Morning Prayer Summary for Thursday, June 30, 2022

Pastor Ken…

Good morning, everyone. Welcome on this Thursday morning, the 30th of June.

I wanted to let you know, because it is the 4th of July weekend coming up and Monday we have the day off. We will not have live morning prayer this coming Monday. So just a heads up about that. But, we will be streaming one of the “best of” morning prayer.

Pastor from Indonesia had word for America…

In conjunction with the 4th of July, I was thinking about something that was shared with me a few years ago from a woman pastor in Indonesia. I don’t know how I got this exactly, but I feel like the Lord just brought it to my attention this morning. This was shared with me on the 3rd of July, a couple years ago. And I think the admonition from this pastor from Indonesia is as timely and apropos today and maybe more so as it was a couple years ago when it was shared about the same time.

And I think all of us know there are real serious things happening in our country right now. Decisions being made, things that are going down almost on a daily basis. And one of the emphasis I’ve made here in morning prayer is the importance for us as pray-ers to be sensitive and available to the Spirit of God, for Him to work in us and to work through us in the influence of what’s going on in our world and in the change of what’s going on in our world.

Word from Indonesian Pastor…

And this timely word from this pastor from Indonesia is really under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It was given to America really. And it’s a warning message. And she says,

“Church, believers, Americans, isn’t it time to return to the Lord? May I challenge each believer, each congregation throughout the United States to bow your knees and your hearts to your Maker? This nation has gone on its own merry way away from God and His ways for so long now and see where that has brought it. It’s time to return to your God.

Believers, you may say, “I am not one of those who has turned away.” But will you stand in the gap for those that have? Will you stand in the gap for your nation? Will you stand in the gap for your children and your children’s children? This is the nation that they are inheriting from you. Will you let it go into destruction? I wish I do not have to tell you this. I wish I am sharing a more popular message with you, but I can only speak what I am to speak.

This is not the day of celebration, but consecration. This is not a day of feasting but fasting. This is not a day to party but to pray. Bow your knees and cry out to God for this nation. I told you that you may not like this message. I have shared it. Now what you do with it is between you and God. The choice is yours. Do not miss your day of visitation, church. I’m sorry if I’m spoiling your partying mood. But there will be another day to party. Will you respond to the call of the Spirit?

God bless the United States of America, the body of Christ and Israel. And may the Lord bless you and your loved ones and watch over you always.

Worship…

Pastor Ken…

Jeanie said something about the main point that God is trying to get across to the church about occupying and referencing in the New Testament. But I also was thinking about the prophetic main point from the Old Testament, which we’re all probably familiar with found in 2nd Corinthians 7:14. Let me just read it in case you want to be refreshed. It says it, “My people…” in other words, this is the point right now. This is where we’re at. This is one of the ways we occupy. And what I want to lean into here just for a few moments in prayer. It says, “If my people who are called by my name.” That’s us. “Shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity my face and turn from their wicked ways. Then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”

It’s speaking of intercession, at least one of the main points here. And intercession as I’ve said before is defined as “to get in the way.” Or to step into the messy middle of a situation, of a nation, of a circumstance, of a person’s journey that’s off course and to pray and to intercede and help God get His way in that individual’s life… in that church… in that city… in that nation.

So I just invite you if you’re online or in this chapel to close your eyes for a few moments. And I invite you to give Him permission to show you where you need to lean in and step in and get in the way of what the enemy is doing in a life, in a home, in a business, in a situation, in our nation perhaps. And I want us to just lean in right now and lift that situation up in your heavenly prayer language and just pray about that right now.

Prayed…

Father, we get in the way, we interrupt the enemy’s devices and strategies and activity today … specifically our nation today…

We lift up America… and we reflect back to you your will and your desire and design for our nation today. And we just call out for mercy, Lord… We humble ourselves as the Word says… we bow our hearts before you today.

Lord, we repent as representatives of our land… for our waywardness, our slothfulness, our slowness to respond to you, our obsession with self, our partying and pursuit of our own agenda.

Lord, we repent of that today and we lay it down before you… we repent and we consecrate ourselves to you.

Lord, we go to a place of consecration and submit ourselves to pray. And we just invite you, Holy Spirit… we commit and consecrate ourselves and ask you and even invite you, giving you permission to interrupt us during this holiday weekend and in the weeks and months ahead to have your way in us and have your way through us in regards to prayers, intercessions, giving of thanks, praying out the prayers that you’re granting now.

We pray that we would be recipients of a fresh download of heaven right now into our hearts of prayers that you’re granting and giving and inspiring … that we would pray that we would speak, that we would just be available for that now, sensitive and aware for the culmination it says in the New Testament of all things is at hand, therefore be sober minded. In other words, be circumspect, be sensitive. Have your eyes wide open, therefore for the practice of prayer.

Lord, we give ourselves like the first century church, as it is recorded in the New Testament, we give ourselves to prayer.

We pray for the church in America… come and bless us, Lord… even as the old timers would pray, Bless us, Lord, bless your church… endow us with a fresh wind of the Spirit, a fresh baptism from on high with the very flames that come from your altar… we pray for a baptism and an immersion and a renewing of the church in our land … that we would not stay stuck in religion or past experience.
