Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Prayer leader Jeannie…

Good morning. We have the most powerful people on the planet here this morning. I’m Jeannie. Thank you for coming to Corporate Prayer. We have some really cool things that Holy Spirit is going to share this morning through me. What an honor.

While waiting for breakthrough, the enemy tries to plant weed seeds in you…

Holy Spirit, give me the order of how you want to share this. About a month ago, we started to get some breakthrough in our business after a long period of time. It’s not been one of the worst times experientially, but after a period of time. And we were starting to wonder that maybe we need to change directions. Yet Holy Spirit, there was still that “stay the course, stay the course.” But we weren’t seeing the results. I don’t know… kind of like practically everything that any of us experience. And then you get a weed, maybe be around a Christian, another believer that always had… okay, there are some believers where knowing Jesus is all about a moral standard and living an ethical life. But really the power of God, let’s just set that aside. That’s for another day. These are just that I found in my own personal life. Then there are other believers that say, “Well, you know, we have to deal with reality.” And so reality kind of seems to be the standard. You know, someone might be sick. Well, we have to deal with the facts about the sickness. You got to deal with reality. And if you’re not dealing with reality, then somehow you’re an inadequate Christian. Okay?

A righteous indignation rose up in me…

And then when you’re in a place where you are planting and tilling the soil and the results aren’t coming, we kind of started to wonder, maybe we need to change direction. Well, then we started to get some breakthrough. Okay, really here’s what happened. So then one day I’m driving and this righteous indignation rose up in me. I know none of you are surprised by that. And I said, “God…” And I said it like this, but even more expressively. None of you are surprised by that. I was alone in the car. So… easier.

I said, “I thank you that you are closing the door to every option except for us that people have to come to us. We are their only option. That they’re exhausted and they need us.” And then I thought, Wow, what just happened? Just so you know, that happens when I lead prayer. I scare myself sometimes.

An exasperated person needed help…

So two days later, an exasperated person emailed me needing our help. So I asked God, I’m like, “Okay, well is this going to be another start without a finish or is this one going to work out? Because I’m kind of done with disappointment.” I’m as exasperated as that person that contacted us, really. And we can apply this to what’s happening in our state. You can apply this to any situation where things are long and drawn out, or there’s a delay or whatever.

The name Shammah came…

So then the name “Shammah” kept coming up in my spirit as I was asking Him, so I looked it up. So I’m going to read you the passage. But the big cherry on top is that Hank Kunneman mentioned this obscure passage on Tuesday night that Holy Spirit had given me three weeks ago for a month. So I absolutely loved that meaning. It’s wasn’t just for us. It’s for the body of Christ right now.

David’s mighty men…

Josheb-Basshebeth

2nd Samuel 2:23 references David’s mighty men. So first David’s mighty men talks about Josheb-Basshebeth. The first one that’s notable is Josheb-Basshebeth, one of David’s mighty men. He killed 800 men at one time. Seriously, think about that: 800 men at one time.

Eleazar

Then the next one that is referenced is Eleazar the son of Dodo. He defied the Philistines. This guy arose and attacked the Philistines “until his hand was weary and stuck to the sword.” You know, that’s where we’re at. We keep our eyes on God. We keep our doing in the Word. And we might be tired, but our hands stay with the Word. His hand was stuck to the sword. I would imagine the blood of the enemy, the blood of the Philistines helped that hand stick to the sword.

Shammah

But here comes Shammah, the obscure passage that Hank Kunneman mentioned Tuesday night. I mean, when I heard that, I leapt off the… I was tired and then I wasn’t! And after him was Shammah, the son of Agee. “The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines, but he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it and killed the Philistines. So the Lord brought a great victory that day.”

Harvest matters to God…

Okay, so a month ago, I’m reading it and I’m thinking, “Okay, thanks. What’s your point?” And I heard that inner whisper, “Jeannie, it’s not just souls that matter to me because they do. Harvest matters to Me. It’s not just you being faithful that matters to Me. It’s not just you sowing seed that matters to Me. Harvest matters to Me.”

And as He started speaking, I really started to listen. And here’s what He said. Now hear Me correctly. I’m going to tell you what I’m not saying. I’m not saying that being faithful doesn’t matter. It absolutely does. It’s a part of our character as believers. I’m not saying sowing seed doesn’t matter. It absolutely matters. It’s a part of what we do as believers.

When the Philistines came, the Israelites fled!

What I’m saying is, what He was telling me was we forget that we are like have an actual kingdom mandate to receive.

So here’s this field full of lentils they had planted. They had sown seed in a field. And the Philistines—delay, hindrance, some kind of stupid bill in the government, whatever a Philistine represents—came to the harvest, came to everything that had been planted through prayer, through declaration, through whatever it is that God has for you. And there was a harvest right there. But then the Philistines came and the Word says that all the Israelites fled.

Shammah got it done…

It’s very strategic that God only requires a remnant. He is so massively beyond intelligent because it’s the remnant that gets it done. So here’s Shammah: “You know what? You do not get this harvest. We planted. We tended to this field. Philistines, I don’t care who leaves. I’m standing my ground and I’m going to kill all of you because this is my harvest.”

