Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning, everybody.
Called to be “forth telling…”
Sometimes prayer is just simply “forth telling.” In other words, God wants to speak through us prophetically. And sometimes you got to do what you got to do. And you got to take the reins of your life and your situations and your household and your nation and the election and everything that you’re observant of or that you’re frustrated about… Well, maybe that’s a cue that we’re to not just simply remain frustrated about a situation or what’s going on in our nation, but maybe take that as a cue that God has called us to do something about it.
God wants us to be an innovative voice in the spirit…
As I often say, He wants to co-labor with us, to “forth tell,” to be a prophetic voice, an innovative voice in the spirit, even in your own household. Sometimes the best thing you can do is walk the floors of your home or your backyard or a local trail or whatever and just begin to announce and declare what could be and really should be regarding that situation, regarding our nation.
He wants to trumpet His purpose. He wants to announce before all the kingdom, spiritual and natural, what He intends to do and what He is doing. Prayer is so powerful, right? And as the saying goes, prayer…
Does change things
Does bring transformation
Does shift the trajectory of what’s going on in the earth realm.
It’s our ability to fiddle with the dials, to tune things differently for what God has planned and what He intends. And He does that through you, and He does that through me. Through us.
Prayer may be…
I have a couple of quick things I wanted to share with you that are maybe not exactly connected, but I’ve just kind of got excited when I heard it. I’ve shared things about the power of prayer in the past, but just recently I heard about an independent study that was done regarding prayer. And, once again, when I say prayer…
That may be praying in your heavenly prayer language
That may be silence and solitude waiting in the presence of God reflecting on His Word
That may be worship
That may be declaring the Word
That may be a prayer of faith
That may be prayer of consecration
There are various kinds of prayer. And the prayer that we should pray is the prayer we’re inspired to pray in that moment or for the situation.
Overwhelmed by His goodness…
I found myself last night at the midnight hour, on the floor of my bedroom… Just like, “Lord, I just want to say thank you. You’re so good.”
He’s just so good. Did you ever get overwhelmed, like how good He is? Almost like… just full on the inside and your soul is like fattened. Like the Bible says, your soul is fattened. Meaning just like, oh, He’s so good. I see where He’s been with me all through these years. He’s just been right there in cadence with me. Even when I was going a different direction, He was still there. He’s still there with you today. He’s right there with you. And He’s just so good and so kind and so merciful. As I say, He’s the consummate Heavenly Father. That should just bring a smile across your face.
He’s able to redeem your mistakes…
Yes, maybe the days ahead look ominous and maybe you’re going through some things right now, but my Bible says that He is the God of redemption. Not only the redemption of your soul that you would know eternal life, but the redeemer of your circumstances and the redeemer of your mistakes and your missteps. He is able to redeem them. He’s able to repurpose them and refocus you and sends you on a course in the coming days that leads to goodness and His mercy and His kindness and that dream coming to pass that He dropped in your heart maybe years before.
You see, in the heavenly realm, there is a knowledge of the goodness and the faithfulness of God to the degree that there is no knowledge of failure or no knowledge of doubt or unbelief. Only the knowledge and the celebration and the preaching that God will have His way. Heaven is declaring over you today that the Lord your Heavenly Father will have His way in your life.
God wants to create a wake…
And I declare in America and in your household and in all those who follow after you for this journey that we’ve embarked upon is far greater and impactful and supernatural than when we first believed. God wants to create a wake following behind us—
A wake of transformation
A wake of change
A wake of salvation
A wake of the supernatural in your life, in my life.
Elon Musk is an inspiration to expect more from God…
I was thinking about Elon Musk. I can’t get enough of the video on social media of the Falcon Heavy rocket that they caught on the first attempt! And I think, “Oh my goodness, that is just like science “fictiony.” Excuse my English. Like WOW! That’s so amazing. I can’t get enough of watching that video of that Falcon Heavy plummeting to earth at rates of speed. And then with such precision being caught in that tower. Like that’s just amazing to me.
And I think, “wow,” how much more is possible to us who have engaged with the God of heaven, who knows all things and is everywhere at one time. Us, who possess the great and mighty Holy Spirit, the great advantage, the one who comes to profit us and to equip us and to propel us forward, to bring change to our world… We’re thinking too small! And prayer has the potential to reshape our perspectives and enlarge our thinking, and transform us to such a degree that we as well, and even more so in this generation, like the first generation of Christians, can turn this world upside right… or upside down! However you want to look at it. For good and for God.
