Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Worship leader Goke…
Good morning and welcome to Morning Prayer. How are y’all doing this morning?
Ephesians 5:18…
God says in Ephesians 5:18 that we shall not be drunk with wine. It’s unlikely that anyone is drunk with wine this early. “But be filled, be being filled with the Spirit.” Hallelujah! We are to be filled with the Spirit any time: morning, afternoon, night, midnight hour. Any time of the day, we should be caught being filled. In fact, it’s okay to be drunk in the Spirit any time of the day. And it says, “Speaking to yourselves with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, making melody in your heart, giving thanks to the Lord.”
Psalms 97…
How about starting with a psalm this morning? Let’s read a psalm together. This was coming up in my heart this morning. “The Lord reigns. The Lord reigns. The Lord reigns…” So I went for the Psalm that starts with “the Lord reigns.” Psalm 97. Let’s read it together. Hallelujah.
Psalm 97. I’m reading from New King James Version.
1 The Lord reigns;
Let the earth rejoice;
Let the multitude of isles be glad!
2 Clouds and darkness surround Him;
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 A fire goes before Him,
And burns up His enemies round about.
4 His lightnings light the world;
The earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples see His glory.
7 Let all be put to shame who serve carved images,
Who boast of idols.
Worship Him, all you gods.
8 Zion hears and is glad,
And the daughters of Judah rejoice
Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
9 For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods.
10 You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
And give thanks the remembrance of His holy name.
Prayed…
Let’s just give thanks as we remember His name this morning. Hallelujah.
And we proclaim, Lord, that You reign.
You reign. Lord, King of Kings, Alpha, Omega, Beginning and the End, First and the Last, Maker, Creator.
You make a way in the wilderness.
You make a way where there seems to be no way.
Pastor Heather…
Yes, you reign far above every principality, every power.
You are high and lifted up.
Thank you, Father, the omnipotent one, the all-powerful God.
You reign far higher above it all.
Question…
What’s your situation today?
He reigns far above it all.
So whatever that thing is that’s trying to be big in your life, that darkness that’s trying to encroach, no, no, He reigns. The all-powerful, omnipotent one reigns. He reigns.
There’s no one like Him, and nothing can stand against Him, stand against the plans of our all-powerful God.
We bring that darkness to the Lord…
Yeah, so bring that thing, whatever that is, that situation, that diagnosis, that bill that needs to be paid, that relational issue, that need for a job, that plan for your future, whatever that is, you bring it before the omnipotent One today, the all-powerful One, for surely He already has a plan. He can do anything, and nothing and no one can stand against Him.
We lay down every care before Him…
So we do that now, Father. We lay down every care. Every weight that pulls on us, hinders us.
We lay it down now before the all-powerful One, the One who reigns on high, far above every principality, every power, every device of the Devil.
Nope, He reigns. And His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven.
So now bring that thing before the all-powerful One, the omnipotent One.
Nothing is too difficult for Him.
Nothing is past His redemption, His restoration.
Nothing is too late.
Nothing is too far gone that He can’t resurrect it, He can’t restore it, He can’t refresh it, He can’t make a new plan.
Nothing is impossible for you because you reign on high.
You reign over our hearts.
You reign over our communities.
You reign over our families.
You reign over Living Word.
You reign, and we put you back on that throne now, that throne of our hearts.
Nothing takes that place. Nothing and no one can take your place.
So we put you back in that rightful place, Father.
We put down anything we’ve exalted above Him…
If there’s anything that we’ve exalted above you, that we’ve worried about more than we prayed about, that has kept us up at night, that has been maybe troubling us, Father, we put that down now. We put that down at your feet. You said to cast our cares, for you care for us. And so we do that now because you reign, and nothing can get in the way of your plan, of your purpose.
Worshiping Him for His character…
The omnipotent One, the all-powerful. You’re omniscient. You’re all-knowing. You see it all. You know it all.
Nothing is hidden from your presence. And you’re omnipresent. You’re everywhere at once.
So not only are you halfway across the world helping somebody, you’re here with us now.
You’re so good, Father, always with us. You never leave us. You never forsake us.
Declaration of His ability…
Nothing is too difficult for you.