And my Father said to me…

“Sweetheart, you’ve allowed delay. You’ve allowed unbelieving believers. You’ve allowed reality, whatever, to keep you from listening and heeding My voice, that harvest doesn’t matter to Me. You have been focusing on… ‘Well, I just got to stay more faithful. We just got to keep planting seed.’” He said, “Yeah. I’m glad you are. I’m glad you do. But it’s harvest time for you!”

Religion and tradition sucks the freedom out of everything!

You know, we can get—even me—I hate religion and tradition. I don’t know if you noticed, but I hate it with a passion. Because it sucks the freedom out of everything. Isn’t it funny? The world doesn’t operate in religion and tradition and they just keep advancing. But the Church sits around in religion and tradition, criticizes people that aren’t religious or traditional. But “Hello?” That’s kind of the answer. It is holding us back.

I’m going to say a little bit more about that and some of the stuff I’m going to say isn’t going to feel good. But that’s good. It’s time for us to let go of religion and tradition. The world doesn’t want it. The world doesn’t want bondage and you got to perform to get just a teeny, tiny blessing from God.

Jesus hated it. He hated it!

I forgot that my Father cares about harvest…

Well, I had started to get into that without even knowing it. I’d just be like, “Okay, we just got to be more faithful. Okay, I got to do my non-negotiables.” Seriously. And I forgot that my God, who is my Dad, cares about harvest.

Normally in our business, it takes 4 to 8 weeks, sometimes 12 weeks to close. We closed that in 2 weeks. Do you know why? Because my Dad spoke to me in such a way that my heart could hear through the shame. You know, sometimes results can put shame on us if we allow it. The lack of results.

I forgot that I’m His daughter…

I started to think, “Well, I just have to be more status quo. I just got to be more conventional. I just need to be more traditional, more religious.” Right? And I was allowing it to weigh me down. And I forgot that I’m His daughter and His plan is sure. And yeah, I happen to be the fiery, mouthy daughter. And He is like, “Yeah, let’s keep moving in that, Jeanie.”

It’s time to stand and demand…

So once we got that revelation that harvest matters to God… He said, “And by the way, you planted enough for this current harvest. By the way, I see all you planted. And by the way, it’s ready right now. But now, what I want you to do is stand and demand. I want you to demand that My goodness puts pressure on the Philistines. I want you to demand that My goodness, My favor, puts pressure on every circumstance. And I want you to say, ‘That’s my harvest. You can’t have it.’”

What to do when fear starts to creep in…

So one day I’m driving and fear starts to creep up in the middle of this business. So I called my husband, Mike. I thought, That’s a Philistine coming in. That fear, that doubt. I’m not going to accept that Philistine. I mean, I had had it with no results! Once I got the revelation that harvest mattered to God, that was it. I was not going to put up with anything else. So I called Mike on the way home and I go, “Hey, can we pray again? Can we Shammah this?” He was right on board. We’re like, “God, we thank you that your favor is forcing the right result. We thank you that your goodness puts pressure on any hindrance in all of this right now, because that’s our harvest. It’s already there and we’re standing and we’re killing every Philistine by the grace of God.”

None of David’s mighty men were his brothers…

Okay, so one day years ago when I was leading prayer, I didn’t know what we were going to talk about. I woke up in the morning with the question, “Were any of David’s mighty men his brothers?” And I looked… zero. Think about that. This is related. I’m setting us up for how we’re going to pray. Think about that. David’s brother saw him be anointed king. They saw him kill Goliath. These mighty men that killed 800 men at one time, that kept the word in their hand so much that the sword stuck to their hand even when they were exhausted. Shamah who said, “No, you can’t have my harvest.” There’s nothing familiar attached to those men. There was no pass. They just went with what God said. Like, familiar. There are familiar things that we expect to support us, right? Imagine if David would’ve questioned his calling because his brothers couldn’t get on board. Or if he would’ve allowed his brothers not getting on board to keep him from moving forward. Let’s not do that here. Let’s not, “Well this happened before where I didn’t get victory back here.” Familiar. “And it seems like I’m facing the same situation. Maybe won’t get victory again.”

No!

God says harvest matters to Him. How much have we prayed? Do we believe what God said? The words that have been spoken over the Twin Cities, over Minneapolis, over Living Word. Imagine a Shammah in that field of harvest. It was harvest time. You know we are in harvest time! Imagine if Shammah would’ve said, “It’s not worth it. They’re just lentils.” They’re just lentils that we planted, that we toiled, that we’ve tended to now for however long. Imagine! And if he would’ve just “Go ahead. You can have it. It’s just money.”

Oh, I love that one. “Oh, it’s just money.” Shut up. Why are we so mad about the fraud? Because it’s money. Because it’s resources. God intends us to have resources.

Our harvest is valuable and we must protect it!

So today, Father, is harvest time and yeah, it’s no surprise that the Philistines would come and try to take our harvest. You know, if what we have right now wasn’t important, the enemy wouldn’t try to steal it. Does he go to a shack? Do you put locks on a shack door with nothing in it? No! You protect what’s valuable. Our harvest is valuable.
