Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
The book of Jeremiah 1:4 says…
“Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I ordained you a prophet to the nations.’ Then said I, ‘Ah, Lord God, behold, I cannot speak for I am a youth.’ But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, ‘I am a youth.’”
Or you could also say, “Do not say I’m not qualified, or I’ve made too many mistakes.”
“‘For you shall go to all whom I send you. And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you.’”
Or to help you succeed and do what God’s called you to do.
“‘Says the Lord.’ Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘Behold, I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over nations and over the kingdoms to root out and to pull down, to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant.”
It goes on to say…
“Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ Jeremiah replied and said, ‘I see a branch of an almond tree.’” Verse 12 says, “Then the Lord said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.’”
The Amplified Classic says…
“He is alert and active, watching over His Word to perform it.”
How’s that for a word to start off Monday morning?
A word from the Lord
“Our Hour of Purpose Has Come”
When I got in here this morning and Annie was already worshiping and playing, I sensed this in my heart. And I jotted it down.
He said…
“Now is not the time to rest on your laurels or to leave your calling, your prayer life, to chance. Now is not the time to rest on your laurels or be overtaken with a false sense of security. Our hour of purpose has come. Watch, pray, and engage with spiritual purpose and intensity. Pray out of, or from, the Father’s heart. Pray with intentionality. Pray for continued change. Be available to the Spirit and make a decision that God can count on you to follow through on what He’s put in your heart to do. Pray. Seek His face. Give yourself fully to Him in every way. For this is the day that was prophesied about. This is the day of great consequence.”
Don’t leave your prayer life to chance…
So I think what I heard real clearly was don’t leave your spiritual life, your prayer life, to chance. Don’t rest on your laurels. Don’t get caught only celebrating maybe some good things that have happened in recent times in your life perhaps, in what you’ve been praying for, and what’s going on in our nation. There’s more to be done. There’s more we’re to engage with from the Father’s heart that He wants us to pray out, that He wants us to tear down, that He wants us to build.
We’re here on assignment…
We’re here on assignment after all. We’re not here coincidentally or by accident or so that we can just obtain some eternal fire insurance as I say, for the eternity to come, to miss hell and gain heaven.
We are here sent on assignment from the very heart and throne of God, each and every one of us. Regardless of what we’re called by name or where our station or lot is in life, we’re here on assignment to know God. Paul said, “This is my determined purpose, that I might know Him intimately, personally, ongoingly.” In other words, daily, moment by moment. Because the Father has some things in His heart that He wants us to pray out, that He wants us to walk out, that He wants us to curate, you could say. In other words, hold to and realize that there are some spiritual things, there are some assignments, there’s some decrees that must be made this week, in fact.
Don’t overlook the authority that has been invested in the body of Christ…
There’s some things that He wants us to bind, some other things He wants us to loose. Don’t overlook the fact that Paul went to great lengths to describe in a number of occasions in the New Testament the authority that had been invested in us as the New Testament church. Beginning with the right to the use of the holy and majestic name of Jesus, and that even the whisper of that name, which is above every name, all of heaven, earth, and what’s under the earth would bow.
Don’t overlook the fact that one of the writers of the New Testament just said that if we would submit ourselves therefore to God, resist the enemy of our souls at every turn, that he would flee from us. Because authority and the right to the use of the name of Jesus, and the right to apply the blood of Jesus has been given to us. The sons and daughters of the kingdom of God.
Don’t overlook that fact that we are here on assignment…
And so don’t overlook the fact that you’re here on assignment, that you’re appointed to this generation and in this time. And whatever nation you are resident or a citizen of, that is part of your assignment. To pray, to decree, to limit the kingdom of darkness, and to loose God’s hand in our time, in our nation, in our cities, in our churches.
You have…
A lot more to do with what God is able to accomplish in this generation than you realize.
A lot more of what’s able to transpire from the pulpit of your church or behind closed walls in the White House.
A lot more authority and ability to affect change and to precipitate the plan of God than you realize.
We’re not to slumber or be slothful…
So I just want to stir up your hearts today. The Bible says that we’re not to slumber. We’re not to be slothful or slow in perceiving and responding to God. But we’re to be a people that perpetually stir ourselves up to take hold of Him, perpetually stir ourselves up to live in His very presence, walking out daily the presence of God, making it our continued and perpetual prayer, “Lord, what are you saying? What are you doing? What’s up, Lord?” Making ourselves available to Him. Prayer is simply that. It’s simply making ourselves available to the Father so that He can conduct kingdom of God operations in the earth realm, in your household realm, in your physicality, in your spiritual life, in your family, in your nation.
God functions through legal means…
God is a legal and just God. He’s not rogue like the enemy of our soul. He functions through legal means. And He set things up, according to my Bible at least, in such a way that in this time, His template or His pattern is…
To work through human agency
To work through your words and my words
To work through our choice to exercise authority
To bind, to loose, to intercede
Jesus knew He was assigned to die…
Jesus, it says in scripture, interceded on our behalf by being sent into the realm of mankind and being assigned to die, and giving Himself to that assignment, knowing that it was going to require His blood and His tears, and the very last breath exhausted through His lungs upon the cross to get the job done.
He did it so we would not be sent headlong into an eternity of darkness…
He interceded on our behalf so that we wouldn’t be sent headlong into darkness in the eternity to come, but could be, once again, embraced into His family, recreated as new creatures. Not to be assigned to what He did. He died for us. But as a result, He brought many sons to glory so that we could follow His template, which was as well to intercede. Maybe not an intercession of death on a cross through an resurrection, but an intercession with our prayers and our life and our willingness to give all to Him.
Are you willing to give all to Him?
Are you willing to give at least another degree of who you are to Him today? Say, “Lord…
Here I am, send me.
Here I am, Lord, breathe on me.
Here I am, Lord, use me to intercede
To intercede for the nations, for particular situations, for even one soul who is hurting and broken and searching. So don’t leave your life to chance today. Don’t rest on your laurels. Don’t get caught up in just celebrating that one win. There’s more we’re to give ourselves to this week. There’s more that must be prayed through. There’s more we must stand for and call out into the darkness, call out for light, and call out for justice, and call out for the truth of God’s plan to come into reality from His realm to our realm.
Intercession avails us to the opportunity to traverse another realm…
Remember, intercession is the privilege and the opportunity to traverse into another realm and to take what God has and bring it back to our realm and establish it. We’re here to establish kingdom of God operations into our realm.
