Ms. Peg led us singing Jesus, I am Yours Forever

Pastor Ray…

Holy Spirit, we welcome Your presence. By faith, we enter in through that precious blood, come before heaven. By faith we do enter and lift You up, Your Words, Your plans, Your future for us. Thank You, Father.

Thank You for what You are doing now and the things that have been done. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

You set a table for us. Everything that was finished is still finished. Hallelujah.

The following excerpt is taken from Our Heavenly Authority by John G. Lake:

The Spirit of the Lord speaks within my soul and says:

‘‘Within the breast of every man is the divine image of God (living God), in whose image and likeness he was made. That sin is a perversion, and sickness an imposter, and the grace and power of God through the Holy Ghost delivers man from all bondage of darkness, and man in all his nature rises into union and communion with God and becomes one with Him in the truest sense. One in the thoughts of God, one in the aspirations of God, one in the Spirit of Jesus Christ as the Saviour of man and man then gives himself a Saviour also lifting man by the grace of God to the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.” Blessed be His holy Name.

‘‘There’s a wideness in God’s mercy,
Like the wideness of the sea;
There’s a kindness in His Justice,
Which is more than liberty.

But we make His love too narrow
By false limits of our own,
And we magnify His strictness,
With a zeal He will not own.

There is welcome for the sinner,
And more graces for the good;
There is mercy with the Saviour;
There is healing in His blood.

For the love of God is broader
Than the measure of man’s mind;
And the heart of the Eternal
Is most wonderfully kind.

If our lives were but more simple,
We should take Him at His word;
And our lives would be all sunshine
In the sweetness of our Lord.”

I was ministering one time where the bubonic plague was raging. You could not hire people for a thousand dollars to bury the dead. At such times, the government has to take hold of the situation. But I never took the disease.

Now watch the action of the law of life. Faith belongs to the law of life. Faith is the very opposite of fear. Faith has the opposite effect in spirit, and soul, and body. Faith causes the spirit of man to become confident. It causes the mind of man to become restful, and positive. A positive mind repels disease.

Consequently, the emanation of the Spirit destroys disease germs. And because we were in contact with the Spirit of life, I and a little Dutch fellow with me went out and buried many of the people who had died from the bubonic plague. We went into the homes and carried them out, dug the graves and put them in. Sometimes we would put three or four in one grave.

We never took the disease. Why? Because of the knowledge that the law of life in Christ Jesus protects us. That law was working. Because of the fact that a man by the action of his will, puts himself purposely in contact with God, faith takes possession of his heart, and the condition of his nature is changed. Instead of being fearful, he is full of faith. Instead of being absorbent and drawing everything to himself, his spirit repels sickness and disease. The Spirit of Christ Jesus flows through the whole being, and emanates through the hands, the heart, and from every pore of the body.

If a man were traveling down the road in a certain direction, and were aware that at the end of that pathway he is going to drop over into the grave, and that not only his body is going into that grave, but he is going to lose his soul, we would naturally think that a sane man would stop. I wonder what keeps a man from exercising good old-fashioned horse sense? Some power somewhere is exercising itself to keep him in that state of mind, so that he acts like a man that is drugged. The soul is asleep. It is in a dormant state. The soul of man is drugged by the devil’s power.

No sane man would come to the end of his journey, losing both soul and body, if he realized it. He is not aware. He is not awake. His soul is in a stupor. That is the reason that we preach with all our energy, to arouse men out of that lethargy. The Word of God says, “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead.”

During that great plague that I mentioned, they sent a government ship with supplies and a corps of doctors. One of the doctors sent for me, and said, ‘‘What have you been using to protect yourself? Our corps has this preventative and that, which we use as protection, but we concluded that if a man could stay on the ground as you have and keep ministering to the sick and burying the dead, you must have a secret. What is it?”

I answered, “Brother, that is the ‘law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.’ I believe that just as long as I keep my soul in contact with the living God so that His Spirit is flowing into my soul and body, that no germ will ever attach itself to me, for the Spirit of God will kill it.” He asked, “Don’t you think that you had better use our preventative?” I replied, “No, but doctor I think that you would like to experiment with me. If you will go over to one of these dead people and take the foam that comes out of their lungs after death, then put it under the microscope you will see masses of living germs. You will find they are alive until a reasonable time after a man is dead. You can fill my hand with them and I will keep it under the microscope, and instead of these germs remaining alive, they will die instantly.” They tried it and found it was true. They questioned, “What is that?” I replied, ‘‘That is ‘the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.” When a man’s spirit and a man’s body are filled with the blessed presence of God, it oozes out of the pores of your flesh and kills the germs.”

Suppose on the other hand, my soul had been under the law of death, and I were in fear and darkness? The very opposite would have been the result. The result would have been that my body would have absorbed the germs, these would have generated disease and I would have died.

You who are sick, put yourself in contact with God’s law of life. Read His Word with the view of enlightening your heart so that you will be able to look up with more confidence and believe Him. Pray that the Spirit of God will come into your soul, take possession of your body, and its power will make you well. That is the exercise of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

Pastor Ray…

Hallelujah. Thank You! Hallelujah.

