Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Worship leader Kathy…
Focus on Jesus…
Good morning, everybody. Whether you’re here in person or online, we welcome you. We welcome the Holy Spirit. Even though He’s already here, we still ask Him to have His way and to do what He wants done this morning. I know a lot of us are dealing with health challenges and family stuff and financial things and there’s just lots of stuff, right? But, when I was praying about this, God was like, “If you focus on Me, I take care of everything.” So instead of asking Him for a whole bunch of stuff, we’re just going to focus on who He is, right? Which is what they do in heaven, by the way. There is no need up there. And that’s where we’re seated.
Heavenly worship in Revelation chapter five…
I was reading Revelation five this morning. It says, “Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels numbering thousands upon thousands and 10,000 times 10,000.” I can’t even picture that number. I don’t know about all of you, but that is bigger than I can comprehend. But innumerable angels, right? “They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders in a loud voice they were saying, Worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth, and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and praise. Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them saying to Him who sits on the throne and to the lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever. The four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshiped.”
Sister Barb…
John 14:2 says, “My Father’s house has many rooms. If that were not so, would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you?”
The ESV says “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”
Enter the place that He’s already prepared for you…
So Jesus is saying that He’s going to leave and He’s going to prepare a place for you. What? In a room that God has prepared for you in heaven. And so this morning, we enter into a place that Jesus has already prepared for us. Just like we enter in when we’re worshiping, we’re entering in with heaven. We’re entering into that place that He’s prepared for us to be today. There are rooms. There are places in God.
Our reward is Him!
Some translations say that there’s a mansion. But I like rooms because to me, I want to be in Father’s house. I want to be in the room that’s right there where I can see the throne. Because my reward is Him. My reward is not a house, a mansion in the “back 40.” My reward is Him.
And so today we go to that place that He’s prepared for us. I mean, who doesn’t want to be by the throne? I don’t want to be out there in the woods, in the bougie cabin. I want to be right there where everybody is seeing Him in His fullness and glory. That is the place that Jesus has prepared. He went by His blood, by His sacrifice. He went and prepared that place for us in that great room that so many beautiful people are already worshiping in His presence.
That wasn’t what I was going to share, but that came up in my heart this morning as I was sitting there. He so wants us to be there in that place and be so excited to be in that place that He prepared. Like even this day and this moment, that place that we’ve joined in with all the worshipers in heaven. Glory to God. Thank you, Jesus. Let’s sing a little bit.
He’s raised us up together to sit with Him…
I love how Kathy flows. She stepped on one of my scriptures. I was like, “Yeah, she’s with me.” Ephesians 2:6–7 says, “And He raised us up together and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come, He might show the exceeding riches of His grace and His kindness toward us in Jesus Christ.”
So He made us to sit together. And where are we seated in Christ? We’re seated at the right hand, right? Jesus is sitting there at the right hand of the Father. So there we are seated.
The Lord is my chosen portion…
I’ve been chewing on this scripture in Psalm 16 for about a week. “The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup. You hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. I bless the Lord who gives me counsel in the night when my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me because He is at my right hand. I shall not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices. My flesh also dwells secure for you will not abandon my soul in sheol or let your holy one see corruption. You make it known to me the path of life. You will show me the path that leads to life. Your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever.”
I’m going to read a couple other versions of that last scripture. “You make known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
Remember where we’re seated? “…in heavenly places with Christ and He’s seated at the right hand of the Father.” You make known to me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
You have shown me the path to life, and you make me glad by being near to me, sitting at your right side. Pleasures, there are pleasures forevermore.”
Are you getting this?
“You have shown me the path to life, and you make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at your right side, I will always be joyful. You will show me the path that leads to life. Your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever.”
The word “pleasure” in Hebrew…
Now, I want you to listen to this. That word “pleasure” in the Hebrew is used to describe something that is pleasing, agreeable, or delightful. It conveys a sense of beauty or pleasantness that is both aesthetic and experiential.”