Why, of course…
Because of the power we possess and the name that we profess and the Spirit who takes up residence on the inside of us. Hallelujah. Glory to God!
Why, of course, it’s the will of God that you should be healed!
Why, of course, you will step into the fullness of what God intends for you in the coming days!
Why, of course, you and your household shall be saved and serve the Lord!
This might be uncomfortable for somebody, but you better get used to it because what I’ve heard from those who have had experiences in the realm of heaven, when Jesus preaches, there’s fire in His eyes. And there’s no uncertain terms in what He says. It is to overturn darkness with works of goodness. It is victory. It is certainty that the will of God will come to pass.
You’ve got to step out and not hang back…
You got to step out onto the precipice of faith now… not hang back… not be reticent or procrastinate through incessant processing in your mind. But, instead, respond to the Spirit of God in prayer, certainly. But in other ways as well.
It’s like Elon Musk… he knows something about risks that some of us don’t even have a clue about. He’s willing to take a risk to build a rocket and then re-land it on planet earth where it took off. That’s just like crazy! From the natural perspective that he could even do that. But it’s a small thing in comparison to what God intends to do… through you and through me.
So I pray today that your perspective would be just blown up and the boundaries redrawn as far as what’s possible for your future. That you would see that healing is yours and no matter what the diagnosis was from the doctor, that that does not change the fact that Jesus came and bore stripes on His back to pay the full price to purchase your healing, whatever it is that you need. Glory to God. Thank you, Father.
Study on prayer having an effect on the brain…
I heard a recent independent study… I don’t know that this was even anything related to a Christian organization or not. But the study showed that with just 12 minutes of focused prayer per day over the course of eight weeks, that it produced enough change in the mind of the average person in this study that it could be measured by a brain scan. In other words, tangible transformation or change in neural pathways in what was going on in the mind. You could detect it! Or actually calibrate or measure it with a brain scan. Over just eight weeks! Twelve minutes a day of focused prayer. You could say focused gratitude. I’m sure that’s part of it. Gratitude, worship, prayer, prayer in the spirit.
Prayer flips a switch in your brain…
There was another study done many years ago that showed that when someone prays in tongues, that it flips a switch in a part of your brain that scientists and neurologists know nothing else turns that switch on except people who pray in tongues. And when that switch is flipped in your brain, it has a positive and produces something positive and helpful in that person’s mind and psychology in life.
These researchers found that prayer reconfigured your neural pathways. In other words, those little roadways in your mind that allow you to think, process, problem solve, think effectively and helpfully. It targets and defeats toxic thoughts, worries, fears, and even unforgiveness.
Prayer targets unhealthy, toxic thought patterns…
You know that in the Bible it talks about how unforgiveness dries out your bones. It affects you in a negative way to the point that affects your health and even could cause you to die early if you hold on to unforgiveness and grudges. Well, prayer targets those unhealthy, toxic patterns of thought and things that go on in your soul and it corrects and heals them.
It goes on to say, “It targets and defeats toxic thoughts, worries, and fears, unforgiveness, which can damage your mind and body through harmful chemicals that they produce. Prayer on the other hand, generates chemicals and hormones in the body that have a positive and powerful effect.”
Love that!
The word “shift” being brought up by different people…
Now, let me share one other thing that’s not exactly related, but I thought it was interesting… speaking of the power of prayer. This article caught my attention because the word “shifted” was in there. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve talked about a shift… prayed about a shift over the last several years.
Tucker Carlson…
Before I even share that article, I actually heard something from… you guys know who Tucker Carlson is? Tucker Carlson in an interview recently stated the supernatural… And Tucker is a Christian, but he’s lived a very secular lifestyle from what I understand. I don’t know him that well. But in recent years, he’s embraced a spiritual perspective and recognizes the importance of the Bible and the God of Heaven. And he said this in a podcast or an interview: “The spiritual realm has become recognizable even to secular people today. People are waking up to spirituality. There’s a low-key Christian revival underway.” He went on to say that it doesn’t look like the revival of 1923 or some revival of the fifties with Oral Roberts and the healing tent revivals of that time after World War II. But he said it’s going on. And people are waking up and referring to God and the spiritual realm now and having experiences even on their own where God’s visiting them.
Something has shifted…
Well, I’m going to connect that to something else I just came across about how something has “shifted.” The article comes from CBN. It’s entitled, “Something Has Shifted: Pastors Report Revival Fires Spreading in the UK.
“Revival fires are reportedly spreading across the United Kingdom, from England to Ireland. Christians are witnessing a shift…” There’s that word! “And a new hunger of God in once spiritually dry regions.”
