Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Good morning, everyone. Happy Monday! Good to see y’all here in the chapel. My name is Ken, if you don’t already know.

First of all, I’m just so thankful that you showed up, that you’re here in this chapel, that you’re joined with us online. I don’t say that sarcastically. I say that sincerely. I’m grateful for your supply and for your prayers and your hunger. You’ve just empowered yourself. You just set yourself up to succeed. You know that, right?

We are here today to contend…

Jesus said in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed, or empowered to prosper or succeed, are those who hunger, those who thirst, those who desire…” Whether you feel like it or not, you desire from your spirit the rightness of God, the justice of God, the plan of God, the goodness of God for you, for your own, but for your society as well, and your nation, and those that come after you. And so we are here to contend today. That means stand with God today for His plan. Yes, in our lives, but also in our nation. Also in the midst of this generation that we presently are a part of. Make no mistake about it. God is about His business and He’s working with those who will stand and work with Him.

Luke 12, let your lamps be burning…

A couple of scriptures I wanted to remind you of this morning. We’re going to pray some things out today, so get ready. There are some very specific things that I believe God has for us to articulate in faith in the spirit today. And in Luke chapter 12, Jesus writes, “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning.” In other words, your spirits burning white hot for God. In Luke 12:36, it says, “And you yourselves be like men who wait for their master when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks, they may open immediately to him.”

Matthew 25:1, the parable of the wise and foolish virgins…

In Matthew 25:1, we find the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. It says, “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now, five of them were wise and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” In other words, they took a full experience of the Holy Spirit.

Be filled up with the Holy Spirit…

I believe today you’re going to be filled up. You’re going to be saturated. That should be a great desire of each and every day, that we would be immersed in the oil of God the Holy Spirit. This is an hour where you can’t afford to live on spiritual fumes, to live empty. We must be a people who use our wills and say, “Lord, today I shall be filled.”

Matthew 25:13, watch for the son of man…

Now again in Matthew 25:13, it says, “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the son of man is coming.” So watch, be intent to look for His appearing. Prayer puts us in a position to watch, to look for His appearing.

Galatians 5:25, turn your heart toward heaven…

Galatians 5:25 New Living translation states, “Since we are living by the spirit, let us also the follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” Can I just put you on notice? Can I just prompt you this morning, that today you must turn your heart toward heaven? You must set your objective on Him; let your objective be Him today and what He has to say about you and your life, you and your family and household, you and your nation. We cannot live day by day by accident or leaving the Holy Spirit and His leadership in our lives to chance, where maybe occasionally we bump into His leadership or we happen to hear His voice. No! It must be an absolute necessity for us to hear from God in our hearts individually to begin with, to be a people who live and abide and remain in Him, in His Word and His Spirit in us.

Use your words…

So, I challenge you today to use your words to invite the Holy Spirit to instruct you, to mentor you, to guide you, to teach you what this season of your life ought to mean for you, how it should be defined, and what it is all about. Every season it has a purpose. And the season that you’re stepping into of January of 2026 has a purpose. God has something in mind for you in this month, on this day for that matter. But in this month of January and as you go through 2026, He has something in mind. He knows what is out ahead for us as a church, as a nation.

So what should our stance be?

What should our posture be in the spirit, but also practically—financially, relationally in our businesses, in our ministries, in our families? What ought we be praying today? Because prayer, like our pastor taught us this weekend, provides a gateway for the power of God.

Prayer opens up a portal for God to get into the earth realm into your life realm what is necessary, what is vital now. People’s lives hang the balance spiritually and sometimes even naturally. And the difference maker and the game changer lies at the heart of individual followers of Jesus, sons and daughters of the most high God, who instead of living by accident or living by muscle memory, we choose to live each day turning our hearts toward Him. We choose to live each day saying…

“Lord, what would you have me to pray?
What would you have me to decree?
How would you want me or mentor me in using my authority spiritually?
What should I bind?
What should I lose?
What big, hairy, audacious prayer ought I to pray and release today in faith?”

He will be looking for people of faith…

Don’t forget that the Gospel of Luke 18 teaches us something extremely relevant for us in this hour as pray-ers, as believers, as people of faith. And that is, is that when Jesus returns, He will be looking for a people who are in faith, releasing faith, specifically in and through the exercise of their authority and prayer.

We must live intentionally now…

We must be determined to live under the guidance and leadership and instruction of God the Holy Spirit. Jesus described His job description as one of leadership in the life of the followers of Jesus to reveal, to transmit, and to disclose the plan of God. Your life depends on it, whether you realize it or not. Our lives, America, for that matter, depends on the people of God getting the plan of God and praying it out then walking it out in obedience.

In Galatians 5:25…

Once again, says, “Since we are living by the spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.”

