Prayer Summary Friday, November 21, 2014

Morning prayer consisted of worship and anointed testimonies. Below are a few of the testimonies from various people.

What Does Your Healing Have to Do With You?

I woke up this morning, and I was feeling a little “off.” I just said, “I’m going to prayer. I’m not going to not go to prayer.” When I was walking in this morning, as soon as my hand touched the door, the Lord said, “What does your healing have to do with you?” And I said, “What?” Then I realized, “That’s right! What does my healing have to do with me?” And it completely removed all the pressure off of me. And, really, what does anything that you’re standing for or believing for have to do with you? It has nothing to do with you! You’re just the believer. You just say, “Okay, Lord, I put it in Your hands. I trust You.” Do you think He’s going to let you fall or fail? Absolutely not! So, today, just let that thing go. Let it lift off of you—all that pressure, because pressure is not of the Lord. Let that pressure be lifted off of you as we praise the Lord, because your financials, your success have nothing to do with you. Your health has nothing to do with you. You just get in the way. You need to get out of the way. Just let go and let God! Remember that old saying? Let go! And let God do it! Hallelujah!

I Don’t Believe in Sickness!

During our noon prayer yesterday, brother Dave said, “I don’t believe in sickness.” That’s how he said it: “I don’t believe in sickness.” So when I got here this morning, I wrote down a few other things that I don’t believe in. Say these after me: “I don’t believe in sickness. I don’t believe in lack. I don’t believe in strife. I don’t believe in poverty. I don’t believe in depression. I don’t believe in fear. I don’t believe in wrong decisions. I don’t believe in pain.” You could make your own list. Now here’s what I do believe: “I believe in wholeness and health. I believe in prosperity—spirit, soul, and body.” Just like what Barb just shared, it’s not me, it’s Him. It’s all about Him. Now say this after me:

God is who He says He is
I am who God says I am
God can do what He says He can do
I can do what God says I can do
God has what He says He has
I have what God says what I have

The Father That Lives in Us Does the Work

We’ve had some things go on and our finances looked bad, in the tank. My husband and I we’re sitting in our prayer window one morning and had tea there. We were under the burden of it. We didn’t realize it. We were trying to stay up and speaking the right things and everything, but there was a little “something” in it. I looked at him and said, “You know what would be really fun to do? Give _____ Ministries a hundred bucks and give (so and so) a hundred bucks. I feel led to do that.” We both looked at each other and laughed. Wouldn’t that be fun? Yeah, yeah… But then it turned into, “Well, let’s just let the Lord do it.” So there we sat and laughed, and we wrote down the names on a piece of paper and left it on the counter as a reminder. Somehow, that piece of paper got lost. Then the money came in! But we had forgotten about the piece of paper, and so we used the money to take care of a need. One day, the Holy Ghost brought to my remembrance the paper with the names on it. We had that unexplained money that came in from out of nowhere. I said, “Honey, remember what we said?” We said, “Bless God, we got to do that because we told the Lord that we were going to believe and do that.” It took a while for the next check to come in, but out of the blue, money came in again. It was double the amount of money that we needed to give to what we thought we couldn’t give to. In fact, it was above and beyond that. Out of the blue, God brings it to you! It happens once you get in faith and start hearing the Word and speaking the Word and get the light on it. During that time, I read Charles Capps confession sheet, and I went, “Wow, where was I, Lord?” Down. I was really down, and I didn’t even know it. I always say the funny thing about deception is that you don’t know when you’re being deceived. God is faithful if we just lift up our eyes to heaven and put a little joy in our prayers and let Him work. We don’t do the works. The Father that lives in us does the work. That makes His burden easy and His yoke light.

Laughter in Prayer Lifted up Minister

A few years ago, Kent and Pam and I went on a prayer missions trip. We went to Brussels, to Amsterdam, and to a small city in France. Amsterdam is not exactly a conservative area. Kent said he heard about a minister that has been ministering to the prostitutes in the red light district and he needed prayer support. He was experiencing a war of attrition, getting hammered down. So some of us went to pray with him and for him. Those were the days when we put people in a chair and we said, “You just sit here and we’ll kind of be around you and pray.” So we began to pray in the Spirit. But mixed in with the prayer was a lot of laughter. I’m thinking to myself, “What are you doing? This guy is down and burned out in ministry and you’re laughing?” But the laughter was in the prayer. Have you ever had that when you’re praying? It’s not funny, it’s just happy. So when we were finished praying, he asked, “Who was doing all that laughing?” He said, “That laughter did something for me.” It wasn’t our words that we prayed over him or the prayer in other tongues (although I’m sure they helped), but he said it was the laughter that lifted him up out of that negative place he was in.

Testimonies Stoke the Fire

This is what the Holy Ghost is doing. Imagine sitting in your house in front of the fire place. The fire goes down and you see a little bit of orange in there but there are no flames. What the Holy Ghost does through these testimonies, is He grabs the poker and pokes the fire. All of a sudden, you see these sparks rise up. He just keeps stoking the fire, and pretty soon there are flames coming out. Then He throws another log on, and pretty soon, you’ve got this raging infernal, and it gives off all this heat and energy. That’s what we are. We are those logs. We’re those logs in the fire and the Holy Ghost is stoking that fire. As He stokes the fire, we respond to that stoking. As a testimony comes forth, we get it inside our spirits. “Yeah, I get that. Yes, I see that. That’s exciting.” At that point, what you’re doing is you’re actually receiving the manna inside your spirit. Then you respond to the manna and that could be in the form of a laugh or it could be excitement and a smile on your face, or you just agree in your spirit with what they’re saying. And it draws you in. As you keep doing that, it gets hotter and hotter until you can’t sit down anymore.

Act Like You’ve Got Your Healing

I had just said last week, “I never have teeth problems.” Wouldn’t you know, the next day, Friday, I was drinking soup and pain from one of my teeth just shot through my body. So I started resisting, taking authority over the devil, you know, saying all what I knew to say. On Saturday, I was still dealing with the pain. Then the devil brings the thought, “You’re going to have to have a root canal.” But on Monday I heard, “How would you act if you were healed?” So I ran the house. Then I ran the house two or three more times. I thought, I’ve got to use my head here. If you have to go to the dentist, you have to go to the dentist. But before I called the dentist, I heard this inside me, “Expect the best.” Okay, naturally, you would expect the worst. “Okay, I’m going to expect the best, Lord.” So I called the dentist and got an appointment. By then, the pain started leaving my tooth, but my actual tooth was very sensitive when I bit down on it. Long story short, I went to the dentist yesterday and he took X-rays and didn’t see anything. He checked my bite and said it was a little off on that tooth. So he evened it out. I’ll tell you what, I had to exercise my faith. I didn’t let fear in. I said “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” And this peace washed over me. If you knew where I came from and the fear I dealt with in my life, to actually walk out a victory is so amazing to see the Lord have your back.

The Lord’s Direction Can Be Simple

One morning I woke up and I was blue. Poor me, or whatever. I heard in my spirit, “Your life is a mess. Clean your drawers.” So that’s what I did. I just listened to the Lord and did this simple thing. He leads us and guides us. Sometimes we think it’s got to be this big revelation. Well, we want revelation, right? We want a revelation of God or that spoken Word to us. But when I did that simple little thing, joy, unspeakable and full of glory, came.
