Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, July 6, 2022

Sister Jeannie…

Thanks for coming this morning.

Concerning our business, my husband and I will get together and talk about what’s next in the business and how do we get there. And then we will write out a plan maybe for the next 30 days and hear from God. And so in the past few days, we’ve been doing that. And then within that, we have activities that we call non-negotiables, meaning these are the activities that we do and there is no negotiating with them. This is what’s happening. And during that time, faith rises up and gets solidified and you can see in your mind how things are gonna come to pass because you get with God and you write out the plan and you make it plain and you keep moving.

“I started to get irritated…”

And so today is actually the first day of the next 40 days of what we’re gonna be doing. And yesterday we had something happen that wasn’t positive with the business. But we just kept moving and we stuck with the plan. And then later that night, I started to get irritated. And I started feeling sorry for myself. And then Holy Spirit comes in and He is like, “Jeanie, you know that’s not Me. Those aren’t my thoughts.” And I said, “You’re right.” So I did finally get to sleep.

Why am I telling you all this?

I’m telling you all this because this morning, when I woke up, He said to me… Sometimes God will give us a statement. And I woke up with this statement, “Hey, that’s not what I was believing for.” And in that moment, He said, “Sweetheart, I want you to bring that to me now. I want you to talk to me about it. I want you to say, ‘Hey God, that’s not what I was believing for.’” You know, we have things happening in our country, things happening in our city, things happening in our families, and we know what God has said. And we know what’s coming to pass. And then things pop up that we were not believing for.

The enemy will flee before you seven ways…

And then in Deuteronomy 28:7 this morning, “The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” How many times have you had your enemy come up against you and then the way God worked it out was completely just astonishing and something you could never think of. That’s what He’s up to today!

Think about that…

You know, it says the Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you… So think about God. God who’s never in a bad mood. God who’s never concerned. God who sits in the heavens and laughs. God who desires to be close to you, to be intimate with you. God who knows absolutely everything you’re experiencing at every moment. He sees the enemy come up against you. He sees those things that have happened that you were not believing for. And then He causes your enemy to be defeated seven different ways.

This is fun for Him…

I just think about the creativity of our God. He loves to surprise and astonish you. He loves to call you higher. And there are times He does it by causing your enemy to be defeated before you seven different ways… to flee from you seven different ways. And don’t try and figure it out. It never works to try and figure out how He’s gonna do it. But if God has come through for you one time, that’s precedence that’s already been set in the courtroom of heaven. Precedence has already been set on your behalf, that He’s coming. He is causing your enemy to come out against you one way and flee before you … for you to witness him flee seven different ways. This is fun for Him. So if it’s fun for Him, it’s fun for me, it’s fun for you.

Who would have ever thought…

So, Holy Spirit, bring to mind all of the times that you’ve astonished and surprised us, all of the different ways that you have caused our enemies to flee before us. Who would’ve ever thought that Roe V. Wade would be overturned now? What a surprise! Who would’ve thought that in this time with everything that’s happening, the Supreme Court would say, “No, you can pray in public.” There’s so much happening and there’s so much He’s doing. Father, we focus on that today. Right now.

Sister Peg shared…

I just want to share one thing. Like Jeanie was saying, we can get bad news. We can find out something wasn’t like we thought it was. And I had that happen last night and again this morning. But what I did last night right away… thank God. Because sometimes you just need a “kick in the butt.” I went right to my piano, and I started worshiping. And I was like, this is where I need to be, right in this place with God. So let’s just go there this morning and rest in Him knowing that He’s gonna work out everything on our behalf.

Sister Jeannie…

And here’s the deal. When things happen that you weren’t believing for and you know that you’re believing God for the best, we will not allow… we choose not to allow the enemy to say faith doesn’t work. “Oh, it doesn’t work to believe God.” Actually it’s working until it manifests, until the thing that you are believing for manifests, it’s not over. You are in the fight. You are in the good fight of faith. Faith that knows that He is and faith that knows He’s a rewarder. The ever-present God in every situation right now, reward is upon you. Because when we choose Him, He can’t help but reward us. It’s in His character. He has to do it. Why is the arena set up to choose life over death? Could part of it be because it’s His character to reward?

Father, we relax into you. We yield to your goodness. We yield to your plan, to your purpose. America shall be saved. America is turning … is turning… is turning and she is one nation under God.

We surrender to you…

We surrender because we know your character. We surrender because we know your plan. Any deception, Father, in our hearts that has kept us from receiving … that has kept us from believing … any hardening that’s taken place over time… you minister to the heart and hearts today. You minister to any areas in our hearts right now, because out of the heart flow the issues of life… anything that keeps us from fully choosing life, we just surrender that to you today. We present to you right now that things that have been delayed. Father, you show us the way you see those things. How do you see them? Breakthrough.

The parable of the talents…

Luke 19 and Matthew 25 talk about the talents. Matthew 25:29 says “For to everyone who has will more be given and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance. But from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away. For to everyone who has will more be given. And he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance. But from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.”