So whatever that is, that thing that you’re making too difficult for Him to solve… no, no, no.
Nothing is too difficult for you, Lord. We declare that now. “Nothing is too difficult for you.”
No one can stand against you, your plans and your purposes.
Reminding ourselves of who our God is…
So we remind our soul today, “Why are you cast down, oh my soul?”
“Surely you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Nothing is too difficult for my God.
No giant can come against His plan. No, no, no.
So we thank you, Father, that you’ve given us stones and a slingshot for those giants.
You’ve given us courage.
You give us boldness in the face of the enemy, that we would rise up.
We would say, “Is there not a cause?”
Rebuking the enemy…
Enemy, don’t raise your ugly head and try to tell me that I’m going to be defeated, that your plan is going to reign. No, no, no. His plan reigns. My God reigns. He always reigns. He always wins. He always has the victory.
Aligning our thoughts with His…
We thank you, Father, right now, we just line up our thoughts with your thoughts.
We line up our ways with your ways.
We remind ourselves that the all-powerful God lives inside of us.
The Holy Spirit, that dynamite power, is inside of us.
That greater works shall we do.
Question…
Where are the greater works?
So we speak to the body of Christ now.
The solution to the greater works…
We say “Rise up, wake up, Church. Where are the greater works?”
Fan those flames. Increase that hunger. Seek His face. Seek His ways.
Walk in the power He’s given you. Use the authority He’s given you.
The omnipotent One, the all-powerful One lives inside of you, so now access that power.
Use that power. Speak out those words. Change situations. Change atmospheres. Speak things into existence.
Bind and loose. Open your mouth, Church.
Use that authority that you’ve been given to speak.
Believe and speak.
Oh don’t worry, don’t obsess, don’t think about the problem.
No, you speak! you pray! you declare! you change that situation with your words!
You speak the truth. The truth shall set you free.
So break those lies of the enemy.
Question…
What would those lies be?
Those lies that say you’re sick.
Those lies that say you won’t have enough.
Those lies that say that this bad thing is going to happen. Those are lies. Lies, lies, lies of the enemy.
Solution to the lies…
And so you break them with your words in the name of Jesus.
So we bind every lie of the enemy, everything that would try to hold us back from the plan and the will of God, we bind it in the name of Jesus.
We loose your power over every situation in our lives, your will, your way.
Thank you, Father, that your Word is like a two-edged sword in our mouths.
Thank you that you’ve given us weapons for our warfare.
Because we are in a war.
And it’s not a time to sleep now. It’s time to use the weapons of your warfare.
Yes, you can rest. You can rest once you know that you’ve given it to the Lord.
But you speak and you use those weapons. You rest in the knowledge that He is going out and taking care of them after you’ve obeyed and spoke over those situations.
Question…
So what is that thing now that’s trying to come against you, that thing you’ve been worrying about?
Maybe it’s keeping you up at night.
The solution—the Word…
You speak against it now. You speak the Word of God over it.
What does the Word say about that situation?
Are you sick in your body? What does the Word say? “By His stripes, you were healed.”
Are you worrying? What does the Word say? “Do not worry but pray without ceasing.”
Do you have anxiety? What does the Word say? “He’s not given you a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.”
Find your Word and you speak it. You stand on it.
Yeah, don’t let the Devil bully you.
Nope, he doesn’t have the right.
We are sons and daughters of the living God.
And He has given us all power, all authority.
And He said, “Greater works shall we do.”
Yes, so we shouldn’t be just scraping by.
No, we should be thriving.
We should be a thriving church, alive with His Spirit, alive with His Word, charging out, courage, boldness.
Making declaration over Living Word…
So we declare that over Living Word now.
We thank You that our congregation, our families are thriving, that we are right in the perfect will of God, that we are hungry.
We thank You that the gifts of Spirit are in operation in our church.
We thank You for an awakening.
For our need for You, that we have to fully rely on You, Father.
That we walk in the spirit, not in the flesh.
Yes, that we take our place. That place that You put out before us, Father.
Everybody has a call. Everybody has a purpose.
And so now I thank You for an awakening and a hunger to walk in Your purposes, in Your plans.
