Prayer Summary for Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Pastor Ray shared…

Yesterday in the afternoon at 3:30 prayer which we have on Mondays, we went over concerning Jesus walking on the water and a couple different versions from the different Gospels and how they speak differently about it. In one it basically said the disciples got in the boat to go over to the other side. In another, it said Jesus insisted that they get in the boat and go to the other side. That was His command. In the book Water Walker from Andrew Wommack, he will be here in a couple weeks, I like what he said because there is one Gospel account that I never quite could understand why it said what it said. So I will read these first two scriptures here and a couple really interesting things that Andrew said about it. The title of this chapter is “He Would Have Passed Them By.”

The following excerpt was taken from “Water Walker” by Andrew Wommack:

”And in the fourth watch of the night (which was either 3 until 6 a.m.) Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit; and they cried out for fear” (Matthew 14:25–26).

Notice how Mark records this:
”And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them” (Mark 6:48). (Did you ever have a question about why He would do that?)

Jesus was up praying on a mountain overlooking the Sea of Galilee. He was in the same storm, so He knew what was going on. It’s not like He was indifferent to the disciples’ needs. The Lord knew exactly what they were going through because He was going through it too. He was 100 percent aware of their problem!

It’s reasonable to guess that the reason Jesus came down and started walking on the water was so that He could rescue His disciples. But even though He drew near to help them, He made as though He “would have passed by them” (Mark 6:48). In other words, even though it seems clear that the Lord came to the disciples’ rescue, presented Himself, and even came close enough so that they could see Him, the scriptures say, however, that He then would have passed them by.

Think about this! It seems obvious He was coming to help them. Yet, He didn’t just run out there waving His arms and yelling, “Guys, don’t panic! It’s Me! Here I am to save the day!” The Lord revealed Himself to them, but they had to call out to Him by faith. They had to reach out and make a demand to appropriate His miracle-working power. In other words, Jesus didn’t just do it for them. He revealed Himself to them, but they had to tap into what He had on the inside of Him to be able to receive this miracle.

This is a perfect parallel to how God provides miracles for us today. It doesn’t matter what your situation is, God knows what you’re going through and He’s touched with those same feelings.

(Now skipping over to the last part of this chapter. It’s called, Believe God – or Die.)

It’s possible that Jesus would have just passed on by. He revealed Himself, He was there and His power was available, but if the disciples hadn’t cried out, He might have kept on going. If they hadn’t responded to Him positively and drawn on His supernatural ability one way or another, it’s possible they would have drowned.

You may be in a crisis situation and needing God to do something right away. You may be begging and pleading, but if you don’t reach out in faith, you might drown. You need to respond positively to God’s Word so that it comes alive and stands up on the inside of you. If you don’t believe God, He might just pass on by. It’s not automatic that you win. You must believe God!

People Make Choices

People who adhere to an extreme “sovereignty of God” type of teaching really get upset with this truth. They say, “Nothing can happen but what God wills or allows. He orchestrates everything perfectly according to His plan.” Wrong! God’s Word abounds with examples that contradict this false assumption. (For a more in-depth look at this, please refer to my teachings entitled The Sovereignty of God, God’s Not Guilty, and Spiritual Authority.)

God wills…

”Above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2).

Yet, people suffer poverty and die all the time of sickness and disease. Also, the Lord is…

“Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9; emphasis mine).

However, Jesus Himself said that many would perish through the broad gate leading to destruction and few would enter by the narrow gate to everlasting life (Matthew 7:13–14). God’s will does not “automatically” come to pass. What He wants and what He wills can be thwarted.

Now don’t get confused here. I’m talking about God’s will for an individual’s life. God is so wise and awesome that if Satan blocks His overall plan one way, the Lord will find some other person and eventually get His will accomplished another way. I don’t doubt that at all! But on an individual basis, people die whom the Lord did not want to die. It’s God’s will for them to be healed but, for one reason or another, they don’t receive the healing He’s already provided. God doesn’t will for wars, heartache, tragedy, divorce, etc. to occur. He’s not the one who makes these things happen. People make choices.

