Wisdom. Hallelujah.
We’re praying for this great country right now, Lord. We thank you for discernment. Thank you, Lord, for our leaders. And when I say our leaders, let’s not be thinking too far. Yes, I’m thinking about leaders in that respect in the political spectrum, but everyone in here is also a leader. So as I’m saying leaders, I’m thinking about you too.
The Lord is thinking about us in this room also. Wisdom, discernment, and courage. Courage to do what is right. It takes courage to do what is right.
Ms. Liat said something and it bears witness that as a nation, we should maybe do a little bit of repentance, right?
So, Lord, we just come to you right now as a people. We ask that you forgive us, Lord. That you forgive us in ways that we have erred, in ways that we have missed the point, in ways that we have not fully represented you when we should have. In all of those things, we come in with a heart of repentance and say, Lord, forgive us for any way that we have missed it as a nation, as a people. Because we know that you are forgiving God. So we say thank you for your forgiveness right now. We receive your grace. We receive that spirit to go forward.
Lord, expose the darkness and bring to light every hidden corner. Exposition. Lord, continue to expose every lie, every plan of the enemy. Whatever needs to be exposed, let it be exposed like right now, even today, even right now, even this minute, this hour, everything that needs to be exposed, Lord. Thank you that you are the great exposer. Everything that has been hidden, thank you for bringing it to the light, Lord.
May your truth triumph over lies and deception. God’s truth is triumphing right now.
Lord, we pray that you will open the eyes of your people.