In Romans 8:5…

States from the New King James, “For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh. But those who live according to the spirit our minds, our thoughts, our attention is set on the Spirit.” We must set our thoughts, our attention on God the Holy Spirit. Your life depends on it. Your todays and your tomorrows will reflect where you set your attention on today.

There are things coming…

So I just sense that in my heart there are things coming. There are things presently unfolding that we must be aware of. And sometimes you’re aware of it consciously. Other times, God sets you up or prepares you unconsciously. He’s able to position you and put you in the right place (The secret place, you could say) in His presence where what comes next, what transpires today, what occurs in the days ahead will not touch you, will not cast a negative shadow on you. Because you’re found in the secret place. You’re found hidden in the Master’s plan. The plan that’s already blessed.

Book, “Prayer Letters” by Grace Ryerson Roos

So let me read something to you. It’s a little book called “Prayer Letters” by Grace Ryerson Roos. And it’s a series of letters (reflections, really) written from Grace’s place of prayer to other pray-ers and other believers who are hungry to walk closely to Him.

In letter 13, she writes…

I want to talk to you about prayer. There is no real spiritual life or growth without it. Prayer is talking to God. It is worship. It is fellowship with Him. It is thanksgiving and praise. It is sharing our troubles and problems with the one who has definite power to help us. Prayer is drawing near to God that He might draw near to us.

(You might recognize that out of James 4:8.)

There is nothing mysterious about prayer. It will be just what you make it. Whatever you invest in, it will bring a return in proportion. For that reason, prayer is a business. It is a spiritual currency. We invest in the kingdom of God to get God’s will done on earth. There are ways, however, to tend to this business that will bring spiritual prosperity to you and the glory of God.

I’m going to jump down to another section where she says…

The most effective praying is based on the promise of God. It is very important that we study the Word to know what God says. Somebody once made the point that when you open His Book, God opens His mouth. So the first way you hear His voice, the first way you know His will is by knowing His Word. You open His book, He opens His mouth. You never become too spiritual to not require the Word of God (or the Gospel for that matter). We must hear the good news. We’re to live and move and have our being by believing by faith. And faith emanates or comes from the Word of God. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

The truth of the matter is what you need today. What I need today is hope, encouragement in the faith of God; that comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, by the words of Christ.

She writes…

It is very important to study the Word of God and know what God says. What He says is our authority and the basis of our faith. What God has said shall not return void. So great is the power of the Word of God that Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall not pass away.” Let us make prayer our business. Here is a challenging statement to claim in prayer each morning during the month of January.

Numbers 23:19 says…

“God is not a man that He should lie. Neither the son of man that He should repent.” (Or you could say change His mind.) Hath he said and shall He not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall He not make it good?”

Well, of course, that’s a rhetorical statement. Of course, He will make it good. You’ve heard me state the verse that says He watches over His Word to perform it. He’s going to see you through, through His Word. He’s going to see the plan of God that He’s begun in your life and in your household through to a flourishing finish because of His Word.

Feed on His Word…

His Word works. Amen. So engage with His Word today. Feed on His Word. Be nourished up by words of faith today. It will give you courage. It will strengthen you. Don’t pay attention to the enemy’s accusations or the feelings of weakness or inability or inadequate-ness, or even the temptation to fear. All those things can come and you can sense them, and you can see them, and they seem to shake your life at times… or a remembrance of the past or what happened to you or what someone did to you or what didn’t work out years ago. All those things are what the enemy leverages to discourage us, to detour us, to distract us.

But my Bible still states…

“Look away from all that distracts, unto Jesus the author, continuer (is implied in that passage) and finisher of your faith.” He’s going to see you through to the end. He’s going to see that the promise is fulfilled in your life. That your loved one is snatched out of darkness and brought gloriously into the marvelous light of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

He is going to see to it that the church arises in this hour in America and around the world. Because we stand with Him. We agree with Him. He’s going to see to it that the enemy is put on the run in your life because you stand your ground and refuse to bend, or bow, or follow the enemy’s plan through those secondary thoughts that he’s trying to sow in your heart.

You can say “no” to those things. Just say, “No, you don’t Devil, and no you won’t. Not today. Not on my watch. Because I stand on the truth of God’s Word and I’ll have it exactly the way the Word of God records it.”

I will prosper. You will prosper in the plan of God. Your latter and will be greater than your former. You will fulfill all that God has intended and recorded in your book of destiny. You can say today, even if your life is shaking in fear, your life is shaking because of what has happened in recent days of the report that you received. You can stand in the midst of that seeming impossibility and those feelings or those accusations the enemy hurls at you and say…

I am set up to succeed.
I will walk in the strength and in the power of the Spirit.
I don’t have to feel it.
I don’t have to see it.
I know it in my heart and in my gut because it is recorded in His Word.

Don’t back off! Don’t be bent out of shape. The Bible says know how your enemy rolls.