In the context of the Bible, it can refer to pleasantness of a person, place, or experience, often highlighting the goodness and beauty of God’s creation or the joy found in righteous living.
Seated with Him, receiving the pleasures that come from Him…
So there we are seated in Christ at the right hand of the Father, in Him, and every moment of every day, we can receive the pleasures that come from Him. Right there at any moment, you can turn your heart to Him. Say, “Here I am. I’m seated right here with Jesus. I’m at your right hand. And I thank you that…
I receive that pleasure of financial freedom.
I receive that pleasure of your presence.
I receive that pleasure of grace.
I receive that pleasure of healing.
I receive that pleasure all that is in you that is pleasing that it pours out to me because here I am seated at your right hand and forevermore forever and ever and ever, we get to receive those pleasures from Him. Insights into Him just to see He’s so great and mighty and vast and deep. Incomparable to the human mind. We need that as we sit there to receive of Him in that place. We’re in the place. We’re in that place with Him. We’re seated in that place! And in that place comes all the goodness of God—everything that is within Him.
And that’s for right now! We’re seated now! It’s not something off into the future. It’s something for us right now. So let’s lift that up in Jesus’ name.
Prayed…
Father, that the body would have a revelation of where they are seated of what they can receive today, right now, in that place of His presence that is overwhelming and all consuming.
Thank you, Father, that your anointing is moving. Your anointing is flowing in your body, Lord.
That they begin to see and understand who you’ve called them to be.
That what they have, the resources that they have in you, Lord, that at any moment they could lift their hearts to you and receive anything because you are willing. You are full.
You are the many-breasted one with every, every, every single thing that would be necessary for life and godliness.
You just ooze, you ooze supply, you ooze healing.
It just comes out of you, Father, as we approach the throne. All that goodness just oozes out of you. Glory to God! Yes! Saturates us as we come into your presence. You just saturate us with all of your goodness.
Lord, let your body understand. Let them comprehend. Open their eyes to see and their ears to hear what your Spirit would speak in Jesus’ name.
Come on and enter in. Enter in. Shake off the dust. Yes, you’ve been dragging your feet. It’s time to shake off that dust and get moving. Today. It is time to pick up your step, walking into the things that He’s called you to.
And there’s a grace to get there. Glory to God. So we yield ourselves to that spirit of grace.
Oh, like on eagle’s wings, Lord, you carry us right to yourself. You show us things to come. Yes. Yes. You reveal to us the future so that we’re fully prepared, Father, for everything that is ahead.
Father, that you’re speaking to people’s hearts and you’re revealing the truth… the things that are ahead for them.
You’re revealing that pathway. Every step in Jesus’ name perfectly set in place in Jesus’ name.
But you have to get into the race. You can’t move forward if you don’t take a step. It’s time to get in. It’s time for the whole body of Christ to get in. It’s time to get into the race. Take your place.
Transformation. Transformation of the body. Transformation, Father, into the mighty moving force that you created your church to be, Lord.
Oh, taking this land, taking this nation, taking this earth for you. Yes, that’s right. It is a hostile takeover! We’re taking over and we are not letting the enemy have any place. Yeah! A mighty army moving forth by the power of the Spirit.
Hearing His voice, I follow His leading. Yes, we take a shot, but by the power of the Holy Spirit, and it dismantles the plans of the enemy every, every, every, every place that we speak into. Yes, it destroys and unravels and completely shakes loose the plan of the enemy.
That’s why we need to be there in that place. We need to get the instructions. We need to hear His voice… His plan. Oh, glory. Every way of His is a victory way… the enemy cannot overcome.
Exhortation…
God is omnipresent. Do you know the devil’s not? He can only be in one place at a time, but God is everywhere. He’s amazing. The enemy is nothing. He’s defeated. Jesus made a show of him openly. He’s a punk. He’s nothing. God is everywhere all the time, moving in the earth, and all we need to do is tap in to where he’s going and what he’s doing.
