Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning. Welcome to morning prayer. Good to have you with us. Be sure to say hello if you’re logging online with us this morning. My name is Ken. I’m one of the staff members here at Living Word.
God’s Word is our foundation…
I thought I would start us off by just sharing a few scriptures to begin with before we worship. When I was talking with somebody this weekend who came up to me and asked me a little bit about prayer in the lobby during one of our weekend services, I was reminded of the importance of the Word of God as our foundation and our fuel when it comes to prayer.
We never graduate beyond the Word. It is our foundation. It is our propulsion. It is our fuel where prayer is concerned. And so, you might be just starting your first cup of coffee this morning and maybe your eyes are just recently opened. Whatever the case might be. Let these words encourage you, uplift you, strengthen you, fuel you for this time of prayer.
Proverbs 18:14…
Proverbs 18:14 from the Amplified Classic. “The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble. But a weak and broken spirit, who can raise up or bear.”
So in other words, a case is being made for a strong spirit and one of the most important ways we can strengthen ourselves enlarge our foundations, undergird our spiritual lives is with the Word of God. Just simply hearing the Word of God; faith comes and grows and accentuates within you by hearing the Word of God, by hearing the words of Jesus as well.
Ephesians 3:16…
Ephesians 3:16 says, “He would grant you to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.” Anybody need strength this morning? I’m just speaking strength over you today…
Over your heart
Over your situation
Over the decision that you need to make
Over whatever you’re facing
Over whatever you need to pray through this week.
I speak strength to you. May the strength of God undergird you, reinforce you. May you be saturated through and through with supernatural reinforcement.
2nd Timothy 1:7…
Then again, in 2nd Timothy 1:7, it says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
One translation says, “a sound well balanced, healthy mind.” Somebody just needs to take that this morning. You’ve not been given a spirit of fear. Get yourself excited actually that you’re going to have the opportunity to step out. And go in the direction that is of your fears today. Faith does not bow to fear. Faith, instead, goes in the direction of fear.
Every day we should do something even in a small way, that we feel anxious about, what we’re fearful about. You want to defeat fear? Look it in the face. Move in that direction. Do what the enemy’s telling you can’t do. Amen. Even in little ways. And over time, you will find yourself outside of your fears doing what you once thought was impossible, but now is reality for you.
Philippians 4:13…
We’re probably all familiar with this if you’ve been a Christian for a day. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Let me just say, this week’s going to be a good week. It’s going to be a really good week. I say that with conviction.
Blessing is coming your way.
Favor will be presented to you.
Doors will be open.
Windfalls and harvest will be received.
He has a bright future for you…
For the Lord is strengthening you to take steps in the direction of His intention. And His intention is to remind you here on a Monday, that He has a bright future in store for us. That He has hope for us. That while the enemy’s giving his best shot and he’s still messing around and attempting to distract us and get us to believe something less, God is saying, “No, I have something more. I have something full of hope. Your future is bright. Your best days are yet to come.”
Well, how can you say that, Ken?
Because I choose to believe that. Leverage your will, as I say, and choose to believe that today is the day the Lord has made. We get to and can rejoice and be glad in it. Because He is coming through. Come hell or high water, God is coming through for you. He is still on His throne. Jesus is still seated jointly with Him at the right hand and He’s still watching over His Word…
Regarding that situation you’ve been praying about
Regarding that deal that you’ve been grappling with
Regarding that symptom that’s been rearing its ugly head in your life.
God is still watching over His Word and He’s still in the process of performing it. It’s not a matter of “Is He willing?” No, He is willing. Jesus said emphatically to more than one person in the New Testament, “I will. Be thou whole.” He is willing that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. (3rd John 1:2) That’s His will, that you prosper and be in health.
He refines and purifies your faith…
Oh, you might have to go through something, walk through a valley. You may have to persevere in prayer. But praise God, even in that, we grow stronger. Your faith is refined and purified. See God’s multiple steps ahead of you when you’re thinking, “I just need this done, Lord.” The Lord is saying, “No, just keep walking out that deal by faith, My promise by faith.” Because while the answer’s already been sent for that which you prayed and that which you’ve taken a stance on according to His Word and His promise, while the answer’s already “yes and amen,” in the process of you journeying by faith to the result in the natural of your healing, of your promotion, of your next step, of that answer to prayer, about whatever you’re praying about around the world… In the process of that…
He is refining
He is strengthening
He is working on the inside of you to prepare you for the second and the third and the fourth step that’s in the future.
The enemy doesn’t realize, he is thickheaded and a forever loser and doesn’t realize that the more he turns the heat up, the adversity up in a believer’s life, the more God intends to get glory and bring about transformation and produce a likeness of Jesus in yours and my life. So that we stand tall and stronger on the other side, in the place of victory… on the other side of the adversity.