Was that just for John G. Lake? No! He didn’t even talk about the little Dutch man that was with him. He has to have had the same kind of faith. How did that happen? Contact with God.

Oh, thank You for Your presence, the power of Your Holy Spirit today, right now.

Ms. Peg led us in welcoming Holy Spirit’s presence

Pastor Ray…

Hallelujah. We welcome You, Your mighty presence. One touch, we know. Your Presence changes everything. We are changed from one degree of glory to another, in Your presence.

I thank You today for Your protection, direction, empowerment of Your precious Holy Spirit. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for more. We yield ourselves, our hearts to You this morning, turn toward You, keep looking up, keep calling things forth. Even though we’ve not seen them yet, we believe we shall walk in the fullness of those things that we speak.

Those things that we speak by faith based on Your Word will come to pass. On the other side of that, those things spoken in fear not based on Your Word but on some other things that maybe we heard, they shall come to pass too.

Over on this side of the Spirit of faith, looking to what You called us to be like and what You‘ve called us to do, in the steps that You ‘ve given us to walk out, and walk through, Your mercies are new. Hallelujah! Every day, Today! Hallelujah! You are good! Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Father.

I know there are many, many, many, many thousands and thousands and thousands of people that are standing on Your Word, Lord. We know You set our nation out to be one nation under You, that we would not be divided up, especially that the Church would be in one accord, in unity. Hallelujah. Thank You, Father.

(tongues) Some things have come to pass because the Church has not stood up and spoken forth, “This is the way it will be! And this is how it will turn out!”

It is not automatic. It is in and by the Spirit of faith that You must say, “This is the way it shall be! And this is how it will turn out! And these are the pathways that I’ll walk through!” Ooooh! (tongues)

Ms. Peg led us singing in other tongues…

Pastor Ray…

When You were singing in other tongues, I sensed in the Church, there’s been too much talk about past failures, too many people turning around tempted to sit down, too many people moved by fear instead of faith.

And faith will move the Church into an upright manner, and it will expand and the Church will be more bold in its declarations and in its activities. And the Church will go further and further in moving situations out of the way and clearing away for the Church to go all the way through victory and victory and victory every day.

So, even in the walk that connects with the talk, in some ways it’s too far on one side and too far on another. What I believe the Spirit is saying this morning, “Stay in the center of the will and the purpose that I’ve given to you. Do not shrink back. Do not turn around and continually look back. But look ahead to Me and look up. I’ve called you to contend and walk in my victories. They’re Mine coming through you. So speak up! Speak out! Declare and stay steadfast in the center of the will, My purpose, My plans I have given to You as My children, My body. Oh. Thank You.

I keep hearing about the flip side you shared a while back.

Ms. Cindy…

We are called to be witnesses on the earth. And every day we have opportunities to choose to not bow to whatever the contradiction or the circumstances are around us. There’s so much opportunity. Because the Word says that we are to long for the appearing of Jesus. And that’s not just on that final day. But that’s every day.

So, every time there is a contradiction, there’s an opportunity to witness.

A while back I heard the Lord say in my spirit, “Call for a coin toss.” I wasn’t sure what that meant so I looked it up. Basically, what a coin toss does is bring things to a final decision. People are in a place of disagreement, “Here, let’s just flip a coin.”

I think that’s what Elijah did in I Kings 18. He wanted things to come to a final decision. Why? Because the Word says the people were confused. There was a lot of mixing of religions. They were worshiping Baal along with worshiping God, the true God. The people were confused, and Elijah stepped up.

I think today there is a lot of confusion. And we need things to be cleared up.

Another time, I was sitting here in the chapel and I heard, “We need a lightning strike.” Just like that. I was like, “What does that mean?”

I knew lightning will clean the atmosphere. Right after a thunderstorm, it smells good and everything is so fresh. It’s not dark and cloudy anymore and the sun is shining. But when I looked up what lightening does, I also found out it will cause the bonds of certain molecules that are in the atmosphere to become broken. And one of those is a nitrogen. Then it falls to the ground and fertilizes the soil.

Before a farmer plants his seed in the field, he’ll fertilize the soil. Because he wants a good crop.

I think God is speaking to us about getting things cleaned out.

I just was thinking about this while Pastor Ray was praying. I had a little vision a few years ago. The Lord said to me, “Cindy, you’re the gas company.” He said, “When I call on you, I want you to go to this house down on main street and whatever. I want you to kick down the door. Because I’ve authorized you. There’s a gas leak in that house but the people inside don’t perceive it. They’re not dead. They’re just not really awake (like Pastor Ray was saying). And they don’t have the wherewithal to get up and walk outside that door.”

So, sometimes we save by pulling people out of the fire, out of that sway, that atmosphere they are under, and bring them out where they can breathe the fresh air and come to their senses. Because nobody, like Pastor Ray just read, would purposefully walk off into a grave, and have their soul to die—not when they’re awake.

And as the Church, we’re called to bring things to a point of decision. And it can happen every day. There are opportunities everywhere around us to witness Truth and bring a word of knowledge to a situation that will bring a change in the thoughts and the feelings people have that are wrong, in the light of that Word. You know, where people just easily change their minds. That’s called repentance.

