When we got in the car this morning, the whole morning the Holy Spirit had been telling me to bring my crown, and then I got in the car and I had forgotten it! And He said, “Go back and get it.” And then when I got here, Kathy already had this worship. Holy Spirit had highlighted this worship.
Don’t let the enemy divert your focus…
With everything that’s happening, we can be tempted to look at what the enemy is doing and forget that He is the King of Kings, that we have the authority, and He’s our king. So this morning, let Him minister your worthiness to you to go into these territories. We’re not here to sit on the pew. We’re here to be equipped and to go… and to go… and to go… and to go. And what the enemy is doing is to tempt you of your unworthiness, but you are completely and fully equipped in Him.
Jesus brought the good news under tyranny…
When Jesus was here, He was here under a Roman occupation. He was here to bring the Good News under tyranny. Think about that! All of God’s promises were promised in the midst of tyranny, in the midst of a Roman occupation. Does this sound familiar?
We are the answer to what is happening right now…
Holy Spirit, you minister kingship… you minister sonship to us… you minister that you are the King of Kings… that you are the Lord of Lords. Because You are worthy, we’re worthy. You gave us authority. We lean into the truth of the Gospel, the truth of the Good News… that we have the mind of Christ. We have the answers. We are the answer to what’s happening right now. Why? Because the answer is in us. In fact, the answers that you are seeking even right now, in this moment, are in you because He’s in you.
Put your crown on this morning…
We’re worthy because He’s worthy. In fact, Holy Spirit, I thank you. You minister to us and you convict us of the mandate to receive the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus… the mandate to receive that we are worthy. We lean into that. No more hiding… no more running. You’re the one with the answer because the one with the answer is in you. It’s the way He set it up.
Who are you to disagree with God?
If we agree with God, we can’t sit on the couch. We have to get up and go. We have to take risks. We have to occupy.
Father, I thank you that you minister your worthiness to us. We minister your worthiness to you. But we keep our eyes on your worthiness and out of that, we take our eyes off of ourselves and we thank you that we’re here to win!
Did you hear me?
Did Jesus say “lose and lose some more and be discouraged and be discouraged some more until I come?” Did He say it anywhere? He never said that!
We are God’s holy people. Ephesians says we are the faithful followers of Jesus Christ… right here, right now, walking the earth, you are a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. When He looks at you, He doesn’t see not one thing wrong. Not one thing.
Keep moving forward…
So today traffic was nutty, but we stayed in the car and we kept moving forward until we got here. Things are nutty! Just keep moving forward and you’re getting there. Just keep moving.
Ephesians 1:3. “Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful Heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus, all because He sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate Him with all our hearts.”
Imagine the trust that He has in us to give us such a gift. Imagine the confidence that He has in His relationship with you to give you such a gift. When you give someone a precious gift, there has to be a level of trust that they’ll steward it well. There has to be a level of confidence in the relationship. What if today you decided that God was confident in His relationship with you? What if you decided to believe that? What if you decided to believe that He sees you worthy, that there is no condemnation? Because He sees you in Jesus, because He sees you in Christ, because He already sees you perfected.
And what if you walked everything out of that decision? Sin would no longer be appealing to you because there’s no power in it. Fear, doubt, and unbelief would no longer appeal to you. Because there’s no power in it… because there’s no relationship with the Father in it.
By the way, we’re not under tyranny…
So even as I read your Word right now, Father, minister to all of us what it looks like to walk as the people of God here on the earth under tyranny. And by the way, we’re not under tyranny. We’re here to walk in our authority. You minister righteousness to us. You minister authority to us. You minister that we already have it. And it’s already been lavished upon us. You minister your confidence in our relationship to us. No insecurity in the relationship. When Jesus looks at you… when the Father looks at you… when Holy Spirit ministers to you, it is the purest form of confidence… with faith. Confidence in His love for you and who He says you are.
Let’s just imagine…
So let’s just for right now, just imagine what your day would be like if you were completely confident that God was completely confident in you, that He gave you full reign and fully equipped you to succeed in whatever you do today. Imagine that every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon you. Why is it a spiritual blessing? Because you’re a spiritual being and that gives you the advantage to speak into every situation and to cause those things to line up right here on earth right now.