I like that because it does answer the question why Jesus would act like He was just going to walk on by when He was already walking on the water to come out to help them. But it took faith. We see the picture of them crying out. It did say they were in fear. They were in fear of the circumstances for sure; the water, the wind, the storm. They were in fear concerning these things but it wasn’t just that they were in fear because they thought “Oh, my Gosh. This is some kind of spirit out here walking on the water.” They were not so much maybe in fear of that as they were in the surrounding storm and they cried out. Maybe they cried out and said “Help me, Lord!” I don’t know what they said. But I like that He had to wait on them. He identified who He was, and it was up to them to call out in faith.

It’s a good parallel for us. I like that Andrew put in those scriptures too that it is His will… how many would be saved? His will is that all would be saved.

So when we are standing in agreement and praying for our city that all would be saved, we are in agreement with His will. It’s His will but everyone has a choice. We had a choice at some point in our lives to say yes to Him to get born again. Isn’t that right? We could have said no. But it would have been His will, it is His will that all men be saved. I like that He identified Himself to them and He identifies Himself to us. It changes how we see things when by His Spirit He identifies Himself to us and He works different ways. Like Andrew Wommack said that when the Devil works his plan to try to derail the church, God works another plan, a higher plan and the Devil has already been defeated.

In My Spirit, I am seeing names of people that will be saved today. I just saw the beginning. The first one I saw was Kay; names of people that will be saved this Tuesday. They are coming in. They are coming through. The way has been prepared. We apply the blood of Jesus there and prepare that way. No weapon formed against them; telling them turn around, don’t come in—no that will not prosper in Jesus’ name.

Laborer to be at the right place at the right time

I was just reminded at the upper room on the day of Pentecost when that wind rushed through that place and it was in that room… but those out on the streets of Jerusalem heard a sound. They heard a sound and they were drawn to the place where the upper room was positioned. When the disciples and those 120 came out speaking in other tongues in the tongues of different nations. Those people were shocked and in awe that these that seemed had no teaching they were speaking in their tongue. What were they doing? Glorifying God and lifting Him up, magnifying the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. It wasn’t just that they were speaking a tongue but they were speaking a specific tongue but they were speaking and glorifying Him on that day.

Putting in the sickle—it’s time to harvest

Word of the Lord came forth…

I have waited for this hour. I have been seeking this moment. I am ready. My angels are ready. They are ready to work with you. Unto you I have committed the ministry of reconciliation. Go in and bring them in. I am lifting My light of My continence on you. Go bring in the harvest. Don’t say I have no might. Don’t say who am I? I say you are My workmanship. I have put My spirit within you. You can do it. Yes you can. Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. You can do it. Go for the harvest; go for the fruit of My vine. It is Mine and you are Mine. Do not delay. The fruit must not spoil in the field. Do not delay. The birds must not eat the fruit. Do not delay. It is time for the harvest.

It is time
He will release, He will release, He will release for you the time of harvest

Others have served but I am inviting you into My harvest. Others have labored that their labor be not in vain. I am inviting you into My harvest. It is My harvest and it is made ready and it’s for you and it will be accounted for your reward. Use the means available. Some will put in the sickle. Some will be on the social media. Some will be on the Internet. Some will be by the telephone. Some will say, “Come and see.” So bring in the harvest.

That’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place, the Spirit of the Lord is in this place. This is the Lord’s heart. This is His heart.

“God has resigned Himself irrevocably to human cooperation in the execution of the divine purposes. He has made man’s faith the determining factor in the work of redemption.” Lillian B. Yeomans.
“God delights in His people who step out beyond the aching void to do exactly what He has commanded them to do with nothing under their feet but the Word of God.” Paraphrase of Lillian B. Yeomans.