They just change their minds, “Oh, this is what I want. This is what I have been looking for.”

The presence of God that we’re bringing to every situation, every day: the Spirit and Jesus! We long for the Spirit of Jesus to appear. And how does He appear? When we face the tension of opposition, contradiction, situations in this world that would try to get us to shut up and sit down. But we don’t. Because we have this eternal hope within us. And this eternal purpose is that through the Church, the wisdom of God would come out of us and it would address the principalities and the powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world and bring them to nothing in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Brother DJ…

Father, we thank You. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love, and sound mind.

Cindy was saying, “Opportunities come every single day for us.” Well, I was dropping one of my employees off the other night at his house. One of the guys living there was moving to California in the morning.  He’s originally from India. And as I was parking my car, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Go inside and say goodbye to him; give him $20 and pray for him.” But I pulled out of the driveway instead. A mile or two down the road I heard, “Turn around and go give him $20 and pray.” So, I went back. Like Cindy said, “Opportunities…” Fear has to leave us.

I went back to the house. He said, “What, did You forget anything?”
“Yes, I did. The reason I’m back here is I heard in my heart to come back and bless you with $20 and pray over you.”

He didn’t want to take it at first. But he took the money and we prayed. And next to me was standing another guy. He was a Muslim. I said to him, “Let’s pray together for this man.” And he put his hand on the man and we started praying in the name of Jesus. “We bless You. When you go to California, you will prosper in California. The Lord will be with you…”

I found out after I left, he called at least 10 people and told them, “This guy who lived (he knew the city where I’m from in India) came here and not only did he bless me with the money, but he prayed a blessing over me.”

Hallelujah. We give You the praise! For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, power, and sound mind.

Another day, somebody came to clean my carpet, and he was a Muslim. And when I paid him, I said, “Let me pray over you (same thing) the blessing of God. Just changing the mind, that Jesus Christ is the blessing.

Thank You, Father. We do not have the spirit of fear. We have the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. We bind You spirit of fear, who’s stopping us from doing things God has called us to do, in businesses, buy this, do this…

We loose the spirit of love, power, and sound mind. We can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives us strength. Therefore, no evil shall befall us. No plaque can come near us, no viruses, no sickness, no disease. We tread upon the lion and the Cobra and the great lion and the serpent.

We shall do all things that You call us to do. Because God has not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of love, power, and sound mind.

Oh, greater is He who is in us than He who in the world – that Devil!

The Greater One in us! The Christ in us – the Hope of Glory. The Christ in us—the power of God. The Christ in us—the wisdom of God, the love of God. We are filled with the Spirit of God. Spirit of the Lord is upon us to do! We lay hands on the sick and they shall recover!

We give You the praise. We give You the glory. We give You the honor. Hallelujah.

Pastor Ray…

We do! All of the praise, all of the glory, all of the honor! Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord.

This happened a few years ago. A semi-truck came around by the church when I was leaving. And he blocked the street so I couldn’t leave.

I got out of my car to talk with him. He said, “I need directions.” He was looking for such and such business. Because there was a whole lot of businesses in that area he said, “I don’t want to really drive my semi. Could You drive me around?” So, he got in my car and we drove around until he found the location.

But while he was in my car, I started talking to him about the Lord. And he got born again before he got back to his truck. Then I took him to the bookstore and bought some different things about being saved, being filled with the Holy Ghost. I went outside and sent him on his way.

I actually had to get blocked so that he could get born again.

Brother DJ…

It was a set up!

Pastor Ray…

Whatever it takes.

Scripture focus…

(Let’s take these scriptures for our country and for Israel.)

1) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
2) I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
3) For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

whatever that might be. That’s not just a disease but words, deadly plans, whatever.

4) [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. Psalm 91:1–4 (AMPC)

Pastor Ray…

Just like John G. Lake. He had a shield of faith. Where he could have that bubonic plague poured out in his hand and watch it die. His truth and his faithfulness are a shield and buckler.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth of Your words, for what You’ve told us, and what You’ve said. And then too, words that have been spoken over the years. Year after year after year, words given by Your Spirit to men and women here on this earth. And they declared it forth as prophecies concerning the future and how things will turn out.

We purpose to hold fast to Your words and Your way, stay in faith, stay connected to heaven’s plans and heaven’s ways, not continually looking back, not walking in fear, but always walking in faith, watching forward as we step ahead in the army that You ‘ve called us to be a part of, that is Your body.

We thank You for the body of Christ today. We pray over all the pastors. We pray over our pastors here at Living Word, Pastor Mac and Pastor Lynne. We pray for all those in ministry in Jesus’ name. Thank You for the covering of the blood, for the vision that has already been given forth. For those things that still have not manifested, we stand fast in faith, believing they shall come to pass.

We thank You for it. All of it—Your goodness, Your mercy in Jesus’ mighty name. And everyone said, Amen. So be it. Thank You for coming and for tuning in today. Appreciate it so much. We’ll see You tomorrow.