The example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego…
The truth and the reality of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego still stands and is still vital and relevant for us today. The enemy turned up the furnace seven times higher or hotter than it was before, and yet the children of Israel were thrown into that furnace. And when they got in the midst of that adversity, when they got in the midst of that problem, they looked up! And they realized that there was one that had the likeness of the Son of God with them. There was a fourth man in the furnace with them…
In the midst of the fire
In the midst of the unknown
In the midst of what you don’t see with your natural faculties, Jesus is with you.
You’re coming out of this…
And you’re coming out of this, whether it takes a day, or an hour, a month, a year, 10 years, you’re coming out of this without even the smell of the smoke of that fire on you. You’re coming out without a singe. You’re coming out stronger, more refined, more purified, more like Jesus. And you better believe, that’s what God is after. That you and I would grow up even to the fullness and the stature of Jesus Christ. That glorifies Him. That sets you up to succeed two and three and four and more steps down the road in the plan of God for you.
Trust God’s plan for your life…
God is thinking out ahead, even into the eternities to come. He knows what He’s doing. Trust His plan. Refuse to bend or bow to the present circumstances. Stand upright in your faith today. You can do it. You may not feel like you can. You may not feel like you can go another day. But I’m here to say you can go another day because God is with you. The fourth man who is the Son of God is right there in the midst of what you’re facing. You may feel alone, but you’re not. You have a majority with you.
The Bible records in one instance regarding the children of Israel facing off against a great army, the Lord reminded them that more be with them than be with their enemies. Many more be with you, arrayed around you in the realm of the spirit than be with your enemy. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
You’re going to get it.
You’re going to have it.
You’re going to run off and be entirely made whole.
You’ve already got the answer.
It’s a matter of standing…
It’s just a matter of standing and persevering and patiently walking day by day with Him. So acknowledge Him in your life. Acknowledge Him in your circumstances. He’s saying “yes” to you. He’s saying “yes” to every promise. He’s saying “yes and amen.” “Yes and so be it.”
Regarding healing, regarding provision, regarding an answer pertaining to a situation that you’ve been grappling with for some time. He is the God of “Yes.” He’s faithful. He’s just. He’s good. He’s kind. He’s generous. He’s easily to be embraced.
You’ve got this!
And so you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you today. You’ve got this! All the way. You’re going all the way. You haven’t come this far to default to the past. You haven’t come all this way to flame out or have to wave the white flag. No. No. You don’t. No, no, no. Put that thought of quitting, that thought of bailing, that thought “I guess I’ll just have to endure this lot in life until Jesus comes.”
No! Emphatically NO!
There is a spirit of faith on the inside of you if you are a child of God. That like Caleb and Joshua of old, you as well as they were capable of saying, “Let’s go up at once. For we are well able. We are well empowered and endowed to take the land because Christ is with us.”
Isaiah 40:29–31…
Isaiah 40:29–31 states “He gives power to the faint, those who wait upon the Lord.” This is a paraphrase or are kind of an abbreviated version of this passage. “He gives power to the faint…” or the weak or the weary. “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.”
Even right now as I’m talking this morning and reminding you of these things, you’re taking strength, your spirit is becoming imbibed. A sponge absorbs the water. Well, guess what? Your spirit, I declare, is absorbing mighty strength today. Your spirit is absorbing a supernatural supply right now in this moment. Glory to God!
Nothing can keep us down…
I’m just feeling it this morning. I’m telling you, nothing could hold us back. Nothing can keep us down. The truth of the matter is, and the Devil doesn’t want you to know this, that he in fact is the one who is scared spitless. He is the one who is a forever loser. He is the one who has no ground to stand on to inflict you with sickness or to keep you in lack or to harass you with problems or melancholy spirit or fearful anxious feelings in some way.
No! He is the one who is the author of those things. So tell him to “Pack it up and move it out, Devil” in Jesus’ name.
For this is the day the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is going to be a really good week. A week of advancement. A week of progress in your life, in my life, in this church, in your church, in our nation, and yes, in the state of Minnesota. For the enemy is scared. He’s shaking in his boots because there is a great divine shaking happening. And that shaking is the very glory of God that is now flowing into this generation in time and turning things around and shifting things in the direction of what God had long before planned out. And that is…
That we would be a people of glory
That we would be a people of victory.
That we would be a people who know God’s goodness in the land of our day-to-day lives.
In the land of Minnesota
In the land of America
In the land of Israel
In the land where you dwell and are a resident of.
Psalm 112:7–8 states…
“I will have no fear of bad news.” Oh, somebody got some bad news this weekend, or in recent times. You don’t have to receive that. The Bible says you can believe the report of the Lord, and you can say “no” to the bad news and “no” to the negative doctor’s report and “no” to the status quo.
Be strong!
You’re going to have to let faith run up and down your spiritual spine and stand up and get yourself in a strong spiritual stance. Because you might have to stand a bit, but that’s okay. You don’t have to worry about the timing of things to the promise of God becoming reality. All you need to be focused on is Him and what He said and let His words emanate from your life.
