Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning, everyone.
His presence is the ultimate game changer in our lives…
I want to take a couple of moments and share some encouragement. I was sensing in my heart as we were worshiping… Do you sense His presence? Because that’s what it’s all about. At the beginning of time, God made up His mind that He would find relationship in and through His creation. That’s us! He desires to be near us. He desires to commune with us, to be in relationship with us, not just to be somebody we look to when we’re in crisis or in trouble. And it’s His presence that is the ultimate game changer in our lives. So just acknowledge His presence and have a heart open to Him this morning and what He has to say and what He’s doing in us collectively, but also in our hearts individually.
Our walk with Jesus in not a “flash in the pan”
And I was thinking about how the walk of being a follower of Jesus is not a flash in the pan. It’s not a sprint. It’s a marathon. And so I want to encourage you this morning to not relent or not back off. Even if you haven’t seen an answer to prayer or something hasn’t changed in your life, if you’re alive and you’ve got a pulse, then God’s got a plan. And He is seeking to unfold and progress that plan in and through your life. Our great need is to continue to journey with Him today, to not throw in the towel, to not grow weary and give up, but to know God is with us. He’s for us. He is in us.
Don’t grow weary in well-doing…
And I’ve seen that in my life so many times where something didn’t change in a day, a month, even a year or even 10 years. But I continued. I did not grow weary in well-doing. And you’re not going to grow weary in well-doing today in believing, in fighting the good fight of faith.
It says in 1st Timothy 6:12…
“Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life” or the God kind of life, or God’s promise or plan for your life… “to which you were called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Romans 8:26 says…
“Likewise the spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know how to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit makes intercession.” In other words, the Spirit supplicates or prays for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered. In other words, sometimes when you groan, the Spirit of God is expressing the plan of God. He’s praying out the plan of God. When you pray in your heavenly prayer language, you are praying out the plan of God. You are making progress. You are rising in the plan of God.
If you don’t give up, guess what? You win!
And maybe it’s not evident in the moment or in the day or in the week or even in the year, but if you will not grow weary in well-doing, and you will continue to fight the good fight of faith, guess what? You win! The promise is you win! In your family, in your finances, in your future, in the plan of God, we win! Things are rigged in our favor, as I’ve often said. God has already rigged life in our favor, but we have to stay in there.
Our great equipping in the Holy Spirit…
We have to also take advantage of our great equipping, which is the help of the Holy Spirit. And we put the Holy Spirit to work. We put angels to work, for that matter. When we continue to pray, when we continue to worship, when we continue to make faith decrees, it sets angels in motion. It sets the cogs of heaven in motion to bring forth His plan in its time in your life. And it says here that the Holy Spirit helps us. It actually means, He takes hold together with us against. In the literal language, original language, it says, “takes hold together with us against…” What?
Against whatever opposition you’re facing
Against whatever infirmity
Against whatever weakness
Against whatever sickness might be trying to take root in your body.
Don’t just sit and take it! Take hold together with the Holy Spirit against what you’re dealing with. He’ll give you the right language. He’ll give you the right prayer to pray, the faith decree to say to push back that darkness. So the Holy Spirit likewise also helps in our weakness, or our inability, or our lack of understanding. “For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself…” the Holy Spirit Himself “…within us, makes intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered.” Or uttered in intelligible or understandable speech. In your language, in other words. But He can utter them in your prayer language.
The Holy Spirit links arms together with you…
“Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because He makes intercession for the saints according to the perfect will of God.” The will of God or the perfect will of God. So understand, the Holy Spirit when you pray is taking hold together. He’s linking arms with you. He’s joining you. He’s bringing all of the backing and power and authority of heaven. And He’s expressing it and He is channeling it through you so that what is in the spirit dimension that opposes you, that is even afflicting you in pain or in sickness or disease. Remember, the Bible is very explicit. It says that sickness and disease and pain are nothing more than demonic oppression. There’s no such thing as sickness or pain in the heavenly arena or in the heavenly realm. Only wholeness and life and vitality and strength.
So God is not using sickness.
He’s not using pain.
He’s not using a bad break to teach you something.
Not at all.
We live in a fallen system…
The Bible says don’t even let a person say such a thing. That’s my paraphrase. Don’t even say that God tempts, tests, or tries with evil. He doesn’t. He’s a good God. But we live in a fallen system, as I say. In a world where there’s a curse in operation. And so we can’t just sit and take it. We have to join Jesus in the work that He’s doing. What is He doing? He’s wants to enforce His victory in this earth realm in your life, in your household, in our nation, through the church.
Oh, that’s a good word! Come on now.
So I want to encourage you this morning. That you can smile. That you can rejoice. That you can have a positive perspective on the balance of 2026.