Imagine… let your mind go there with Holy Spirit. Imagine winning today. Imagine breakthrough today. Imagine that His Word never returns void today. Imagine wealth today in your hands. Wisdom for what do we do with this wealth today?
Are the people with the money doing a good job? Are they? No. Imagine you, righteous, a heart towards God of whom God approves of, of whom God is confident in your relationship with wealth to form and shape culture.
Imagine it!
Imagine that we’ve been here before… before you were even born. Never one time did He say “Keep losing. Keep focusing on everything the enemy’s doing until I return.” Not one time!
I thank you that the Holy Spirit ministers what you did for us on the cross, a worth and a value that we could never earn. And we become confident at what you did. But, Father, so confident that we walk it out today, that we have a Holy Spirit fire in us to walk it out today… that not one drop of blood, that not one moment on that cross would be wasted ever again in our lives.
Dreams… small dreams have got to grow up now. It’s time for them to grow up and have legs and have hands and have feet.
“Yeah, but everything’s happening.”
Exactly! That’s why your dream is so needed. And if He’s worthy, then we step into our callings. Because He’s worthy, we get over ourselves and we keep our eyes on Him. Is He worthy? Then don’t be stupid and religious. Please just stop it! You are made to demonstrate His glory. That’s the whole point of right now …is to demonstrate His glory. You’re it! You’re up!
We do it with joy…
And, Father, we do it with joy. Thank you for it. Father, you do deserve the glory.
Okay, I thought I was going to be in Ephesians. But I’m going to John 15. This is so audacious what Jesus says in John 15. It’s absolutely ridiculous! And talk about demonstrating a confidence in the relationship! And He’s saying it under tyranny. Here’s what He is saying. Now, the one that’s saying this is living in you right now. If you’re a believer, if you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, He’s in you right now telling you this, with full confidence in His relationship with you… with full confidence that He knows how to speak to you… with full confidence that He already finished it… with full confidence if you just stay on the road you’re going to get there. Because it’s already been established. Here’s what He’s saying to you.
He’s saying, “Hey you, I’m the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.” “Hey you! My Father cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit, so they will produce even more fruit.” He always has increase in mind. “Hey, you! You’ve already been pruned and purified by the message I’ve given you. Be encouraged. I see you ready?”
That’s what He says. So that’s how it is. “Hey, you! You remain in Me. And I remain in you, for a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine. And you can be fruitful unless you remain in Me.”
But isn’t that cool? You’re only a decision away every time to abide. So what is the result of abiding? “Yes, I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who remain in Me and I in them will produce much fruit.”
Father, I thank you that you renew and restore and ignite the hope for much fruit produced, the expectation of fruit because we abide in you. How do we know if we’re abiding? You have your crown on. Do you have your crown on today? Put your crown on. Relationship.
“Yes, I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who remain in Me and I and in them will produce much fruit.” And if He says much fruit, that must mean a lot of fruit. That must mean manifested evidence. That must mean so much that others are partaking of it.
We have a mandate for success…
Have you ever had a lot of fruit and not know what to do with it? That is what you’re called to walk in. You’re called to walk in a lavish abundance because the world needs you to walk in lavish abundance. Do you realize that? It’s not just you and your needs. That’s already been taken care of. The world, your neighbors, your friends, your city, your school needs you to walk in lavish abundance. It is a mandate. We have a mandate for success, the kind of success that He already paid for.
And I kind of don’t understand why I’m feeling so bossy about this, but I do. I have such a weighty humility about accepting that we are called to walk in lavish abundance because the earth is crying out for it. Yet we keep getting into false humility, which is pride, which is the enemy that says, “If we somehow have just enough or even a three to six month reserve, then we’re a good responsible Christian.”
Do you know how gross and stinky that is?
It is so gross and stinky and boring! And God help me right now as I’m saying this. You know how when you’re saying something and you know you’re out on an edge? But we’re made to live out on the edge! And what I’m about to say, which was what Jesus said is edgy. Here we go. “I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who remain in Me and I in them will produce much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.” Glory, hallelujah!
But He didn’t stop there. “But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want and it will be granted.” I didn’t say that. He said it.
When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. Did you hear that? When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. Where does the fruit begin? In abiding.
