Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Prayer leader Jeannie…

Welcome to prayer. I’m Jeannie. That’s my husband, Mike. Good morning.

Reaction to the announcement of Pastor Tim’s passing…

When I came to church on Saturday, Mike was up north. I was sitting toward the front when Pastor Jim made the announcement of Pastor Tim going to heaven. So I immediately left the sanctuary to call Mike so he would hear it from me. And then I came back to my seat, and I was sitting towards the front. And I was furious. I’m sitting in the front with a fierce look on my face asking God about this whole thing. And I’m furious! And my next question to my Father is… a lot of times anger is a secondary emotion. I’m like, “Is this a secondary emotion?” He said, “No, you’re furious.” Because it was all completely and fully the enemy. But that fierce look on my face would not leave. And it probably looked like I was mad. Well, because I was!

And then our pastor gets up and starts talking about the righteousness of God that we have in Christ Jesus and the goodness of God. And the look on my face grows fiercer the more he talks about it.

Why?

Because we have leaders that, despite what the enemy did, have a revelation of God’s goodness. And they won’t allow anything the enemy does for them to relent regarding His goodness.

And in that moment, I said, “God, how does this happen? That our pastor gets the message and is even I’m sure participated in not allowing death to have the final say even though Pastor Tim’s in heaven. How does he get up there and talk about Your goodness?”

And He goes, “Because he knows about My goodness and so do you. And Living Word is about to experience My goodness on a level never seen before.”

Pastor Ken talked about it on Monday…

And then the beautiful… It’s just, like, so gorgeous that we have Pastor Ken, so pastoral, comes and leads prayer on Monday and talks about pouring your heart out to God. And then I just go for a drive with God and have a very inappropriate, non-pretty conversation with my Dad. Because He wants to hear our hearts.

So look at what we have here. We have a people that stand, that refuse anything but what God said. And even when the enemy comes in and he kills, and he steals, and destroys… guess what? He really didn’t do that. Because the truth is that God is good and there is a people here that refuse to ever, ever, ever do anything but enforce His goodness.

We’re on the docket, so what do we share?

So then this morning, and Dave’s about to take off with praise, I’m asking God… I’m like, “Okay, I’m on the docket. What are we doing?” Mike and I are in the kitchen, and I’m like, “Okay, is He sharing anything with you?”

God did not lead them on the main road…

And, he kept getting kind of where we touched last time when we were here about the Red Sea moment. But then we landed on Exodus 13:17, when Pharaoh finally let the people go… Now we know that was not Pharaoh’s decision. We know God put pressure on the enemy, and he had to relent. God did not lead them along the main road that runs through the Philistine territory, which was the territory of the giants, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land.

God said, “If the people are faced with the battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” Did you hear that? I’m going to read it again. I am getting to a point that applies to this situation. “When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through giant territory, even though that was the shortest route.”

Did you hear that?

Giant territory is the shortest route…

Giant territory is the shortest route. Did you hear that? Let your heart hear it. Let your soul hear it. Giant territory is the shortest route. When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road. The main road!

I’m in Exodus 13:17. That runs through giant territory, right on through. Even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with the battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”

The enemy tried to kill, steal, and destroy the vision for Living Word…

That moment on Saturday, this scripture came to light. The enemy came and attempted to kill, steal, and destroy the vision, the word that God has spoken over Living Word, over the Twin Cities, over Minnesota, over the plans that God has for the nations coming out of Living Word. And our leaders chose the land that goes right through Giant territory.

Do you see that?

What was their first response? “Um, yeah, the enemy did that?”
This is what God says. “Yeah, this is what’s happening.”
This is what God says. “Yeah, this is a fact.”
This is what God says. “We’re going in. We’re going in.”

Our leaders chose to go through giant territory…

Our pastors chose the shortest route. We are following suit. We refuse to be controlled by circumstances. Yes, our hearts need comfort. We comfort each other. Holy Spirit comforts us. I get it, believe me. I don’t know if you knew, but I’m somewhat expressive. But thank God, we have leaders that know what they’re doing, that know what to say, that know what to agree with. They’re not saying stupid demonic doctrine that doesn’t represent victory.

I’m going to read it again. I’m going to declare a few things. And Dave’s going to take off with victory. Not because we’re faking it, but because we know it. Do you hear? We know it.

Exodus 13:17…

“When Pharaoh finally let the people go…” I don’t love that phrase. It’s not accurate. God put pressure on the enemy, and he had to let the people go. So, “God did not lead them along the main road that runs through giant territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land.” Have we gone through giant territory? Yeah. Answer me. Have we gone through giant territory? Yeah. Have we faced some giants? Are we killing and slaying those giants? Yeah, we are. And it’s the shortest route.

We are on the short route.
We’re on the main road.
God is leading us on the short route, on the main road.

And we are walking away from the familiar, the old stupid slave mentality. And we are expecting exactly what God said and then even more because He does far beyond all we could ask or think according to the power that works within us. And if the power that works within us was ever demonstrated, it was demonstrated on that pulpit as of late.

“How was it demonstrated, Jeannie?”

By an enemy coming in and us raising up the standard in Jesus Christ and saying, “This is what God said, and it’s upon us.”

Prayed…

Holy Spirit, as Dave and Mike worship, you minister your Word to us.
You minister the confident expectation of your goodness to us, how you are so worthy to be praised.
You are so worthy to be exalted because, Father, you sent Jesus to finish it.
We are walking in a finished work.
We refuse to be fooled by kill, steal, and destroy.
We refuse it. We focus on you, God.

God takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it for good…

Think about this. He takes what the enemy meant for evil, and He turns it for good. It started at the cross. Do you see that? So the enemy thought he was doing evil, but that act alone ended up equipping the saints. It’s the reason why we are here today utilizing that name with full authority. It’s the reason why he’s a teeny tiny imp with a big mouth, and we get to decide what we believe.

Do you see that?

So we declare, and we have the honor by declaring this to agree with our leaders in declaring this, that what the enemy meant for evil, God is turning it for good. And when God turns it for good, it is God good. It is God results. It is God manifestation. It is glory.

It is something we’ve never experienced before and have been ready for it for a long time, where our tents are being enlarged so that we can move in this. It is now.