So, Father, we receive the anointing to bring in the harvest. We receive the unction to bring in the harvest. We receive the boldness to bring in the harvest. We receive the words of reconciliation to bring in the harvest. We receive the radiance of Your glory lifted up upon us as the light of Your continence to bring in the harvest. We receive the sweet smelling savor that makes men thirsty to bring in the harvest. We are the salt of the earth that make men thirsty. So we receive it to bring in the harvest. Father, we are in You as Your workmanship. We receive the focus to bring in the harvest. We put away the distraction from the harvest. We put away all the minimalist things that occupy our time that we may concentrate to bring in the harvest. This is our sole consolation and focus and we are resigned to this task and duty by Your grace to bring in the harvest that Your house may be full in the name of Jesus. And we go in with signs, wonders, and miracles in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We go in with diverse kinds of tongues. We go in with gifts of healing. We go in with faith. We go in with the wisdom of God and the knowledge of God. We go in with tongues and prophecy. We go in with the workings of miracles in the name of Jesus. We go in with the dispensation of the power of God in this hour in the name of Jesus and we bring in the souls and they come and they are rooted and they come and they are grounded and they come and they are functioning and they come and they are growing and they come and they are planted and they come and they are bearing fruit and they come and that fruit remains in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

They are not way fearing, in and out, but steadfast and unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as they know their labor in You is not in vain. Hallelujah. So, Father, we bless Your name for such an assignment and task in these last days. We bless Your name and we thank You that it gets hotter in the things of God and it gets pleasant in the things of God, gets joyful in the things of God. And men are talking of testimonies. Oh, did you see what God did today! Did you see what God did yesterday! Did you hear what God is doing! Have you seen what is happening in the house of God and the house of God is full! Full of sap!

We bless Your name. We give You the glory. For You have given us the keys of the kingdom and You are not relenting. You have given us the keys of the Kingdom to unlock every door the enemy has put to hinder the flock, every disception the enemy has imposed by the media, every lie the enemy has contorted to minister darkness. Everything he has unleashed the key of the kingdom has been given to the body of Christ to unlock every door! That Your Kingdom would be glorious! A glorious Kingdom without spot or wrinkle. The wrinkle is removed. The weakness in the body of Christ is removed. The spots are taken away and it’s a glorious Kingdom! We magnify You, Father. Who is like You in all the earth? Who can compare to Your excellent greatness. Who can compare to You Lord.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Father, I thank You for the full unleashing and display of the supernatural work of Your grace in the body of Christ that in every particular meeting all nine gifts are in operation. Hallelujah! Oh, Father, it is marvelous! Marvelous! Father, the gift of wisdom, someone will come in here and you will be reading their mail. The gift of knowledge and You will be telling them things to come. I believe Isaiah 60 is for now:

(1) Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! (2) For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. (3) And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

In lifting and praying over names this morning all of us have some kind of neighbor… we lift them up before heaven today. Every one, it is time right now for them to come in. I know they are lost. I know they don’t know. I know some have not even heard that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords has come. So we cover them with the blood of Jesus this morning and declare they are coming in and the door has been opened and the way has been prepared and we are lit up with the glory of God Almighty. Hallelujah. We have a word now, today, we have a word tomorrow in season and out of season, whatever. We are anointed and equipped and we’re bright. We are not down in the dumps. We are up and over in victory, filled with the glorious Gospel, good news light. So we are calling them in, calling them in! Calling them in! They are coming in. (ha, ha, ha). Thank You, Lord.

I like the way the Holy Spirit this morning kind of bringing up letters and names. It was just in the atmosphere for bringing them forth and that we would lift them up and not be limited by these four walls here in the Chapel or the walls of nations but just going forth, sending out prayers across the earth for those that will be—we declare it and we believe it and we expect it—they will be saved! When? Today in Jesus’ name. We thank You for it.

Thank you for what You are doing by the Spirit. We know we have not the strength but You do. We know You will use our words and bring them forth, set them free, lift them up, fill them with that same light. Thank You for it this morning. We give You all the glory and the honor and praise, thanksgiving for it in Jesus’ name. Amen.