Jesus taught that this is how the kingdom works. So in verse 14, “For it is like a man who is about to take a long journey. And he called his servants together and entrusted them with his property.” When Jesus said I’m going away, but now you’ve got the Holy Spirit to guide you and lead you. And I’m trusting you with your assignment. So let’s just think about that man. He was going away. He was not gonna micromanage his people. God doesn’t want to micromanage you. He’s entrusting us with assignments right now.

In Luke 19:15, “To one he gave five talents. To another two. To another one. To each in proportion to his own personal ability. Then he departed and left the country.” So he knew each one of his servants. He knew their ability. He knew what they could handle. He knew what they could multiply.

He knows your ability. He knows what you can handle. And He knows what you can multiply. And He trusts you with your assignment.

“He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them.” Went at once. He did not delay to obey. “And he gained five talents more. And likewise he who had received the two talents also gained two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.”

The Word tells us not to bury our talents. The Word tells us to rise up and shine.

“Now after a long time, the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came and brought him five more saying, master you entrusted to me five talents. See here I have gained five more. His master said to him, well done you upright, honorable, admirable, and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little. I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy, the delight, the blessedness which your master enjoys. And he also who had the two talents came forward saying, master, you entrusted two talents to me. Hear how I have gained two talents more. His master said to him, well done, you upright, honorable, admirable, and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little. I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy, the delight, the blessedness, which your master enjoys. He who had received the one talent also came forward.”

Do you know what’s interesting? He who had received the one talent had the least capacity to receive. I repent right now of having little capacity to receive. And I opened myself up to receive from the Master.

“Master, I knew you to be a harsh and hard man.” When we see God as a harsh and hard God, we don’t receive. “Reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you had not winnowed the grain.” So the servant that received the least saw him as a harsh and hard man and someone that gained influence without doing the work. He accused and judged his master. And he says, “So I was afraid and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is your own.”

When I look at this, I’m astonished at the deception. And I’m also completely and fully humbled not to be deceived in this area. Seeing God, the master as harsh and hard, not recognizing the sacrifice that He made and laid down so that I could receive and multiply what He gave me.

“So I was afraid and hid your talent in the ground.” This master refused to own and develop what God had given him. He’s like, “No, that’s not mine.” He wouldn’t even receive what God had given him in the first place! Here you have what is your own. And he just continued to reinforce, “God, you’re hard and hardhearted. You’ve made no sacrifices.” I refuse to acknowledge … you have reaped where you haven’t sown. He had no clue about who his master was or his master’s character to the point where when his master gave him one talent, he refused to even accept that.

“But his master answered him, “You wicked and lazy and idle servant. Did you really believe that I reap where I have not sowed and gather where I have not winnowed? Do you really believe that about me?”

My heart is ridiculously repentant before God right now. When things don’t go the way they think they should go… The enemy wants you to accuse God and he wants you to accuse you. We are not gonna do that moving forward. We are gonna stand. We are gonna believe. We are gonna receive the grace to receive and take and steward what He’s given us and multiply it.

I was just praying for someone before prayer and she is going through a time right now where she’s grieving from a massive loss. The courage it takes to receive comfort when you’re hurting, that’s the five talents. God, you gave me this time and space to grieve. I’m gonna receive that. And I’m gonna let you multiply back to me comfort and release and breakthrough and joy. It takes courage to receive what He gave you. It’s cowardness to accuse God. It’s cowardness to accuse yourself. And there’s no fruitfulness in it whatsoever.

And here’s the other part. It not only angers God, but it also hurts Him because it interferes with intimacy. A lot of intimacy comes fruitfulness and multiplication. So even today as we pray and believe for America, we receive the words He’s spoken over our country, and we declare that God is good, that the sacrifice has already been made. And we receive fruitfulness in the courts, in the schools, in our cities. You have been placed here, and God is entrusting you with things. He has assignments for you. Let us not discount them and excuse ourselves from multiplying what He gave us, because we’re accusing Him.

The servant refused to acknowledge that the master sacrificed for his success already. Did you know that that master’s success caused him to give him a talent to multiply? Did you know that? His sacrifice causes him to give you assignments to complete.

I love a shoe sale. But I’m not here for a shoe sale. Do you get it? I get shoe sales because He loves me, but that’s not the main event. He’s talking to me while I’m talking to you. I’m so thankful for the gift of repentance. I’m so thankful for the gift to change how I see things. I’m so thankful for the gift to change my thinking. I’m so thankful that He’s redemptive.

You’ll notice when the first two servants… He said you’ve been faithful for a little, now I’m gonna give you much. That is not a hard taskmaster, by the way. That is not who he is. You might have been raised or have a background of harsh taskmasters. Let’s not make our relationship with God pay for that.

Right now, we open ourselves up to Him and we let Him heal those things. Just like my friend that I prayed with this morning, it takes courage to receive from God. It takes humility and boldness to receive from God. Let’s be bold and receive.

Prayed…

Father, we freely receive all that you have for us today.

I declare that we are multipliers because we have the God in us that multiplied in acceleration of intimacy in the body of Christ.

We lay down entitlement… we lay down the pride of this is how it’s gonna go… this is how it needs to look for me to believe you…

Father, we repent of that today… Father, you minister hope and victory to us. You minister the mystery of astonishing us… the mystery of your plan right here right now… the mystery that you have us alive during this time…