These are areas in Europe where less than 5% of people profess to be born again Christians, evangelical Christians. Something has shifted in the last six months. It feels almost like it’s a rising river, said Pastor Craig Cooney, who leads Hope Church in Northern Ireland. He believes the spiritual drought brought on by the pandemic is over. “Between 2020 and 2023, I found myself often saying that I’ve never seen the church at such a low ebb. That it just felt like we were going through the motions post covid. That the church was struggling. Their numbers were down. But not only were their numbers down, there was just a lack of zeal, a lack of passion, a lack of enthusiasm, a lack of growth.
And then something shifted around the start of this year of 2024.
Remember I read that prophecy about how there was a shifting, a transition, a shaking that would go on in 2024. I read that from someone. I think her name was Cindy Jacobs.
The article goes on to say, “And something shifted around the start of the year, I would say. And it’s difficult to describe or define, Cooney said. Cooney who also reaches more than a hundred thousand people on Instagram at daily.prophetic says the most incredible noticeable change is a tangible presence of God, as well as an increased number of healings.
I don’t know if he says it in here, but he also said an increased desire and passion to pray where people are coming together to intercede for like an hour-long straight stretch of just intercession.
The article goes on to say, “There is this sense of God in the room, that there has been birthed out of and has probably birthed an increase in prayer. We have seen that in our own church. About 20% of our church now come to our weekly prayer meeting, which is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. It’s not a convenient time, but it’s just an hour of solid intercession. And there’s just people crying… crying out for lost people… crying out for their families.
He goes on to say, “And every single week we are getting testimonies of healings from people who might not even six months ago believed in divine healing.”
I think that’s an earmark we’re already seeing is that people you would not even think would be a part of revival are waking up to God and experiencing the supernatural hand of God in their lives.
It goes on to say, “I mean really it’s not the people you might expect quite honestly. It’s the people who when they say they’re healed, they’re healed because they wouldn’t be making this stuff up,” Cooney said.
And then I kind of skipped down to the end of the article where he goes on to say, “When asked if this means we’re experiencing revival, he said, quote, ‘I was thinking of Elijah. Where he keeps sending the servant back to see if there’s rain coming. Remember there was no rain and the drought needed to be broken, and Elijah prayed. And finally he sent his servant and he sent him once and he sent them twice and he said, ‘Elijah, I don’t see even a cloud.’ And by the seventh time, he sees the cloud the size of a man’s hand.
So this pastor goes on to say, “And he said the seventh time I see a cloud the size of a man’s hand. And the cloud wasn’t the rain, but it was a sign that something was coming! And Elijah got into the birthing position. What is that also known as… Prayer!
Paul said, I travail in birth till Christ be formed in you.
Prayer is the birthing position…
Prayer is the place where God desires to birth through us His intention, His will.
He wants to birth salvations.
He wants to birth healings.
He wants to birth new ideas.
He wants to birth new songs.
He wants to birth new messages and new businesses, new organizations.
When you’re praying, He’s birthing direction for your life. Today even. That you would go talk to someone or confront a situation or speak over something you see on the news that there might be an impact and an influence on it.
When you prayer, you are exercising influence…
Spiritual leadership is the exercise of influence in the spiritual realm. When you pray, you are exercising influence. When you stand up and speak truth, you’re exercising influence. You better believe that in the spirit realm, the enemy recognizes your authority. That’s why we must more and more be confident in and understand what has been invested in us. In Christ, you stand in an office of a king and a priest. You stand in a generation. You were sent here on a mission to stand up and proclaim and preach and pray and prophesy.
The Devil is scared spitless of you…
That’s why the Devil is scared spitless. That’s why he’s crazy and chaotic running throughout the earth trying to stop what God is doing now. Because if the true church wakes up, it’s all over! That’s what God’s endeavoring to do.
Tommy Hicks…
That’s why Tommy Hicks back in the fifties had that prophetic vision of the sleeping giant breaking free from things that held it down and rising up.
That’s our prayer this morning.
That the church at Living Word, the church in your household, the church in you, the church worldwide would wake up, be aroused, and fully circumspect.
A prayer that’s just been rising up in me recently is “Lord, teach me to number my days.” The Bible says in the New Testament that we’re to redeem the time for the days are evil. So, Lord, teach us to take advantage of the beautifulness of time and space and the fact that we are sons of God and we get to be here right now. We’re not just passing time. We’re here with the privilege of time
To use it to glorify God
To use it to pray
To use it to bring change
To use it to obey Him and follow Him and “catch rockets”!