Prayer to break the power of the enemy…
We break the deception of the enemy. We break that now.
Every tool he’s tried to deceive to pull people off of the plan of God in this church, right now we break it in Jesus’ name.
We thank You that eyes are open.
We thank You that ears hear.
We thank You that hearts understand everything that You have planned for us, Father.
So we tell the enemy to get your hands off this church.
Get your hands off our families.
Get your hands off our finances.
Get your hands off our bodies.
Faith declaration…
As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.
And it will be done according to His Word.
For He reigns. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world.
Reminder not to make your problem bigger by magnifying it…
And I think some people need to be reminded of that today.
They’ve made the problem bigger. They’ve made the mountain bigger.
No, no, no. Our God is all-powerful. He’s high and lifted up.
He’s the commander of the angel armies.
Nothing and no one can stand against Him—the creator of the universe.
He told the stars where to go.
He causes the sun to rise and the moon at night.
But also, He knows the number of hairs on our heads.
His thoughts towards us are like the grains of sand on all the beaches.
That’s a lot of thoughts that He has about you.
And what are His thoughts? They are good and not evil, to give you a future, a hope, a plan and a purpose.
So seek Him today. Worship Him today. Lift Him on high today.
Magnify your King of Kings and your Lord of Lords.
Yes, for these troubles are passing. They’re temporary.
But His plans are eternal, forever and amen.
So get your eyes off your temporary circumstances. For all eternity is calling.
Greater plans, greater purposes than this fleeting discomfort.
So fight the good fight. Don’t lay down and let the Devil run over you.
No, no, no. For great are your weapons of warfare. Nothing is too difficult for my God.
Isaiah 40:25…
I’m going to read Isaiah 40:25 in the Amplified Classic.
25 To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high and see! Who has created these? He Who brings out their host by number and calls them all by name; through the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing or lacks anything.
27 Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God?
Basically, why are you saying God doesn’t see and He doesn’t care?
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.
29 He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;
31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Praying about renewing our strength…
Those that wait, that hope, that expect in the Lord, we wait now.
We put our hope and our expectations in you.
And we know that a lot of us are feeling weary these days, Father, but we wait so that we can renew and exchange our strength.
You renew our strength.
Renew our strength today, Father, to wait, to stand.
We put our hope in You and in You alone.
We don’t run forward. We don’t worry about the situation.
No, we wait on you, knowing that you are renewing our strength as we wait.
As we keep our eyes on you, and that we’ll mount up like wings of eagles.
We rise up closer to you, Father, as we wait on your presence.
Magnifying the Lord in prayer…
We thank you that there’s nothing and no one like you.
And nothing and no one can stand against your plans and purposes.
Nothing is impossible with you.
So we thank you, Father, that even today as we waited, as we worshiped, as we magnify your name, you were changing situations.
You were healing bodies.
You were making provision.
You were opening doors.
You’re working on our behalf.
You’re working all things together for our good.
And we trust you, Father, for we know you are a good God and all-powerful God.
And your eyes are always going to and fro, looking for those who are hungry for you, looking for those who are seeking you.
We get our eyes off of the problem and we put our eyes back on you.
And we know that whatever that problem is, you already have a plan.
You always have a plan.
And we’re seated with you in heavenly places.
And you’ve given us authority over all things.
The Devil is under our feet.
So today we say, “Devil, you are under our feet.”
And if we’ve allowed you to be anywhere else, we say today, “Get back under our feet, for we’ve been given authority by the name of Jesus to put you back in your place.”
Father, thank you for the authority you’ve given us through the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
You paid for that authority with a precious price.
And so let us never forget to take that authority, use that authority because you paid such a great price for it.
We remind ourselves of that today.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
For our all-powerful God reigns on high and He cares about every situation of our lives.
We thank you for this time today, Father, for the reminder of who you are and all that you’ve given us access to in the Spirit.
And remind us, Father, to use those weapons that you’ve given us, to use the authority you’ve given us to speak out against anything that would try to come against your plan for our lives.
We praise you for that today. And as always, we give you all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Thanks so much for coming today. My name’s Heather Sibinski. I’m one of the pastors here at Living Word. Have a blessed day.