The Holy Spirit is standing by, waiting for you to take hold with Him…
We have a lot ahead of us yet to know that things are rigged in your favor. But God needs us to wake up and realize the Holy Spirit is standing by. The Bible says He’s the great standby. He’s just standing by waiting for you to take hold together with Him in your prayers. Not just in morning prayer. But in your everyday ordinary day. Take hold together with Him. Acknowledge Him. Pray in the Spirit even for a couple of minutes. By doing so, you’re joining forces with God the Holy Spirit. And you’re applying the authority of heaven…
Against that sickness
Against that problem
Against somebody else’s problem
And you’re pushing it out of the way so the plan of God can proceed forward and prosper.
There is a process…
We are making a way with each passing day for God to have His way in our hearts and through our lives in this world. But make no mistake about it, sometimes things are a process. Even when Jesus ministered healing to people, it says “as they went…” after Jesus prayed for them… “As they went, they were made whole.” So oftentimes there’s an outworking that takes a bit of time. So don’t grow weary if nothing has happened in a year. God’s not through with you yet. He’s going to have His way. Continue to believe. Continue to take hold of the Holy Spirit.
James 5:15 says…
“And the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will for be forgiven.” Consider yourself forgiven this morning. Don’t sweat the small stuff. I’m not saying that sin is a small thing, but in light of redemption, it’s a small thing. That’s why I say things are rigged in your favor because the blood of Jesus has been shed once for all and for all time.
For our sins
For our mistakes
For our mess ups
And the outworking of redemption and the outworking of the resurrection and the power released in that resurrection is a God-eternal event and is flowing toward you and toward me. In fact, in me, and in you, and through us for the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells, or inhabits, us on the inside.
We have been set up to succeed…
So why, of course, we are set up to succeed. Because there’s a power source within us. In fact, when you pray in tongues, when you pray even in your understanding, you are applying the power of God to your life. You are energizing yourself. You are taking advantage of heaven’s resources, authority, and power to do what you can’t do on your own. But God can do through you because He’s in you and you’re in Him. Once again, James five says “and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
James 5:16 says…
“Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed.” And finally it says, “The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” I think the Amplified says, “makes much power available, dynamic in its working.”
There have been times in my life where I had some missteps. I made some mistakes. Don’t look at me in that tone of voice because you’ve done the same thing probably. And I’ve been very conscious over the years to realize, “Okay, for me, I need to go back to prayer.” Because the best way I can put it is prayer as you spend time, even just a few minutes a day, that time will grow as you learn to fellowship with the Lord and you realize how rich and meaningful and profound time with the Father is. It brings forward… it brings that resurrection source of power on the inside of you that for many believers while it’s in them because they profess Jesus and they’re part of the family of God now, it lies latent within them. But prayer activates and brings forward that power so that it no longer is something that’s down deep on the inside of us. But it brings that power, it brings that authority, it brings that resurrection force forward so that it can be breathed in, so that it can be applied to your…
Feeling the fire of God…
There’s been times I’ve prayed and I felt the fire of God. I felt my arms and my hands burning. And that wasn’t just for me. Anybody can experience that. The power of God, in other words, is made tangible so that we can fellowship with it and function in it, in our decision making, in our physicality where we need strength physically. It brings it forward. So we operate in that resurrection power rather than refer to it on Sunday morning. It’s something that is a part of our daily reality—that power, that anointing, that wisdom, including in prayer.
So we are entering into a new era…
Can I just prophesy. I’m not the only one that’s prophesied that. We’ve entered in. We’re across the threshold, I believe, in a new era and time and season. One that will require us not to continue to conduct our lives in the old ways. I’m not saying the old way was all bad. But we’re in a new season, in a new time where God is leading the church and calling the church to step into the supernatural-ness that is and is by His Spirit. We’re to live and move and have our being in Him.
Prophetic word came forth…
I just sense there are parts of people’s hearts, or their souls, their inner life that has been dead… that has been DOA (dead on arrival) a long time ago. So I just say in Jesus’ name, “Life, be restored. Let the healing virtue of Jesus be applied to hearts and emotions and lives and situations right now to quicken and to bring forth with resurrection power.”
Prayed…
In Jesus’ name, we pray over dreams this morning… Dreams and purposes and initiatives that have been assigned to us, assigned to churches.
By the Spirit of God, we pray, Lord, breathe life into those things, those things that have been dead or laying to the side.
We pray, Lord, let there be a divine incorporating of those things once again.
Let even people that are listening to me right now, may the dreams and the initiatives and the purposes of God that lie within us that maybe we’re not even familiar with or we’ve forgotten about in a time gone by Lord, I command those things to be breathed upon by the Holy Spirit for those dreams, for those purposes, for those intentions of your heart to now be brought forth front and center to be brought up out of the deep within us and to be activated, to be revived once again.
