Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Prayer leader Kaye…

Prayed…

Oh, Father, working in us. Filling us, forming us. Working in us, with us, in us.

What is being formed in you?
In Galatians it says, “I pray for you until the anointed one is fully formed in you.”
What is being formed in you? What is being formed in you in your circumstances right now?
What are you allowing to shape you?
Are you allowing anxiety to shape you, to be formed in you?
Are we allowing fear of the future to be formed in us, to shape us?
Jesus is forming us. He’s forming us. We are being formed into art, into a sculpture to be like Him.
So what is being formed in us?

We don’t want any impurities in us…
What is that? Do we want any impurities in us?
No, we don’t want any impurities in us.
No anxiety, no fear of the future, no bitterness, no strife, no thinking we’re better than others.
Father, no, we want to be washed. We want that out of us.
Because a clay pitcher that is formed cannot hold pure water if some of these impurities are in us.
We don’t want any of these impurities in us, Lord.

We want Christ to be formed in us…
We want your perfect will.
We want your love, your peace, your joy to be formed in us.
Until Christ is formed in us.
What does that look like to have Christ formed in us?
One translation says, “I will pray for you until when people look at you, they see Christ.”

What are the attributes of Christ in us?
So how do we know how we’re doing?
Well, these are the attributes of Christ:
Patience that endures.
Kindness in action.
A life full of virtue.
Faith that prevails.
Gentleness of heart and strength of spirit.
There’s no law against these.
These attributes of Christ will hold, will hold His Spirit, will hold it, the fullness of Him.
The fullness of Him can be formed in us when our vessel is strong in Christ.

We ask for eyes to see how He sees…
Oh, Father, we ask for strength. We ask for wisdom.
We ask for eyes that see the way you see our circumstances.
Father, help us to look at our circumstances the way you see them.

The Father is forming us…
Oh, that you are forming us in these circumstances.
You are forming us in this day, today, Friday.
You’re forming us to be like you.
Oh, Father, if there are any impurities in us, we ask you to wash them out.
Help us to be continually amazed by you.
Our eyes are on you, amazed by your Spirit, your presence, your holiness, your goodness, your joy, your fullness.
All joy is ours. All hope is ours.

Let the kingdom of God seep out of us and into the world…
We have the kingdom of God in us now, coming out of us into the world around us.
Wherever you are, whether you work at Walmart, whether you work at Whole Foods, whether you work anywhere, the kingdom of God will seep out of you.
Whether you’re retired and you’re in your home, the kingdom of God seeps out of you.
What is being formed in you will come out of you.

Help us to not let negative things be formed in us…
Father, help us to be careful of what we let being formed in us, that we do not let bitterness be formed in us.
The Word says that it’s line upon line, precept upon precept.
That works even for negative things. Even bitterness is formed line upon line, precept upon precept.
Oh, Father, we don’t want that. We want your Word to be formed in us, line upon line, precept upon precept.
We want your truth to be formed in us, line upon line, precept upon precept.
We want kindness to be developed in us line upon line, precept upon precept.
We want patience and joy and love and to be a servant like Jesus.
Jesus was God, and just before He died, He put on a servant’s robe, put on a servant’s towel, and washed their feet.
Jesus said, “If you want to gain your life, you have to lose it,” because He’s the true deal.

We are dual citizens…
We’re eternal beings, and we stand on this earth as dual citizens.
We are citizens of the United States, but we’re citizens of heaven, and we know what matters.
We are eternal beings, and we will never die.
So, Father, help us let all holiness be formed in us, all joy be formed in us.
That what the kingdom of heaven seeps out of us is life-changing.
That everyone that sees us, that talks to us, that is with us, their lives are changed and transformed.
Father, that we are the catalyst for your Spirit to pour forth into this world and change the people around us, the circumstances around us.
Father, let not the circumstances that we live in transform us.
But let us transform our circumstances.

We drink deeply of the Spirit of God…
Oh, we drink deeply of you today, Spirit of God. We drink deeply of you.
We let that rain of the Spirit flow down upon our thirsty land, upon our thirsty hearts.
We seek you. We seek you alone. We ask for you alone. We want nothing but you alone.
We want your very being to come out like a wind when we walk down hallways.

Peter’s shadow…
Pastor Jim was talking about Peter’s shadow. There was like a forcefield around Peter, that when people got around Peter, they were healed. That the kingdom of God came out and transformed.
