Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader DJ…
Good morning, everybody. Happy Friday.
He said, “When you pray, forgive the ought against somebody.” I was reading this morning. I’ve never seen that word before. Read it many times. Maybe you guys did. He said, “When you pray…” We are here for prayer this morning and we’re going to pray and worship. As a matter of fact, in the end, I know Cindy has something. But I’m going to pray this morning at the end for your sons and daughters. I was called by someone to ask to pray, but we have the words from God for your sons and your daughters. And this scripture we’ll give you in a few minutes. But this word, “But when you pray…” When do you pray? If there is any time in the morning, evening, night? “Oh, I pray all the time.” No. When do you pray? He said, “Look, not if…”
By the way, my name is DJ. And this is Cindy. We are going to be praying here this morning. We going to change the situation by just praying in the name of Jesus.
He said, “Jesus, don’t even come to my house. Just send a word. I have authority. I’m the boss. And I have a boss and have people under me. I know You have authority. Just say the word. Don’t even come to my house. My servant will be here.” Jesus said, “How marvelous. I have never seen such faith in Israel.”
So Jesus can see our faith this morning. One word. This word this morning can heal cancer and tumor and growth. He can give life. Hallelujah.
He said, “So when you pray, go into your room. When you have shut your door, pray to your Father.”
I didn’t see this next one. You know what? Who is in the secret place?
Did you ever read that, Cindy? He was in the secret place. Look at it.
Our Father, who’s in the secret place and your Father sees in secret and will reward you openly.
He is in the secret place.
When you pray, shut your door and the Father who’s in the secret place, who sees and reward you openly.
He’s in the secret place and He reward us what we prayed in secretly. Hallelujah.
We should pray openly, but what we pray in secret, He’s in the secret place.
Now I know why I say Psalms 91, “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high God.” That’s us! You. Me. We abide under the shadow of the almighty God. Let’s get you to the secret place.
And the Father who is in the secret place, when He sees us praying secretly and He reward us with whatever we prayed for.
Psalm 91, “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high God.”
We abide under the shadow of the almighty God.
We are saying of the Lord, you are my refuge, you are my fortress, my redeemer, my healer.
His shadow come upon us in the secret place.
We abide under the shadow of the almighty God.
Now we can say, I will say, you are my refuge. You are my fortress. You are my healer. You are my provider. You are my everything in the secret place.
Our world will change. You know He’s right. Leave the place we are.
Come into the room. Shut the door and pray in the secret place and the shadow of the Almighty shall come upon you.
And our vocabulary changes. Our words change.
We get strong in the secret place of the most high God.
We say, “You are my refuge. You are my fortress. You are my redeemer. Oh, in you I trust.”
Father, you rescued me from the trap of enemy. You guide me into the path of righteousness.
I thank you, Father. You command your angels concerning me.
A thousand may fall on this side. Tens of thousands on this right hand. It shall not come near me.
Because we have prayed in the secret place of the most high God.
Prayer leader Cindy…
So unless a seed falls to the ground… There’s a whole forest in a seed. And then it produces more forests and more forests.
So, Father, we thank you for the mind of Christ that we see good wherever we go.
I used to say that I’m a Johnny Apple seed.
He was a gentleman. He pioneered in new areas of the United States. He went along the river and he would plant apple seeds. So that there would be food for others and for himself.
Wherever we go, we have things to cause growth in others because we abide in the vine. And we are the branches that bear fruit. And more and more fruit. That our fruit would abound and our fruit would feed others in their journey.
Father, we love your Word and nothing shall offend us.
Nothing will cause us to come down from our place in you.
We’re in an ever ascending journey, upward and upward.
Somebody talked to me the other day in the break room and said, “The Lord said not to coast in life because coasting means that actually you’re going downhill.”
There’s no treading water, so to speak, in the kingdom of God.
We’re always ascending higher and higher.
Like Pastor Ken would always say, if you think that you’re being setback in some ways, it’s only a springboard.
So get on the diving board and dive into more.
We don’t always necessarily know what it looks like on the outside, but inside we are settled.
We have that assurance that God is with us. Emmanuel.
God is leading and guiding us.
He takes us by the hand. I’m walking with God.
I walk in the light of His good pleasure and it’s a delight.
I woke up this morning and I was singing, “He’s the Lily of the Valley. He’s bright as the morning sun and He provides for us every day.”
Lord, we thank you that you are our provider.
Behold the lily, it neither toils nor spins.
But Solomon was not as arrayed as the lily of the valley.
He takes care of us and He cloths us.
And we shine bright as the morning star.
Thank you for your revelation.
Thank you, Lord, for giving us the light to walk by and the light of the world.
The light has come and the glory has come.
Great is our peace. Great is the undisturbed composure.
Great is the contentedness. We’re content in you, Holy One.
Our place is not to toil or spin, but to adore you like a flower opens up.
